They are required to visit. The price is 700 rubles, it was in September 2014. Huge caves, an interesting 1.5-hour tour. When We were there , it was 14 degrees in the cave , although we took sweaters with us , but in fact we never used them .
The caves are magnificent and stunning. It takes your breath away!!! I advise everyone from young to old!!! My children were delighted at the age of 14 and 10
The cave is just super!!! The tour lasts about 2 hours. There is a lot to see in the cave. It will be interesting for both children and adults. A must-visit!
It's an amazing place, like you've been to another planet. I highly recommend you to visit. We visited in June, we did not take extra clothes, you can take a plaid there for a small fee.
An interesting journey into the interior of the mountain. It's amazingly beautiful. But to get there in July, we stood in a long queue from noon for 2 hours. And they could only buy tickets for 18:10. Because local guides come up without a queue and buy tickets for their groups.
New Athos is a sea of impressions, sensations, it is a must-visit, boilers are not worth the attention they write, well, water, well, emerald, it takes a long time to descend (especially if it is very hot in summer)if you don't rush anywhere, you would visit every corner of this city, places! It's atmospheric and beautiful, the soul is flying!
Everything is just a plus! I was at an organ concert on July 27, 2024. It's just a miracle!!! This is very unusual and will be remembered for a lifetime!
It's just a miracle of nature! The tour flew by in one breath, everything is very beautiful and interesting!!!! We didn't regret going!!!a lot of emotions
The place is simply gorgeous, it is definitely worth visiting here. You will be surprised by the beauty and grandeur of this cave and you will definitely not regret it. So don't even hesitate to go!
A grandiose natural structure, huge caves, vaults, shocked by age and antiquity, transitions are very well arranged inside, the guide shows interesting moments with a laser pointer and illumination. How nature created all this and how long it took!! And we just came to look at the bugs in the moment..
The place is really very cool! I was just shocked. The length of the cave is 3 km, 1.5 km is open and equipped for visiting. There are 9 cave halls in total, 6 are open to the public. The highest point is 100 m from floor to ceiling, there are two underground lakes. I advise you to visit, you will not regret it.
I've been to the cave several times. The guides are knowledgeable and loving people. They tell a very interesting story. There are several lakes in the cave, beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, and bats can be seen. I recommend taking a jacket to visit, because the cave has only 14 degrees and high humidity. This is an unrealistically beautiful place! I recommend you to visit!
It is very exciting and wonderful to be in such a place! Fantastic! It's stunningly beautiful in the cave! There are swans, ducks, ostriches, peacocks in the park, and there is something to see.
What you will see in this cave is worth seeing. The underground world. 200 meters of stone thickness above your head. Look for places in some other Czech Republic, and here there are a whole kilometer and a half of transition differences, after 15 minutes of a small subway. A cave world where there has been no man for a long time. You will not be in the skin of a speleologist, but once you need to see and feel it.
A very beautiful temple, extraordinary power, the area occupies a decent one, there is an active monastery on the territory, many fans and tourists come to see it.
I liked everything very much, the service is excellent, not intrusive, the locals suggested where it is convenient to leave the car, there were no problems with safety, there is a mini market with souvenirs, I bought a folding souvenir knife with a corkscrew for wine, key chains, pleasant impressions, I was the second time, and I did not regret it, Abkhazia is a very fertile land.
The cave is stupid.the beauty is indescribable.a very unusual, insanely coy place.I recommend going there.enjoy the stone landscapes .the temperature inside is 14 degrees, but we were constantly on the move and it wasn't cold.if anything, you can take a blanket.))
The cave is something amazing! The tour takes about 1.5 hours, each hall has its own music selected. There are only 6 halls to view and they are all different. The only thing is that the queue at the checkout is huge.
The cave is large and consists of 8 halls, but 6 are available for visiting. It is quite cool in the cave, the temperature inside is always 14 degrees. An electric train (MINIMETRO) takes you inside the cave, the journey time is 3-4 minutes. We liked the 6th hall, where the largest stalagnat is located, like a stone waterfall, it is really impressive. Concerts are held in one of the halls with good acoustics. The longest pedestrian bridge has been built in the cave. And there is also a blue lake, very deep. It is difficult to get into the cave on your own, there are very long queues. First of all, tour groups that have a pre-arranged reservation are allowed to pass. The cost of admission for adults is 700 rubles, children under 8 years old are free of charge. For photography, you need to pay 50 rubles. separately at the cash desk to the left of the entrance. Blankets can also be rented to visit the cave.
There is a descent and ascent to the cave in trailers, there are about 5 of them, they arrived at the opening by 9 and the people were already there, everyone who came on their own buys tickets for the sessions that remained after the purchased groups that came from travel agencies. 14 degrees in the cave, blankets are distributed at the entrance.
A very interesting creation of nature. It is better to arrive by 9.30-10 in order to stand in line less. The tour lasts 1.5 hours. It is possible to rent a plaid
It is a very beautiful and unusual place. But with such a flow of tourists, there is only one ticket office. Huge queues. There's nothing to breathe in the heat. But after this torment, when you want to go to the cave, you plunge into a fairy tale. It's +14 in the Cave and it's real. It's cool there.
A very interesting place in Abkhazia is the New Athos Cave, I advise you to visit this place. The ticket price is 700 rubles per adult, children under 6 years old are free of charge.
A one-time visit is interesting. Be sure to take a jacket with you, the route lasts 40 minutes, you can take a plaid for a fee. The guide tells an interesting story.
The entrance ticket is 300 rubles. It is 400 meters uphill. The view from the mountain is very beautiful. A fortress with modern restoration. There was not enough: descriptions of the fortress, history.
A place to visit. No photos or videos give you what you feel in these huge stone spaces. From practical recommendations: take a blanket at the entrance (100 rubles, very necessary, it's cold there) + tickets are sold only for cash. July 2024 - 700 rubles. So prepare the cache
An amazing tour, how many caves and grottos have been visited before - this one will be remembered. The first is an amazing guide: her good literate story with a wonderful voice (unfortunately, they did not remember the name). Secondly, I really liked that there is a musical accompaniment from ethnics to Bach, and the last 2.5 years just flew by in this underground kingdom of time. I advise you definitely!!!!
One of the available wonders of nature that can and should be viewed. The scale is incredible. What can we say about the size, if a train is taking you inside. There were 3 times and always a storm of emotions. There are people who are afraid.

Recently, my family and I visited the New Athos Cave in Abkhazia. I was here as a child and was pleasantly surprised that the cave retained its former appearance and atmosphere. The cave impresses with its scale and natural beauty. It became a real adventure for the children – they enthusiastically looked at stalactites and stalagmites, listened to the guide's stories about the formation of the cave. The tour was well organized, the route was thought out so that everyone could feel like an explorer.
One of the main advantages of this place is its immutability. The cave looks the same as I remember it from my childhood, which made me feel nostalgic. This is a great place for family holidays and educational excursions. I recommend everyone to visit this amazing place and immerse themselves in the mysterious underground world of the New Athos cave!
At least once it is definitely worth visiting the cave, the extraordinary beauty created by nature is impressive. The tour is accompanied by a guide, whose story makes the trip to the cave even more interesting.
Huge queues for an hour. Guides constantly come running and pick up 50 tickets for the near future. There is no separate cash register for them. Plus overbooking from nearby parking lots and cafes. Plan your time in advance or get ready to pay twice as much to get to the nearest outlet
The cave has not changed in 10 years...(a joke). The lighting has improved, the railings are now made of stainless steel, and the caves are still impressive in their size and beauty
The New Athonite cave is something extraordinary. I really liked the tour, the guide told me interesting things, the whole route was accompanied by organ music, mysteriously beautiful and fascinating. Each hall is majestically beautiful in its own way, a lot of photos and videos were taken. But do not forget to buy a ticket for video and photo shooting, otherwise you will be fined😉
An interesting place. The visit to the cave is organized. After buying a ticket, we go through and get on a train with small closed wagons - like a subway, only a small one. When the train fills up, the doors close and the electric train starts moving, we go deep into the cave. Upon arrival, everyone gets off, the train leaves, and the tourists are picked up by a guide with a microphone, the tour begins. It's an amazing place. The scale is fascinating. The guide does not let you relax. Everything is organized. The whole group goes from site to site along the passages, where the guide carries away interesting facts and explanations. At the end of the tour, go back to the small train and goodbye.
I liked it very much.
The only remark, for everyone's information, is that when you buy tickets for an excursion, there is a tent nearby, where it says on a poster "50 rubles for video and photography permission", Many people paid, we did not. When the tour began, the guide said that video and photography are allowed, it is forbidden to shout and push, be polite to each other. In short, no one understood why those who wanted to take 50 rubles at the entrance. On the other hand, it's good that it's not 500.
It was the second time, and still the scale of this underground kingdom is amazing. And besides, in the summer heat it is very pleasant to visit + 14. I think the next trip to Abkhazia will not do without a visit to the heart of the mountain.
A must-visit. Take the sweaters. If you buy tickets yourself during the season, it is better either early in the morning, at 9, or after 4 days. There are much fewer queues then. And so you can spend 2 hours in the heat.
And also - payment in cash only, keep this in mind.
We visited the caves "on our own." We bought a ticket, with a queue of guides only, in 3 minutes. And immediately went to the caves. A group of 35+ people. Permission to take photos was not needed. An interesting tour and guide. Beautiful lighting. I didn't regret going at all, the expectations were worse.
