We are currently resting at this hotel. Of course, the hotel is not bad, but it is clearly not a foursome. There are no questions about food and cleanliness.
But the room stock is already old enough. The bathroom has bad plumbing (old), rust is falling, furniture, especially on the balcony is old, garbage is constantly pouring out of it. Mattresses and pillows are very uncomfortable, especially for people with a bad back. By the way, clothes dryers are not provided on the balcony, so who cares what, they were dried mainly on rods, which are intended as protection from birds. We live on the 2nd floor. Perhaps the rooms above have already been renovated.
Well, here's another bonus, for the second evening in a row, after 21:00 there are some classes in the pool for children, and yesterday there were competitions. And they ended only at the beginning of 12 pm. It was such a pleasure when I came to rest. Constant shouting and whistling. In general, the third three to the hotel. Of the vacationers: the elderly and families with children. There is no entertainment here. I got the feeling Egypt 4* is only very expensive😂 we definitely won't go a second time.
I want to add a few days later: the children's classes in the pool after 21h turned out to be a constant practice, the parents were at this hotel in February, it was every day. So it's better to either take a room with a view of the city, or choose another hotel

Separately, I would like to mention the beach area, since in this place we managed to see other hotels, ours is a paradise. A great idea with a free transfer to Dubai. However, you need to book in advance. The rooms facing the sea are very quiet, the street is noisy according to the neighbors. Everything outside the hotel is very so-so, there is nothing to do there. There are a couple of shops where Hindus or Pakistanis will follow you so that you don't steal mangoes.

I was in hotels with my mother and child (11) from February 17 - February 23, 2024. We had everything included and it was very convenient. The food is good, there is me for the children. They are on the first line . Umbrellas, sun beds. Towel, bathrobes, slippers.... everything is there. Clear. The staff is helpful and attentive. There are many of our compatriots. The atmosphere is calm.

The rooms are no frills, but everything you need is there. We took only breakfast, they are not very. In general, the restaurant is a three-star. For lunch or dinner, they ask for 100 dirhams per adult. It is better to take food from the menu, in the hotel rest La bamba, and it is tastier and you don't have to run and stand in line for food. Near the aquarium and marina, Dubai Mall can be reached in an hour, if by boat and metro, then 15+6 dirhams per person. To public places in Sharjah by taxi 20 dirhams. We have been vacationing with our granddaughter since the beginning of June at the Occidental Hotel. I remember with delight! Great place, friendly staff. Super! In the restaurant, the entire staff greets guests with a smile. A year ago I was vacationing here with my husband. We took a room with a sea view. The balcony is huge, the view is wonderful, although the city high-rises are not bad if the room looks at the road. The sea is without waves, at the end of September the water is warm, the bottom is clean, sand, the depth is not immediately. The rooms are not new, but everything you need is there. The food is good, all drinks are paid for lunch and dinner (they took FB). There are delicious smoothies at the beach bar. The territory is small, but there is a lot of greenery. Near the aquarium, supermarket, near Sharjah, 20 minutes from the airport and, if there are no traffic jams, you can get to Dubai in 20-30 minutes. There is a free shuttle service from the hotel to Dubai Mall.

One of the best, if not the best hotel on the first coastline in Sharjah.
If you do not speak English very well, then there is a Russian-speaking girl at the reception who will help you check in. Looking ahead, I will say that the hotel has a lot of things done for Russian-speaking tourists. Starting from signposts, ending with Leps tracks by the pool😁
When booking a hotel, take a room with a sea view, you will not regret it. Since the balconies are quite large, it is a pleasure to meet the sunrise and sunset. The rooms themselves are normal, some after renovation, some slightly older in age.
The food in the restaurant is very good. Drinks are standard, only for breakfast, lunch and dinner are purchased separately. But again, those who miss home have a favorite buckwheat😁
Activities by the pool and dancing by the sea every day + slide into the large pool. There is a Jacuzzi and a pool for kids of 0.75m. You can rent a scooter and ride the waves for a couple of minutes. A separate room for children and a slide on the street, like a mini kindergarten.
A good choice of hotel if you want to spend time near the sea, do not spend money on a taxi to get to the sea. Nearby, within walking distance, the aquarium, of course, is inferior in scale in Dubai, but you can calmly see all the marine inhabitants from sharks to stingrays without unreal pandemonium. And if you decide to take a taxi to Dubai, get ready to spend about 75-100 dirhams one way. But it all depends on the traffic flow and traffic jams.

I have a very very mixed impression of the hotel. May 2024.
The hotel is an ordinary 4-star, without frills and pretensions. I knew where I was going. I was there for 3 days, I took breakfast. For breakfast - omelets, ordinary fruits, not exotic, sausages, beef meat, yoghurts, some kind of pastries are not wow, everything is without complaints. But you won't stay hungry, I was OK. The staff at the restaurant is friendly and clears the plates quickly.
There are nice people at the reception, there is a Russian-speaking girl. The man at the check-in upgraded my room category to cabana, for free, it is immediately with access to the pool and the sea. Thanks a lot to him for that! The room completely satisfied me. Quiet, you fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The friendly man at the towel counter, thanks to him for his work.
There are questions for the beach staff. We recruited people who clearly don't like their work and the hotel guests. The guy in charge of security at Kaif beach does not approach people normally to explain that it is impossible to go into the water because of the waves, but whistles hysterically with a whistle from afar. Moreover, even when people are standing ankle-deep and the waves even at the same time reach up to the knee. No one rushed to swim in front of me, that is, he whistles preemptively. And from the brazen smile, it is clear that this is how he feels the power, that he is chasing people who paid for this vacation. Moreover, she is afraid to drive men, and they can knock on the head, whistling mainly at women, the elderly and children. I was standing by the shore, he whistled at me and ran up, but nothing to a healthy man who was standing 5 meters further into the depth. Because of him, I think a lot of people won't want to return to this hotel. People were very indignant about him on the beach, which he got and was rude. Even if you don't swim, listening to the whistle all day like at a football match, like this Kaif chasing people, is not much fun. People came to rest in silence.
Also, in the morning you will not find beach workers who will help with an umbrella, despite the fact that the umbrella is fixed with pins that only they have. One day I was looking for at least 15 minutes for someone.
By the way, the hotel is being renovated, but on the 2nd floor drilling was heard only during the day from somewhere above. Since I was hardly in the room during the day, it didn't bother me at all. But perhaps in other parts of the hotel you can hear the repair work more strongly and it may be noisy there (check with the hotel).
Another good thing: the compliment of 4 macaroons on a plate was brought to the room in the evening. It's a small thing, but it was nice.
Water with lemon is in the lobby at the reception.
The beach towels are clean and new, with a logo. The sun beds are comfortable.
The contingent consists of families with children and the elderly. There are no young people at all. The beach is nice, but open, without a bay, we must be prepared for the fact that there may be wind and you are not buying.
There is no territory at all to walk around.

The pool is clean, deep (2.85) and there is a Jacuzzi with hot water. There is a children's shallow pool. The food is good, of course there are not a billion different dishes like in Turkey in the top five, but you will not starve. Drinks are free at breakfast. For lunch and dinner, a bottle of 0.5 liters of water - 6 derham (150 rubles) , 1.5 liters - 9 derham (225 rubles) a glass of 0.2 ml juice - 20 derham - 500 rubles. There is a lot of water in the rooms, a full refrigerator, but in the restaurant - for a fee.
The rooms are cleaned every day. Tips were left for 3-5 derham. There is a bus to Dubai Mall every day, you just need to sign up through the hotel's app, because places are limited. If the guide advises a free trip to the shops with gold and furs - do not try, in those stores they persistently demand to buy something at inflated prices. The hotel accepts Union Pay cards from Gazprombank. The exchange rate is best in the Deira City Center (hypermarket) Wall Street exchanger on the 1st floor. Overall, the hotel is good. In general, for a holiday in the UAE, you need to take a suitcase of money, or preferably two suitcases.

I started writing a review several times, but I couldn't finish it because it turned out to be very emotional... But I really want to write to the point!
I'll probably start with the fact that the tour operator recommended the trip to us for 2 years, saying that the service, food, hotel, in general, EVERYTHING is at the highest level. That's why we were driving in anticipation of a fairy tale!
And now, in order, I will tell you about the TRUTH that we faced.
Upon arrival, we began to look for our tour operator. Our manager informed us that this is a Space travel. There was no such sign anywhere when leaving the airport. We started going from one bunch of people to another, looking for our operator. Thank God we found two young people, one had a list of arrivals, and the other handed out memos indicating the hotel to which we would be taken. And on this memo there was a completely different hotel, and not the one that we had booked. We started to figure it out...No one knows anything, everyone is playing pin-pong. After 30 minutes, something cleared up and we were still brought to our hotel! Hooray (we thought)!
We checked into the room and almost got a heart attack with my husband for two:plumbing and tiles are all covered in fungus and rust, the cabinet doors were skewed so that they stopped closing and opening for a long time, the door to the closet, where the mini-bar refrigerator was located, scraped on the floor, the side shelf fell out, when opening the refrigerator door, the light in the room is such that if you turn on all the lighting, no matter You can't see a damn thing. But the highlight of this issue was in the form of living creatures, or rather a 3 cm cockroach (unfortunately, Yandex does not allow you to post his photo)!
The room was changed after we promised to bring it to the reception. As an apology, fruit was brought to us...but they did not correct the mood and the emotions received from the 4-star hotel in any way. Although after reading the reviews about the hotel, I am very glad that it was a cockroach, not a rat!
Food. This is a meager, repetitive buffet from day to day, in which it seems that what is not finished for breakfast turns into a salad for lunch, what is not finished at lunch smoothly flows into dishes for dinner. There was only one type of seafood (in principle, for which we were traveling), cooked in different versions. The fruits have always been apples, melon, watermelon and orange. The only thank you to them is that every day there were porridges with which to feed the child!
The sea and the beach. Since we were with a child, the beach and the sea are the best thing for children. Sand, smooth and shallow approach. We were there from March 20th to the beginning of April. The sea was cold, it was not comfortable to go in, out of 13 days, there was a storm for 6 days and swimming was forbidden. The air temperature was from 25 to 30 degrees. The sun is hard here, even at this temperature, so the cream was smeared all the time!
From entertainment, there are animators for charging, there is a children's room, but there is little entertainment in it, there is billiards, but it is difficult to play, since one ball is lost, and the chalk for the cue looks like a stub...Perhaps that's all.
I really want to see these people who write such rave reviews about the hotel, the service, the food here! Are you serious about this? Is this your first trip abroad?! Your reviews are untrue and misleading. This hotel matches the weak three.

The food is worse than in Cuba. There is not even ice cream for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The children's menu is worse than the canteen. During the three days of stay, there was only beef once. All the food is in terrible sauces. The restaurant has so little space in the buffet area that even if you arrive early you are still in the crowd. Coffee from a cheap machine, and even for a fee they will make you the same. There is no need to even talk about prices - 2-4 times more expensive than in Moscow .
The sound insulation is such that you can hear what is being said behind the wall. The ceiling in the bathroom is dilapidated with mold. The pool is small.
