Good afternoon. We were in Abkhazia for the first time. We lived in the Fairy Tale guest house. Everything is at the highest level. The staff is very polite and pleasant. Delicious home cooking, many thanks to the chefs. Cleanliness and order in the room. Special thanks to the manager Liana and Rafael. Wonderful vacation, clean sea, mountains. We hope to spend our holidays in this place again next year.

Good afternoon. We had a rest from June 22 to July 2, 2021.We rested in a two-room room. The hotel left only positive impressions. The staff is very polite and friendly. The managing Liana will always help and tell you. The rooms are cleaned every day, which is incredibly pleasant, since this does not happen everywhere. There is a swimming pool on site, which is cleaned every day. And it is very pleasant that the hotel territory is cleaned every day, and there is no trace of evening leaf fall in the morning. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to the sea. You can also have breakfast on the veranda, directly overlooking the sea🤗🤗🤗🤗

Stars for cleanliness and responsive staff. The bathroom was empty, but there was a sagging mattress on the bed , and the bed itself made a heartbreaking creak when trying to turn over. Someone writes about the gorgeous sea view, it is available only from one room. We lived on the third floor, friends on the second, the whole view is covered by eucalyptus trees (photo below). The kitchen is mediocre . They don't bother with cooking, although the prices are not small.
A huge disadvantage is the location of the hotel!!!! Guys, it's tough. There are no hotels above. There is a hotel "Astana" nearby. The guests of both hotels did not make a trip to the sea, but a march! Who writes about the beautiful views on the road, yes. Look at it for a day , then it'll get in your throat. There are no shops, pharmacies, or cafes in the vicinity. You have to stomp for 15 minutes before everything. First down the pedestrian serpentine, and then up.
With great envy, walking, I looked at the hotels standing on the first coastline (and there are plenty of them there).

I do not advise you to go. We paid for it in 12 days. We asked several times in advance, and the day before, if everything was in order - the answer is: yes, that's it, the room is waiting for you. We are coming: a mother and two children. But there is no number. Voila. The receptionist Liana begins to lie, looking honestly into her eyes, that there is a breakdown in the room right now, which will be repaired carefully by 14-00 the next day. Obviously, the room is occupied by other people. I suggest we go to the room and assess the damage. She can't do it. Naturally, there are things and other people there. He continues to assure me that there is just a terrible breakdown of the toilet. I open the mail: there is a letter from the booking manager Elena, who honestly writes that they have overbooked, and asks us to stay in Pitsunda for a day, from where we came to them. The trouble is that at 13:00 we ALREADY arrived at them for the simple reason that all hotel rooms are vacated at 12:00. OK. What's next? The administrator Liana offers another, their own, hotel in Novaya Gagra instead of the Old One, without a pool, which is essential for children, instead of the ordered two-room suite - the usual standard, but with breakfast. For a day, and then to them, or for three days, if we like it there. When asked about the difference in payment, it is obvious that the prices of these hotels and rooms are completely different, he says, no, the price is the same. I open the booking office, I look at that hotel. For our calculation 9400/ day. For that 6800/day. The difference is 8000 rubles in 3 days. But Liana pretends to be very surprised. After all, she allegedly believes that a two-room suite with a pool costs the same as a standard without a pool. In general, the girl Liana was smiling, while lying professionally, brazenly and confidently. First, for half an hour about the breakdown in the room where other people live, then refusing to refund the difference for the proposed hotel. Question - at least for a day you would like to stay close to people who are lying godlessly, looking into your eyes and smiling. I'm not. They knew perfectly well that our room would be occupied, especially since they knew about it the day before, they knew perfectly well that 1 mother with two children was going. That was their calculation: she had nowhere to go, she would go like a pretty girl, where, say, we would also throw her for money. Do you want to go to such people? I'm not. We immediately found a hotel in Tsandrypsh and went there, having a great time in Abkhazia for the rest of our days. Bottom line: we had booked 4 hotels for a vacation in Abkhazia. This one is the worst in relation to the client. One plus - they helped to call a taxi and returned the advance payment. Whether you want to spend time, nerves and money on a taxi to get into our situation is up to you.

2. It's one thing to go down - it's just more than 100 steps and serpentines to climb (30 min if you're an athlete and then you'll fall in the heat)
3. Insects!!!! There are bedbugs, hornets, ants, spiders everywhere. They fall on their heads and climb everywhere!!
4. The stink in the bathroom is always terrible
5. Lack of shops, cafes, etc. (you will have to go down and climb again)
6. If you decide to take a walk in the evening (which is logical and it's time in the evening not in the heat, cafes, etc. by the sea) then either take a lantern (if you walk up and look at your feet-then scorpions and other "Living creatures". Or

We were in Abkhazia for the first time. We are very pleased that we have settled in a Fairy Tale. The room was on the 2nd floor with a sea view. Of course, it's not close to walking to the sea, but walking did not scare us, and climbing and descending the stairs contributed to the fact that you can pump up the appropriate muscles in the shortest possible time :)))) The Fairy Tale has wonderful staff, friendly, hospitable employees. It feels like we've come to visit old friends. We took only breakfast - very hearty and delicious - many thanks to the cook. The sea in the area of Staraya Gagra is clean and in April we even managed to swim... Special thanks to the manager Liana, who is on duty almost around the clock :))))

We rested for a week. Like it. Helpful staff, helped with medications if necessary. In general, it is a "plus" on all points, except for the cold floor. I recommend that you bring home shoes. Perhaps on warmer days this disadvantage will come to naught. I visited in the middle of May.

A wonderful hotel for your money. The rooms are simple and clean. There is a swimming pool with sun loungers. Insanely delicious home cooking, if you are offered to buy breakfast or lunch, do not refuse. Excursions can also be offered there on site. Prices are not charged, the administrators are very hospitable, they told and showed everything. The most important thing is the sea view. It's beautiful!

Among the advantages: closed Parking, friendly hosts, soft mattress.
Of the minuses, everything else: electricity is turned off every day, and sometimes water. Even the suite does not have a kettle and a hair dryer. Sockets are also difficult to find. The rooms are cleaned only between guests. Lots of insects. The pool was not heated. The water is no warmer than in the sea, and it smells like bleach. Meals are served inside only during the summer season. The nearest shop or cafe is on the coast, and it is very far away. The fourth floor is a wooden attic and on the third floor there is a terrible creaking from any movement upstairs.
The furniture is all made of chipboard and has seen the best of times.Doors without a foot and a mat do not open. We won't stop here a second time.

A great guest house! Hospitable hosts, hello to Liana and Sam! Thanks a lot for the service!) The hotel is high, on a mountain slope, for the view from the balcony to the sea!) The descent takes about 15 minutes to the main street, the ascent is longer, especially in rainy weather, when water flows down and the road is washed away. Nature, greenery and mountain air are the main things!

A normal place to stay. No need to expect 4-5 stars. Otherwise, everything is more or less. However, they write that this is the first line !!! (By the sea, according to their concepts, this is a house by the sea) in fact, it's decent to go down the mountain for 20 minutes to the sea. In October, we got bedbugs (some others who do not eat people, but absorb fruits, greens, etc., as they explained to us) a suite on the 3rd floor, I collected 40 bedbugs by number, threw them out and then they climbed a little only when you turn on the air conditioner. Overall, the score is 3+-4.

Never at the reception. The pool is very cold. We arrived in October. In early December, we came to another hotel with a swimming pool and it worked, was very clean, and very fast. Right here! The cooling pool. Very inconvenient location. Down the serpentine. There are bedbugs in the rooms, which had to be kicked out every day. The only one + clean rooms. But it's better to pay 600rubles extra and stay in a normal hotel.

We were with my husband and son from September 18 to 26, 2020. I liked everything very much (and we are experienced tourists, there is something to compare it with. We have been abroad many times in hotels of the **** category).
The hotel has its own beautiful well-groomed stylized territory. The heated pool with hydromassage and mountain views has become a wonderful bonus! The hotel is surrounded on all sides by majestic eucalyptus trees, which have a healing effect (everyone probably knows, since they used a eucalyptus broom in the bath at least once. It is very relevant for me, since I am an asmatic allergic). The hotel itself is modern, well-maintained, beautiful both outside and inside, the room in which we stayed is spacious, with a balcony and sea views. The excellent location of the hotel: above sea level, which offers stunning views! The distance from the hotel to the sea is about 800~900 m, but in fact this is a big plus, because it is a walk along a real original Abkhazian street, where you can buy grapes, wine, etc. from local residents on the way, see how ordinary locals live, go to a cafe and taste real Abkhazian cuisine, prepared just for you. It should be understood that Abkhazia is a country of the SOUL, there is no need to wait for chic, glitter and gloss, because Abkhazia conquers first of all with pristine nature, the purest sea and hospitable kind people. Thanks to the host Gennady and the administrators for a wonderful stay!

Great hotel! The pool is clean, though small. The food is very good, the chefs try their best, it's always hotter, because it's hand-served, without a buffet. They are cleaned every two days. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are no insects. We really live on the ground floor. Beautiful view of the sea or mountains. But there is One drawback, it is a reverse uphill climb. Four turns and plus 128 steps. But on the third day, my legs get used to it. But a shower after rising is mandatory.

I do not recommend the hotel to elderly people, if they go down to the sea, it will be difficult to climb back up. Good evening! Finally I found time to leave a real review about the Skazka Hotel. There are a lot of disadvantages, it's terribly far to the sea, the stairs are steep, it's easier to go down, but when you go up, you just don't feel your legs, the food is disgusting-they paid a lot of money (supposedly all inclusive) chicken cutlet, chicken meat, in the end they threw up from this chicken, they don't have beef!!! Alcohol is like all inclusive, two types of sour wine, you can't drink more than one glass (and they don't pour it willingly). The administrators are always unhappy. In the evening, some cars come by (As I understand it, friends or acquaintances of the owners turn on the music loudly).I do not advise you to think 100 times before coming here. The hotel is great. The view is fabulous, the rooms are large, beautiful, and the service is also top-notch. The rooms are cleaned every 2 days. BUT there is always a but. The hotel is located on the very top of the mountain. You can still go down to the sea, but you can go up.... the heart may stop. And there's also no kitchen. You can only order breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We got a good room, if you don't pay attention to the fact that some furniture is attached to the tape. TV, refrigerator, balcony with access to the pool. The only drawback is the permanent stairs. The room is on the 3rd floor. The canteen did not work, we went to eat at a nearby hotel, the girls from the kitchen- I forgot to thank you that everything was delicious and not expensive. To eat with a view of the sea, it's gorgeous. Okay, the descent to the sea... This is a real march throw. 182 stairs to the bottom and a winding road with 5 turns, along which cars manage to pass. If you are without children, you will overcome this barrier without any problems. But if you are with a child, then be prepared that he will hang on your neck from fatigue. The sea was gorgeous by the way. There are few people. In general, I would return to Abkhazia, you get a good relaxation there. But after 7 days it gets boring there. Of all the excursions, the most worthwhile is the Ritz. And then if you come across a worthwhile guide. And dear guides, what a joke to take on every wine tasting tour. The first time it still worked, and we even bought wine - which after 5 days began to smell like vinegar, and it was not possible to drink it. Then a lot of people stayed on the bus during the degustation. The hotel is a fairy Tale, not bad in itself. The girls are good, the room has been cleaned up, they will always explain everything. But the fact that we didn't have our own kitchen, and going to the sea, it made us uncomfortable, considering that we were going to rest and couldn't help but think. Go to the sea at least 2 times. But it turned out to be one, either before lunch or for the whole day under an umbrella, because there was no desire to march twice.
