Good day! I think this is a wonderful place! The views are mind-blowing! The lake is incredibly beautiful, and the staff, who by all means, by hook or by crook, will do everything to make you visit this institution, will leave this location an unforgettable (in the worst sense of the word) spot to visit. To the point:
Driving on the road around the lake, you are met by a character who will ask you the question "do you want to go to the lake or to Stalin's dacha?". If you tell him that you are going to the lake, he will show you the way to the cafe, for parking which they will ask 500 rubles, or make an order in the amount of 1000 rubles + free parking. Having refused, on departure, the above character will start throwing insults at your back, ala "a lover of massaging the male genital organ with his mouth (of course using obscene, non-permissive Yandex vocabulary)." It's not worth asking why he uses such vocabulary in your direction, I say right away.
Bottom line: visit this place if you want to spoil the impression of such a magnificent natural object with unforgettable views.
We were in a cafe on the veranda with an excursion to Lake Ritsa. Dinner at the end of the trip, of course, I already wanted to eat after a trip lasting 6 hours and endless tastings. The lake is beautiful, the places are wonderful... That's all... The time on the lake in the excursion at 8 o'clock is limited, about an hour, so we were afraid that we would not have time to try grilled dishes and ride catamarans, we decided to order what would be served quickly. We ordered fish soup and pilaf, saw, while we were waiting with coupons, how they took everything out of plastic buckets from refrigerators and combined fish soup in a plate and put fish to it, then they also collected and heated pilaf from separate parts. Here we would have stopped, but, no, the kind of dishes is normal, we ate, and at night four out of five had a nightmare. There has never been such a poisoning in my life. Thank God there were only adults among us. The next two days were spent only in bed. We remembered for a long time the dinner at the Ritz with a price tag of 6000 for four: fish soup, pilaf and tea. It didn't happen to anyone... We are happy for you!
An interesting approach. In fact, we were forced to come here in order not to pay for parking. The conditions are such that either parking is 500 rubles, or in a cafe you collect at least 1000 rubles and parking without payment.
Such an approach. Well, the place itself does not inspire confidence. The sink is around the corner of the neighboring building, without soap, the conditions are terrible. It smacks of unsanitary conditions, to be honest. There is a huge flow of tourists, and few people worry about quality here.
It is better to spend time and look for a parking lot nearby.
There are unknown laws here.
We went on 06/25.
24. They catch us right off the highway to a paid parking lot. They offer to either pay 500 rubles for it, or dial a check in a cafe from 1000 rubles. It would be fine, but the kitchen there is disgusting. We took khachapur round for 800 rubles and 2 Abkhazian lemonades for 150 rubles, which taste no different from our aunt pears and mojitos for 40 rubles in any networker. Khachapur is one dough. There is almost no cheese. Friends took mashed potatoes with cutlets and a hodgepodge. We couldn't finish anything - it's not tasty. At the same time, 10% of the receipt is charged for the service that did not exist. There were no appliances, there were no napkins on the table. There is no Wi-Fi (even the toilet has Wi-Fi) payment is only in cash.
2 stars only for the lake view.
Everyone who praises in the reviews, they write about other cafes. Specifically, this one, which is the first one at the entrance, is bypassed. I don't know about the others.
Go further to the paid parking, or a little further you can stand for free by the road.
We were at the Grotto cafe in July.Going down the steps, you immediately find yourself at the cafe. The place is beautiful, the view of the lake is cool. The prices are high, the portions are not large, the food is not tasty.Khinkali from below are torn, overcooked.Tea costs 100 rubles. After paying, I had to go to the food distribution, and there I had to stand in line. The cafe was recommended by the guide. At least they didn't get poisoned, and thanks for that. There wasn't much time, but it would have been possible to choose another cafe.I do not recommend this cafe.
May'24
The ritz is impressive on a sunny day.....
Then the mountains and the forest are reflected on the emerald surface. It's sooo beautiful
Emerald-colored water
Ritsa seemed cloudy to me, with clouds in the sky.
The trip to the lake is very picturesque in the middle of May, the mountain rivers are full of water.
In my opinion, there is a lot of unorganized commerce around
I join the feedback from the victims!
Obviously, after a grueling excursion on the lake shore, you will want to taste fish dishes. The choice fell on the trout ear. Not only did they bring a frankly cooled ear, but a terrible poisoning began during the night. How can you trust a local service after this? Why is there no enhanced quality control at such popular sites? At the same time, the price is like a decent restaurant. Don't repeat my mistakes and avoid this place.
I am writing a review for a cafe that is in the parking lot, it is terrible, it is not worth one star, do not be fooled, it is better to eat elsewhere and pay 500 rubles for parking than to get poisoned in this cafe. That's what happened to our child. The food is disgusting, not tasty. Kampots and juices are diluted with water, and the price tag on them is like freshly squeezed juices. The child ate noodles and vomited all night, poisoning. Do not go to this cafe if your health is dear to you!
We were driving to the lake when a guy with a walkie-talkie blocked our way and sent us to the parking lot down to the lake. We drove in without knowing anything. Downstairs, another man with a walkie-talkie announced the price of 500 rubles for parking or to buy at least 1000 rubles worth of food ONLY in this cafe and present a receipt. We went to a cafe and looked at the menu. Stuffy, dirty, unpleasant. They did not eat. They gave 500 rubles for nothing and left. No payment document was given. People are being forced into cafes - lawlessness!
We stopped at the Ritz, and they sent us to the parking lot at the cafe, and with the condition of a check in the cafe from 1000 rubles, parking is free. Everything is delicious on the menu, it's a sin not to eat with such a gorgeous view.
If this is a cafe that is above the catamarans from above... then it's a cool place
Good view , fast serving + delicious truth. I liked the shurpa very much , not everywhere it comes out delicious from chefs .
There is Wi-fi , convenient
The waiters play backgammon instead of service, the prices are like in top restaurants in The Hague, and the food is not very good, the most expensive French fries and the most tasteless that I have ever eaten. The tables are dirty, the staff talks to each other at all cafes who will borrow how much money to whom.
Cafe GROTTO is the most terrible cafe that can be, the food is treasured, tasteless, hominy is something , no trout
Cheese is impossible to eat , even with hair ! When they started complaining to the waiter, she didn't care, give them the money and go!
In general, we "ate" for 1500 , left the cafe hungry, and also took 10% for the service, despite the fact that we went after her ourselves
Take food with you!
Disgusting cafe there are no other sols
Khinkali are all torn without broth
Shish kebab instead of chicken, pork was brought, and even not fried
The tables are all in divorce
At the same time, the price is very high
We ordered 2 cups of tea and brought one
The same terrible taste, so I didn't have to ask for a second one.
They left in a bad mood
To use the location of nature and completely forget about the service and the taste of the dishes is just terrible
It is very interesting to immerse ourselves in a world that we have already lost the habit of. A very beautiful place on the shore of Lake Ritsa. The dishes are cooked deliciously.
Cafe along the lake, the view is amazing, but the husband and son were poisoned by barbecue. My son was taken to a local hospital, dripped. I ate fish well, apparently it was fresh.
Parking is paid 500 rubles, but if you buy in this cafe for 1000 rubles, it's free.
One soup costs 450 rubles, everything is very salty! Compote is water and a couple of berries. There were 7 of us, left 6,000. Gone hungry. I do not recommend
Disgusting cafe
Not only is it not tasty and the prices are high
So one portion of khinkali was given after 15 minutes (and boiled khinkali), the second was promised after another 15, and even rude
I had to take the potatoes
What they call pilaf is rice with dry meat
After reading the reviews, it was decided to park further, and walk, it is better not to take food there, they took coffee and water, there is not much to look at, as in principle everywhere, but the view for the photo is beautiful
April 2024.
I would argue about the cafe. The kitchen is not bad, but the prices do not match the quality. You serve yourself: you paid for it, with a tray in one window for hot, in another for tea. Thank you for cleaning up after the visitors. Tables and benches are on the street under a canopy. There is a small hall, it's nice and cozy there. I wouldn't visit three times.
I didn't like the word at all. Especially as we saw how the cook put French fries on the eye, pulled them out, divided them into four portions, then thought about it and pinched each plate, scored on the fifth. Compote was served in glasses, I have never seen such tiny glasses before. I do not recommend visiting.
Ritsa is a beautiful, picturesque, charming place. This cafe fits well into the landscape of the lake. Delicious national food at an affordable price. The cafe is located on the shore of the lake.
Chicken kebab with bones and blood. What are the 4.4 points? For what? For the stale bread and rudeness of the staff? Awful. I do it to those who edit it and moderate it to feed their children in this nausea until the end of centuries. You have no conscience.
There was no chicken kebab-bones and veins for the price of pork. The bread is stale. The only thing I liked about the cafe is khachapuri. The staff has not been taught the etiquette of communicating with the client.
Here is the coolest barbecue on the Ritz. I have already visited and eaten 3 or 4 times, for 2 years - and everything is still at a high level. Very tasty, everything is super fresh. The pastries are awesome. And, of course, they look gorgeous. And since they are the last, no one walks by. Complete peace and only the surface of the lake!!! I recommend
The food is normal, the service is so-so, the staff is unfriendly, the beer is Sukhumi like everywhere else. In general, they use the place and that's it
A terrible place with "lanky" waiters and mediocre cuisine.
After a meal at this institution, a real nightmare began at night. The dishes are not cooked, they are heated. There are a lot of spices everywhere, apparently to interrupt the original taste of the products (not the fact that they are fresh), I STRONGLY do not recommend visiting this eatery!!!!
In general, the driver -guide brought us here. An order, two kebabs, a hodgepodge, caesar salad and drinks ... 4500... a kebab is five pieces of overcooked and dry meat, five tablespoons of liquid hodgepodge. Tasteless, microscopic doses for the Moscow price list. I do not recommend it
When we arrived, we were deceived. An employee of the cafe blocked the road to the paid parking lot and said that it was not working. He sent us to the cafe parking lot and offered to pay 500 rubles or collect a check for 1,500 rubles. We would be fine with that, but the food there is terrible and not worth the price. Pilaf was taken for 500 rubles and there was no meat, white rice. We took fries for 250, the amount is probably less than in a small portion in a poppy.
They cook very tasty and fast. Especially delicious grilled trout, I recommend it. Of course, the price is too high, but it's still worth it, especially with such a view of the lake. 😊😊😊
The food is tasteless. I took a boat (which for some reason is not khachapuri in Adjarian) - raw dough, instead of cheese, it is generally unclear what. I asked for dry wine, they gave me either sweet or semi-sweet. The price tag is above average, the food is below the same threshold.
In the very center of the Ricin Relic National Park there is a cozy cafe offering visitors a unique experience and an excellent culinary nozzle. The dishes are varied.
A very beautiful place! Mountain air, gorgeous views for photos and videos. Lots of impressions! But, also, we need a "beautiful" infusion of finance, for repairs. All the constructions of the Soviet Union. And the prices in the cafe are high!
Excellent menu, beautiful place, very picturesque friendly staff, attentive, caring, quickly set the table, cleanliness everywhere, very tasty trout fish, beautifully decorated dishes, delicious kebabs, and Khachapuri are generally delicious, hot with fervor, all dishes are served, drinks are all natural and most importantly everything is cheap. Thanks to all the staff.
The food was terrible, they took a pork kebab and it was dried so that you couldn't chew it and it tasted very strange, the wine turned out to be spoiled, they served it (vinegar tasted), the waitress ignored our remarks.

The worst food and service, especially in such significant and famous places for the country, I have never seen, it's just a SHAME!!!, there were 15 of us on the tour on 07/24/24, everyone was completely shocked by the food and the price!
About myself, my daughter and I are 12 years old, ordered trout fish soup, lamb and pork kebab, a boat, a glass of dry wine and a bottle of lemonade, gave a small 3K, my daughter "ate" 1 piece of meat, chewed for a long time and spat into a napkin with the words that it was bitter and salty, drank 1 glass from the bottle The lemonade was disgusting.
Ear, it was more similar in composition that the shurpa was cooked and then the trout was washed and thrown and cooked a little more, complete tastelessness and an incomprehensible set of products for the ear, I wanted to eat, I had to at least eat broth with fish.
The boat, it was probably cooked a few days ago, and before serving it was warmed up in a dropsy bath, instead of cheese there is definitely no cheese, bit off and threw it away, a DISGRACE!
Shish kebab, thrown on the table without saying who has mutton, who has pork ..., it looks the same, moreover, it also tasted the same, I tried it at home, cut it off, after my daughter refused to eat, from her piece, I did not understand the difference at all, the same thing, plus the meat is solid corned beef, whether it was from salted, they tried to wash it, but it didn't work, serving shish kebab just with a piece of white bread, small pieces of onions and splashes of some kind of ketchup, I haven't seen this in my life in my 50 years even in the 90s!!!
There is no pepper on the table, 1 napkin and then everything..., when calculating, when I said that they don't pay for this, they told me there's a kitchen over there, go figure it out!
Before this tour, I was on others and heard more than once from other participants that the food was not very tasty at the Ritz, but after seeing the number of cafes, I thought maybe it was in another place, in fact I realized that this is 1000% of the total problem of all catering on this beautiful lake.
Dear readers of reviews, there are only rygalovki, take this into account when planning trips, in no case feed your children and refrain yourself, in other circumstances I would describe all this only with a three-story mat!
1. At the entrance, on the radio, one tells the other loudly that a car is coming. From below, on the radio, similarly, a formidable man meets. For a group of girls, this looks a little intimidating.
2. Parking is free for cafe visitors, but going down you no longer have a choice - either eat or pay. And you've never seen the menu yet (to turn around and leave - you have to argue, apparently)
3. Food: we didn't like it, it was expensive and there was little choice. It's expensive - in comparison, we understand that it's a tourist place, but we only ate in tour places and there is something to compare it with. The meat in Abkhazian was the most worthy of all ordered
4. I am applying prices for September 2023.
5. Speaking of parking: if there are places on the right side of the cafe, they were forced to park exactly in front of the cafe steps, thereby closing the normal passage to visitors. All the way that we ate, we had to watch the car so that none of the guests enraged by such parking would harm the car.
Of the advantages:
- view
- waiter (good-natured, but not in a hurry)
The most beautiful place, I want to come back again and again. In December there is a beautiful Christmas tree and there are practically no tourists. At the end of September, the lake and the Bzyb River became shallow, but in April they are in all their glory. You can ride catamarans 500 rubles for 30 minutes per person. Parking is paid 500 rubles at the bottom, but if you order food at their cafe and take a ride on their catamaran, parking will be free. You can swim up to Stalin's dacha by catamaran, but you can't park to the shore.
A great delicious cafe. We chose from many cafes, but we chose this and did not regret it. The whole family is well fed. The Abkhazian syndrome and its consequences are absent.
I recommend it!
The cafe is disgusting, in fact, at exorbitant prices they serve such a piggy. Please pass by this cafe, my daughter has a stomach ache after lunch, they also charge 10 percent for service, it's ridiculous because there is no service there. Soup with a huge content of sunflower oil with a bone instead of meat, brought cold, a boat with spoiled cottage cheese instead of cheese...Tasteless... Abkhazian lunch for 500 rubles with over-salted 4 pieces of meat, hominy is something (((All impressions of the trip were spoiled by these shallots on begerga, a smelly paid toilet and disgusting "food". The lake is wonderful, but everything that needs to be demolished around is a quiet horror .... If you are tourists from Russia, do not repeat our mistake, take food with you. I understand there are no normal cafes and restaurants in Abkhazia (. I have been to various poor countries, such as India, Thailand, but nowhere have I seen such a disregard for tourists (((. I understand that people are not to blame that the authorities are not doing anything to improve the standard of living there... but at least normal tea can be served in cafes or restaurants? are the authorities to blame for this too? Even a cup of tea for 200 rubles! brought the colors of %eyes... How can this be sold?
The trout was overcooked, they said to remove the black skin and sprinkle with salt
Pilaf is rice porridge
The kebab is overcooked
The boat with meat and cheese was also ruined.
Ruined the gastronomic tour
Ritsa is a sooo beautiful place! The proximity of water, mountains, and clouds is breathtaking. The cafe cooks delicious and fast. The kebab is amazing, the meat is incredibly delicious in Abkhazian!!!
Here, in the Grotto cafe, gullible tourists are led by well-fed guides, everything is too expensive and not tasty here. The staff is not very polite. The plastic tables are squalid. If you walk a little further, literally a hundred or two hundred meters in the other direction along the coast, you can find many cafes with prices twice as low and with a much more pleasant interior.
