I returned from the tour, Belarus in 7 days, from 19-25.10.24. I was surprised how clearly they work on timing. There are no delays or delays anywhere. Everything is organized. The guide, Georgy Chaushnik, is a professional in his field. He is also an adherent of precise timing. The only thing I would like to add is the presence of information about modern Belarus, because this tour implies only ancient history.
The best guide, Mikhail Lukashenya, is just a walking encyclopedia, you can listen to it, 5 days in Belarus from September 8 to 12 flew by like one day. I really liked it: atmospheric, beautiful, delicious
I think that I will express the general opinion of the entire group traveling with the "Western Tract" - "Around the World" on the 10-day route "Land under white wings" from 08/10/2024. The organization of the tour causes only indignation. After leaving Moscow, we were informed that the designated guide-escort would not be able to go. We were taken to Arkhipovka together with another group on a large comfortable bus, where we were met by a minibus with a luggage trailer. At the same time, the description of the tour indicated that the minibus is provided only to a group of less than 17 people, there were 17 of us. The bus is not adapted for tourist trips, the distance between the rows is very small, the seats behind the driver generally have almost no legroom, I had to go with my legs tucked in. At the same time, the crossings are long, up to 600 km. There was no view in the back seats. The air conditioner couldn't cope, the back rows were suffering from stuffiness. The meeting attendant (Vera) does not have certification, she does not have information, justified by the fact that she was sent temporarily, for 2 days. So there was no inspection of the Kremlin in Smolensk. They dropped me off near a piece of wall, told me to walk around. We asked for a ride to the Assumption Cathedral, we searched for information on the Internet ourselves. Naturally, there was no travel information on the route. Vera was replaced in Minsk by Alla, who is certified, but leads excursions only in Minsk. We looked at Minsk, but they sent us to Belaz alone, only with a driver. So we drove in silence, asking the driver questions about what we were passing. After leaving Minsk, there is again no information on the route, sometimes we talk about the Belarusian move. The driver expressed dissatisfaction that he was sent with our group, constantly trying to find a replacement on the phone. However, all the escorts and drivers said that they were informed at the last moment that they had to go with us. In Brest, the escort was changed again, while no one warned us that we were leaving immediately after breakfast, since Alla left in the evening, Natalia appeared when breakfast was already on. They had to run for their suitcases in 10 minutes, because the excursion to the Brest Fortress was about to begin. Natalia also does not have a certificate as a guide, so she does not have information on the route. But she's the only one who even tried to smooth things over, seeing our outrage. By this time, the travelers themselves had stocked up on travel guides to Belarus, and they read for everyone during their travels. Natalia also tried to find something on the Internet. The Brest tour was truncated, they did not show the pedestrian street, the Greenhouse, the monument 1000 Brest ... In Grodno, the local guide was in a hurry for the next tour, so he shortened the tour by half an hour, of course, they could not see everything. In Lida, Natalia had to arrange on the go to have at least a half-hour tour of the castle, while we ourselves had to buy entrance tickets, although the program included an inspection of the Lida Castle. There was no declared excursion in Novogrudok, since Natalia is not a tour guide, she was in Grodno and in Novogrudok for the first time in her life.
I also want to warn you about the hotel in Pinsk. Pripyat looks like a flophouse. Dirty, smelling of tobacco, dirty bed linen in some rooms, no cupboards, somewhere there was not even a nail to hang clothes.
Of course, there were also positive aspects. The work of some local guides: Alexandra at Belaz, Svetlana in Motola, a stunning folklore ensemble there, a sweet girl at the Nature Museum in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, Sergei in Pinsk, in love with his city, Dmitry in Mogilev… Thank them very much! To the drivers who returned us to Moscow, to the two Alexanders, who at least tried to adjust the air conditioner and start the TV set-top box, however unsuccessfully, many thanks. It is a pity that the expectations of the trip were not fulfilled. Almost all the members of the group read positive reviews about the 7-day route and excellent guides, and thought that the 10-day route would please them even more.
We wrote a claim to the host company "Western Tract", signed it, but I'm afraid it's unlikely to be published in the reviews. I would like the travel agency to learn a lesson from this situation. I am completing my review. The company reviewed the claim and, together with an apology, refunded 30% of the tour price. I am glad that they value their reputation and admit mistakes.
She recently returned from a 10-day tour of Belarus "Land under white Wings". I bought the tour from a Moscow agency, but for some reason two Belarusian companies "Western Tract" and "Around the World" were listed in the documents that were given to us at the beginning of the tour. However, the guides accompanying us in the hotels called the travel agency "Around the world". The tour was announced a long time ago, I personally paid for it back in May, but in August it felt like they were putting together a tour on the go. We were taken from Moscow in a large bus along with part of the group traveling on a 6-day tour, and we were supposed to be separated in Smolensk. According to the program, we had an inspection of the Smolensk Kremlin. When we were driven past Smolensk, I thought that the program had been changed. But no, we were taken 30 km outside Smolensk and there, on some village street, two groups were separated. I emphasize that it was not a parking lot or a gas station. That is, after more than 3 hours of moving, people who continued the route did not have the opportunity to visit the toilets while we unloaded our luggage. And then we found out that the tour guide assigned to the tour would not be able to go. We rode to Smolensk on a comfortable tourist bus, and a minibus with a luggage trailer was waiting for us. A group of 17 people could hardly fit in. There was not enough legroom on the bus, there was no view for those who were sitting in the back rows, the air conditioner was working poorly (part of the tour was held at temperatures over 30 degrees!). We learned about the non-working TV later during long trips. The meeting attendant (Vera) said that she did not have the information and she was appointed for only 2 days. Then we were taken back to Smolensk! I've been on excursions to Smolensk several times, but we've never been taken to that section of the wall. When I asked: where is the eternal flame and the "normal wall" that is shown to tourists. The answer was: "We don't know the other wall." It's good that we were taken to the Smolensk Cathedral as a bonus. It is impossible to be in the city and not see this miracle! Then we continued on our way to Vitebsk and again drove an unfortunate additional 30 km. That is, we artificially extended the route by 90 km that day. But that was just the beginning! On the second day in Vitebsk, we were not given free time and reduced excursions to museums. Because we had postponed the National Dinner tour for that day and had to arrive in Minsk early.
In the morning in Minsk, we were surprised when the group went down to the lobby at the appointed time, there was neither a bus nor a guide. After waiting for more than 10 minutes, they called the number on duty, and received an answer: it will be soon. Alla, a Minsk guide, arrived and said she would accompany us to Brest. By the way, Alla was late the next day, and when she lived with us in the same hotel. After arriving in Minsk, not only the guide was changed, but also the driver, who was very unhappy that he was sent along the route with us, constantly called somewhere and demanded a replacement. His dissatisfaction was also expressed in the fact that in the early days he simply opened the luggage trailer and left, leaving the tourists to pack their own suitcases. Let me remind you that it was not the trunk at the bottom of the bus, but the trailer, where it is not easy to place suitcases. It was only after the tourists' comments that he kindly began to help with the luggage. Alla had previously led tours only in Minsk, so there was no information when moving, except for conversations about the Belarusian move. We drove mostly in silence, occasionally asking questions.
After taking us to Brest, Alla left, telling us to be at breakfast at 7:30 and not telling who the guide would be and what time the departure for the tour would be. The next day, the group came down a few minutes before breakfast, thinking that we would see our guide and find out what time the departure would be. But another surprise was waiting for us, no one met us downstairs. When we had breakfast, the guide came up and said that in 10 minutes we need to be on the bus with our suitcases. Then Natalia warned us that she had previously specialized in Western Europe and Belarus, had not taken the group and had never been to Grodno and would watch it with us! Here, some tourists have already bought travel guides to Belarus and read aloud information about the city we are going to while the bus was moving. By the way, Natalia, seeing our accumulated dissatisfaction, tried to smooth out the negative at least a little and improve something. She arranged an excursion to the Lida Castle, although only an inspection was announced, in Novogrudok, while we were having lunch, she ran to the news agency and got maps of the city for us (an excursion was announced according to the program, but the guide herself was there for the first time). According to the tour program, we were supposed to have two nights in Grodno. And it gave us the opportunity to take a little break from going out every day with our things and take a walk around the beautiful city. But immediately after the August Canal, we were taken to spend the night in the city of Lida, where there is no entertainment except a closed castle. And we hardly found a place to have dinner, as many cafes and shops were already closed.
Separately, I would like to warn you about the Pripyat hotel in Pinsk. The only advantage is that it is located next to a pedestrian street in the city center. It does not even pull at the stated 2 stars. The rooms were dirty, there were no wardrobes, the plumbing was falling apart, the elevators were only working on the rise, the corridors were smoky, although smoking is prohibited in hotels in Belarus.
In Grodno, the local guide shortened the tour because he was in a hurry to join another group, and we saw only part of what was stated in the program. In Novogrudok, we had to make do with maps and information from the Internet.
There were also positive moments. I would like to mention the local guides Valentina in Vitebsk, the guide Svetlana and the folklore ensemble in Motola, the girl in the museum in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, Sergei in Pinsk and Dmitry in Mogilev. Thanks to them! Thanks also to the two Alexanders, the drivers who brought us back to Moscow. They tried to adjust the air conditioner and adjust the operation of the TV (unfortunately, unsuccessfully).
It is a pity that we were so unlucky with the organization of the tour. There were a lot of good reviews about short tours, and the guide Egor, who was with us on the way to Smolensk and at the "National Dinner", gave a lot of interesting information along the way. Unlike those guides who accompanied us on the tour.
I want to share my impressions about the tour "THE WHOLE of Belarus in 7 days (by bus from Moscow) 7 days/6h from 09.09.2023 to 15.09.2023
In general, the trip is well organized, everything is clear on time, hotels, food are all excellent.
But we did not learn anything about modern Belarus, about its people, achievements, what the Belarusian people are living now, a lot of unnecessary historical information and not a word about today, Our guide Chaushnik Georgy is very literate, well-read, who knows the history of his country, but we are simple travelers and we are not going to write dissertations on history We just wanted to get to know your country better, walk through the streets of beautiful cities, but unfortunately we did not have such an opportunity. We arrived at the hotel late at night tired , what kind of walks are there , and in the morning we ran back to the bus and on the way .A lot of time is devoted to castles and temples with detailed stories of history, why???? I would like to wish you to review the tour program, make it easier, as it were, people, and mostly pensioners, just go to relax, look at your beautiful country, but in fact some kind of race turned out, we run and run all day, and even we need to warn in advance what to eat on the way from Moscow to Minsk is not where, a 2-hour tour of Smolensk on the way back is also not needed , the 700 km road is so tedious , so another 2 hours in Smolensk, That's my opinion and wishes to the organizers of the tour
My workplace!
The company, which has been on the RB market for many years, is a strong and friendly team, always tries to cope with the task as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Great company, the staff is polite. They will pick up a tour according to their desire and capabilities))) You can buy a ticket, get a visa, book a hotel almost anywhere in the world. There is a tour of Belarus for the guests of our republic.
