*CARFUL* CORRUPT KAZAKHSTAN BORDER POLICE !
First off - Super hectic place, lots of people going through customs here.
If you're a Westener be super careful when the border guards are asking you how much money you have with you. They will make you count it on the table while trying to steal a big note of your money. It happened to us & super fast, they must have been doing it for years already, but we were able to spot it.
This happened on the Kazakhstan side, no problems on uzkeb side of border.
Saturday and Sundays there are a lot of cars to cross the border, some of them to visit the relatives some to do the business.
Both sides made it easy to cross by car or on foot.
If you don't have anything illegal then it is green light to cross the border from both sides.
Excellent customs, on the Uzbek side, there is Parking, there is a hotel with a cafe and an excellent waiting room. Well done, they built everything there well and conveniently, everything that was missing for a long time, they put everything up. And ATMs, and the sale of SIM cards and cakes with you can be bought. Awesome However, it is now temporary, the customs has probably been repaired from Uzbekistan for six months, it is dusty and the distance has increased, but we hope everything will be for improvement for citizens so that it is more comfortable to spend
I don't even know where to start! But perhaps in order!
05/16/2023 We left Moscow and literally reached this point in 48 hours. Gorgeous. All our efforts were ruined by this checkpoint!!! Looking ahead a little, I can say for sure that the capacity of this point is 20 cars in 1 hour. But due to the carelessness of the staff of this point and the subsequent point (Uzbek), a maximum of 10 cars can pass in an hour. We were able to pass this point in 12 hours!!! There were only 40 cars ahead of us!
This item turned out to be the most corrupt. While we were standing for 12 hours, 50 times different people came and offered to spend 10000r without queuing. But people took advantage of it willingly, because there is no clear line of priority, in a word, a mess. If you suddenly fall asleep, then no one is waiting for you, and you will stay in your place. Fight among the stowaways for every mm!
Kazakh border guards share with 4-5 Azerbaijanis who sell tickets for 10000r.
But I want to say that the bulk of these are cars from Uzbekistan, judging by the numbers!
This year we decided to go at the end of September, we thought it would be faster out of season. Nothing has changed. 09/21/24 it got even worse, the arrogant Azerbaijanis raised the stakes. I ask the management of these posts of the Kazakh-Uzbek border to pay attention to this mess and take appropriate measures!
And I want to tell ordinary drivers and travelers that nerves are more expensive and cheaper by plane…
My review of the Chernyayevka border crossing:
The Chernyaevka border crossing left me with a generally positive impression, but there are also points that need improvement.
The positive sides:
1. Infrastructure. On the Uzbek side there is a convenient parking lot, a hotel with a cafe and a waiting room, which makes your stay more comfortable. It is also nice that ATMs and points of sale of SIM cards are available - this is convenient for solving financial and communication issues.
2. Staff work. Border control officers generally act professionally and ensure order, which inspires confidence.
Areas for improvement:
1. Queues and waiting times. During rush hours and on public holidays, waiting times can stretch for several hours, which creates inconvenience for travelers. I hope that the flow management will be improved.
2. Queue management. There were cases when they offered to pass without queuing for an additional fee. This causes dissatisfaction and a sense of injustice among the other passengers.
3. Baggage check. Screening procedures sometimes take longer than we would like, especially after a long journey.
Recommendations:
I would advise travelers to choose weekdays and mornings to cross the border in order to reduce the waiting time. It is also important to prepare all the documents in advance and follow the rules in order to speed up the control process.
Despite minor inconveniences, I am satisfied with the operation of the border crossing and hope that measures will be taken in the future to improve the service.
Chernyaevka is one of the border checkpoints between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which is located near Tashkent. Reviews of Chernyayevka customs often vary greatly depending on the experience of travelers.
Positive aspects:
1. Convenient location: The customs office is located in close proximity to Tashkent, which makes it a popular route for traveling between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
2. Border control: In recent years, the process of crossing the border for citizens of the CIS countries has become relatively faster, especially if there is not a large influx of people.
3. Modernization: Some sources note that the customs infrastructure has improved, which speeds up the passage of formalities.
However, there are also disadvantages that are often complained about:
1. Queues: During rush hours, especially during the summer season and on holidays, large queues can form on Chernyayevka. People sometimes have to wait for several hours, which can be tedious, especially in hot weather.
2. Staff: Some travelers are not satisfied with the level of service. There are cases when customs officers behave rudely or do not inform enough about the rules of border crossing.
3. The verification process: Sometimes there are difficulties with checking baggage, which can delay the border crossing process.
In general, the experience of crossing the Chernyayevka customs depends on the specific day and time of crossing the border. It is important to plan your trip in advance and take into account possible delays.
I walked from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, as the two-week period of stay without registration expired. I took a regular bus, it was very convenient. The service is organized clearly, there is practically no queue, I went through everything quickly, bought a bottle of excellent koumiss in Kazakhstan, and returned to Uzbekistan just as quickly, catching another bus that runs there until 11 pm.
Basically, if you're walking, it's fast. They let you out of Kazakhstan by car quickly in both directions. Everything is very slow in Uzbekistan.
The most disgusting thing is that every time you cross, you can see how customs officers extort bribes from local people. Even in poorer countries, I have not seen such massive extortion. They took place on August 23, 2024 in front of me in the open at the Kazakh border at passport control, an employee accepted money from a man after refusing to let him into Uzbekistan.
Even when you leave every door, they ask you for your passport, it's not clear that everyone is watching
The 34th day of our trip.
Crossing the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan border.
It is necessary to highlight this interesting experience. As soon as we arrived at +- 00:00 and got in line, smart boys immediately jumped up to us, who reminded me of the hustlers on the square of three railway stations in Moscow, who regulated the flow of motorists for money and offered to rush the border without queuing for 10000rub. Refused - it's strange... These private entrepreneurs rushed in a flock between the cars standing in line, blocked everything and let the cars in ahead. After an hour of standing still, I saw how those who wanted to cross the border were launched in front of me, who are "better than others" and they should not stand in queues with women and children.
I walked to the police at the gate to ask, "is it always like this?" But the police work like white people during office hours, and the time is later.
But suddenly, the cops themselves became alarmed and the entire column of "special ones" was deployed. The clear guys backed up and kind of stood up like everyone in the middle)))
However, negotiations between a group of people with increased initiatives and police officers are still ongoing))
The license plate of the police car, which is being intensively tried to persuade to turn a blind eye to the gang, KZ 0963 13.
I hope that someone will pay attention to the situation on the Kazakh-Uzbek border with one eye))) And life will get a little better))
P.S.: at the time of writing, we are standing in place for more than 4 hours ...
P.S.: as a result, we stood there for 11 hours. The monstrous organization of the process.
Everything is perfectly organized for pedestrians.
Perhaps the only thing to note is the annoying taxi sellers. But where to go without them? 😹
For motorists, the organization is frankly weak. There are many stages, they are poorly connected with each other and it is not obvious what needs to be done next. I have to constantly get out / into the car. Standing in a live queue at the window from where a not very friendly employee is looking at you.
The territory is cleaned for three.
Stock up on a thermos, water and sandwiches / chocolates to somehow brighten up the time spent in this place.
Well done, they set up a lot of posts, a large number of people manage to check and register, a lot of visitors, it's not an easy task for customs to serve everyone, but nevertheless they manage to give everyone good health in the new year and great success in their work to customs officers and ordinary citizens who go abroad to rest, Good luck for all years, more beautiful trips
I didn't have a very pleasant impression, because at the Kazakhstan border post they confused me with a wanted man, which was the most unpleasant surprise for me. The patronymic and place of birth of the one who is wanted are different. But they closed it anyway until they found out, but I've been there for five years now, even though I was detained for an hour. And now I'm thinking of contacting our Russian Consulate in Tashkent.
It has become much better, faster, and more comfortable to pass. The customs officers are polite, everything is structured and clear. The conclusion applies to both the Kazakh side and the Uzbek side.
Once again, I am disappointed with everything that is happening on this fucking border. Three days on the road, how many hours in the car and then you have such a torment, and in short, 4 hours to go through artificially created queues. I drove through the whole of Russia, drove through Kazakhstan in half an hour and in Chernyayevka I realized what hospitality in Uzbek means. At first, it was not clear for 4 hours that a single entry into the country by car was waiting in line with a bunch of shuttle people refueling fuel in a neighboring state. Then a check with the exit of all the passengers tired on the road, the aged mother is unclear why this is complete nonsense at all. And as a result, there is one window for border verification of documents where there is such a crowd of limitless people who, for the sake of profit, climb out of turn everywhere. Okay, it would still be so simple, but something else surprised me, last year the situation was similar, but I was never told on the same car that it turns out my factory windows are not tinted at all, in their opinion this time they turned out to be tinted. The customs officers did not talk politely, they did not explain anything where to go, as it should be in such places. When asked to explain why I was not charged for tinting last time, but now he decided with one glance that the car was tinted, he did not bother to explain on paper or with a device, saying that he would not miss it until I paid $ 15. In short, if you are ready for a nightmare and lawlessness on the part of the customs of Uzbekistan, then welcome, everything is guaranteed to suit you, you will definitely get the whole curiosity of the non-changing customs not by a gram. The thrill is guaranteed. And finally, my mother sat at the exit, it is not clear where for three whole hours until I went out and could not contact her. Even this moment doesn't bother them. Put out and the driver himself with a bunch of things has to drag a bunch of things through a metal detector, emptying the entire trunk and not two steps from the car. Well, at least on the way back there were no fines like many and they are not cheap for information. For exceeding the limit, you will pay no less than 2500 rubles in translation from their currency. So if you still decide to go extreme, ask for patience and try not to violate the traffic rules in this country. Although judging by the ride, you can't do without a mat here. All the best to everyone and have a good trip
I passed this checkpoint on foot at the end of August . Queues are certainly cosmic . We stood for a total of two hours . but!It should be taken into account that firstly , it is the end of summer , everyone is returning from vacations , and secondly , a new terminal is being built at the checkpoint . It is clear that in the current conditions, there can be no question of any comfort . We 'll wait until it 's completed , and then you 'll see comfort will appear . The customs officers on both sides are doing well , they are working quickly .
The terrible attitude on the part of the staff of the checkpoint when leaving Uzbekistan to tourists, I went with a group on a tour to Tashkent for 2 days, inspired by a wonderful trip and a wonderful journey, I returned home on September 2, so the employee interrogated me rather rudely and demanded to prove that the photo in the passport really shows me More togo took my phone and looked at my personal photos to supposedly make sure that the photo shows me😐🤨What kind of nonsense is this? Are your employees sane?Do you have cameras with identification installed everywhere, or do they think that everything is allowed to them and therefore abuse their official powers, isn't that how it turns out?I have been to many countries, but this is the first time I have encountered such an attitude"Thanks" to your employee and such a rude attitude at the checkpoint, as a tourist I will NEVER COME TO YOUR COUNTRY again IN MY LIFE. 🤨Carry out work for your employees on a NORMAL AND HUMAN ATTITUDE towards tourists first of all! And teach them how to use cameras if they are so incompetent🤨With this attitude, you will scare away all tourists😠😡😤
I went more than once, everything was fine! The only thing is a lot of people! It's on the border where our Shymkent is, I didn't like the toilet, it would be nice if it were cleaner and bigger!
It's a pity that you can't give minus 100 stars. It's total hell. Everything that is written in the comments is true.
We became record holders - we stood on this border for 15 hours. 15 hours, think about it? You drive in here (from any side) and you feel just disgusting, there is complete unsanitary conditions, garbage everywhere, urine stinks everywhere, gypsies swoop in and bang into the car. It's okay, you can be patient, but the queue and the attitude of the border guards... it's something with something. Especially the border guards from Uzbekistan - the Gestapo. I don't even know how to describe them, they are insanely slow, they don't care that you are tired and have been standing here for 15 hours. They were forced to remove parts of the doors and trunk lining. This is a complete trash, good luck to everyone who will pass it, it's worse and scarier than any Hunger games
If possible, it is better not to go through this customs. If you pass the Kazakh side, you will die either in line or from the condition of the premises, the floor tiles are cracked, the underfloor heating pipes are inside out, there are still these damn windows in which 1 person sits, although 2 should.
Another thing is when you enter the Uzbek customs - it's beautiful, and it's not stuffy, the air conditioners are blown, the windows are only for parents with children, and for the rest there are scanners for passports - I attached, passed, received a seal. There is no queue.
Kazakh customs, make repairs and equip yourself with new equipment, customs is the face of the state.
Well, or don't do it...
The Chernyayevka checkpoint is an important border checkpoint at the border, designed to cross the border and perform customs formalities. This checkpoint serves (as I know) only passenger transportation, being one of the key routes for international traffic flow.
The positive aspects of the Chernyayevka checkpoint include its strategic location, which provides convenient access for crossing the border. The checkpoint is equipped with modern means of control and security, which helps to effectively check vehicles and cargo. Qualified staff work at the checkpoint, ready to help with the preparation of necessary documents and advise on border crossing issues.
However, as at many other border crossings, problems sometimes arise at Chernyayevka. One of the main complaints is the long waiting time, especially during peak periods. Queues at the border can be very long, which increases crossing time and inconveniences travelers and truck drivers. Some users also note that sometimes there are cases of lack of awareness or disorganization, which can complicate the passage of procedures. In addition, infrastructure and facilities for passengers and drivers may be limited, which reduces the comfort of staying at the checkpoint.
In general, the Chernyayevka checkpoint performs its key function of ensuring control and security at the border, despite some inconveniences associated with the crossing process and waiting.
We express our great thanks to the staff of the Chernyayevka checkpoint. For their professionalism, responsibility, honor and human attitude. I wish all employees and their families good health and kindness!
Kazakh customs officers were very pleased with their friendliness and hospitality. Everyone works quickly and harmoniously according to the law. Uzbekistan takes a long time to receive long queues.
It is very dirty and dusty. They passed quickly, they work perfectly. When leaving the city of Tashkent at the customs point, on the right, near the canal, there is a cozy place where the most hospitable hosts will feed delicious pilaf on the path. And they'll look after your things. You will not find such hospitality anywhere.
Compared to Kaplambek, the customs is much larger. However, it takes about the same time to complete. It's clean, the staff is polite on both sides, but it's still better with Kazakh!
I quite liked it, it was clean and everything was sterile. An adequate receptionist, a client-oriented salon. However, I signed up for the master Milena, in my opinion her name was and was very dissatisfied, I had to redo the manicure after 2 days, the salon offered another master and I was corrected, after 7 days my coating fell off, although the warranty is for 3 weeks, I do not wash the dishes, there is no possibility that I did something myself I used to walk calmly for 4-5 weeks with one coating. And I was also provided with a pedicure service, my cuticles and nail were cut through, I was uncomfortable for a long time. I am now enrolled with another master, I hope I will eventually find my master with them.
The main thing is not to get in before weekends or holidays. Because the organization is still lame on the part of the Republic of Kazakhstan. I understand that it's also about our people who practically respect no one and climb like animals. But at the point itself, repairs are currently underway. So we are waiting for a civilized organization of border control
In general, everything is fine, but for the lack of personnel there are not enough at customs , there are long queues , someone is calmly standing in line and those who do not have the patience to stand in line
Well, very bad customs. There are zero questions for employees, they are polite, they work fast enough. But the organization of the place itself is terrible. In summer it is very hot there, there are few working windows, crowds that are not controlled in any way, dirty. I really hope that they will fix the situation and it will be much more comfortable there.
