The restaurant "Balcony", if you are in Gudauta, you will definitely visit here, at least once.
We've been more than 10 times.
Great interior, very stylish. The location and the view are something worth a visit.
Our tourists on vacation are used to being owed everything and urgently. From there, there is such a division in the comments, for 1 star and 5. With what attitude you came, this is how your trip to this institution will take place.
There is definitely something to work on here, but not everything is terrible.
We tried a lot of different dishes on our first visits. Then they ordered only what they were sure of.
Meat was taken both in a frying pan, and sliced, and in the form of a barbecue. I don't recommend it.
Only the meat salad wasn't bad.
The Abkhazian cuisine was not very good here either, maybe because there was something to compare it with.
Very tasty boats, all kinds. I recommend it 100%.
The most delicious Tom Yam, it tasted the same every time, just excellent.
Beer snacks are also good.
Cocktails are good, it wasn't bad.
The prices are highly inflated. Not all dishes match their prices.
Waitress girls are not as terrible as they are described. I saw how our tourists look and how they talk, with what arrogance, they write comments. You need to be positive and you will like everything.
The girls really have a lot of work to do, but they pay due attention to everyone.
All are normal except for one, when we asked for a cocktail tip, she told us for 5 minutes how she always drinks one cocktail. It happens both before and during the shift, which she recommended to us. There is a great lack of a hostess girl who will meet guests, offer seats and give out a menu.
There is also a lack of a restroom in the institution itself. What's out there now is some kind of laugh.
We always sat outside, but because of the spoiled weather, one day we decided to sit in the hall. While at the table, we saw a red-haired Stasik. We decided to move to the street after all. And this was our last visit to the Balcony.
The girl who presents live music there, it's better to spend money on salaries for hostesses instead of her. She constantly spoiled the impression of the evening with her screams.
The concept is not clear. Why is she even needed there?

It's a cool place!!! A good varied menu, very tasty! In the absence of light due to a thunderstorm in all of Abkhazia, the balcony was working almost at full capacity, we stocked up on generators, well done!!!The staff is great, the girls are running around, trying to bring everything to everyone quickly.
Of the cons: there are a lot of stray dogs that walk around your table waiting for treats, but for this a fine of 5000 rubles.

The view is awesome! Incredibly beautiful!
That's where the advantages ended. The service is zero. First, you need to wait a long time for the menu. Then try to figure out what is hidden under unfamiliar names. The boat is not tasty. Do not take Chakhokhbili! Especially from turkey - it's just disgusting. Dry cooked turkey, filled with nut sauce, cold, most likely from a purchased package.
There is no dressing in the vegetable salad. However, the waiter proved to us that it was there, it was funny. The toilet is not in the building.

On the first day of rest, we decided to have lunch at this cafe and it was a mistake!.
The location is excellent, overlooking the sea, the Windows open and the breeze blows pleasantly. There is no smoking room, guests smoke everywhere, which is unpleasant.
The menu was brought quickly and forgot about us, they met and courted their friends and relatives. There were no recommendations on the menu, of course, the questions that arose were answered. We ordered chicken noodles, pork with vegetables and a boat. We waited a long time
Noodles: broth with the addition of a cube! Lots of carrots, solid carrots and separately cooked, not salted chicken breast. The pieces of meat are large. The chicken is over - dried . Edible, but not tasty!

The potatoes were cooked separately, without salt.
Pork died in the last century, it was lying in the freezer all this time, boiled, again without salt, to the state of the sole (how can you cook pork like that!!!)
All this was combined together, zucchini and eggplant were added. As a result: it is not possible to eat pork (dry and hard), zucchini and eggplant have turned into mashed potatoes. I only ate potatoes. This masterpiece costs 450 rubles.
The boat is classic:
a business card, national food, you should cook with your eyes closed, it's delicious, but not here!
Dough: water + flour, you haven't heard about muffins. The cheese is Adyghe, diluted with water and flour, they forgot about suluguni. Lots of butter. The result was pita bread with cheese. They took it with them, cut it up, and the cheese spilled out. Disappointment!
10% for the service, it is written in the menu.
It all cost 2000 rubles. They left hungry and in a bad mood.
I will not recommend this cafe to anyone.

This place was praised by everyone we met. We decided to visit, we really wanted to have a delicious meal in Gudauta. No one met us at the entrance, we walked around the hall to choose seats, sat down at the table, a waitress came up to us, who got up from the table, put down the menu and left. I also had to familiarize myself with the menu alone, and the composition of the dishes was searched on the Internet. But a little later, we were accompanied by a cockroach that ran across our table. After such a "hospitable" reception, we decided to make a choice in favor of another cafe.

A very good place, when we were there, almost all the tables were occupied. Despite the workload of the waitresses, they served quickly enough, remembered who ordered what and brought dishes at the same time (this is a huge plus, because many establishments do not comply with this). The food was very tasty, the menu and the bar menu are very diverse. The only thing in one salad with crispy eggplants was a little eggplant and nuts. The music is good and cheerful. There is a desire to return there more than once, which we will do in the near future.

The bartender or the cook - I didn't look closely, but right at the entrance, where the checkout area with a screen was cursing mercilessly, which is unacceptable, of course, with visitors.
The waitresses are MEGA-unfriendly and arrogant, they are not happy at all with guests from the word,,at all,,.
They brought 2 identical menus with drinks instead of 2 different ones - with drinks and with food. I had to go and get what I needed myself.
At 11:50, they refused to cook scrambled eggs.. Like, the breakfast menu is no longer relevant.. I must have run out of eggs in the kitchen, I can't even imagine any other explanation.
They can't advise anything, they make incomprehensible grimaces... they've never heard of Customer orientation and Hospitality, apparently.
Napkins, spices didn't even bother to put on the table, OK! - I got up, took it myself from the next table, not proud.
The payment is made by transfer to the card PERSONALLY to the waitress... It's weird, okay.
The fact that 10% for ,,maintenance,, is automatically added to the calculation - you will find out directly during the calculation :Oh(
And it would be fine if it were present, this,,service,, is not a question of paying....but after all, for the fact that all the time I was in this institution I felt like the most unwanted guest in the world - I also have to pay, CLASS!
The toilet is antediluvian, the entrance is from the street, around the corner.. no paper, no soap, no hand dryer-NOTHING!
A Client was sleeping on a bench in the hall - very drunk and annoying ..he woke up, drank /ate what he ordered, talked about something of his own and on his own with everyone who did not want to communicate with him and continued to sleep ... untidy, in torn socks.. Another question is, is it possible?
I was served by Astanda, who was negative and arrogant.
A big plus is that I didn't get poisoned, although the meat in the hinkals was semi-raw, as it seemed to me ...
In general, it was amazing... the location is wonderful, a very beautiful place and how they managed to ruin the place with such initial data is a matter of questions...

About the "Balcony" I would like to start the review in this way: "there is no comrade for taste and color" and "everything is known in comparison." An institution at the price level with a claim to a restaurant. I will not categorically advise against the taste, but it was not tasty for me. I ate chanakhi, which I compare all chanakhi with, in a family Armenian cafe in Adler. It so happened that for me now this is the standard (subjectively of course). The vats in the "Balcony" are not delicious. Khachapuri impresses with its appearance. It tastes like disappointment again (again subjectively) . In a small family cafe in the same Gudauta, it is better and cheaper for my taste. Pasta carbonara also disappointed. And most importantly: sooo long service. There was a moment when I was ready to get up and leave without waiting for an order.

Yesterday we visited this institution and the impression was not very pleasant.
Let's start with the fact that we waited for the waiter for 20 minutes, at first just, and then calling to ourselves. The answer was received: "Your waiter will come to you now." But the waiter did not come up to us. One waitress actually screwed up her face when she was told to come to us. As a result, we managed to attract attention to ourselves, but then the reason for such a long wait surfaced - we came with plastic cups and they thought that we had already been served. 🤦♀️ I'm just wondering, does this place even sell something in a plastic cup? And even if I had already been served, can you no longer approach me?
If we continue to touch on the topic of customer orientation, then a mother and daughter were sitting at the next table. The child became ill and began to vomit. Mom and child left, but the dirty sofa and floor remained. I have no complaints about them, but I have complaints about the cleaners. Why during all this time that we spent there, no one came up to at least wipe the floor and pick up the soft substrate? Other people simply went to other places at the sight of this picture. Do you think there was a large flow of customers and the waiters were busy? No, they stood talking about their own almost the whole time that we spent there.
About the food. It's delicious, but the caesar salad is a little dry. By the way, we've been waiting for him for a long time too.
In total, two stars are purely for the view and the food, but the service is simply disgusting. Young waitresses look at others like servants if you call them. And try to call them - they walk around with headphones on, but they don't look around at all. There are two ways to catch a waiter here - wait for him to serve a nearby table or go into an institution and look there.
They also didn't give us the change. And it would seem okay, 17 rubles is not such a large amount, but sorry, they get 10% for the disgusting service, can I give the change to the end?
If you want to eat with a beautiful view and disgusting service, then you are definitely here.

The cafe is considered decent enough in the city, so we decided to go there.A big disadvantage at once is the lack of a toilet in the institution. The waiter sent it to the nearest city WS))) after visiting which you will no longer want to eat and drink. In the cafe, there is only the opportunity to wash your hands. We ordered a Caesar with chicken and a boat with an egg. The salad was so dry that the dressing was not even visible. The leaves of Peking cabbage were yellow in color, which is not acceptable. Chicken and croutons - three pieces each. A tiny pinch of cheese - certainly NOT parmesan and two slices of tomatoes, certainly NOT cherry. I liked the boat, although it seemed that the lower part of the dough, the one that should be a crust, was a little damp.

I'll put 4, unfortunately. The place is very beautiful, of course! We got here on the first day of rest. My daughter and I ordered rolls, mother khachapuri. I didn't like either of them, unfortunately..
We may be picky about food, but yes, we love it when it's delicious! Khachapuri is definitely not what it should be. Pizza was served with cheese, instead of the usual boat, and without an egg. Perhaps he happens to be like that, it's just unusual for us.
The sauce was very sour for the rolls. Perhaps because of this, the taste was spoiled. But, again, maybe someone likes this one. Unfortunately, we didn't like it.

Such a great location, sea view, but the service is at zero.
The kitchen is not exciting. The only thing I liked was the cheese boat. Satsivi brought tasteless ice cream, the trout was over-dried. And they also argued that everything was okay, that's how it should be. The waiter was offended like a girl.
"Live" music from the 00s, full of gloom and melancholy, does not suit this place at all. They sing tirelessly, I wanted to give money to sit in silence for a while and enjoy the evening. Street dogs roam around and vacuum up everything that has fallen off the table. I love animals, but it's inappropriate here.
Alas, neither the food nor the musical accompaniment correspond to the stated prices and specific characteristics of the institution.
It is not recommended to visit this place.

It's terrible! Only the dogs were fed.
If you just want to have a drink and dance, then you're here. But don't order food here! There were four of us, each ordered two different dishes, so there was nothing delicious out of 8 dishes!
They even managed to ruin a vegetable salad by pouring it with a ton of oil. In an olivier salad, half of the salad is carrots. Potatoes with cheese are unfinished, strong. In a frying pan with pork, the meat is hard and dry. The honey cake is dry, there was no impregnation at all. Lamb kebab is just creepy, it feels like the old ram died of natural causes, the kebab was cooked from it a week ago and warmed in the microwave, and also over-salted specifically. The kebab cost 600 rubles on the menu (honestly I don't remember if it was indicated per serving or per weight), but it cost 1800!!! rubles, it's a pity I didn't pay attention to its cost when calculating, I saw it already at home, which made me even more upset. To bring such a nightmare for such a price. The chefs of this institution urgently need to change their profession, food is not for them at all.
But the local dog was very pleased, she probably had never eaten so much meat at one time) but unfortunately we left hungry.
I do not advise you to spend your time and money in the balcony. There are much better establishments in Gudauta.

We didn't sit in the cafe, we took a takeaway. We ordered 2 servings of homemade pork kebab 600g, trout on coals 350g (1050₽), khachapuri closed, salad with crispy eggplant, vegetables on coals, fruit plate, cherry plum sauce for meat (100₽) - a total of 4750₽.
I think it's too expensive, so minus 1 point.
We waited 35 minutes, I also think it's a long time, the average cooking time for these dishes is 10-15 minutes.
Now about the dishes.
- The salad with crispy eggplant is just a bomb, the sweet sauce just goes into it perfectly. According to the composition that I tried, Chinese cabbage, eggplant, pine nuts, sesame, tomato. Rating 5
- the trout is very well cooked.

The floor is flooded with water or something else, I didn't even dare to go into it. Everything is dirty! The bright wrapper does not correspond to reality and the prices that are here. Include 10% for the service, which is at 0! If you want comfort and an elementary meal together with the company, avoid this institution.

Before leaving, we visited this cozy cafe for the first time and were very satisfied. Boats are really a signature dish. And everything is very tasty. The staff is friendly, the service is fast. There are very comfortable sofas on the balcony, there is an opportunity to sit indoors. I really liked the DJ!! Unfortunately, we don't know the name, but he was meeting our wishes and those of other guests. It was a fabulous evening!!! We came here several times on vacation and were pleasantly surprised. Service at the level of St. Petersburg, Moscow. The food is very tasty, the national dishes are 5+, khachapur boat is the best that we have tasted in Abkhazia! I also really liked the delicious homemade dumplings. Yesterday we decided to visit the much-vaunted restaurant Balcony...from the very beginning, the service- every appliance, every glass, napkins, plates had to be asked from the waiter. The kitchen is simply the height of perfection! The lamb loin was brought cold. According to the waiter, it was taken away and warmed up! Pickles and herring with vodka - two huge plates with heaped food. The cherry on the cake is a shish kebab made from pork pulp. These are randomly sliced pieces, to say that they are salty is to say nothing! Just bare salt. To the question "why is this so?" they began to prove very convincingly to us that this is a marinade, but we simply do not understand. They offered to take it home in a container to evaluate the taste later. The only dish that can be recognized as a dish is a boat. Delicious. One of the advantages is live music, a charismatic performer of popular songs. And the view if you come before sunset. That's all. The interest for the service is already included in the bill, probably because there would be nothing to leave a voluntary tip for visitors.
