Everything is great in the cave. But waiting for the tour is agony. And even when it coincides with a blackout. There is always a queue at the entrance to the cave. The room is stuffy, there are no air conditioners, you can lose consciousness from the heat.
The tour is 1.5 hours. New sensations from the scale of underground caves. We liked it)
Ps
I do not recommend preschool children-there were younger ones with us in the group, it was hard for them to walk 1.5 km, it was boring and parents constantly had to calm them down. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes-they will be useful on descents and ascents, because humidity and metal are wet.

An interesting tour, sometimes you get beautiful photos, the longest cave bridge. It's cool, even in summer you need to take a sweater or a light blanket.
Everyone should definitely visit this wonderful place, and children and adults will be satisfied.it's not cold there, you walk and unnoticeably as two hours fly by, the lake is beautiful blue inside, you go there in a trailer
A very beautiful place is breathtaking. Tickets are not expensive. If you are in Abkhazia, you will definitely visit this place and you will not regret it
I visited the cave for the first time this year. Well, I would have liked it, but there was no wow effect. Of course, a 13-year-old child was more impressed. Of course, I won't go a second time.
If you are planning a visit there, be sure to take a sweater or a plaid. Because it's cool and damp in the cave. Or there are blankets for rent nearby, like for 200 rubles. The cost of entering the cave in 2023 is 700 rubles per person. If I'm not mistaken, children under 5 or 7 years old are free. You can only take photos in the cave without a flash and you need to pay 50 rubles at the checkout right away. But in fact, no one checks whether the photo was paid for or not. Everyone takes photos without exception. So take pictures for your health and do not pay.
The huge cave is very large in scale. I am glad that I visited this place. The ticket cost 700 Russian rubles, it seems. You get on the train and they take you to the cave, then you get out and take a walk with a guide and start exploring the cave itself.
The cave itself is very beautiful! And everything is beautifully highlighted. But the streams of turia spoil everything. The people don't care, the tour guides are being adjusted, the lights are turned off so that they don't linger. I'm probably the only one who bought a shooting permit for 50p)) nobody cares, everyone took pictures.
It's worth going here once, you won't want to go to the second one because of the people.
The cave has been breathtaking since childhood. I always try to visit. I am very glad that the administration regularly works to improve the quality of guest service, and preserves traditions. The musical accompaniment perfectly emphasizes the power and beauty of the cave halls.
Beautiful, large-scale. I've been there twice already, first by myself, then my son was brought when he grew up. He was delighted. It works by the hour, it is better to buy a ticket first and then go to eat, just not in the dining room, which is in the building of caves on the second floor with a balcony. There's nothing to catch except the view. I have never eaten so tasteless at prices like in Sochi.
I really liked it. It is amazing in its size. It's amazing that water can act as such a builder. Of various shapes and colors: stalactites, stolognites, stolognates. You need to see it with your own eyes.
I read all the negatives before the visit - nothing came true. We arrived at 12, the queue is ten minutes long. We took tickets for 13. I left the car just below three hundred meters. There is a minus for waiting. It was stuffy everywhere, sitting in the shade of a tree on a blanket on the ground. During the hour, without problems and long waits, we boarded the metro and in five minutes we were in the first hall. Those who have already been in the caves will not see anything unusual. The difference is only in size. The trail is in good condition, it seems to be slippery, but no one has fallen. The tour seems to be dry, but what can be special there, except fables. At the end, the subway and the heat are back. In short, anyone who has not been to the caves will be interested. Who has already been, hardly. 700 rubles is expensive, but there is no alternative. But a monkey nursery for 400 is a waste of time and money, but that's another story.
A noisy place. A lot of people. It's almost impossible to park. Parking is only for "friends", for locals. And so they don't obsessively hint that the tires will be punctured so that they go to a paid parking lot. Parking is 300 rubles for the whole day. So it doesn't make sense to take risks.
it is fascinating from the first minutes of being in the cave!!!
I advise everyone, it was this excursion that brightened up my entire trip to Abkhazia)
You can watch it once, but the safety of visitors is at a low level: do not lean on the railings and fences, they are shaky. We didn't like the guide. For 1.5 hours of the tour, she talked and talked for 30 minutes at most. We wasted our time.
An interesting place. First, the mini train takes 5 minutes to descend, the trailers are old, but cool)) There are viewing platforms in the cave, the main thing is to keep up with the group because the light is turned off after you move to the next platform. I liked that the music is playing, adding goosebumps) I recommend
Large, well lit, well equipped. The guide tells an interesting story. There are many halls. Everyone is different. Tickets by time. The queue to buy a ticket is small. We bought it, then walked for 40 minutes. Tickets cost 700 rubles for both an adult and a child. There is a toilet.
It's fascinating every time you go there. From the heat of +32 to the cave from +11 is a great respite :)
To visit there is like opening a door to another World.
Anyone who wants to visit the cave, especially at the height of the season, let them be ready not only to stand in line, but to wait for their time. We arrived at 15:00 and the tickets were only for 17:10. The price is 700 rubles. I had to walk around the New Athos, there is something to see. It is about 14 degrees in the cave and very humid, after the heat outside 35 degrees, we thought we would freeze, although we took warm clothes, I will say that it was hot, since the tour takes place at a fast pace. It won't work out much, there are a lot of people, and everyone is being pushed.
An interesting and unusual place, it is better to buy tickets in advance, the tour lasts 1 hour and 20 minutes. It is advisable to take a light jacket or blouse, since there are only 12 degrees in the cave. Under the opera music, the guide tells the story of this cave. Crossing the bridge is very unusual. We enjoyed it with my son.
A very informative tour. Of the minuses - long queues, without a waiting room as such. But you can walk around waiting for your time. But it is better if there is an opportunity to come early in the morning.
I really liked the cave , the only thing was that we walked the route very quickly .
Since it was the first time we listened to the guide and had little time to take pictures and make a video.
Abkhazia. April 2024. An entrance ticket for an adult is 700 rubles, 50 rubles a shooting permit, a fine of 500 rubles (how is it checked?). Six caves are available for visiting. The tour lasts more than an hour.
It is necessary to queue for a ticket from early in the morning. In principle, the caves are beautiful, but there are more beautiful ones. Well, the tour takes place, as they say, at a gallop through Europe
This is the top. Every time they visited New Athos, for some reason they avoided this landmark, but as it turned out, it was in vain. The cave is amazing in size, the tour is interesting. We walked 1.5 kilometers through the cave, following the views and stories of the guide, we did not notice it ourselves. I highly recommend it.
The most magnificent caves I've ever visited!!! By volume, they are among the ten largest caves in Europe... The guide's story is interesting! Very impressive musical accompaniment!
We never got there, we arrived at 13.00, it turned out that the nearest tickets were for 19.00, everything was sold out by tourist groups, parking is paid, there are no places for free, and there is really no place to leave the car.
The caves were very impressive. In reality, they exceeded expectations. I strongly advise you to visit. It is advisable to find out in advance the schedule for entering tourists into the cave, then you will not have to wait much.
It was unforgettable. Like the kingdom of the underground king. The music that was played in some halls made the tour even more atmospheric. And the text itself, pronounced by the guide, seems to be written under carbon paper for different caves: there are too many similar formulations and comparisons.
Some of the largest caves, there is even a "metro"))
Were in the caves of Turkey and Greece, there is something to compare)))
The New Athos caves represent a long route of several caves. During the tour, they tell about each story. There is time for taking pictures.
It's worth a visit) But it's better to take something with you, if you go in the warmer months, it's usually cooler in caves.
I visited the cave several times. I was shocked!!! Especially the subway. Is that necessary? In my opinion, it would be nice to highlight the halls in different colors and let classical or Abkhazian folk music play as a background! It is especially important to have warm clothes and comfortable non-slip shoes. I highly recommend you to visit.
It is very difficult to buy tickets to the cave, especially when it rains and tourists go not to the beach, but on excursions. The guides approach the ticket office without queuing, and those who are not in the group have to stand for a very long time. At lunch we could only get tickets for 19 pm, we had to walk around for half a day and wait for the tour to start.
But the cave is simply amazing! Huge halls, lakes, stalactites, natural sculptures, everything looks fantastic! A special flavor is given by the subway, which takes tourists to the cave.
There are very long queues to enter and buy tickets, this is a real test at the hut... And the toilet is generally tin, there are no kinders in it and the humidity seems to be 90%.I went in to pee and came out of the shower. The ticket is not very cheap, well, it is not impossible to make the arrival of guests more comfortable.
No, I didn't want to go there! At lunch, you could only buy a ticket for eight in the evening ((((, you can't eat, you can't drink, it looks like it's going to get cold after a while, jackets for rent))). And the food at the stops is probably worth its weight in gold. Mini metro. The longing of a miner.
The cave is beautiful! That's it! Huge queues at the ticket office , lack of Parking, unsanitary conditions around. 4 stars for the contribution of the Soviet Union to this place!
