Good day!
I often visit cafes and restaurants around the world and I know a lot about the restaurant business.
I always pay attention to the management and staff of a particular institution where I spend my time.
My wife and I decided to go to the cool Veranda cafe on the Black Sea coast in Gudauta.A girl greeted us with a smile and offered us a table to choose from!That's IT!!!
We ordered milk oolong, lemonade and beer, which are served within 5-10 minutes according to standards.We ordered a hookah.
The drinks were brought to us in 20-25 minutes, the hookah maker was not found and they sent us a BARBECUE MAN with mats!!!The poor guy was all red and angry, because he doesn't even smoke, not what a hookah does.
Result:I asked for the bill.The girl specified whether by card or in cash, but then said only by transfer by number.When asked to call the manager or manager, the girl brought the terminal and said that it was working.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR RECREATION IN Gudauta!!!
TO ALL MY FRIENDS IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS, I WILL CITE THIS CAFE AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO TURN A NICE IDEA WITH A VERANDA INTO A DINER NEAR THE SEA.

The view is beautiful, that's all the advantages. The service is very slow, although even half of the tables were not occupied during the day. My wife poisoned herself with caesar and shrimp. If you do not take seafood, then maybe for the sake of photos you can go in (or drink coffee).

We had delicious food last year, but hookah solves everything around smoking hookah smoke it is impossible to sit too.
We decided to go in this year, the hookah remained, the food was so-so, it got worse and the price tag was just a distribution.
If you want to smoke a hookah pipe, it's a great place if you want to have a delicious meal with your family, there's nothing to do there.

Very tasty shish kebab and many other dishes, only a portion of cream soup they obviously do not have 300g. The waiters can barely do their job, as if they were in their own world at all. The best restaurant in Gudauta, a varied menu, pleasant service. Beautiful sea view, location right on the beach. It is better to book tables for the evening in advance, because you can come in the evening and not sit on the veranda itself. The price tag is average.

A gorgeous cafe! The helpful hostess, Nona, always found a place for us. Delicious mussels, good local wine, chocolate dessert with coconut from the chef is super. And most importantly - cool live music! The vocals are wonderful and a very harmonious ensemble, the musicians will not disappoint 👍 a beautiful panoramic view of the sea from any table (summer veranda).
Book places especially for concert evenings in advance ☝️

The atmosphere is interesting, an open veranda, tables outside and a closed veranda (there is no balcony, windows are exposed, there is no hiding from the heat). There are a lot of people, hectic waiters. Other people's dishes were brought three times))). We ordered Caesar salad (delicious), carbonate (delicious), pork with vegetables in a frying pan (my husband said the potatoes were there as if yesterday, and so are the norms). Instead of 3 forks, 2 were brought. When asked to bring another one, the waitress said, "I'm straining with the wolves, let me bring a spoon")))).... To carbonara.... A spoon)))) We laughed for a long time and waited for a long time. They took the chacha, did not drink it, returned it, it smells worse than grandpa's braga. There was no bottled beer, they took different (very "Different"). The peach milk cocktail is the most common. The result is 4 for food, 3 for service.

We were at the Veranda restaurant today. There are no places (evening ~ 20.00) in the open, those that are all booked. We sat down in another part of the restaurant, in a house with upholstered sofas. It is very cozy, the menu is varied, more European dishes, the portions are good.
But now the cons:
Everything is VERY greasy, salty
We ordered pasta carbonara (a lot of fatty sauce, the pasta floated), a boat, a salad with warm eggplant in breadcrumbs (the salad "floated" in a fatty sauce) and finally French fries, which turned out to be very salty!
We are not happy with the food, but the atmosphere and the view are beautiful.

But there is a BUT! Even Moscow cafes are more expensive! And the pipe from the kitchen goes directly into the sea, which ruined the beach. There is a smell from the water of food waste. Previously, we swam only on the Veranda beach. Now we go to the Zamostyanka.

I had a rest in Gudauta in early September. I liked the "Veranda" very much for its location: an open hall with a view of the sea, there is a glazed hall, several tents, tables on the embankment. But, of course, it's better to choose the main hall, because there are awesome musicians with a luxurious repertoire almost every evening! It is clear that these are professionals! I almost fell in love with their charismatic drummer)) We enjoyed it... The atmosphere is very cozy. If it's chilly, you can ask for blankets. The serving of the dishes is fast enough. The portions are not small. Everything we ate was delicious: fried cheese with strawberry jam, cauliflower with cheese... I really liked the chocolate fondue. Prices, of course, are more expensive than in the dining room, but everyone decides what to choose... The waitresses who served us - Diana and Nina - are very nice girls: not a single rude or disparaging word. Good girls! I will miss Gudauta and the Veranda. And I recommend it to everyone! And there will always be dissatisfied, no one has canceled the human factor yet...

The most terrible place I've ever been in all my 34 years of life.
Moreover, if there are minimal complaints about the kitchen, then there are so many questions about the service that I would like to discuss them not with the administrator of the institution, but with the management!
We got (on our head) Roman the waiter, who ran past our table with a wildly preoccupied look, showing with all his appearance that he did not need to be called, things were going through the roof without us. However, after coping with this awkward moment and suppressing a sense of guilt, we nevertheless turned Roman's gaze to our humble persons so that he would accept our order. Roman started to issue a system failure immediately, reported only 20 minutes later that one of the hot menu items ordered by us was in the stack. We follow further. The serving of the dishes was incorrect: first, snacks were PARTIALLY served, after that it was also PARTIALLY hot - so that some of the guests at our table sat slurping, watching others eat.
Next, Roman was asked which of the pork positions to choose, he of course advised the most expensive, which in fact turned out not to be chewy. To this misunderstanding, we called Roman, who, with an absolutely imperturbable look, said: oh, try another piece, you just got such a wiry one.…
When ordering a salmon steak, Roman did not specify the final yield by weight of this dish and only after receiving the receipt, when everything was eaten, we learned that the weight of each steak was allegedly 320 grams, which was also CLEARLY not true, but we could not verify this, to our great regret, otherwise this fish would have gone straight Back to the kitchen at the expense of our disrespectful Romance!
I will not describe the leapfrog of serving sauces, snacks and pita bread to meat (all this was served at the very end, when the meat was already eaten)..
The chocolate fondue for the child, which we ordered at the very beginning, was not served even after 1.5 hours of our stay in this institution. Having clarified the degree of readiness of Roman's dessert, we were convinced that everything would be served soon, however, according to the rolled-up scenario, half an hour after this dialogue, he informed us that the dessert had just begun to cook, suggesting
that it should be abandoned. We ask you to bring an invoice, upon examination of which it turns out that Roman, counting on a visiting sucker, included 2 extra items from the hot menu that we did not order. Well, purely by chance, as he explained to us later ... in short, the impressions of the institution are the most terrible. We wanted to have a good time, but in the end we left in complete indignation and with the feeling that we were doused with a tub of slop. I wish this institution to pay more attention to what the staff is doing and respect its guests. I strongly do not recommend anyone to visit at the moment, if you do not want to spoil your impression of your vacation.
