Everything is modern and convenient. There are no questions. By the way, it is quite unusual that there are no frames and security checks at the entrance to the airport building.
We arrived and flew from this airport, a very convenient airport from Moscow and Vietnam, they flew like a new one, they have a new international airport, everything is very normal
The airport is very convenient and the staff is friendly. I liked the dining room, it's not expensive and the choice is always very huge. In the morning, if you arrive, there is always a delicious porridge.
With a heavy suitcase, you can enter the airport without straining, there is a coffee shop with decent coffee and food on the second floor. But after entering the check-in area, the quest begins. If your flight is not on the scoreboard, this is not an indicator that it is not there. You need to run from window to window and find out where the registration for your flight is. But the waiting area is sooooo cramped and not cozy. Please create more comfortable departure conditions.
In the summer, when we went on vacation, there were still a lot of imperfections, but everything was clean and tidy everywhere. They could not pass the control for a long time, the system hung up and the queue was very large
Elevators and escalators are only at one end of the terminal. Of the 2 elevators, one did not work, the other had cracked floor tiles, the feeling that a decently used tile was laid. In the women's toilet there is not a single hook for bags, etc. There are no chairs in the waiting room, only near the toilet. In general, everything is as always and everywhere in the KZ through one well-known soft spot - "everything for people"
We were flying out of the international airport. Air Astana. There is no lounge for business class, there is no separate queue, there are rude girls at the gate. The renovation is... so-so. Someone compares it to Istanbul Airport, are you serious???
The only plus is that the toilets were clean.
The airport is wonderful! And the buses are so beautiful! It's great and great there! The checks are very good as I can see for myself! Can I add something?
It is small, there are not enough seats, there are only a couple of cafes, everything is very modest, currency exchange is not around the clock, there were flight delays in both directions, only books taken with them helped out.
In general, everything is good, the staff is polite. But local people are trying to rip off money on everything (for example, print tickets for 2000 tenge or take them to the right corridor for another 2 thousand, etc.) The airport itself is clean, there is a smoking area inside.
I was here for the first time, it is very inconvenient that the baggage check is on the second floor, and for departure you need to go down to the first
Due to the fact that when you are off the road and tired, it is very inconvenient and there are not enough places to relax.
The conditions for departure and arrival are normal. Electronic counters are working, there are cafeterias and shops. The price is reasonable. But the parking lot is constantly occupied
It's a beautiful airport, everything is simple and clear, it didn't take long to find anything. There are many good cafes inside the airport, clean toilets. There were practically no queues.
A small convenient airport has everything you need. small shops, cafes, an exchange office, a waiting room. It was very difficult to take a cat to Russia to pass veterinary control for a very long time, they searched for a veterinary inspector, did not answer the phone, even went to look at the hotel, none of the staff could help. It's a little hard to find a parking space.
The most important thing is the people
Asylzhan Bidauletov is an attentive, customer-oriented employee who demonstrates and sets a high bar in the service by his example. Thank you for your work
The airport is old and small. A luggage storage is something - a grandmother takes the price from the ceiling, who looks at you appraisingly. There are few seats in the departure hall for departing passengers, jostling and poor ventilation. The airport is clearly unable to cope with passenger traffic and needs to be upgraded.
I recently flew from Almaty to Astana on a plane and a plane.
Inside the airport, prices for drinks and food are in the sky. What is expensive. The government is thinking of nothing but robbing people.
He had already set the price that came to mind. A glass of coffee, which costs 200 tenge in Saudi Arabia, will cost us 2000 tenge in Kazakhstan.
If you drink 150 tenge of tea in Turkey, buy 1800 tenge of tea at the airport in Kazakhstan. What a madman wants to relax in Kazakhstan. A person who came to the Golden Horde market said that he would go and eat potatoes for 300 tenge.
When the new international airport was opened, it became more or less convenient and better now it is necessary to solve parking in general, it is very inconvenient to find a place to stop by and leave
A very decent airport. Everything is clean, in general it is clear where to go. There are no complaints in general, but prices bite hard. This is very noticeable against the background of other airports.
The airport is good, it went through all the frames quickly
One bad thing is that they don't write the boarding gate on the ticket
And you have to look for everything on the scoreboard yourself and run around to find out very big inconveniences in this
I missed my flight because of this
Although I arrived and registered in advance
I often fly at Russian airports more and more informed
I did not like the fact that in such a huge territory there is not a single simple shop where you can buy a snack, only cafes and machines. There are few information boards. Well, people helped me get my bearings.
In the international terminal, we really missed the usual online catering format, such as McDonald's, and the possibility of settlements in dollars. Be prepared that you will have to pay in tenge or euros in the waiting area at the gates. We were not ready for this, and our transit through this airport turned out to be quite difficult
A new airport, not yet inhabited. There are few recreation areas, cafes, and restaurants. Customs, border guards, and security checks are carried out quickly, and the services work well. There were no rubles for exchange in the exchanger.
It was in September 2022. Everything is convenient. Customs and border control passed very quickly. The airport staff is very friendly, the customs and border control staff are friendly enough.
When will we have a beautiful and large airport?(((( It's a shame, even in Kutaisi, the airport is big and new. And they still won't build it in Almaty. It seems that the opening was official, but I arrived from 15/06 and nothing... an empty hall in the dust, at first it was not clear where I was at all, so I couldn't find a Yandex taxi.
Almaty Airport is a key air hub in Central Asia, which offers a high level of service and comfort for passengers. Modern terminals, an efficient security system and a variety of services make it a pleasant place to wait and transfer. Located in a convenient location, the airport provides convenient transport accessibility to the city and its surroundings.
Problems with parking, with waiting areas. Clean, and expensive, as in all airports. The staff is polite and helpful. But, of course, there are characters from passengers and visitors, you are already amazed at the level of culture, but the airport is not to blame here.
Some advantages)), convenient, free, clean, bright, there is a cafe where you can spend your free time, the toilet is also clean, parking is super!!! There is a smoking area👍
A small airport, you can have a fairly inexpensive snack, which is rare for an airport. The restrooms are clean enough. The luggage storage is very convenient, we saw the city without suitcases.
The airport has a developed infrastructure: there is a cafe, an opportunity to drop off luggage, a waiting room, friendly staff, assistance in registration. There is no WI-Fi!!! To get to the Bus from the airport to the city, it is better to go to the driveway, not far away.
The airport is very small for such a large number of passengers. Not very convenient. There is little space for passengers to wait. Many people wait for several hours standing up. Although, of course, for national reasons, it is exotic for some.
No luck with the arrival and departure times. Upon arrival, they are overpowered by annoying private taxi drivers who have raised prices to the skies, catching visitors who are not local.
There is a crush before departure, it is not clear where to register with those who already have online registration, where to go with luggage, having received a seat, we move to customs inspection in unknown ways ...
Very disorganized
The new parking is not convenient, small cars are fine, parking a little longer is a problem. It used to be more convenient to park with a Christmas tree.
The airport is large, there are various footcores. It is better to eat and drink before going to the waiting area, because the prices there are astronomical
I fly often. The domestic flight area is always crowded. In May of this year, 2024, there was a terrible queue and a crush at the inspection. Several flights took off at the same time, there were a lot of people, all irritated and sweaty. So come in advance, drink soothing tea, you will have time to fly away :)
If the airport is the main gate to the city, then it is a very bad gate, repairs are being done everywhere, and too long, there are never parking spaces, it will not work to drive in and leave without hassle, there are very few waiting or resting places inside the building, people are forced to loiter from corner to corner waiting for a delayed flight, sit down Nowhere to go. The opening of a new terminal for international flights was beautifully announced, but in fact all flights land the old-fashioned way, in the center of the field, then passengers are taken by buses to the old building, having a new one with corridors for receiving aircraft. A show-off in one word, but in fact - nothing
To be honest, I did not expect that the former capital of Kazakhstan would meet me with such a neglected airport. Even in Volgograd, the airport is noticeably more comfortable.
But I'll start with the pros. The main thing is that I quickly went through all the formalities: inspection, customs - in general, there are fewer problems than in Russia. Prices in airport cafes are also moderate: a glass of tea 400 tenge - 80 rubles.
The first thing that surprised me was that there is no security at the entrance. Locals say that on domestic lines it is generally possible to escort outsiders to the plane without boarding passes, passport control, etc.
Secondly, they can only get into the business lounge with an invitation from the airline - apparently to the owners of priority service cards. For money, as in Sheremetyevo, it will not work.
The third is the crowding in the waiting room in the green area and the lack of decent cafes here. Tea is only in glasses, food is only warmed up. It's cheap, really. But at about the same time, 3 flights took off - to India, China and Russia. There were barely enough seats to sit, the tables were mostly occupied and all standing, but shaky.
In short, there is no need to hurry here - you will pass the inspection and customs quickly, but it is better to wait for the flight in the city.
It is also important that the parking lot is cramped, there are no places, cars are parked at random, so it's better to take a taxi so that there are no problems.
I saw the frame of the new airport, maybe in a few years it will be beautiful here, but for now - welcome to the 90s.
It's a great airport. I'm a little tired over the years, but still. And the parking is normal! And there are carts to carry luggage. Passport control was quickly passed.
A noisy, small, well-equipped airport. There are also economy food and more expensive cafes and bistros. Capsule hotels are also in place. There are many windows in the international terminal, the control was quickly passed
Upon arrival , I was waiting for something more from the airport. Simply. Clear. Wi-Fi is not working, stock up on the Internet in advance. Russian bank cards are not accepted. Yandex taxi works, it is very convenient. Overall, a solid four.
Small, crowds of people, queues. The old terminal is terribly inconvenient. I have already flown through the new one once, it is much more pleasant, but I have not yet formed a clear impression. Dutik is weak, there are only 2 food court areas, Costa cofe is now, instead of Starbucks…
There is literally one free space in the parking lot. There are very long queues in the second terminal, I haven't been in the first one since the construction of the second one. After registration, there is a security check and passport control, but the fences go in different directions like a pinball machine. And again, the queues are huge. There are no drinking fountains anywhere, you have to buy water for 500 tenge in vending machines. Chips for 3500, don't expect snacks at the airport. Maximum in aatomats
