Soviet architecture is tedious.
There is no feeling that hygiene is being observed. We need to change everything inside in a coordinated way.
What kind of hanging pieces of meat (!) why is the meat not stored in the showcase (in a chilled state) the stink is all over the meat pavilion. There is no authenticity of its own, it is a continuous bazaar, dirt and stench
Cons: it is not very clean, it is difficult to find natural cottage cheese and cream in dairy rows, in meat rows, especially kazy, they can be hung, vegetable growers can put spoiled goods in a bag, so they immediately tie a knot. In general , a gloomy place .
The advantage is that there is a large selection of products.
The market is cool and historical, but, unfortunately, it has turned into a place for tourists to divorce. Visit other Almaty markets before going shopping here — you will be pleasantly surprised by the prices.
On the upper floor, sellers serve people even less, and at the bottom everything is like from a distant village, they slip rotten vegetables and fruits and at the same time constantly swear where the administration is looking
Everything is without words, the sellers are very friendly, they always feed you, you go out with purchases and pockets full of nuts and sweets. The place is a must-visit.
You can find anything from the products! But the prices correspond to the market. If you try hard, you can find a cheaper product. Meat is expensive. Milk is more expensive than in Moscow. Just like in supermarkets!
The usual market is stalls plus high-quality products and prices inside. The main difference from the Moscow markets is price competition, and the prices themselves are 2 times lower.
The meat department is just a bomb. It's like I've been to a museum or an exhibition. A huge abundance of offal. I was drooling. The quality of the meat is excellent. You won't find this in Moscow. I recommend it to anyone who is not indifferent and loves to create in the kitchen.
I don't like oriental bazaars. This one is the standard of crowding, noise, obsession, lack of price tags, confusion. It's better to come to the closing. Many merchants discount prices to sell leftover vegetables, berries and fruits
A wonderful bazaar, the choice is excellent. I was in Almaty for a day anyway, I stopped by, bought kazy, mutton, tongue, dried fruits, nuts. I packed everything in a vacuum. I took it. And what are the flavors there. And to bargain
...... A real bazaar.
The most ordinary oriental bazaar, from the time of the Soviet Union. It is a local landmark. Prices are at least twice as high for tourists, and they are unmistakably singled out from the crowd here. You can buy everything: food, oriental sweets, meat, kazakhs, clothes and souvenirs. If you go around the whole, it will take several hours.
One of the business cards of Almaty, as the Chorsu market for Tashkent. We recommend you to visit spices, sweets, fresh products.
The only problem is to park the car, you may have to park the car a block before the market.
Immersed in the atmosphere of an old market! Nostalgia) The assortment is huge, you can get lost among the tents. You can visit just as an excursion. I bought Kurt. You can try!
A very authentic place. Not cheap - you can buy meat and dried fruits of the same quality much cheaper. However, the overall market atmosphere is impressive.
The vegetable market is interesting. You can buy a lot of interesting things, BUT do not buy phones and Wi-Fi, etc. They cheat there and the old non- working ones will be stuck in and the money will not be given to you .
A bazaar where you can buy everything!!!Excellent assortment of household items !!!Always Fresh beef, horse meat, lamb. There is a Turkish delight factory nearby . Convenient parking!!
Is the bazaar not the same as it was before? I'm not walking now. Is there deception everywhere , rude sellers , the quality of goods , meat , vegetables, fruits of questionable quality ?
We need a renovation, a modern approach. There is a separate pavilion for meat and meat products. Cleaners often drive past open products with strollers, it's unpleasant. Of course, the goods are of high quality, but the prices are very high!
Previously, the green bazaar was exactly a "bazaar". Food was sold there, as in all oriental bazaars - vegetables, fruits, meat, etc. then the bazaar slowly slipped to the option of a "real market" plus some products. And to be honest, everything looks depressingly like in the "Chinese bazaar", and not in Almaty
There are a lot of goods , there are clothes and there are grocery products as well as chemical goods , the quality of the goods is good , the staff is acceptable
A real bazaar! We bought nuts, I have never tasted such nuts anywhere! Sweet, fragrant, amazing. I discovered a real pecan. Another very tasty horse sausage left an impression
A place that everyone who comes to Almaty should visit. Prices are not the lowest and even at the bazaar itself you need to know where and what is better and more profitable to buy. There are many delicious things for tourists and you can buy high-quality natural products as a gift for your loved ones!
A huge abundance of fruits, vegetables and other products. You can buy almost anything here. And of course, I would like to mention the unique local flavor separately.
A good market. Convenient location. But the big minus is that there are no parking lots at all, everything is always packed, there is nowhere to park the car.Prices are not much cheaper than in other markets.
I really like this market for myself,my loved ones, and if you are looking for what you want, you will find what you want,I am grateful for it, the cleanliness is good 👍 👍 👍
Inside on the second floor there is a very tasty pilaf. A very huge selection of nuts, herbs, apples, pickles, natural juices that are made right in front of you. There are many small shops, bus stops, metro nearby. The people working there are kind.
I recommend. It's a good place. Fruits and vegetables. The horsemeat is gorgeous. I bought at the store next to the nuts. Fish and caviar are more expensive than in Russia. There is no point in buying. And horsemeat is definitely spices.
Some dealers , they buy from the Altyn horde . The places are occupied by regular sellers , there is no place for a person who has decided to sell something from his garden. There was no such thing in Soviet times
I love this bazaar. Like any bazaar, it is a place where fun and bargaining, kindness and brazen cheating go hand in hand.
From the good: high turnover. The probability of buying a missing item is low. But there is! Therefore, vigilance!))
From the bad: prices. Especially if they see that the person is new, they charge the price mercilessly.
Tip: if you have found your seller, you need to establish friendly relations. Then there will be fresh food and normal prices.
