The oldest department store in Minsk with its unique surroundings. The range of products is wide, they try to match the spirit of the times. This is not the Moscow GUM, there is no Prada and Louis Vuitton, but there is a choice for its target audience.
They constantly hold promotions and make good discounts.
Located in the city center, near the metro and bus. There is no parking
Guests of the capital should definitely visit here 👍 There are a lot of products from Belarusian manufacturers 😊
After the renovation, the GUM is gorgeous! The choice has always been wide, the prices are high on average in the city, but there is almost a daily discount system! You can always buy something in a small shop and cafe in the right wing. In the same place, only on the third floor at lunchtime you can have a good meal, hot food is not expensive. On the second floor, in the right wing, there is also a cafe bar! There is a toilet on both the first and second floors! The assortment is mainly Belarusian.
This is how the Main Department Store of the state should look like.: not a vanity fair, but an industrial goods store. I really liked the range of products, prices, good staff, general atmosphere and interior. A large number of Belarusian-made goods.
Separately, I would like to highlight the wonderful buffet with its snacks, cakes and mulled wine.
I wish there were more bathrooms!
We got into GUM purely by accident, at first we were attracted by the sign of the dining room, we went in and did not regret it, everything was very tasty and satisfying, I liked it.
We ran through the floors, had to go in to buy gloves, left our own at home, came here to visit.
The assortment is decent, the prices are overpriced, and I really didn't like that on some harmless question from the series, is there someone at the checkout, the seller Ivanova V. barked at us. Such behavior does not suit the sales consultant of the main store of the country, a very unpleasant aftertaste remained from her rudeness, dissatisfied face and unworthy manners of behavior towards customers 🙄
I was satisfied with the solution of the problematic situation, which was not the fault of the store. However, the staff worked very clearly and promptly! Very nice!
As it is, there is a fairly large shopping center with a large assortment for the whole family, as well as an economic department. There are a lot of Belarusian brands represented, there are always promotions and discounts that allow you to buy goods more profitably than even in branded stores.
A good department store, a wide range: I bought stationery and cosmetics - I was satisfied, I also like the choice of Mattioli women's bags in the haberdashery section!
I ate many times in the canteen on the 4th floor, the food is delicious, but I didn't like the soups.. The canteen is closed on Sunday, and on Saturday it happens that they give yesterday's food, so it's better to come here for lunch on weekdays.
By the way, food prices, if you eat every day, are not super cheap, on average: mini salads 2-4 r, soups about 4p, meat 7-8, vegetables 3-5p, casserole 4.7r, side dishes 1-3p, desserts and pastries 1-5 r.
With regard to the interior: in comparison with the GUM of five years ago, the changes are already significant. The first floor has been renovated and now it looks very decent - like in a modern shopping center. It is planned to renovate all floors and improve the range of women's clothing by 2026. Still, to finalize it from the outside - and there will be a candy)
A legendary store in a very beautiful historical building, gorgeous installations in the windows every year, excellent prices for Belarusian cosmetics, for example, there are really profitable promotions. A decent store, despite the fact that it is old, is refreshed and changed every year, so it looks decent.
I went for a run to the GUM in Minsk - a lot of things! Gloves, scarves, bags, cosmetics, souvenirs and much more are a decent store, without glamour and pathos, friendly sellers👍Prices are different for every purse! Everything is beautiful and modern, but going up the stairs to the second floor-some kind of nostalgia arises from the Soviet era, in a good way, although it can only be with me
A state-owned store with various Belarusian goods, a lot of bags for a good price, eyes are running away, pleasant consultants. There are also a lot of cosmetics in different price ranges. A good textile department. I didn't like the floors with clothes very much, it looks more like a market
The building pleases with its splendor, monumentality and preservation. The bas-reliefs emphasize and the facades emphasize the beauty of the Stalinist Baroque with elements of classicism of the same period. Inside the store, I remember visiting it as a child (we are from Russia). Everything is in a clear order, in the same organized layout as before by zones in departments. It's beautiful, clean, without garish, unnecessary advertisements, and cozy. There are many products on the shelves, produced in their own, domestic production. The sellers are polite and knowledgeable about the wide range presented. Just great! Well done!
There are cosmetics of any brands here this time. The second is discounts of up to 30% several times a week (no other store has this). There are any clothes, including underwear for any size, including milavica (discounts are also available every week) Third, you can save a lot of money if you buy as a tourist, as there are similar brands of cosmetics in other stores, but more expensive. Yes, it's a Soviet building, but it's so high-quality, so pleasant that it's a pleasure to be there. Quiet , calm , there are no crowds like in our Moscow store where people only come to stare , because the prices are beyond the reach of an ordinary person ! According to reviews, it feels like it's written by gourmets who are waiting for something sky-high. On the contrary, nostalgia will return to the USSR. The store is gorgeous .
It has always been a good store! And when there was a Central One, and now! It's even better now! Although there is a quick snack at the McDuck nearby (sometimes I run there), but this store has excellent cooking! Delicious and reasonable prices! I advise you!!!
A department store is the love of a shopping lover. Beautiful building) nice cafeteria, and most importantly, a large selection of Belarusian goods! In general, everything is as I like it! You will be in Minsk, you must visit!
We visit this store every time we arrive in Minsk. Yes, of course you can go to shopping malls, and find something cheaper somewhere. But here I like that you can buy everything in one place. And locally produced.
Excellent tablecloths with moisture impregnation. Towels in the kitchen, every time you want to buy something.
This time I bought bed linen, let's see.
We buy T-shirts, socks, and underpants for children.
Unfortunately, I was in the women's department only once and then I was not impressed by the models, but I hope next time I will be able to walk around and see.
Dishes from local factories.
This time we bought a beautiful leather bag with a discount, also made in Belarus.
About the staff. There are very friendly people who will help, tell you, advise you something. And there are those who are sullen, tired, and dissatisfied... In general, as everywhere else. But this does not spoil the attractiveness of that place for me personally.
And each time it is decorated differently.
There are photo zones between the first and second floors.
I like it from the point of view of Soviet architecture.
Sometimes I buy something here: it is convenient that there is a large selection of local manufacturers in one place at once.
There is also a dining room and a cafe where you can have a snack or have a cup of coffee/tea.
A large, beautiful shopping mall. The variety of the product range is impressive. There are storage rooms on the floors. You can leave not only bags, but also outerwear. Attentive and polite sellers.
An atmospheric store from the Soviet era. It will be interesting for tourists. You can buy goods from Belarusian manufacturers there. A pretty good assortment of women's clothing. Something interesting can be found.
During our stay in Minsk, we rented an apartment very close to GUM, so we went there not to buy anything, but just to admire the interior and exterior of the historical place. Very beautiful, very! On Monday morning, there were very few people, so we managed to take photos of almost deserted magnificent staircases and staircases. At first glance, the assortment of goods is ordinary: manufactured goods, fabrics, a large Mark Formelle clothing department, bags, etc. It seemed that the racks with plastic basins and containers in the tableware department look alien in historical interiors. The building itself is magnificent!
GUM is not a store, but a work of art. As for the building, the store is not bad, there is a decent selection of some goods, discounts, bonus programs, in general, sometimes you can go in and buy something)
I've known GUM since childhood and I've always liked it, it's already like a relic, probably everyone who lives or just comes to stay, or on business in the capital, has visited the Main Department Store at least once, this name has been preserved since the Soviet era, and for those who live nearby this is a frequent visit store, it's great that we have preserved its original appearance, and there are also excellent staff here, polite and friendly 👍
Good staff, a very large selection of goods, there are different Belarusian and also imports , discounts and promotions are available , the location is in the city center, there are also 2 elevators, now you can easily climb in a stroller with a child. I also want to note that now there is more choice in the grocery department, you can safely come and take everything you need, there are basic products and even more. There is also a beautiful cafe on the 1st floor, you can order dessert, take a cup of hot drink and admire the city center
I love Gum for its atmosphere, for the constant liveliness within its walls. For the fact that you can find everything for every taste and purse there. It is also an architectural exhibit! It is very pleasant to be there, to walk up the huge stairs. Love!
The assortment is not bad. Mostly Belarusian manufacturers. Pleasant, polite sellers who welcome rare customers. Lots of women's cosmetics and bags. But the prices! We need to do something about it.
All the canons of the state department have been observed, from the assortment to the service.
If you want to taste these exotics, it's better to go to the shopping center, the store is more compact, the prices are cheaper, because the margin is lower.
Since childhood, I have been going there periodically for shopping, I have always been satisfied with all my purchases, the quality is good
The last purchase was of winter boots, the quality is super, I applied this winter and they are like new)
I go shopping from time to time. Rarely, but aptly) I bought myself a gift for the new Year. Once again, I was convinced that you need to take a bag of good quality. The discounts were pleasantly pleased.
Beautiful interior, warm and cozy from the cold. I meet consultants and employees who are polite and friendly.
Excellent department of Belarusian cosmetics to the left of the entrance. And in general, there are many beautiful Belarusian-made goods in the beautiful interiors of the magnificent Stalinist building. A very cozy cafe to the right of the entrance with a free toilet.
The service is good, the interior is clean and tidy. However, the range may seem a bit eclectic — you can find both expensive items and everyday products here.
The choice is large. It is advantageous to go on weekends when discounts on all products are up to 30%. It turns out to be a very significant benefit. A huge selection of underwear. Moreover, there are also large sizes. Come on in. It's cheaper here than in TSUM, I compared it .
A very nice, modern store. A large selection of high-quality Belarusian goods! Very often, big discounts are made in Gum, at this time it is very profitable to purchase a large purchase! On the ground floor there is a cafe with delicious cakes. Everything is inexpensive! I recommend visiting Gum! You will be satisfied! I'm giving you a well-deserved high score!
We bought Belarusian cosmetics, and even with a discount!)) A beautiful monumental building with pleasant shops. I regretted that I did not buy a polyresin pear.
Of course, you can go in and take a look, if someone is close to the aesthetics of the USSR (and who forgot about the poor service in the USSR, then they will refresh your memory here), so I'm telling you. We went in not only to look, but also wanted to buy something, we even found the elevator (from the entrance on the left, the one in the sales area is not working, but if you go out onto the stairs, there is an elevator). So, about the service, they are really rude here, as in the USSR (hello to those who whine how good it was then)), sellers are absolutely not interested in selling something. We entered GUM at 20:00 on May 7, the store is open until 21:00. If there is still life near the counters at the entrance (but this is not for sure, we were not interested in souvenirs), then the difficulties began. At first we wanted to buy gloves (let me remind you, it's a cold spring this year and the forecast was wrong), we couldn't find the right size, so we asked a bored saleswoman aged 50+ to look up from the counter, where she was standing with her head propped up, like Alyonushka in a famous painting. And what did we hear? Not the first time she looked up from the counter and grumbled, "Everything is here, you always outweigh it, etc." she rummaged through the glove rack, but even from behind it was clear that she didn't care, she wouldn't look for anything. Realizing that we were unlucky with gloves, we decided to take the elevator up to the dining room, the dining room is open for a minute until 21:00 - an empty cafeteria, empty counters, a couple of Napoleon-type cakes. A girl who came out of the back room looked at us with displeasure and muttered that there was no food, and perhaps the bartender would make us coffee (if he appeared, of course). Thanks, but no, we didn't need coffee at 8 p.m., we wanted to have dinner. Okay, we went up to the women's department, went down the stairs to the men's department. And then, bingo! The husband, who has large dimensions, has found suitable jackets for himself for the spring. I turn around to ask for help from the sales consultant (standing in the middle of the hall, huddled against the hangers) and stumble upon the same dissatisfied and sleepy face as in other departments of this wonderful store. With obvious reluctance, looking up from "her" hanger, the saleswoman came to us and fiddled with something, offering us an office jacket. Thank you, we need something else, the work jacket is durable and comfortable. That was the end of her help: no request to look for something else (Well, you refused?) We didn't find any response from her, she didn't even move, and we didn't ask her to take the selected items to the checkout while we looked for something else ("If you want to postpone, we'll close in an hour!"). Okay, we didn't look for anything else, took our jacket and went to the cash register. And the girl with a displeased expression went to "hang" on "her" hanger in the middle of the hall, apparently waiting for the end of the working day. There was no one at the cash register (and why wasn't I surprised?), but in front of it, leaning on the counter, a guard (judging by his uniform) and two young men were standing and talking in loose poses. Needless to say, they didn't pay any attention to us? And only after asking if the cash register was working, one of them followed behind the counter. And then the problems with the magnet on the jacket started. It took about 15 minutes to unscrew it, with the involvement of a security guard and an aunt in a salesman's uniform passing by. Honestly, I was already afraid for the jacket and its appearance. And to my husband's question-joke (he still had the strength to joke, but I no longer have): "In the evening, not only the sellers don't want to work here, but even the magnets," the cashier with the dapper beard replied: "They don't want to work in the morning either! It's GUM! "The curtain! It was the quintessence of the experience of that evening. So, if you only want to see the main store of the capital, then you can go in, but if you buy, then you shouldn't. They don't want to work and will do everything to spoil your mood with their laziness and disregard. The only photo I can attach is a photo of a hanger with jackets, because I had neither the desire nor the energy to photograph the interiors after communicating with the staff.
It's good that our GUM doesn't resemble Moscow's))
Here you can find everything you need at reasonable prices. Almost everything that is sold on the 4th floor is made in Russia.
ooo! This is a fabulous world where adult life and childhood memories border. The children's department has an endless selection of toys, things, office supplies, and everything at reasonable prices.🥳🫶💐
A great place to buy something from cosmetics, clothes, underwear of Belarusian production. You can also buy home textiles and fabrics. The choice and prices are pleasant, there are discounts.
There is a children's department with clothes and shoes.
It is worth noting the presence of an exchange office in the building 👍
Convenient location. Friendly staff. A very mediocre selection of goods. Absolutely wild prices. There is a grocery store and a nice cafe on the ground floor.
I really like this department store. Every time I visit it, I feel a sense of pride for my Belarusian brothers. There are many products of our own production (especially cosmetics), prices are not all, but lower than in Moscow.
I would like to thank the consultants of the Jewelry section, Ageeva O.A.,Bunya S.A.,Matusevich Zh.N.,Sepova O.N., always very attentive, I am a regular customer,I have never left without a purchase)! Thank you for the wonderful mood!
We chose gifts in GUM, Belarusian cosmetics, there is just a lot of choice! And there are good Belarusian products in the grocery store, we bought good sweets, sausage, and cheese as gifts.
If you want to visit the Soviet past and explore, then you need to visit GUM and other shops in Belarus. This service is at the highest level, it's nice to look at the sellers in uniform, virtuous, friendly
This is the most central store in Minsk. It is located in the city center. Assortment: cosmetics (mainly Belarusian brands, very good, by the way), bags, accessories, clothes and even food. The prices are affordable. The quality is good.
You won't leave without shopping.
A store in the center of Minsk. I was interested in the local assortment. My relatives living in Minsk advised me to go there. It is convenient that on one floor you can view and purchase goods from various local companies, both for men and women. Near the entrance to the cafe, where we were treated to delicious Kobrin ice cream. It is considered a brand of Belarus. One thing is, there is nowhere to park the car, we managed to do it on Mezhdunarodnaya Street, it's far enough away.
The look of the store has changed a lot. The goods are conveniently located. A large assortment, especially for women. Pleasant service. Reasonable prices
HONESTLY! I expected more from the store in the center of Minsk.
On the 1st floor, the cosmetics and perfumery department still meets expectations.I just don't want to comment on the other departments. A very small assortment.
The department store is history! On the 1st floor, we were pleased to purchase a watch from the Luch factory and a bag made in Belarus! Cosmetics department with a huge assortment and courteous sales staff!
The building of the Stalinist era is very pretentious and resembles Moscow shops. A beautiful staircase - on each floor there is a sale of goods only from Belarusian manufacturers and this is great! There is also a souvenir department with Belarusian goods - the prices are acceptable. It's nice to shop here.
You can still smell the USSR here! By the way, there is a very good dining room on the fourth floor. Inexpensive. And there's a nice cafe on the second floor. And on the first floor there is a beautiful new cafe (there is a toilet).
Tourists will find everything they need here. And in the city center near the metro. And the locals sometimes shop. The assortment and composition are being improved every year.
