Decent cuisine. We chose this restaurant for lunch and were completely satisfied with our choice. The interior is a bit gloomy, heavy, but good service and delicious food completely blocked the first impression.

I came to Brest to take a walk and enjoy the beautiful city. I found this restaurant based on reviews. On Sunday evening, of course, all the seats were occupied, so I decided to order a pickup. I took beef ponza, pork with potatoes and salad, pate, bread basket and cheesecake. Considering the pretentiousness of the restaurant, it seemed that the food would be delicious, but! The pork was plain, and the beef was impossible to chew. I'm sorry, but the quality of the food is just terrible. Of course, it is necessary to take not a cornered horse for beef, but good grain-fed beef. It was impossible to chew a single bite.
I will note, however, that the pate was very tasty, and the cheesecake was just good. This, of course, did not fix anything. But at least it didn't spoil it further.

We booked a table for a large company a month in advance! We came to an empty restaurant on May holidays. We were very surprised that many dishes from the menu were not available (holidays are a hot time, plus 17 of us). Also, with our annoyance at the lack of pancakes, we were directed to other restaurants where they are. There is no children's menu, but it was possible to order something from it. Spicy Thai soup was also offered, which was not on the menu. So this soup was ordered by one guest and could not eat it - everything was on fire, which he hurried to tell the manager and asked not to include this soup in the bill. The manager tried to argue and said that the soup was normal. There was an acute misunderstanding... The rest of the dishes were delicious and beautiful, the waiters worked quite well. As a result, everyone agreed that Jules Verne declares itself as a high-level restaurant, which is really not up to it... or maybe we were just unlucky.

The kitchen itself is not bad in principle, but the service is terrible!!! They give one information on the cooking time by phone, and after payment, the time is slightly extended from 20 minutes to 80 minutes. And this is when landing 5 tables. The impression of a provincial cafe. Starting from the behavior of the bartender and the waiters do not lag behind him. I doubt the moderator will miss it. But that's the way it is.

I was not allowed inside with a jacket, although they said at the entrance that it was acceptable. I felt extremely uncomfortable when, despite promises, I was simply kicked out. Such an ungrateful attitude towards visitors leaves a bitter impression. I hope you will reconsider your rules in the future.

But: the serving is long, the salad has too much butter, the chicken with orzo is disgusting, the stollen is a special Christmas dessert, apparently from last Christmas, a complete disappointment, bottled beer, store-bought, the range of wines is mediocre. In general, they left almost 6 tr (increased), the impression of the food does not correspond to the declared level as "one of the best restaurants in Brest." But the interior is beautiful and the tea is rich)
