The same question worries me a lot about why there is no dining room. A small and expensive kiosk has already been opened. You don't take food with you. It turns out that the inside is beautifully clean. It would be great to open a dining room😍
I came in and was impressed by the size of the foyer, gorgeous! Then we went through different halls, liked a piece of the ancient market, I would like more of these decorations. The hall with paintings just passed, but one with a battle is awesome, you can sit and look at it!
Very interesting. I was in it for the sake of an exhibition of Scythian gold and ancient periods. The exhibition is amazing. A lot of interesting things for someone who is interested in ancient times. There are a lot of schoolchildren, couples go. But: the guide leads the children running, couples walk in 5 minutes one hall. It can be seen that they visit for show. The statue of Lincoln at the entrance looks so-so, a copy, gilded. I haven't watched contemporary art.
The museum has a very large area! 7 floors, of which 2 floors were closed. I didn't have enough expositions in it: a large territory and few expositions. Once there was an audio guide, but now there is none and the visit turns out to be stupid. The cloakroom, elevators, escalator, toilets are all in excellent condition! But in the hall on the last 7th floor there are expositions in space-they are all covered with a layer of dust. There was even trash lying around in some expositions. At the same time, there is a viewer in each room.
The spacious (as Kazakhs like) building and the large areas of the museum are impressive, enthusiasts have something to see and study, systematically, organized and orderly. She took off the star rather for the service, for the indifference of the staff to their work, or rather to the visitors. They are busy with their personal affairs.
The Museum has more potential than it actually has. There were significant expositions such as Terracotta warriors or Scythian Gold... But there is room to grow 🤓🤷♀️
The review of the Da Vinci Principle was conducted by an intern, there were no other options. Although there are always a lot of museum workers in the lobby...
the cafeteria in the lobby, which replaced the dining room, sells mainly sweet and harmful (for children), but at an exorbitant price 🤥
A wonderful museum, a rich exposition. Separately, I would like to mention the exhibition of gold products, as early as the 2nd century BC and later.
Unfortunately, there were no audio guides in Russian. All exhibits in the museum are signed in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.
One of the best museums in Astana and Kazakhstan. I've been here several times and discovered something new each time. Huge, amazing spaces. Carefully thought-out expositions. Many thanks to the staff and administration of the museum!
We were at the museum night. In general, the museum is not bad, but the concept of the building is at least very strange, there seem to be a lot of exhibits and galleries, but even local workers could not explain to us how to navigate them. It resembles the labyrinth of the Minotaur, perhaps it was intended that way...
A beautiful large museum. Questions about the authenticity of the exhibits remain, especially the costumes of the ancient Kazakhs look improbable. But the spirit of modern Kazakhstan is felt. I liked the section dedicated to space and Baikonur.
How huge it is !!! But it is very interesting to learn something new, there are many different halls where you can get acquainted with the national culture of the Kazakhs!!! Everything is great 👍👍👍 I advise you to definitely visit this place+++++We came from Bashkiria ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A wonderful place to get acquainted with the history and customs of the republic.
It is informative, I really liked the 3d exposition. Fresh and impressive.

When you visit a country, you need to visit a historical museum to get to know it better. His building seems huge, although it is probably not all occupied by expositions. I took a ticket with an excursion, although the guide did not take me through all the halls, but only through the most basic ones, and only then, after the tour, could I look at everything more closely.
There are also temporary exhibitions on the 5th, 6th, and 7th floors. I especially liked the hall with the works of Kazakhstani artists
With beautiful architecture from the outside and inside , there are few exhibits , but it was interesting to learn the history of Kazakhstan
A lot of work has been done for the museum
It is very interesting, worthy works of young authors in paintings and exhibitions, many halls of different eras, there is a souvenir shop and paintings.
Huge areas and territories. There are beautiful expositions. For example, about the Golden Man. But sometimes logic gets lost. Not all the stages of Kazakhstan's formation are clear, there are downright failures. And it feels a little empty. The areas are large, but not filled
It's a good museum. I went with my family on the weekend, there were a lot of visitors. An adult ticket to visit all the halls costs 1700 tenge. My daughter liked the hall with dinosaur skeletons the most.
The museum is very large, it takes at least 3-4 hours to get around completely. The museum closes at 18:00, so I advise you to come early, preferably before lunch.

It is an excellent choice for visiting with children or with guests of Astana, and even guests from abroad will appreciate it. Good expositions. There is a sense of scale in the hall. In my opinion, there are not enough design details, I want to "finish" this whole idea. Parking was free on the day of the visit, there was no queue at the ticket office. I was pleased with the exposition of modern art - I would like to highlight such an attraction in social networks - I think it would be interesting! The children bought souvenirs at the exit.
I can sum it up- the place is cool. I recommend you to visit. The administration should think about attracting a brand manager or a cool operator, this will take the museum to a qualitatively different level, I am for culture to the masses!
We really liked the museum! We were with children aged 11 and 6. There are not many places in Astana in terms of cultural and interesting visits, I highly recommend this museum! The second one is the Energy Museum, which is also a must-visit)
Initially, I underestimated this museum. I thought that nothing could surprise me there anymore. But I was very pleasantly surprised! The National Museum is now one of the places that I now recommend to all guests of Astana to visit.
A very beautiful museum! It is located almost in the very center. If you decide to come for a visa, visit, it will definitely not be superfluous. There are many beautiful exhibits and interesting national treasures.
I liked it very much. The guide spoke in pure Russian. By the way, there were a lot of local children's groups. It's great that from a young age, children are told about their beautiful country
For general development, it's probably worth a visit. The incomprehensible location of the halls is like a maze. The only thing that impressed me was the golden hall. The restored costumes, embroidered with gold, are amazing. You can buy a separate ticket only to this hall.
Very mixed feelings, a beautiful large building, few exhibitions. I asked for a ticket to all the exhibitions, but they didn't let me go to the 6th floor, they said that the ticket did not cover (there were 0 people at the exhibition), the 5th floor was closed, but they told me about it when I already went there, the 3rd floor was shooting, again they kicked everyone out.
It's worth going, of course, but it seems you're not welcome here))
A huge museum, a large square, bright and cozy. It consists of 7 floors , each floor with its own theme . You can get acquainted with the history and culture of Kazakhstan. Even the hall dedicated to the history of Astana has many more interesting things. I advise everyone to choose a time and visit the museum.
I was amazed by its scale. The first impression was of a wide variety of ancient expositions, the golden room and the coin room struck the imagination. And the expositions of the second half of the last century forced us to plunge into our world, many things reminded us of childhood, studying materials at an older age. After going through these expositions, you involuntarily plunge into memories.
Oh, the magnificent museum. There are so many interesting things there. ABOUT KAZAKHSTAN.
I advise you to take a Guide. Which will tell you a lot of interesting things about our land and the history of OUR ANCESTORS. I advise you to visit the Museum!
A great museum! Very good exposure. It's hard to get around everything in one day. It was interesting to learn the history of Kazakhstan. The museum itself is also attractive from the point of view of architecture. It's a pity there wasn't a cafe inside, there's not much choice around in the vicinity.

It is definitely worth a visit, it will be interesting for both children and adults. The Military History Museum. Outside the museum there are exhibits of military equipment from the Soviet era. T 34, air defense, grads, artillery, and so on.
Indoors is no less interesting.
An indescribable experience!!! one day is not enough to go around all the halls. It is a very interesting museum and I would really like to return there again
1 star for comparing similar museums - the heritage of the nation and the country of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. ~90% of all exhibits are "reconstruction". At the same time, the reconstruction of exhibits 1-2 BC (For example) clothes, utensils - everything in a modern way. For what?
I do not recommend visiting, it is a waste of time

A visit is mandatory with a guide! For us, unprepared visitors, it was very interesting to learn about the history and customs of these places. The size of the museum is impressive, but unfortunately not all expositions are available.
The museum is large, beautiful, modern, but most of the exhibits are not interesting! It is better not to go with children, you will not get pleasure, they will say "don't shout", "don't touch" and so on at every step.
DINING HORROR, avoid by all means!
They kick all the time somewhere
A magnificent museum. I recommend it! There are always interesting expositions. This year the museum turns 10 years old, and there will be especially many interesting events.
