This is really the most beautiful building in the Middle East! The exposition is simply amazing, where you can see the works of Leonardo da Vinci and Claude Monet. And there is also a great museum for children, they will definitely not get bored there.
It was the main impression of the year for me. I am very glad that I was able to visit this museum.
Lovely! And very interesting!!! Of course, it is a must-visit if you have reached the Emirates. The territory itself deserves to be inspected and, if you are lucky with the schedule, you can listen to a lecture or presentation. In the Louvre itself, everything is arranged quite differently - according to the epochs and you can see what happened at the same time in China, in some Polynesia and in Persia, for example. Very cool, because usually collections are arranged by geography. In addition - follow the exhibitions - there was an exhibition of post-impressionism on our arrival, just a gorgeous collection from several museums. It is very interesting to watch the audience - there are a lot of Europeans, but there are also a lot of locals. Of course, children run around and get mad, but no one pulls them, so it does not interfere at all. In terms of time, we enjoyed spending half a day, but we are always in no hurry, we can limit ourselves to 2-3 hours if we just take a look. There are construction sites around, but this is almost everywhere in the Emirates. Tickets were taken online, there was an audio guide. There's still some kind of evening show going on, you can combine it, but we weren't interested.
It is not correct to compare it with the Louvre of Paris, it is a museum built in recent years on the site of a desert, or a part of a desert. That's what's impressive. I recommend it! Enjoy!!!
I really liked it, we walked, we were impressed. It is a very interesting idea to form collections on historical epochs and cultures that existed at that time .
An iconic place, a must-visit for every tourist. An incredible project combining modern technology and history
There are a lot of tourists, but there is no sense of crowding. After the tour, you can sit in a cafe or restaurant on the territory with a beautiful view. There is a handmade souvenir shop (expensive). There is wi-fi.
An interesting architectural structure, both externally and internally. Huge and high halls, and a very modest number of exhibits in them. There are also few tourists. The museum has Wi-Fi with the ability to download an audio guide for free and informatively visit the halls of the museum. It is located on an island and surrounded by water. Only positive emotions remained👍
The place is wonderful. There are many interesting exhibits. There was little time to visit the museum - this is the only disadvantage!
At the exit, you can buy a guide in Russian, souvenirs. You can download the museum's app and listen to the audio guide.
There are a lot of amazing exhibits inside. Definitely ready to visit!!
A VERY, VERY, VERY COOL PLACE!!
WONDERFUL EXHIBITIONS!! I WAS AMAZED AT HOW COOL IT IS THERE! there are a lot of sculptures, paintings and all this is very beautiful! I strongly advise you to visit the Louvre, you will like it)
Expectations were not fulfilled. Absolutely nothing surprised me. It was said about the unique roof that sunlight at certain moments illuminates the paintings and the sun glare creates fantastic impressions. This is not true, the paintings are naturally located in enclosed spaces and the sun's rays do not penetrate there. There is an open space under the roof where you can relax in the shade from the intense heat. However, not everyone can afford to buy water, it is very expensive like everything else
I liked the museum. Of course, I would like more paintings, but my native Louvre has allocated my brother more cultural monuments than art. I recommend
A wonderful place to visit in Abu Dhabi! Starting from the architecture of the building, and ending with the exposition and thematic exhibitions. You can spend endless time here! The hall is very interesting, where exhibits are shown in detail on a huge screen and a story is told. I will definitely visit again!
The place is cool, there are a lot of interesting paintings and expansions) slowly, I think you can master it in 2 hours, and quickly in 30-40 minutes)
I liked it👍🏻
A compact modern museum, many interactive stands, Wi-Fi everywhere, I really liked the collections of exhibits by time, because in one room there are things and works of art from all corners of the globe created at the same time. It's very informative. Admission is free for children under 18.
The architecture of the building itself is most striking. The content is like an addition to it. There are not many exhibits, the museum can be fully viewed in 1-2 hours at a leisurely pace.
An amazing museum on the water!
A diverse exposition. There are cafes and restaurants nearby and inside. The building itself is very beautiful and unusual. In the evening, you can see a show of quadrocopters nearby on the embankment.
I recommend you to visit!
I really liked the Louvre. The masterpieces of different centuries were viewed in comfortable conditions, not limited in time. You can use the services of a guide or an audio guide, we downloaded the application and got acquainted with all the works.
I recommend it!
I really liked the children's museum with the passage of quests and tasks. The children are delighted. At the same time, admission is free for children.
There is free parking.
The exposition itself is not large, exhibits from antiquity to modern art are presented. For adults, you can go for a check mark at a time.
To be in Abu Dhabi and not get to the Louvre, I'll say you haven't been to Abu Dhabi. This is the real Louvre, only smaller than in France. The exposition of antiques and paintings has about 300 items. Moreover, all originals are not copies. The oldest object is 65 thousand years BC . I recommend. The price is 18 dirhams.
Nothing special, if you are a connoisseur of historical finds and like to look at various objects from different eras and civilizations, you may like it. And so, for show, you can visit.
I'm thrilled!!! I recommend you to visit, a huge collection, looked at in one go. The architecture of the building is amazing, as indeed everything in Abu Dhabi is!!!
Externally, the building is very impressive! And the idea is commercially profitable - to open a branch of the Louvre in the UAE. Also, a couple more museums will open in this location soon. I'll be waiting. The exposition is interesting, but small, which, as I understand it, led to filling one hall, they had to mix different civilizations. Therefore, there is a vinaigrette effect when, for example, the Sumerians are mixed with Egypt and China.
A wonderful place, beautiful interiors. A decent collection, interesting temporary exhibitions. The unusual architecture of the roof adds to the uniqueness of the place. There are coffee shops, places to relax.
A great place with very interesting exhibits , there are even those that are > 20 thousand years old BC . I was lucky to get to a temporary exhibition with masterpieces from Pompidou.
The Louvre in Abu Dhabi is an oriental jewelry box set against the background of the sea, the design and architectural solution of the building itself is stunning in its lightness and modernity. The collection is collected in different directions of art, but it is no less valuable.
I recommend you to visit even if you are in Dubai, only 1.5 hours away.
Just a stunning place! We were here during the holidays, the girl liked it twice, it is especially beautiful here in the evening, I do not regret a second of my time
I advise you to visit. It is not necessary to take a guide. Use the money you save to go somewhere else))) Download the application there and you will have an audio and text description of each exhibit. Admission is free for children under 18 years of age. At least in January 2024, this was exactly the case. And my advice to you is to use Yandex Taxi. It turns out not to be expensive.
a very beautiful place! both around and inside. The exposition is not very large, there are works by famous contemporary artists.
We visited the on-site cafe and bookstore. Everything is on the level!
A very beautiful museum, of course. The architects have worked with the space and now the whole museum is simply permeated with air and sun. Actually, the museum exposition is not particularly large, so you will not get tired of walking. It is better to come less on weekends, then you will have to look for a parking place for a long time.
Since you have arrived in Abu Dhabi, deign to walk to the Louvre. An interesting and informative place. I liked the roof and the turtles. The cost is not much, compared to the Louvre in Paris.
Anyone who has been to the Louvre in Paris understands that this is still plagiarism from the original. The exposition is not large, it is quite crowded, but if it is combined with a beach holiday, it is a great topic.
Mind-blowing architecture! Zoning and lighting are thought out to the smallest detail in every sense... But what about the exposition? - you may ask. Well, the exposition is a profitable business ;-)
One of the reasons for a trip to the Emirates, or rather to Abu Dhabi, is to visit this museum.
It was not possible to buy tickets online, UnionPay did not pass either on the website or during a visit (maybe you should have tried inserting a card). Paid in cash.
There are not many exhibits, but they are all real, not new models, nor copies, but originals. It's a strange concept for organizing them into halls, but on the whole it's interesting.
The museum has a personal WiFi, downloaded the app and were able to enjoy stories about the exhibits in Russian. Some of the halls have already changed expositions and not all information has been updated in the application. But overall very good.
There is a cafe on site, with adequate prices and delicious coffee.
The Cartier exhibition is wonderful)))
Always beautiful. Because of the compact size, I like it here more than in Paris. I'm sorry) There is a lot of water inside, the building is unique! Light. Air. I recommend everyone to visit! We are there every year and every year there is a new exhibition. In January 2023, the Impressionists! In January 20/4, Cartier. Gorgeous!!!
Positive. The museum is interesting. There are many paintings, statues, clay products. There are many different epochs, countries, and cultures represented. There are works from the period of the Egyptian Pharaohs to the Cubism of the twentieth century seridina. Of the most famous artists, I discovered paintings by Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso and Leonardo Da Vinci. I liked the hall with Japanese paintings from the time of feudal Japan. I remember the folding canvas depicting the arrival of the Portuguese in Japan. It is very reminiscent of a comic book, probably from those times there are roots of modern anime (manga).
An electric car runs from the parking lot to the museum, which can bring you for free.
Minuses. All annotations are written in three languages, Arabic, English, French. There is no Russian. Paintings by local artists are not represented. I am sure that there are talented creators in the UAE.
We must try not only to take from other cultures, but also to develop our own.
In general, it's worth going. I recommend.
We liked the museum, 12 halls for studying, a space by the water, a children's exhibition, we got to the Cartier exhibition. We went around studying and translating all the signs. The price tag is average, about 3,200 came out for 2 adults and 2 children. You need to arrive early, there are huge queues by 12 o'clock.
A very beautiful building, just respect for the architect. The main exhibition is similar to our Pushkin Museum in a super truncated format. But the Cartier exhibition is something especially wonderful for girls 🙈
A wonderful museum! Futuristic building design. It 's spacious and cool . The international exposition. Paintings, sculptures, and signs of everyday life from ancient times to our time are presented.
I recommend everyone to visit!
It's a beautiful place.
There are a lot of interesting works.
The guards are very attentive and do their job very well.
Sometimes it was annoying if, for example, I wanted to show a child something in a painting.
The buildings themselves are very futuristic.
There is a place to eat.
There is a separate building for the child, where he will definitely like it. Like it
The museum is interesting, the exposition is mainly rich in sculpture and household items. The art gallery is not big, but it is amazing. It's worth visiting there!
Louvre Abu DHabi is amazing.
@louvreabudhabi
The latest addition on Saadiyat Island in the UAE Capital Abu Dhabi is a real cultural treasure trove. The revolutionary Louvre of Abu Dhabi, the result of a unique collaboration between the Louvre in Paris and the UAE government, contains hundreds of priceless works by the greatest artists in history. The Louvre Abu Dhabi building has many water channels and a huge openwork dome. This creates the feeling that the museum is located as if under the open sky in the open sea.
Kayaking is possible around the museum.
Meditative music is playing in the halls.
The architecture is amazing.
An incredibly beautiful museum! It is very interesting and delightful! Free Wi-Fi, world-class exhibits, a very pleasant and noble atmosphere! I highly recommend you to visit.
An interesting museum, the Louvre, of course, can not be called, but it is necessary to visit. But you can only get there by taxi so far. The building itself is architecturally more impressive than the fullness of the museum. It took about 2 hours to inspect, a huge plus that the museum has its own free application in different languages with interesting audio accompaniment.
