A wonderful place. We took an excursion for the whole day from Almaty. I definitely recommend getting here. We were in October and a little unlucky with the weather, but in case of rain, you can buy a raincoat here. We sat in a cafe overlooking the lake. It was delicious and very warm.

A decent road to the lake, only in one short interval uneven (waves) asphalt, 4G coverage in place (I had a kcell), horseback riding, catamarans and boats for rent on the lake itself, a restaurant (for some reason without a toilet), a paid toilet almost nearby, the possibility of hiking on the Average and Upper Kolsai along the trails (5-10 km). It is better to have comfortable shoes, warm clothes and a raincoat with you, it rains almost every day.

If not, then the Almighty has given you a great opportunity not to waste both financially and not to waste your time on a dangerous flight. There is everything for the joy of the soul and your eyes, and the temperature is just different from the heat of the city. It's cool there, it's really cool, sometimes it can rain. It's beautiful there guys! Beauty asks. And the road itself is worth a lot... I'm not going to paint it here, you have to see it for yourself. We drove our car, spent the night in a yurt (we paid 15,000 rubles for the family for the night), it was fun, outdoors, it was cool at night, turned on the gun for heating. Perhaps you need to visit all three lakes to get a complete picture of this corner, but after admiring only one, the most accessible lake for an unprepared tourist, there was no desire to return. The view is beautiful, yes. There are a lot of people, there are just crowds on the trails. In some places, an intrusive service in the form of horseback riding. Dirty paid toilet. If it wasn't for the canyon, we wouldn't have gone on purpose.

The place was frankly not impressed. It makes no sense to travel 300 km from Almaty to see the same thing as on BAO, only of course if you do not decide to climb above the first lake. It's higher and more interesting, but it's quite a long way to go. Of course, you can ride horses, but I personally did not like the smell from them.

An overrated landmark, in my opinion. After the Ritz, it's not impressive at all. It's a very long walk from the parking lot. To get to the catamarans, you need to go through the forest. It seems to be gentrified, but we were walking after the rain, it was a little hard.
Catamarans are dirty and wet in the morning. The price tag is high to ride. There are a lot of inadequates who let children steer
