We were at this hotel in August 21. I really liked it. The hotel is new, clean, the staff is helpful and friendly. There is a cafe on site, where the staff is also excellent and they will not leave you hungry. The sea is a five-minute leisurely walk away. We had a wonderful rest and at the same time quite a budget.

I was with a colleague at work. At the beginning of June 23rd. I am satisfied with the hotel "for all the money". Decent and fresh to repair. There is an elevator.
The only thing is the screaming frogs outside the window at night, and sometimes drifting cars, but for that the view towards the sea.
There is a restaurant at the hotel, it is quite edible.

Wifi catches well.
There is a private parking at the hotel, but there are 5-6 cars.

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms. Everything is at the highest level for its cost.
For the first time this year we were in Abkhazia in July, we searched and booked a hotel on our own.
One of the important criteria for me was living near the sea. We found this hotel, booked a room, arrived on the appointed day. At the reception, guests are greeted by polite and friendly staff. We registered, they told us everything, showed us. There is a free guarded guest parking on site, which is very convenient if you are traveling by car. The Samson Hotel itself is small, but it is so clean and tidy, such cozy and comfortable rooms, you can choose a room with a balcony that your vacation becomes unforgettable. An excellent cafe at the hotel, where they cook very tasty.
We were satisfied with our stay at this hotel!

A wonderful hotel with wonderful rooms and a wonderful elevator, it's a pity that they are only for two guests... And it's a pity that the view from the window is dull, but everything is fine!
The hotel is new, perfectly located relative to the beach, but it takes about half an hour to walk along the embankment to the center. The room has snow-white bed linen, an air conditioner that works perfectly (except at night when the electricity is turned off). The minus is the water heater, it is very difficult to adjust the temperature of the water, then hot, then cold pours. And an even bigger disadvantage is cleaning. In six days, neither the sink nor the bathroom mirror have been washed once. For the first two days, no one came to clean the room at all. This attitude towards the guests is unpleasant.
Addition: for 13 nights in terms of cleaning, the situation has hardly changed. When asked about this, the girl at the reception interrupted us every time and said: "This can't be!", and then claimed that we were putting up a "Do not disturb" sign (which actually did not happen).
By the way, the price for a room is 4,100 rubles per day, in my opinion, you could count on basic politeness on her part. I don't know the names of the employees, since they don't wear badges (it's strange for a hotel).
In general, I definitely won't come here a second time.

It is not clear who writes positive reviews about this hotel, so everything is in essence, but first I want to say right away, "Abkhazians", you will receive exactly the same attitude and exactly the same 2-3 times inflated prices from us that you provide to us at home.
The hotel is located in a real "ghetto", it is better not to walk there, especially at night, unless you are a champion runner or you do not have any valuables with you at all. Even before reaching the hotel, on the way to it, you already understand where you are, watching a contingent of homeless people, cattle, crooks sitting "on cortana" or standing on the way to the hotel and watching you with a gaze. The state of the roads is generally a separate story, although this applies to the whole of "Abkhazia" as a whole.
Now about the main thing: In the Samson hotel THERE is NO noise / sound insulation AT ALL, NO, from the word at ALL. If you just remove the walls with the neighbors' numbers, it will be the same. It is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep at night without earplugs, and the best and most expensive ones. You will simply spoil your rest by simply not being able to get enough sleep and rest. There were 3 of us, different in character and nervous system, but absolutely no one could get enough sleep and rest. If you are going to this hotel with a loved one or a companion / companion for romantic purposes, then keep in mind that you will hear your neighbor coughing, burping, pissing, farting, snoring, defecating behind the wall, and it feels like it will happen in your room. The towels in the room are dirty, they stink of some kind of sweat or the devil knows what, maybe it was only us, there were traces of either human excrement or horseradish on our towels. The entire staff consists of matchmakers/brothers/grandparents/acquaintances who never get a grin off their face until the end of your stay.
Dining room: Prices are like in expensive restaurants in Rostov, Novorossiysk, Stavropol. It is good to have a hearty breakfast for one person (tea/ coffee/ porridge/ omelets/ desserts) - 500-700rubles. Together 900-1400₽. At the same time, you are obliged to clean up the dishes, "Abkhazians", can I ask you a purely human question, have you confused anything???, your entire budget is 95% subsidies from the Russian Federation, who are you anyway??? maybe you also need to wash the dishes and wash the laundry?, this is after your "horse" prices that are 2-3 times too high for the entire Russian population, starting from the entrance at the border.. Moreover, if you do not clean up after yourself, then the staff begins to resent, they say, to clean up after yourself, this is called your "Abkhazian HOSPITALITY" ?????. Throughout "Abkhazia," watermelons "for their own" are sold for 20-25 rubles, sometimes even 15 rubles, as the Abkhazians themselves told the Soviet generation. For Russians, the price is from 40₽ and up to infinity, depending on your car, appearance and how the seller wants.
Forget everything about booking and any arrangements at this hotel. You can book one room and get a completely different one at the entrance, and the staff absolutely does not care if you like something or not, no one will solve your problem. If you don't like something in the room, and there is a really significant drawback that is absolutely not your fault, for example, a non-working refrigerator, or a TV, or some kind of extraneous noise from any construction equipment on the street - you don't even have to argue, you just won't go to a meeting. Personally, we have seen similar moments among neighbors and new arrivals.
All over the hotel, some acquaintances, friends, homeless hotel staff or the devil knows who walk, live, sit, spend the night.....
Money is also no money for you and will not be returned for anything, even for services not provided, even for food paid in advance, even for the difference in rooms - just NOT They will return it, you can not even rely on their promises. It is also useless to call the police - they all know each other there, in short, a clean "village", the cops themselves drive on solid roads and violate traffic rules, there in the whole republic initially "the fish rotted from the head".
They will try to take money from you at every step, wherever you go or go.
There are not enough words to describe at least 10% of the 100 dissatisfaction, disgust from deception, from the lack of any service at all, and even his understanding, which remained after a trip to this republic, especially to this hotel.
In the photos, the hotel looks completely different, the location is inconvenient, the only thing that pleased me was the availability of food right in the courtyard.
There are no breakfasts, but you can buy them. In the evening, music plays until 11 in the courtyard. It's uncomfortable with children. The room is small, with an extra bed it turns into just one large sleeping place.
Daily cleaning is a plus. If the room cost is more than 4 thousand, you can find better rooms and with a more convenient location (I write from the experience of the same year, before Samson we lived in another hotel)

There is a cooler with drinking water on each floor. Elevator. The only negative is power surges, usually at night, but this, as I understand it, is a problem throughout Abkhazia.
We were in Abkhazia for the first time, the hotel was booked by a tour operator, we didn't know anything about the hotel when we went. We paid 32,000 for 11 nights, without meals. Overall, the hotel is not bad. Cleaning is daily, but not very high quality. We accidentally broke a bottle of beer in the room, and since there was no one to clean, they gave me a rag, I washed the whole room and raked out so much hair and dirt. The bed linen was changed 3 times for sure, everything is snow-white. The room was on the ground floor, the door opened into the lobby, the audibility was excellent. Therefore, we could hear everything that was happening in the lobby perfectly, even just a quiet conversation. It felt like we were living without a door, we even tried to plug the gap under the door with a towel))) It was especially not pleasant at night (We liked the cafe, almost everything is delicious, the staff is good, the Mzia is very attentive and kind. I didn't like the fact that the guests smoke right at the tables, my child and I had to eat in a closed cafe, because smokers spoiled the clean air on site. And, also, at least 2 unkempt cats like to walk on the territory of the hotel, they were seen climbing on tables when no one was there, begging for food, leaving faeces under a tree. It's not very pleasant either.
