The hotel deserves attention: clean, cozy, pleasant staff. I really liked it! Snow-white linen, towels, very cool mattresses on the beds.
I will not say the same about the cafe/canteen on site. The cafe could have received 4 stars from me if I hadn't been a health worker: serving piece goods (bread, pastries, pancakes) with bare hands indicates the lack of basic concepts about sanitary standards among employees. This is just the moment that I watched in the audience. What happens behind the kitchen doors - figure it out for yourself. I was very surprised that there are no greens in the prepared dishes. Guys, this is Abkhazia!!! Parsley, dill, coriander... they should be in armfuls in any dish, in my opinion. No! Borscht - not a blade of grass, mashed potatoes - not a leaf... Everything is cooked delicious, but without fiction, as they say. Without a soul! And it's not very cheap!!!
The location of the hotel was not very pleasant. The nearest grocery market (there is also a market and a pharmacy) is a 15-minute walk away. There is nothing nearby that could please the eye, especially the Northerners: the embankment is dead, the roads are like after the bombing, or rather they are not. But, on the other hand, it is quiet, sparsely populated.
The beach is nearby (2 minutes walk), large-pebble. There are paid deck chairs, a bar. I repeat, there are few people in this place, which is a big plus for me.
Tip: stock up on enterofuril! Locals say that sewage drains into the sea from all along the coast. I didn't drink water from the sea on purpose, but the cloth was spent on the toilet with the whole family (or is it the kitchen?!))) But I didn't find enterofuril in the pharmacy.

For three stars, three stars. The hotel is not bad, next to the embankment. But for three days of stay, there was never a cleaning in the room. You can see that you are tired during the season and in October you have already relaxed. It's a pity!

The Samson HotelSukhum. We rested from 30.04-07.05.23 and settled in on time without any unnecessary words. The guys at the Reception are friendly and helpful. We booked the room in advance, the renovation is fresh, without a single flaw. The cleanliness is perfect, towels were changed every three days, slippers and care products in the room. No meals were ordered. The distance to the sea is 3 minutes on foot. Asphalt. The territory is small, tables for evening gatherings with beer or wine . I recommend.

An amazing hotel! We lived here for 4 nights from September 31 to September 4. Service, cleanliness, responsive administrators.
We had a problem with the air conditioner, we told about the problem and not quickly, but it was fixed.

This year I had a chance to relax in Samson... I must say right away - the best hotel in all the previous 7 years. Brand new, clean, well-trained staff, comfortable and spacious rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. 5++
There are tables in the courtyard under a canopy - the rain is not terrible, a cafe with delicious food (you can sit with your own, no one drives you away). On the other side, parking for vehicles is not audible and does not interfere. 5++
Location - 150 meters to the sea, a couple of blocks to the market. 5++

In general, it is normal by the standards of Abkhazia. Close to the sea. The rooms are small, the furniture is cheap, the rugs by the bed are superfluous, as is the painting above it. We had one small window where it was not clear to dry things. Parking, it turned out, you need to book in advance, as a result, parking did not help. We were surprised by the doors like in the Plaza. I recommend a halal cafe next to the food, after an ashtray was thrown on our table, we didn't want to eat at the hotel. I remind you that the staff at all levels must be friendly in order to get back to you.

We had a rest in this hotel for 10 gorgeous days! The hotel is new, clean, and the furniture is good. There is an elevator. The room has air conditioning, refrigerator. Private shower room, toilet. The bathroom is cleaned daily, the staff is friendly,smiling, responsive. There is a local cafe in the courtyard, there are tables under the awning. In the evenings, music plays and you can relax with the company) The food is delicious, the portions are large. The sea and the embankment are 3 minutes away slowly, the local beer is delicious! The hotel is a clean three. From the city beach 300m. Modern hotel, new. The rooms are as shown in the photo. If you come as a couple, it is quite comfortable. If there is a family with children, then there are a lot of disadvantages at once. We took a Deluxe (the price is more than 5 thousand per day) and the eldest daughter had an armchair-bed, from the creak of which we all woke up and for the youngest the cot was sagging (the child called her "my jellyfish"). The bed is a great euro! It was very crowded and this is their largest room. I.e. the hotel is not designed for families at all!
The shower is very small and there is also a curtain hanging in it, which sticks to the body (it is covered in fungus-disgusting!) I'm a size 46 and I was cramped. To lather your head, turn off the water first, because there is nowhere to go. In addition, the watering can was broken in our room, the water barely flowed and for this reason the boiler warmed the water unevenly (it was either hot or cold). There is no hood (do you understand?!)
Daily cleaning, but almost!because it is very superficial. And 3 times they cleaned more or less with washing the toilet (mirror never, dust never, wiped myself)! Towels were changed every three days, bed linen every 5 days (there is zero pressure, everything is clean and pleasant)
We had a small balcony where you can put a dryer. The window is facing the sea.
Kondey works very noisily at night, the hum from him is terrible (as the cleaner said, a power outage).
There is a dining room at the hotel. We tried not to eat! It's absolutely not tasty once and half a hotel with rotovirus is two!
About the rotovirus. For the first time in the last many years of our vacation, the children were sick, and the little one was sick twice! What is to blame for this-the common dining room with unsanitary conditions, the sea with sewage discharges, of course I will not say.
The hotel has no territory at all. There is a kitchen-dining room in front and opposite there are several tables under a canopy. Since there is no extractor hood in the kitchen, all the smells hover on this tightly closed area. But, people sat in the evenings). I couldn't. The clothes then stank of the kitchen. We walked and ate on the embankment. We took dishes on the grill and factory wine (without risks for sure!)
The staff is friendly, smiling. But, taking into account all the disadvantages, it turns out like in the cartoon penguins: "let's say they don't have enough fuel - nah, smile and wave"!
Bottom line: if you are two adults and a person drinking (for disinfection), with a strong digestive tract, then you can come! It's close to the sea, the market is close, prices are normal, go for a ride, see the local beauty and the beaches are half-empty, too. It's nice.
If you have a family with small children, this hotel is definitely not for you!
Our impression is crumpled! there were a lot of countries in which we were, but we went immediately without any obstacles! But it turned out to be even worse, precisely because of the children's illness!

We had a vacation in 2023 in September with a family with two children. We booked it six months in advance for 10 days. Upon arrival, we decided to stay not for 10 days, but for 9. Upon check-in at the hotel, the administrator incorrectly calculated the number of days of our vacation and took payment. As a result, when we unknowingly went to rest at the hot springs, all our belongings were collected from the room and stacked at the reception desk. Words cannot describe my indignation at this trick of the hotel administrator!!!! As a result, the situation was sorted out, the administrator's error was fixed and we were moved back to our room. No one has apologized to us. All this happened a day before our vacation ended at this hotel. The sediment remained unpleasant.

The hotel is wonderful! Clean linen, towels are changed every day. Very comfortable rooms, cozy balconies. The staff is extraordinary, everyone is friendly. There is an elevator and parking. It's a 3-minute walk to the sea, but you have to cross the road 2 times. Locals are very bad at giving in to pedestrians. I didn't like the dining room, but it's convenient if you don't have a car, because there's nothing decent nearby anymore. We went to eat somewhere else.

At current prices, the offer is excellent. It's clean, there's everything you need. The staff is helpful. There is a cafe on the ground floor, I think the prices are too high, but it is delicious and the choice is good. The beach is really 3 minutes away, pebbles. The hotel is located at the very beginning of the embankment. It takes 15-20 minutes on foot to the center of Sukhum, 5 minutes by taxi and 200 rubles. At night, however, the frogs croak loudly at the neighboring swamp, so I had to sleep under the air conditioner. The overall impression is positive, you can safely go if you are not confused by some distance from the city center.

We rested for the first time in Abkhazia this year (in June), my husband and I decided to stay at this hotel.
Of the disadvantages, I can highlight the following:
-check-in takes place at a certain time, not earlier, which is not always convenient, after the road at almost 20 o'clock I wanted to take a shower and take a nap, but I had to wait another 2 hours for check-in.
- there is a TV in the room, but there is no sense from it, it shows only 4 channels, and some of them shows poorly
Now about the advantages:

He's gorgeous and perfect! The hotel has thought out everything from amenities to your complete safety. There are completely different rooms, the prices are more than acceptable for them! Each room has a safety deposit box and everything you need. Expensive and very high-quality snow-white linen! Orthopedic mattresses and pillows!! Perfect cleanliness everywhere! Free on-site parking! The reception is open around the clock... They are always attentive, polite, and will solve almost any of your problems!
There is a cafe-dining room with delicious fresh food and a very friendly "hostess" at the counter! The average check for 3 came out about 1 thousand (without helping yourself to anything) they cook immediately, and do not warm up.
Located next to the sea, 3 minutes on foot...if at a leisurely pace. The beach is clean and refined. There is a cafe on site (sun beds are paid) the nearest beach is free, a little further there is a paid one!
There are 2 shops and a fruit and vegetable market nearby.
The city market is a 7-minute walk away... Where everything is.
Nearby there is an equestrian club and the Sukhum embankment.

Parking on the territory is tight, check-out in turns, but you can park your car on the street in a puddle, but under the hotel camera. This is a good solution, I recommend it. It's not far from the sea, crossing the road you get to the beginning of the pedestrian promenade that runs between the park and the beach to the center of Sukhum. The beach is made of small pebbles. There is a tray with fresh fruits on the way.

Nice hotel. They cleaned every day, the towel was changed every 3 days, the bedclothes every 5 days. The lights and water were not turned off, the wow fi always worked and caught well even near the hotel. The staff is friendly. The room is also spacious, which pleased me. We had a rest with young children, they had to have fun with "improvised" toys.
