It's not a bad airport. The new international flight terminal surprised with its scale. But I would like to add more greens. And so I think it will be fine when everything is completely filled
A small convenient airport, there are currency exchangers, a luggage room, a cafe, a very good dining room. The airport's Wi-Fi is connected only to local numbers, but there is an information desk on the ground floor where I got a free Wi-Fi connection)
We have built a separate hall for international departures, finally there will be more space for departing passengers
They are building a parking lot for cars. It was worth selling the airport to the Turks, as changes began
I was very pleased with the new terminal. There is no security checkpoint at the entrance to the building, which speeds up the passage (9 minutes have passed from the entrance to the terminal building to the border crossing and inspection!!! Just a record).
I was very pleased with the international airport terminal, which is completely incomparable with the neighboring one. Bright, spacious, modern, there are several cafes, now a couple more are under construction, duty free with an average selection of goods
There are no questions about the international one, but the domestic ones were a little disappointed, they fit into one waiting terminal for 3 flights, but the room is equipped for only one.
Very hospitable and attentive staff, it struck me that 90% of young people are under 30 years old, a new huge terminal is being built by Turkish investors. Among the disadvantages are the lack of parking, very little space and arrogant taxi drivers who charge double fares, taking advantage of the fact that visitors do not have local cellular SIM cards!
It's a little cramped and small for such a passenger flow, but everything is nice and neat. The construction of a new terminal is being completed. Everything will be fine
It's a great airport. Only the old building would have to be patched up a bit - the toilets would have to be repaired. Storage rooms are very expensive!
The airport is divided into two sectors, international and domestic, but at the moment the parking area and the barrier are being renovated and expanded, which brings some inconvenience to arrivals and parking. I think the renovation will be over soon. Therefore, 4 stars
The building is new, but there are the same queues at security and passport control. There are still few cafes and vending machines with food, but I think they will open. The Internet is bad, and when milking foreigners you need to have a SIM card, which is inconvenient.
A new terminal has been built, it is very decent, there are no crowds. But there's trouble with the cafe! There is almost nowhere to eat. One cafe and several pubs-all break into this cafe. The food is there for three.
The meeting place cannot be changed! Now there are two of them (international and domestic flights). Parking and seating still need to be worked on. Polite staff.
The airport certainly does not meet modern standards(! Everything is old, there is no navigation! We flew to Istanbul, we had to go through the check-in desk. The queue was "wild", moving extremely slowly! All the time, someone was let down without waiting in line. We had pre-purchased paid seats. So the employee transplanted us at his discretion! The waiting rooms are also so-so. But duty free pleased you! We bought our favorite Arba Wine there)!
As there was a problem with parking, the building itself is quite old, we will see after the opening of the new terminal. In my opinion, the traffic pattern on the territory is very poorly organized and very much infuriated by police officers who very skillfully use this traffic pattern, which forces those who do not know to violate the markings, and here, without any hesitation, these valiant guards "work".
The modern airport is small but still modern. There are many coffee shops. If you want to overeat more or less tasty and expensive, then go to the first floor in the shopping center of the right wing there is a dining room. All coffee shops have approximately an olin check. On the second floor in the right wing there is a large cafe bar, but if we arrived late, then the waiters did not have much patience in general, they were bored and did not see our gestures. Cafes are not cheap. But nevertheless, they asked me to pay with a transfer.
If you are lucky, you will get to the airport when there are no queues for passport control and security screening. But if not, then you will stand in queues for a long time. When boarding, the information on the scoreboard at the exits may not correspond to reality.
The business room is from e jouk. )
In Soviet times, it was a large and good airport in the Kazakh SSR. I liked going to the barbershop there. In recent years, under the leadership of Turkish citizens, it has not been particularly good. Salaries, according to the airport employees themselves, are not enough. The amount of work is large, in specific areas, but you don't get enough. Well, there is still a lot to say on this topic. The "frame" for reviews is ending.
For such a megalopolis, such a small airport and no longer young. There are not enough sleeves for everyone. Inside, the trade facilities leave much to be desired, especially with such a high price tag for services.
The airport lacks a competent transformation, they should change the focus on tenants who use the rented space incorrectly. Therefore, you should redraw the layout.
Parking is hellish, but the price is like in a premium mall. The new terminal is inconvenient on the ribbon escalator. The suitcase practically hangs on a ribbon and rolls down until you get to the second floor.
nice little airport. at the exit there is a currency exchanger with satisfactory rates and three counters of local mobile operators: Beeline, Activ and Kcell
They are slowly doing something in front of the airport, it is clear that there are few cars and too many people, they need to expand globally, cosmetic options will not help
The airport seemed very "compact". There are very few places where you can have a snack and sit. In general, everything is there, but we imagined Almaty airport differently.
It was built very well, there are places that are still being repaired, but this is temporary. The most surprising thing was that we received the luggage after 3 minutes, and did not wait 40-50 minutes as in the old port.
Now there are two airport buildings - international and local, and it has only gotten worse. There are several gates in the building of local departures at one door. Because of this, there are stampedes, crowds of people. This needs to be fixed, the organization is clearly lame
The airport is small, we flew in June, there are road repairs on the street, traffic jams, unclear check-in, if there is no luggage, then you can go past the check-in desk, but if there is an online check-in, the main thing is to have tickets on your phone, if you print it 500 tenge (100₽) although they do it for free at the airports of Moscow and Sochi!
There is no business lounge under the every lounge program, only for international flights and a separate terminal for them
The location of the terminals is very strange, there are few signs. Tourists from China literally had to be led by the hand, because it is not clear where to check their luggage. Our flight was delayed for two hours, the airport staff do not have information, they just send everyone to the first floor, no one is accompanied. In short, 1 out of 10.
There was an extreme time in the old terminal, in general, the airport for 3 people has a lot of passengers, the flow is huge, stuffy and there are very few seats in the waiting room! There is always a traffic jam at the entrance .
There are quite a few places in the international hall where you can buy a snack. The order is more or less maintained. The aesthetics of the design of the decoration leaves much to be desired, especially inside. In general, the airport's services and infrastructure were working normally.
It's great for the capital. Prices in public catering establishments turned out to be lower than in the city. Good security. It is advisable to increase the passenger delivery area by road
The parking lot is full anyway - there is a new playground, but there are no signs. The greeters are standing in a draft - there are no normal waiting places. Lots of coffee) there are storage rooms
Get ready to face the confusion of a large number of greeters at the exit, to the hum of cars, and to the fact that you may not understand each other with a taxi driver.
Excellent staff work. Delicious coffee and desserts in the coffee shop opposite the entrance on the ground floor!
But there is a small parking lot, which makes it difficult to get in and out.
There is not much space in the waiting rooms.
We are very glad that a new international terminal has finally been launched in Almaty. Now passport control passes without problems, and it has become much more pleasant to fly in general.
The airport is not big, quite cozy, suitcases are packed normally. Baggage collection is very slow, we waited 40 minutes. Taxi via Yandex 5 minutes waiting time.
Of course, the old airport requires expansion and renovation. To the sleeves, of which only 3 cannot be supplied by all aircraft. But the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Of course , professionals and kind people. And Almaty is one of the most cozy cities in the world...
An interesting airport feels like it's in a barn, but not an international airport. At the airport there are shops, cafes, stalls with drinks and tea in which prices are many times more expensive. There are scales where you can check the weight of bags. The staff is not very friendly to me. There are restrooms. There are many places of expectation. If you arrive, do not take a taxi from the airport, they inflate prices, it is better to order a taxi.
The airport is old and small. There are a lot of people crammed in. Employees of the service sector: the information center in particular on the second floor, the currency exchange office on the first floor are rude and tactless, just like saleswomen, hairdressers, etc. of Soviet times.Wi-Fi is free. It's so cunningly written. In fact, you need a local SIM card to get this "free" wi-fi. Because you have to enter the code - the last four digits of the number from which you will receive a call during registration. But the call will never be received on the Russian number.
The biggest plus is that it is small, it does not take 2 hours to walk from one wing to another. Everything is there: shops, cafes, enough places to wait for departure
After the renovation, the areas in the internal terminal are used irrationally: a huge hall with check-in counters and a complete lack of seats in the departure lounge after passing the inspection
Friendly staff, there is a smoking room at takeoff, this is a super huge plus, especially for long-distance flights. There is a wonderful cafeteria on the ground floor, very tasty and affordable
Parking is paid, the airport is small, check-in to the airport is paid, inside you can buy souvenirs, sweets, magnets from the Republic of Kazakhstan, you can have a snack. 2 departure and departure halls - international and domestic flights.
Almaty airport, alas, does not correspond to such passenger traffic. There was no designer inside and just a person with some kind of taste. It is very dear to me, but it is so sad that people arriving for the first time see the Old uncomfortable and very crowded airport . Plus, a taxi on Yandex costs 2500-3500 tenge to the city (center) . Taxi drivers are still working , wringing 20-30 thousand for visitors , before my eyes one of them tried to throw an elderly couple who arrived from Frankfurt . Again, repairs in the parking lot lead to such confusion. The organization is just terrible... and this is the international gate, the most beautiful and beloved
Cities !!!
