An amazing place. A very interesting tour. In the cave itself is incredible, fabulous. But it's cool. It is better to take warm clothes and comfortable shoes. It's a long walk. There is no queue for tickets. Children are very interested. Parking is convenient. There are cafes with affordable prices
Of course, it is interesting to walk around the cave, but 700 rubles for admission, even for children, is too much. There is a paid parking nearby for 200 rubles. In fact, you can park in any part of New Athos for free, everything is within walking distance. since the train to the cave runs at a certain interval, and tickets are sold for a specific time, you will have to wait. We waited 2 hours. The tour inside is for nothing, there is more information on the cave's website.
Be prepared to walk a lot) Cool cave. Slippery, choose comfortable and non-slip shoes. The guide is a bit tedious, the speech is memorized, but in general it is very interesting.
An exciting excursion that began already while on the train leading to the cave.
There are a lot of people, but there is enough space for everyone.
The caves themselves are great, but you need to dress warmer, I'm a little cold because at first you sweat a lot in the waiting room, and when you enter the caves you're all wet and it's easy to get sick.
Seeing amazing, they amaze with their power and at the same time with a feeling of incredible peace.
Monumental natural structures! The colossal volumes and the power of nature are breathtaking. Well organized, comfortable bridges stairs lighting! A good tour, I recommend it!
The impressions are wonderful
If you go in the morning, there are not many queues!
It's worth a look, it's cool inside, but it doesn't matter.
Minus one - a very stuffy train that takes you to the cave, there is nothing to breathe there at all.
A wonderful place, I highly recommend visiting, the beauty is fabulous! It's a pretty long walk, but it's not as cool as everyone talks about it - almost everyone in our group wore T-shirts like that. Those who are cool were given something light, but few people. There is a constant temperature of +14, but there is no wind, not even a whiff, but there is humidity. And the views are amazing!
A beautiful cave and an interesting tour, the guide tells and leads a tour of six caves. It's cool in the cave, you need to wear a jacket. The cost is 700 rubles
The scale is impressive! I haven't been to any other caves. I liked everything about this one and the scale and staloctites, stalognites, stalognates. First they take you to the subway, then they walk through the halls with a guide. The guide can be heard well, there is a backlight. Nature, of course, surprises how such beauty was formed inside the mountain. It is definitely necessary to visit.
The cave is very cool.
First you go by train, then you get into a cave in the interior of the lake, beautiful and the views in the cave are fascinating , from the cons 1.5 hours and everything ends very little, you do not have time to enjoy the cave , people are transported by a conveyor belt just to show and quickly back, 700r per person is not a little charge
This is the place that will really surprise you. We really liked it. With my claustrophobia, I was getting high from the huge open space. The queue at the checkout seems to be large, but the wait is no more than half an hour.
An interesting place. You are taken to the cave by a small train resembling a subway, which is very unusual. Among the disadvantages, there is a long queue for tickets, low organization of access control, large tour groups are allowed to pass out of turn. A very large number of people are launched at a time, about 100-150, which causes inconvenience and crowding inside the cave. In general, the caves are equipped very well, there are several observation decks, and the pedestrian bridge is fascinating with its height and length. In the cave, you can buy pieces of stalagmites, though at an exorbitant price. The guide gets five points for diction and the ability to convey the history of the cave. The tour itself lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, it is not very cold in the cave, about 14 degrees, but I recommend warming up. The jacket can be rented both at the entrance and at the nearby market, the price is 100 rubles.
Not impressed! A cave is like a cave. A boorish granny is sitting at the ticket check. She snorted at every other person. For them, this is the norm of such communication. To take photos in the cave itself on your phone, you need to take an additional ticket for 50 rubles, the availability of which no one checks. As a result, someone took, and someone did not take this ticket, and everyone was shooting without exception.
The impressions were indescribable, at least once, but it's worth a visit, the rich history and views are amazing. I did not regret that I visited, get ready that it will be cool.
Very, Very cool! But keep in mind, there are long queues in the season, parking problems. It's better to come to the opening. But it's very cool.

If you tell all the tricks of this place in advance, then visitors will not be interested. But impressions are guaranteed! The grottoes amaze with their grandeur and surprises. A miracle of nature, no other way. All the passages are equipped, everything is civilized. It is cool in the cave, but not as much as in Kungurskaya. It is enough to put on a jacket, a windbreaker. The guide had excellent diction and knowledge. The ticket offices, the toilet and the entrance to the cave are all in one building. The building is well renovated and interesting. There were no problems with buying tickets in October. Delight overrides some of the disadvantages. The toilet (paid) is a little short of civilization, but clean. Several seats are broken in the carriages. There are a couple of dangerous places with a big slope on the tracks, you need to be extremely careful, especially for older people. The cafe in the building is better to pass by, read the reviews. One of the wishes is to add some colored lighting, arrange musical accompaniment in all the caves and add fun with immersion in complete darkness (10-20 seconds). The place is a must-visit!
The place is just great. I strongly advise you to visit. Take a windbreaker with you, it's cool, 14 degrees. I highly recommend it to those who are in Abkhazia. The road is not difficult, but fascinating.
This is something incredible, this cave is the second largest in the world, as for me it is the most important sights of Abkhazia the entrance costs 700 rubles. the scale is so huge that you go down to the cave by train, you cannot convey any photos, no videos, you need to see it with your eyes, I highly recommend visiting.
Amazing impressions from visiting the cave. There are 6 halls, a group of 80 people, a tour guide, many interesting moments. It's probably cool there in summer, comfortable in winter.
The cost is only 700 rubles with an escort.
The cave itself makes a very strong impression. I want to stop, stay in silence and enjoy the views and sensations. The impression was spoiled by the fact that tickets are given for sessions, you have to wait to recruit people. But the carriages of the train and the station lifted the mood. We got to the right stop very quickly, from where the tour starts. Check the schedule before placing the cave. It was the first time we came in vain, but we took a walk up the trail, among the houses and seals. And in general, memory recorded the tour as worthy. And yes, it doesn't hurt to put on warm sweaters or jackets).
The cave is beautiful. If you want to buy calcite, then do not buy it in the cave itself. A meager selection of scanty pebbles for cosmic sums. At the exit on the left there will be a souvenir shop, where there is a huge selection of calcite at a good price. Don't make my mistakes)
An interesting place, the scale is amazing, but there is one thing, the light sometimes turns off and it is not quite comfortable to be in complete darkness in the cave
It's cool, but since there are pictures on the Internet, it's better not to buy a coupon for 50 rubles, and so in the summer it's stuffy to stand in the window, fans do not save then when they let cold into the cave immediately
Interesting for the first time! Not expensive. Be sure to go. Just don't buy stones in the cave) if you really want to, then it's cheaper at the exit.)
The cave is just very beautiful and big, a great tour. It is very cool to dress warmly or take a plaid at the entrance, but it is paid. You don't have to pay for the photo shoot, no one asked us for a paid ticket. The impression is very spoiled by comrades navyashevo offering paid parking with threats that you will be rented rooms. Only cars with Abkhazian license plates can park anywhere.
It is better to visit once than to read and listen to the stories of others. An atmospheric place! Reboots powerfully! It is better to go in the late afternoon, there are fewer people.
We visited the New Athos Cave in the summer. If you arrive in the morning half an hour before the opening, you quickly buy tickets and go through; you do not have to stand in a huge queue in the heat. Impressions: interesting, beautiful, unusual. My wife especially liked the tour. I don't understand why....))
I really liked it. It is amazing in its size. It's amazing that water can act as such a builder. Of various shapes and colors: stalactites, stolognites, stolognates. You need to see it with your own eyes.
We were in August 2024. Admission is 700 rubles/hour, children under 7 years old are free. The toilet is 10p, the photo in the cave is 50p (you can not pay, no one checks).
The cave itself did not cause much excitement, but it is different for everyone. For general development, you can visit.
The cave itself is super, the whole impression is spoiled by the locals. We arrived at 14 o'clock on our own, there are no more tickets, as a result, local parking attendants offered to buy tickets for 2 prices. Conclusion: it is cheaper to go on an excursion where tickets are already reserved.
it is fascinating from the first minutes of being in the cave!!!
I advise everyone, it was this excursion that brightened up my entire trip to Abkhazia)
An interesting tour, an excellent guide. It's cool in the cave and if you didn't bring warm clothes with you, then you can take a blanket for 100 rubles.
The cost is 700 rubles, they sell tickets for the shooting at the entrance (50 rubles), I did not take it, but they made a couple of shots inside, no one checks, there are tickets for the shooting. It's cool in the cave, you can rent a plaid there. Paid 100
Parking is paid 250 rubles.
It was very interesting on a tour in the cave, a mini subway car is taking you to the cave, and the cave itself is very large. One minus is a lot of people
An impressive cave, it's huge. Very cool music and light. A wonderful excursion, worth visiting for sure. A lot of people, even in October, did not get there immediately, but during this time they climbed the Anakopian fortress.
Oh, it's a miracle! I advise everyone to visit the New Athos caves! An impressive sight, huge underground spaces, stalactites, stalagmites, underground reservoirs, and also its own small subway!
An interesting place in itself, queues for 2 hours for tickets, then 2 hours waiting for entry)) But it's worth it! We were lucky, 30 group tickets were available, so we passed the waiting queue for boarding)
The caves and the tour are excellent. Organization of ticket sales for minus 10. Make a website with pre-booking and payment and install terminals for printing tickets or a qr code reader. The problem will go away.
An atmospheric place , as if you are in a dungeon , where there may be troglodytes , goblins and other such vile creatures, but fortunately they are not there . 1.5 hour guided tour , they tell interesting things , in general it 's not bad, I wonder if I 've already been 2 times , maybe someday I 'll visit again for the company of someone )
For more than 2 million years, the New Athos Cave has kept the secret of turning an ordinary drop of water and invisible crystals into luxurious and inimitable creations of nature. And today we have a unique opportunity to contemplate all this beauty, getting indelible impressions from it.
I advise you to visit this amazing place and enjoy the beauty and grandeur of this cave creation.
I really liked the cave, we were with children 10 and 7 years old. It's very beautiful, there are lights everywhere, national music is playing, the paths are slippery in places, wear comfortable shoes. Be sure to take a sweater. There were no queues, the ticket cost 600 rubles. It is necessary to travel a little underground by train to the cave itself. I advise you to go. We arrived on the tour on our own from Gagra, we reached it ourselves, everything is clear and not far away.
An impressive place. Perhaps one of the most unique in Abkhazia. The legacy of the USSR. However, since the time of the Soviet Union, for 36 years (I was here in 1987), it has remained almost unchanged, if only trade in pieces of stalactites-stalagnites-stalagnates was added inside the cave, and the sinter formations in the cave have decreased in many places, apparently due to this commerce. The great heritage of a great country.
Everything is great in the cave. But waiting for the tour is agony. And even when it coincides with a blackout. There is always a queue at the entrance to the cave. The room is stuffy, there are no air conditioners, you can lose consciousness from the heat.
