There is practically nothing to see in this museum, all the exhibits are a new model of a lot of photos. The exhibits of the 5th-8th century BC are worthy of attention, but there are not many of them. Most likely, this is not a museum, but an exhibition. The museum itself is very large, but the occupancy of exhibits is very poor. Parking is available, but in order to find it, you need to try very hard. If you stand facing the entrance to the museum, then the parking lot is to the left of it and the entrance to it is on the next street.

I was there a few years ago. During the pandemic.
But for some reason, I was most impressed by the sculpture at the entrance. These khans with a menacing look, sitting on horses with equipment. Their appearance and energy overwhelmed me, made my heart beat violently and tremble. The authors can be proud of themselves.

I like this museum, it's big, comfortable, and there's a lot to see. It is interesting for children (from six years old, it is not clear to very young ones), adults and pensioners. Do not linger in the first halls, go to the hall of medieval history, the national, the golden hall. You can take a picture against the background of a large yurt and the khan's throne. There is something to see. If relatives have come to see Astana, but it is freezing or windy outside, and Bayterek suddenly does not work, then you can safely take them to this museum. (The last day of the month is sanitary, it is better to call in advance to clarify).

A wonderful museum with a lot of halls and exhibits. But it's better to come with a good amount of time. We didn't have time to go around everything in an hour. The ticket costs 2000 (including the hall of gold. It's cheaper without it). It doesn't work on Monday. The last Tuesday of the month is the orderlies day.
