This is the best cave we've been to. And we were in many different caves. Great tour. I especially liked the bridge over the underground lake. The size and understanding that there are 200 m of mountains above you are impressive.
It is worth visiting to see. But we will be ready to stand in line, we were lucky the hostess of our hotel made a reservation for us, we arrived and immediately went in. I recommend you to visit
I really liked it! The scale of the caves inside is amazing. The whole tour is accompanied by a guide, telling the story of these caves in a very interesting way. Transitions from hall to hall are accompanied by pleasant music. We visited the caves in July, there were no queues for tickets. At 12:00 we bought a ticket and at 12:10 we already went on a tour. There is Parking for cars (200 rubles)
The place that you must definitely visit is very interesting and the impressions will be for a long time.We visited for the first time in 2017, in 2024 in May we arrived with children, to show them the beauty and update our impressions 😊
It's a beautiful place. They took the tickets themselves at the box office, but they sell them in time for the next session if there are seats left because the first ones are bought out in bundles by tour operators. You will have to stand in line at the checkout.
The caves were very impressive. In reality, they exceeded expectations. I strongly advise you to visit. It is advisable to find out in advance the schedule for entering tourists into the cave, then you will not have to wait much.
We visited 3 times, the cave is beautiful, Bach's music sounds fascinating in the acoustics of the cave.
If you are going to the cave, on your own, without an excursion, then first of all go for a ticket at a convenient time, since most tickets are sold out for excursions and it may turn out that the tickets will remain for the wrong time that you want. The last visit upset the tired grandfather of the guide, but at least once this place is worth a visit. Take warm clothes with you in a cave of only 12-15 degrees.
I've never been to such a big one. It's worth going. The subway goes up and down, and then along the bridges with a guide. It's beautiful and interesting.
If you have never been to caves before, then when visiting the Novo-Athos cave you will get great emotions, an atmospheric place with a history, guides tell interesting facts about the discovery of this cave and its inhabitants)
The place surprises with its scale, amazing beauty of the place. Very professional guides

It's not as cold as they say. Indeed, the tour is more for adults than for children. They will want to handle it, but they can't, it's deep down and damp in places.
The tour starts with the purchase of tickets for 700 rubles, but we were walking with a guide, so we stood in line a little faster. Next, the car, or rather several of them (the tour accommodates 50 people) takes you deep into the mountain. At the time of the visit, 6 of the 8 halls were open to the public.
Far away, for a long time, a warmer child or a blanket, which is easiest. Dripping from the ceiling in places, a headdress. The guide explains everything clearly. An audio installation accompanied us all the way.
Everything that is there cannot be expressed in words, photos will not convey the whole atmosphere, and much will simply be incomprehensible.
It's gorgeous!
A work of art!
Everyone needs to go there!
For once in my life!
Very very interesting and exciting!
It is very comfortable to walk, the whole route is in tracks, the guide speaks into the microphone, so it is clearly audible.
Admission 700 rubles
Plaid 100 rubles
Parking at the entrance of the cave is tent
Free parking is available at the bottom of the shops
The fine for CTP insurance is 600 rubles
The cost of CTP for 15 days is 1000 rubles
In general, it's not bad, but there is no desire to go a second time. Yes, it is beautiful and unusual. If there was an opportunity to run quickly and get out, then I would have done so.
Good day.I recently visited this cave. I am very impressed. Scale.inner beauty and greatness. Most of all , I was impressed by the chamber hall and the sound of the organ in it .it is not possible to convey. Photos are obtained anyway, not that live. In general, I recommend to visit..
A great place to visit.Interesting.It is possible with children.I recommend taking warm clothes and comfortable shoes with you, it's cold in the cave. There is a lake in the cave. They are allowed in groups. There are a lot of people in the summer.
An interesting place, the cave is large, consisting of several "halls", with mysterious underground lakes. It is convenient to walk, everything is illuminated everywhere, you can see the entrance to the underworld). But there are a lot of tourists, queues everywhere
What I saw far exceeded my expectations, photos and videos, not as they cannot convey what you see firsthand, one of the unique places worth visiting Abkhazia for.
An incredible place, a huge cave, the tour guide tells an interesting story. Take a windbreaker or a blanket with you, it's cool there. Tickets are bought in advance in summer, because you can only get to the cave by train - and there are limited places in it
I walked the whole route on one leg. There are many places, but there are pirila. So the task for the disabled is half feasible.
The cave causes genuine awe of the greatness of nature! I recommend it to everyone. Artistic lighting and music playing under huge vaults add a special atmosphere.
But when it all goes out automatically a few minutes after the group passes, it gets creepy.
At the end there is a very long and slippery technical descent and a terrible cafe at the exit. Otherwise, excellent!
Impressed ! Despite the long queue when buying tickets (we were in season), it was worth it. Wear comfortable, non-slippery shoes and take a sweatshirt/sweatshirt with you.
It's an amazing place. I did not expect that such organized tourist places have been preserved in Abkhazia. There are even underground trains running. The cave itself is unique. Vaults, lakes, stalactites, safe paths are laid everywhere, lighting and musical and sound accompaniment
A great attraction, the only thing you need to stand in line to buy tickets, it's better to come early in the morning and take a queue, but everything is fine
To be honest, I was not impressed, it is very dark in the caves, there is little illumination. You can visit it once for show. Before entering the platform, there is a booth where they sell permission for photo and video shooting of 50 rubles, in fact just collecting money, no one checks this permission, in a crowd of 200 people and even in the dark you can take pictures, only there is not much to photograph
Very cool!
It feels like I've been to another planet!
Abkhazia did a great job that despite all the terrible years of the war they managed to keep this really a miracle of the Soviet era in working condition!
the guides are professional and the entire visit lasts exactly as long as necessary!
children are also interested))
I have never gone underground before, except for the subway. Here in the New Athos caves I felt some kind of magic, some other world, the world of other planets.
The most beautiful cave. It was the second time. I am no less delighted. The guides tell the memorized text. But this does not greatly spoil the impression of the cave itself.
This place just needs to be visited! It is impossible to describe it. We have been to Abkhazia twice, both times we stopped by. The cave cannot disappoint! Incredible scale!
The queue at the checkout is not separated, because of this, cunning people are always wedged out of line. While waiting at the entrance to the train, it is unrealistically hot. The caves themselves are beautiful, the guide is excellent. We were satisfied with the caves
Probably one of the few places in Abkhazia that you definitely need to visit. You are unlikely to see this anywhere else. the huge caves in the depths of the Caucasus Mountains really amaze, surprise, and delight all lovers of beauty.
Photos are unlikely to be able to convey the scale. I recommend everyone to visit. You won't regret it.
P. S. The queue for the ticket will be serious, but it's worth
it P. S. S. Dress warmly or take clothes with you. The temperature in the cave is +14
