A wonderful place appeared in the post-war years according to the project of academician Shchusyev. The ticket was sold by a charming curvy cashier with a mustache, apparently one of the Bukharian Jews. Tashkent has its own ballet school and dance culture. Even in the summer, we managed to watch the Nutcracker, "porcelain" dancers, a lot of positive impressions, including from the local tradition - after the 3rd bell, a group of pensioners without tickets was launched into the hall, waiting for permission at the entrance, and seated in the stalls..

I was in this building as a child. And, of course, I came to the theater when I was in Tashkent. I was listening to Yolanthe. The voices are good, they play with pleasure. But the costumes are poor, why is the building unlit from the outside, there is not a single Banner with the repertoire. Then I found one, but the letters are blurry and it is unreadable. There is no former chic and grandeur, but this is a theater of Republican significance. Insufficient funding? It's a shame about the theater.

The repertoire is classical, from the USSR. Opera and ballet artists of a good level are trained by the local Conservatory and Choreographic School. The richest interior of the theater foyer is striking. The carved panels of gancha (alabaster) are exquisite and diverse: There are no identical ones. Very clean. Good acoustics.

The building is gorgeous, although it is not a few years old, the lighting was decorated, excellent lighting in the evening, the square in front of the theater is competently used in summer for various events. The acoustics in the theater are excellent, because it was originally designed correctly and competently, children's ensembles are taught there on a general and free basis, children go to joint performances and also understand participation on the big stage. The ballet company in Tashkent is not bad, but there is certainly not enough talent or skill. But the guys do their best on stage, they try very hard.

Magnificent interiors, special atmosphere, intermission, many beautiful stairs, halls, chandeliers, walls! Historical furniture in the hall where you can sit. The hall itself, as befits a large theater, is solemn and majestic! The acoustics are excellent. The workers help people, even pick up crying children and take them to play in the hallway. The only negative is the buffet with expensive food, but this is the case in all the big theaters in the world 😅

The repertoire is diverse, but previously announced performances are often canceled. A wonderful ballet company.
