If we talk about the ticket offices, then everything is done clearly for the guests. The staff is friendly, they help if necessary with checking tickets for the cable car...
If you are a hiker outside the winter season, then... Take tickets for three lifts at once and save them until you return back!
As for Shymkent itself... There are simply no words here - complete delight!)))
Bring a warm jacket with you, otherwise you will freeze faster than you explore most trails! Comfortable sports shoes are required, otherwise you won't get far...
You can get to the ticket offices by bus. I preferred not to wait for the bus (N 12 times every half hour), but to take a taxi. It's not too budget-friendly, but it's much faster...
Excellent office, a round-trip ticket for an adult is 5500. For children under a certain age, free of charge. They launch small children with understanding, with a stroller. Many kids are afraid of the cable car and thus they go in and out of the launch point, the conductor patiently launches and releases, which is very nice!!!
Excellent ski resort. There are a lot of people, you can get there both by taxi and by bus. The only thing is, of course, the prices leave much to be desired. Maintenance costs from 18,000 and more. Although in the city you can rent it much cheaper, two or two and a half times. Therefore, I recommend that you come there with your equipment. You will have a huge amount of emotions, skiing and snowboarding. Everyone can choose what they like. I recommend it!!!
it was the first time, I rather didn't like it: half of the cable car is closed at the same ticket price (you can make a discount, if that's the case). at the same time, when they went up to the first station, there was a working cable car, but tickets were no longer sold there, allegedly because of the large number of people, although the booths went up constantly empty.
a separate thrill is the way back to the city - it is impossible to call a taxi, the bus is packed to capacity. in general, there is no desire to go a second time
The resort is not bad in principle. Nicely. The tracks are good, if only they were still open when we were there... But there are a few moments that have put me in some despondency ...
1. Ski pass only for a day, or for half a day. The price is fixed. If you take it for 3,5,7 days, the price is the same.
There are no discounts ...
2. The same trouble at the box office..
There is a rental for 5 or 7 days, but not for 2, 3.4 days. That is, if you want to ski for three days, you need to rent skis every day and rent them in the evening. While standing in line... Gymoroy ...
Plus to all this, I can mention the very tasty food in Almaaty.
I especially recommend visiting a place called the WORKSHOP.
And of course, in Almaty, visit the monument to V. TSOY.
Bright memory to you Victor Robertovich!!!
It's a complete disgrace. You can't get to Cimbulac now. They bring buses to ride the Medeo-Cimbulak cable car from the surrounding villages of tourists, as it were. There are a lot of people. Women in veils, headscarves, with their faces covered, and will not go to the cable car. This has never happened before
I was ashamed in front of the guests. Yes, and it's scary. In the Emirates, women are all with their faces uncovered. And who is being taken here?
If you come to Almaty, you definitely need to visit Medeu and above. The cable car is working, I sat down and drove. If it's better to take jackets with the children, it's cold upstairs.
We were on Saturday, August 10th... We don't want to visit anymore, We were with the children. Unculturation, rudeness, there must be order, rooms, a lot of people, there are not enough booths, especially at stations 2 and 3 I do not advise, there is nothing special there. It is better to go to the park or another place.
I was very surprised that literally 20 minutes from the city and you are already in the mountains, or rather at their foot, but with a wonderful view, where you definitely want to go. To go all the way to the peak at an altitude of 3,200 meters, you need to buy a lift ticket to overcome 2 transfers and a huge number of meters below you. The staff was friendly, told me which ticket you need to buy to see all the beauty of the mountains, politely communicated and after a couple of seconds I received the coveted ticket, which allowed me to experience so many emotions that words cannot convey. Come and feel this moment when it takes your breath away from climbing the mountains!
Shymkent is the place where you definitely need to go. And I can't say when it's more beautiful there, every season is a fairy tale. It is better to arrive in the morning when there are fewer people.
The cashier advised which route is better to take.
If you arrive early, you can avoid long queues.
The route to the topmost station will cost 5,000 tenge per adult.
We bought ski passes for the ski lifts of the resort here - very polite and friendly staff. The only thing that really surprised and upset me a little is that it is not possible to buy a ticket for 4 days at once. I had to come every morning and buy a ski pass for the day. There has always been an opportunity to buy ski passes for several days at a discount at all ski resorts in the world…
I really liked the trails and the quality and beauty and the small number of people, a lot of restaurants and places where you can just drink tea
The cost of the ski pass is very reasonable
The staff are great, they work quickly and try to do everything quickly. We waited moderately in time, even to a full house. Cash registers are right next to each other - I wish there were more. There are questions about contacting the cashier.
it was necessary to get up quickly, because time was limited - the cashier advised to go there without stopping on the lift, and to go back down slowly. It helped a lot, because as soon as we got upstairs, we announced almost immediately that they would close soon. The views are amazing, somewhere in the middle there is a cafe with an open veranda - we took hot tea and sat looking at the mountains
Everything is at the highest level! The staff is polite, finds an approach with knowledge of languages to anyone who wants to visit the ski resort "Shimbulak". Keep it up !
Everything is quite fast, several windows are working, the cashiers are polite and will tell you how to part with money in the least painful way. Even in the season, a large queue goes fast enough.
I am a citizen of Belarus and Russia, I did not take my passport with me because I was afraid that it might get wet and the risk of losing it was high. I am 23 years old and I pass the youth tariff. But the scans of the Belarusian and Russian passports were not considered true at the checkout. They demanded only the original. I went to the Russian public services about them, where my documents are linked. The Kazakh IIN also showed. But I was told to pay the full price. I look my age.
Such a small thing ruined all the impressions of the trip. It is unpleasant that they think that I will deceive someone and forge documents, the state website and the Kazakh IIN for the sake of 1,500 tenge, this is ridiculous. The management of the cable car is stuck and shaking over every penny. Forgetting that they sell services and experiences. And the impressions of the cashier's staff are the most disgusting. I would like a higher degree of customer orientation
Convenient, affordable, and prompt. The cash register is working properly and fulfilling its purpose. The New Year's Eve atmosphere is created by decorations and the mood of the staff during service.
There are no disadvantages, the queue is very moderate, there is a banner with prices and descriptions, next to bus stop 12, turnstiles, views, inexpensive coffee and buns - a fairy tale!
The queue is big, but it's moving fast. It is divided into two parts, some into a booth, some into chairs. There are good cafes at each of the stops. You can take a walk and have a good time
The ticket office of the ski complex "Shimbulak" left a pleasant impression of the organization of the service. Cashiers are fluent in various languages, which allows for quick service
It is too expensive for such a level of service, even going down to the parking lot when he finished riding, he sat in an expensive rest with pies for 700 rubles. you can not without paying extra ALL DAY! I've never seen anything like it anywhere.
The slope is only 1 long, there is almost no skiing culture, all the locals sit wherever they want. For some reason, beginners go to the highest point and there they start asking "how to ride".
Otherwise, it's beautiful there.
They will tell you everything, they will show you everything.
You can pay quite a lot in different ways.
I have no complaints, the choice of options for skiing is diverse - just take it, choose and use it.
Everything is clear, fast! We have never stood for a long time, I would like more souvenirs near the ticket offices, but everything is wonderful. Let's come back again!
It is fast and convenient, with full occupancy and a large flow of tourists, it is relatively easy to queue for the lift for a long time, at all levels...
A very beautiful place to relax.Fresh air.Kazakhstan is the most beautiful place❤️I am proud of my country!Let's keep our city clean.Put something in the right place at the entrance to the canopy. We almost die in winter when our feet slip😅
They explain everything well and in detail. The inconvenient thing is that you can't buy both a rental car and a school at the same time..
The location is convenient, the signs pointing to the ticket offices are large and prominent
There are no weekend benefits.
There is a fan in the cabins, there is no air conditioning.
Tickets should be cheaper for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In principle, there are no questions about the ticket offices themselves, the staff is polite and trained, they will tell you everything you need in different languages,
They will tell you different points and how not to get into the gap.
There are queues on weekends, keep in mind. And they work fast, 3 cash desks worked. I didn't have to wait long. The only drawback is that no one regulates how many people enter the funicular, so a lot of people can enter and it will become crowded. And if it's also hard, then the funicular will start to rock on the way :)
