My favorite hotel in Gagra, on line 1, is warm and homely. Green well-groomed territory, gazebos. There is an elevator - it is convenient to go up to the upper floors with a suitcase and shopping.
A delicious cafe and a great location in the city center (on foot to the park, Gagripsh and in the other direction to the Ferris wheel - 15 minutes each). The neighborhood with the house of culture - there are performances for adults and children, it is convenient.
Parking for cars, offers for excursions (necessarily Athos and Ritsa). Infrastructure: near a pharmacy, shops, cafes, children's entertainment.
Sun beds on the beach, rooms and terraces with sea and mountain views. For the price, the quality is the ideal ratio for a 3* hotel.
The lights are periodically turned off in the city - the generator turns on in the hotel. Water heaters keep the water temperature.

Three with a minus ....
The impression of this hotel is twofold, there are pros and cons, the main plus is the proximity of the sea. The beach is medium and small pebbles, there are not many people, sun beds and umbrellas are paid. The room is sufficient for a family of 3 people (2 adults + a child of 7 years old), the ceilings are high, the view is gorgeous from the window (although not on the sea), the mountains and nature are beautiful in their own way. In principle, the room has everything you need, a refrigerator, a kettle is available, a hairdryer was given on request, bed linen and towels were cleaned and changed regularly, if you leave the keys at the reception, the air conditioner worked properly. Wi-fi in the hotel and on the beach opposite was catching well. Of the cons, they are not critical, but they spoiled the overall impression, although we are not very picky, we understood that it was 3*, but still... - torn tulle, a chipped mirror in the bathroom, water in the sink splashes in different directions because the mesh on the mixer is either torn or clogged with something, the towel holder is hanging on one nail, it's about to fall off, the bathroom door closes if you lift and press, black mold in the shower tray, the water supply hose to the toilet leaked, the mattress is old, washed out and there was not enough lighting in the evening in the form of a wall sconce or night light... About food – we only had breakfast, good porridges, hearty, fried eggs, tea or coffee drinks 3 in 1, a couple of times we were given non-edible pancakes with cottage cheese and sausage. Breakfast at the hotel is convenient, especially since they turned out to be quite hearty, and I had a snack at the sea before lunch. The location of the hotel is closer to new Gagra, to the Ferris wheel and the embankment it takes 10-20 minutes to walk at a calm pace, old Gagra and its main attractions are 5 km from this hotel, there is public transport and taxis, walking is also real.

We had a rest this year at the Ruslan hotel. The hotel itself is not bad , clean, tasty food , the administrator Elona is very pleasant , worries about everyone as for herself , thanks to her 4-star review. What can not be said about the second administrator, who only with her expression can spoil the whole mood for the whole day, and if she also opens her mouth, then the mood is spoiled for the whole rest..... The hotel is simply the best! We stayed there several times, friends and relatives went on my recommendation, everyone was delighted! The price, the quality of service, the location, the stunning view (from both sides, I don't even know which one is cooler) the music is audible, but it perfectly complements the relaxation atmosphere and creates a mood. The food is amazingly delicious, both in the dining room and in the restaurant. You have set a high bar for your competitors, they cannot reach you! Nice hotel by the sea, friendly staff. I especially liked Ilona, the receptionist, who is always ready to help. I liked that the breakfasts on the wonderful veranda overlooking the sea, but the breakfasts themselves are so-so, meager and rather monotonous.

Of course it's not three stars, but the proximity of the sea forgives everything. We stayed in a side room with a sea view. The room is spacious. The bed is double. The mattress needs to be replaced. The room has a TV, refrigerator, kettle, hairdryer, air conditioning. The towels are large and one is for the feet. There is a half-working Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Hot and cold water. The lights were never turned off. Uncomplicated breakfasts, who does not like it, there is a great cafe across the street,, A boat,,. The staff is responsive, polite. Before I went, I read a lot of reviews, I was worried. But I would like to say, dear vacationers, the attitude towards you depends on yourself. Don't expect manna from a 3-star hotel. In general, we liked it. And yes, the place is convenient, near a cafe, a cultural center, a transport stop, a taxi and not noisy.

I would give 3 stars, as it stands in the description. But! the renovation in the rooms was done so badly, the walls were light green and pink-beige. It was possible to glue everything so as not to smear on the platbands and all protruding objects.
The furniture was broken (the table was held only by the closet), the curtains were torn, the air conditioner was not working at full capacity and the blinds were not rotating. The bathroom is a tile laid simply armless . Euro-bl-repair.
And what they write like service and polite and attentive staff - there is no such thing here. Moreover, the cheapskates could not arrange a bottle of champagne for their wife's doctor. The location also saved the view from the window, which was important for the wife. If they also broke it off, it would be a disaster...

Loud music only happens when there is a concert in the House of Culture. With the door to the balcony closed, it does not bother at all. The air conditioning in the room works perfectly. The view is beautiful of the mountains and the sea. The beach is clean if tourists don't litter. Someone complained about the breakwater. Yes, there is, near the shore. You can see him, the hotel has a warning. The breakwater is not a problem, you can easily swim across it or swing on the waves between the shore and the breakwater. The staff is polite and pleasant. A nice and affordable hotel. The staff is polite and friendly, we liked everything. We were at the end of May, we were fed only breakfast. Regular breakfasts, porridges + something else. Tea, coffee (3in1). In general, it's not a buffet, but these are small things. Sea views - bonba, hotel location - 0 line)) right on the beach.
There are shops, cafes, and some street food around)
The hotel has a shuttle service, please keep in mind who is traveling from Adler. 700 rubles . Per person. Taxi drivers at the airport charge from 4000 rubles per car.
Yandex taxi only takes you to the border, although it will calculate the cost to the hotel. Keep in mind.

We stayed at this hotel from 06/26.23- 07/10.23. The hotel is very well located near the sea, the staff is friendly, the rooms and the hotel itself are clean. When the lights were turned off in Gagra, the generator was turned on.
Of the cons: there are sun beds and umbrellas on the beach for a fee, for the entire period of stay we were given one piece of soap and 3 bags of shampoo, there was no shower gel at all. The breakfasts are very modest: porridge + a small portion of the second, tea or coffee 3 in 1, bread.

The hotel is located on the very shore. We lived on the 3rd floor with a sea view. The room is large, clean enough, the hotel has a restaurant, reasonable prices, delicious. There was breakfast at the hotel. Regular, portioned, porridge, omelette, tea/coffee, bread. The Internet worked everywhere. Sun beds and umbrellas are available on the beach for a fee. But you can safely lie on a towel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ruslan Hotel. The hotel is located on the first line, 50 meters from the sea.
The standard room was small, but it had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The room was bright, cozy, clean, and air-conditioned. It was nice to come back here after the beach/walk. The room had a wide window and a balcony. Beautiful view of the mountains.
There is a fountain and a cafe in the courtyard. Breakfast is served on the veranda overlooking the sea.
For the duration of our stay, we were given a hairdryer and a kettle, as well as cutlery and dishes. The iron was on the floor. All the staff is friendly and helpful, special thanks to Ilona and Elana. We recommend this hotel for a vacation stay!

We had a rest in August of the 23rd year. The hotel is located right by the sea, this is a huge plus, especially if the room overlooks the sea. The food is like in a Soviet sanatorium. Probably everyone has heard and read about intestinal infection in Gagra. We were also aware, but we hoped that we would get through. So we all got carried away.🤦
And it seems to be all the residents of the hotel. And it's not about nutrition at all, it's just that the sea really smelled of feces sometimes. We read that someone writes "just don't drink water from the sea." So no one drinks it, and in general they didn't swim very much, but it didn't save anyone from an intestinal infection.
Fortunately, there is a pharmacy right next to it, the prices are reasonable and there is a queue of the same sufferers all the time. But there is everything on sale to save us. And so everything is fine, as we got into the past. Cockroaches in canteens (not in the hotel), queues and fighting for a table, just deja vu. We went once, thanks to everyone, but not a foot more. Excursions are a separate topic, the divorce is continuous. Get ready that if the tour is scheduled for five hours, then four is the road and arrivals for the sale of honey, wine, cheese. The undoubted advantage of the hotel is its location on the first line. Fairly recent renovation, spacious rooms with panoramic Windows, good mattresses on the beds, but... As usual in Abkhazia, if something breaks or falls off, no one fixes it. The hotel claims to have a three-star status, but the administration is absolutely sure that cosmetics (soap, shampoos, shower gels) are put only once, upon check-in, so everything had to be bought, including beach towels. They are not issued in principle. It is very strange that the hotel, located almost on the beach, did not equip this very beach. Sun beds and umbrellas were provided by some left-handed person, at 150 and 100 rubles per day. However, his wife worked at the hotel, perhaps this is such a small family business ...
it is worth mentioning separately about the included three meals a day. If possible, refuse, otherwise throw money away, and the prices at the hotel are unreasonably high. The rooms are cleaned every three days, everything is clear. Change of towels too. The only huge disadvantage of this hotel is its kitchen. More precisely, the food that is included in the ticket price. You guys are stuck in the Stone Age. No one feeds people like that anymore. The hotel is not bad. It is located on the very shore. We lived in a 2 km suite with a sea view.
The hotel is clean, there is an elevator.
The beach is not crowded, but there are stone slabs with iron pins in the sea, all floating along the shore.
There is a Blue Lagoon cafe on the beach, where music rumbles all day until 1 a.m.So it is impossible to relax in the room after lunch, and to fall asleep at night too.
The food at the hotel is very poor and tasteless. In the morning porridge, at lunch vegetable soup and the second of 100 g of side dish and 50 g of meat, dinner mashed potatoes on water and sausage.
You can eat if you are very hungry and have no choice. But if you think that you are going to a hotel with meals, then you are mistaken.
There is a Ruslan restaurant in the courtyard, opposite there is a dining boat where you can eat something.
The staff at the reception and in the cafe are not very friendly.
Rotavirus is raging all around.We didn't eat in cafes and restaurants, but managed to pick up and get sick with the whole family.The younger 4g was dug up in the hospital.
We didn't get on any excursions, because everyone got sick.
Would I recommend going to this hotel? Definitely not.There is no good beach, no food, nowhere to walk and not a friendly attitude.

Pros: the location is good, close to the sea, there are pharmacies and shops nearby. The hotel itself looks clean, lived in a suite, nice (but then problems started). Friendly staff, always help in any way they can, nice young girls, both administrators and cleaning. Sea view rooms with a beautiful view. That's all.
Cons: disgusting food, cold, the cheapest overcooked pasta, sticky mashed potatoes, chewed cutlets with rice, soups without a single piece of meat. Eat outside, you are accompanied by stray dogs, dirty, flea-ridden and skinned. I do not want to come to eat, I do not have an appetite (photo below).
There are breakwaters in the sea, what they are and where they are not said. I went up to my chest and immediately they, sticking out rusty sticks at the bottom of the sea, did not swim normally, nothing. The descent to the sea is disgusting, the iron steps with big holes, it's hard for children and elderly people to get down and up there! Even the young have to hold on to the handrail and descend slowly (photo below). Next are the stripped pallets in which we turned our legs out more than once (photo below).
In the SUITE, ants crawled over me all night, just ran in a crowd from under the sofa and I constantly woke up in this "pleasure". The bathroom stank unbearably of sewage. There were occasional problems with water and light, but they were solved quickly. We cleaned the room 1 time during the whole time, we took the vacuum cleaner ourselves in the hallway and went to do what the staff had to do.
We never slept during the whole vacation, because there is an incomprehensible institution on the beach under the windows, where no one is ever there, but the music is POUNDING so that the windows shake. Playing all this fun from 9 am to 01:00 at NIGHT! There are two stoned guys sitting there who are "high."
Further, on the other side of the cafe, there is also music screaming, but it seems quieter. We went there on the second day to eat, as it is impossible to eat in the dining room. ROTAVIRUS IS PROVIDED FOR THE REST OF THE VACATION! For 5 days we lay with fever, vomiting and diarrhea. But these are still flowers.
We were hospitalized for two days, ivs at our own expense, medicines, injections, total: 14 thousand for your rotavirus in Gagra.
The child's temperature rose to 40 and gastric bleeding began! I'm silent about their local hospital, a quiet horror, but that's another thing…
Now we are at home and we are still coping with the consequences of that meal at the Ruslan cafe, it has been a whole week, but we are not getting better. We also refer to the virus in the sea. Clearly not what we expected from a vacation. We will not return to Abkhazia anymore, it is completely unsanitary, every second person has rotavirus!

I've never eaten such crackers in my life, I can't chew a drop of juice, a knife doesn't cut. I really like cooking kebabs myself, I've seen a lot, but here I was surprised, HORROR. To which the waiter replied, I'm SORRY. There are no words, honestly. The most normal waiter in this place is Ksyusha, she's just great. And so on the opposite side is a dining boat, awesome, and very cheap, and insanely delicious, people are pouring in in droves. And it works from 8:00 in the morning, there are pancakes, and scrambled eggs, and you will find a lot of delicious things. In general, if you let go of the food in the hotel, which is so disgusting, and pass the cafe that is in front of the hotel, everything is fine. But if you come across a room not on the sea, which happened to us, you can't get enough sleep, the music screams until 12 at night, and the fountains make a lot of noise. Excellent hotel on the 1st line.

For 11 years we have been traveling with family and friends to Gagra and to this hotel.
The rooms are clean, with all the amenities in the room, the hotel has been renovated for 2 years. A nice summer cafe, there is a restaurant with home cooking. The hostess of the hotel Zoya Iradionovna is hospitable and participates in all the processes herself, also in the kitchen.
The girls at the reception, Hannah and Ilona, are always ready to help with all questions.
Wi-Fi is free of charge and with good speed.
Therefore, we definitely recommend this hotel. And we will go again in 2022. ☀️🙂

There was no hair dryer in the room, we lived in 303 with a view of the garden and cafe, there was no noise, but this is not the season. The room has a refrigerator and a refrigerator, in general, everything is cozy and cozy. The cafe at the hotel, which is Ruslan, is delicious and cheap.
