In October, they decided to go to Minsk for their wife's birthday. My friends advised me to visit the Vasilki restaurant, where the national cuisine is presented. I liked it so much that we visited the restaurant twice during our four days in Minsk. Very cozy, atmospheric place, clean, fast service.
The kitchen is very decent: machanka and draniki are on top. To the general positive impression about Minsk - a big fat plus!!

Everyone is talking about draniki. But for some reason, it is in cornflowers that the draniki taste bitter and dark, from the fact that they were either overcooked or the oil was old ... and the dessert of fruits turned out not to be with cream, but with nasty cottage cheese. Disappointment. There is an over-dried chicken cutlet on the children's menu, the child could only eat it in a bite with tomato sauce. A good chain restaurant of Belarusian cuisine. We had dinner with the whole family (2 adults and 2 children). The hall was full of guests, but it turned out that the restaurant has another hall at the bottom of the stairs, which pleased us, since there is a problem with free seats in restaurants in Minsk in the evening. The soups are very tasty as they visited my grandmother))) Since we often visit relatives in Austria, the children are used to the Austrian schnitzel, it is thinner there. But the schnitzel in the restaurant is also decent, eaten means edible. Veal cheeks are very tasty, fall apart into fibers, and traditionally they are served with mashed potatoes. Puree without lumps and delicious. The meat set looks delicious, my husband liked it. The children "ate" the ribs😂 it's worth a lot to please my fastidious, bravo👏 Even the bread turned out to be tastier than in other restaurants) Bread is served warm with some delicious layer of garlic sauce, or cheese-garlic, to be honest, they ate it so quickly, and didn't even understand) The service is pleasant, the waiter is sociable. The next day I saw a queue at the same restaurant in one of the shopping centers, and there were places in neighboring restaurants. The best Cornflowers in Minsk, fast service, delicious food. I really liked the beef cheeks with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables, it's insanely delicious! The queue at the restaurant did not bother, it passes quickly, because there are a lot of tables and waiters. The waiters and the manager are running around like crazy. We were there 5 times at different times to get a table, we always waited no more than 15 minutes. With a full landing, and they always have a full one in the evening, the dishes were waited for no more than 20 minutes, although they warned that the waiting
time was somewhere 30-35 minutes. They always brought it before that time. Nearby there is parking near the boulevard on both sides, it is free from 18-00 until the morning on weekdays, and on weekends and holidays it is free all day. I highly recommend it!

Breakfast was above praise (the photo shows exactly what it was) we ate heartily, for dessert we took cheesecakes, one serving for two. Well, they are very tasty. By the evening, after walking around and getting to know Minsk, we decided to return to the same Cornflowers. There were a lot of people, but everyone was served very quickly and efficiently. There were no complaints about anything at all. Very tasty liqueurs, beer with cherries is just incredible. My friend ordered dranmkai again, and I ordered zepelins. This is a new unknown dish for me. Very interesting. The prices are pleasant, you can pay with a mir card. We were very pleased with our visit to this restaurant.
