A huge museum complex of the history of Kazakhstan with huge excesses of nationalism and Russophobia. For example, I was surprised to learn that the Russian Empire was colonizing Kazakhstan. Not a word about Russian gifts of lands. Of course you can't say that. A lot, a lot of Nazarbayev. The largest and most boring halls with photos of the former President. But given the generally small number of interesting places and a huge flow of new buildings, it's worth a visit
Of course, if you come to Astana, you need to visit this museum. A huge modern complex with unique exhibits. You can trace the history from the beginning of the republic to the present day. I really liked it here.
A huge museum. We've been lost here all day and we don't regret it in any way. A full ticket cost 3 thousand something. The expositions are interesting. There is a place to relax, air conditioning is working. Everything is very modern. I recommend you to visit
A wonderful museum, a huge number of exhibition expansions. When coming to the city, I advise you to start with the museum! You will not regret visiting this particular place one of the first!

It's a big building, there's a lot of stuff. It is very interesting, I recommend you to visit in tourist and not only traveling around Kazakhstan. The exhibits are also interesting
A great museum, we were on Sunday, admission was free, there is Wi-Fi and a food court inside. I especially liked the gallery and the hall with the mammoth
I rate it by 4 points, because the museum is interesting, but it's a little empty, I understand that not all people could find it, but there were a lot of closed halls, it was impossible to pass, we were not informed about it anywhere, although we really wanted to see it! You paid the money in vain
A very cool museum. Cultural objects from different eras are presented in detail. Very convenient navigation. There are many halls in the museum, so you need to take more time. 2 hours is not enough
I expected to see more. They tried to compensate for the poor Kazakh culture with a pretentious building. I liked the internal organization of the space. Very polite museum keepers and police officers at the entrance. But apart from ancient archaeology, there is nothing to see. The Golden Man and the rest of the figures are just modern reconstructions, made beautifully, of course, but were they like that? And not all that glitters is gold. Although some of the specimens from the exhibition are undoubtedly gold. I saw only one scientifically based reconstruction of a woman's costume. In general, the armor and cold steel of the Middle Ages and the Mongolian period are not represented. Is it possible that not a single saber, chain mail, lamellar armor has been preserved? Some samples of bronze knives and battle axes dating from the X-VIII century also raise questions and doubts about their authenticity, they are too well cast, without casting defects, without shells and slagging, there are no traces of corrosion from almost 3 millennia since their manufacture and being in the ground. However, there are interesting objects of ancient material culture with good detail. The paleontology hall with plastic dinosaur skeletons, but made very naturally and qualitatively, although small, is interesting. By the way, the plastic replica of the monument to Kultegin in the form of a large stone stele also looks very natural. And finally...There is a monument to Nazrbayev sitting in an armchair at the entrance to the museum...This is a monument to the sycophancy of the author, who, by slightly changing some details, stole the idea of a monument from the Avram Lincoln Memorial in Washington. This is plagiarism! The author probably really wanted to please our former president when he was still not a former one)))). To summarize: I recommend it, it's worth visiting, but as F. said.Ranevskaya,, behind every beautiful peacock tail, there is an ordinary chicken..." All to the museum!
The huge number of exhibits located on 7 floors of the building was amazing. Get ready to walk a lot, suitable shoes, water. It can take from 4 to 8 hours to inspect all the exhibits. Very interesting expositions.
Everything is beautiful, but the young generation working at the entrance spoiled all the impressions: two girls refused to let me pass with a backpack, although 2 girls with backpacks passed right in front of me. I had to go to the administrator.
As for the museum itself: take a tour, an interesting story, everything is clear and accessible.
The museum building itself is a separate piece of art. The expositions are interesting
I really liked the museum. There are many interesting exhibits, and the exhibition space is well organized. I went around every corner there. I recommend
Very weakly, as if the country has no history. Certain periods have simply been erased from history. The golden man and the first president, that's it. More stones. The yurt is one for everyone, as if everyone lived in the same type of yurt, show a simple yurt, Khan's, they were clearly different. This is so, for example. Where is the virgin land? Or it did not exist and there has always been Astana, there was no Tselinograd. There are many questions and few answers.
I've never been to a museum like this. You can write a review endlessly! It inspires admiration and respect. It is certainly recommended to visit as part of the cultural program when visiting Astana!
A modern, large and filled museum! Like the whole of Astana, it was designed and built very successfully! Sightseeing tours, temporary exhibitions - everything is there and everything is worth watching!
The museum is located in a wonderful location. The architecture of the building is unusual and unique. Exhibitions and expositions are interesting and informative. Field exhibitions are regularly held, which broaden the horizons and introduce new and young names in art. Open Days are held to help citizens get to know and be involved in the art of Kazakhstan!
Be sure to take a look and get acquainted with the Main Museum of our country!
Big and beautiful. There are many different installations and it is better to take a tour guide, otherwise nothing is clear, and if you know the history well, there is no need
Quite an extensive collection, but a bit confusing navigation. It is unclear how to go to see everything and not return to the previous hall to change the route. Otherwise, it is very impressive.
A very huge museum with various halls: numismatics, paleontology, art of painting and sculpture, cosmonautics and much more. It takes a whole day to walk around it and look at everything carefully. It's cool that we have such a museum!
The history of Kazakhstan in 1 place, several floors with a variety of exhibits, the main thing is not to come in the evening, otherwise you will not have time to view everything, you can also buy original souvenirs, leather goods, be sure to visit if you want to learn the history of Kazakhstan :)
We are thrilled. A gorgeous museum!!! Everything is new and modern. My legs are tired of walking. We still didn't understand whether we had passed or not))) I recommend you to visit
I was not allowed into the museum today. Rather, they let you in, gave you to put things in the wardrobe, buy a ticket, but you were not allowed to pass through the horizontal bar. They found fault with the cellophane bag in my hands, the size of which was about 30x20cm. Many women's bags are bigger, but the women at the turnstiles let them through, but I'm not. They demanded to hand it over to the storage room. I am sure that there are only documents there and I cannot leave them in the storage room because they are not responsible for their safety, they replied that they would not let me through anyway. I can't say more about the museum itself than the turnstiles because I had to leave
I was in this museum for the first time. I really liked everything, we spent 2 hours there and this time was not enough. I got so much impression that words cannot convey to you!! The museum staff is polite, if you ask, they answer all your questions!! I saw a diploma of the Komsomol regional committee dated 1969 to Academician Baraev , there was a street in Tselinograd in the Youth microdistrict in his honor.Kirovets was standing nearby. This is for everyone who remembers the old town.I would write a lot!! But I advise all guests and residents to see everything for themselves!!
A large museum. I liked everything. We went and looked at everything ourselves, it turns out that it is necessary to book a guide earlier, this is a minus of course. When the Guide tells the tour it becomes much more interesting.
I really liked the museum, especially the hall with the dinosaur and the mammoth, and in general a very wonderful museum, all the stands, halls, only there is no audio guide, I think that audio support will be corrected in the near future.
The museum is great! It fully corresponds to the status of a republican. Excellent exterior around the museum. Among the weaknesses, I would like to note the incomplete exposition of state awards. I would be happy to give you a consultation. I am the author of a book about the state awards of Kazakhstan
It's not a bad museum, I didn't like that the interactive panels are working very slowly (they could have forked out for the metropolitan museum), and the path through the exposition is a little unclear, I got lost on the second floor, as if I missed part of the centuries. And so it is very interesting, a stunning hall with mannequins in national clothes.
Informative, interesting, versatile approach to the presentation of the material (both layouts, texts, and modern multimedia). Did you have a good time
The size of the museum building is very impressive, but there are actually not too many exhibits. It is very spacious and there is a lot of free space.
The whole hall is dedicated to the first President of Kazakhstan.
There is a good dining room with affordable prices on the ground floor.
