The multi-level train station is very interesting to build. With escalators, elevators, large lobbies, good signage, and children's play areas. There are a lot of staff. The train station is worthy of imitation.
But there are two interesting features: there is no public transport to the airport; taxis (Yandex) do not approach the train station - you need to walk 100 meters in order to get in a car. Due to the lack of competition, bomb drivers are asking for an increased (approximately double) price. This is motivated by the fact that you have to pay for entry / exit from the station. Taxi drivers are (extremely) polite and friendly. They are negotiable and some share information.
For reference: from Nurly Zhol to Astana-1 railway station and bus station, you can take bus 14, 48
A large, spacious, modern and safe train station, I would especially like to note the work of the staff, correctly and informatively, inside there are all services from a supermarket and a coffee shop to a san.node, convenient exits through escalators to platforms. Inside there are comfortable seats and large information boards. City buses arrive at the station and there are no problems with taxis. The building itself is beautiful and bright.

The main gate of the railway in the capital, the Nurly Zhol railway station, is becoming the most important departure point for many, both Astana residents themselves and visiting guests. It is very convenient for passengers to move here in the form of elevators, escalators also take them to the platform itself, in any direction where the ticket was purchased. The kind staff of the station will tell those who come here for the first time, or who are not familiar with the infrastructure of the new railway station, how to understand the huge building of a modern structure.
Many thanks for the service corresponding to the main starting point of the country's railway - the Nurly Zhol railway station.
A huge railway station. There are a lot of waiting places! Huge elevators. Escalators. These are all advantages!
You can get lost, but all the railway workers were willing to help you navigate. There is an exchanger.
Among the disadvantages - there is no Internet and a small hotel!!! The hostel is not for everyone (we would rather have a separate room)- we didn't dare to stay with strangers. I had to look for another hotel at night (thanks to the administrator - I distributed the Internet - we found it)
As far as I understand, this station is called "new" because there is also an "old" one. The station building is very large, there is a lot of free space on the floors, large panoramic windows, but the station is almost empty. Apparently, because it's new, not all railway tracks lead here. I saw more people only on the ground floor, where you can apply for documents, there are exchangers and cafes. There are cafes on other floors as well. The navigation is quite clear. The elevator has a floor plan. And in case you don't understand something, you can always contact the staff - very friendly and smiling people, they will tell you everything and show you!!!
A great train station. The scale is impressive. There is everything you need to relax and spend time between transfers. You can put your things in the luggage room and walk around the beautiful city of Astana, or you can relax or work in specially designated areas, recharging equipment.
The best train station I've ever been to. There is absolutely everything, luggage storage, shops, coffee shops, a small but very convenient capsule hotel, as well as a cafe for every taste and budget, surprisingly there is even a small laundry room with washing machines and dryers. There are many toilets and they are in a clean condition. Just love, not a train station😍😍😍🥰
A wonderful train station! Convenient location, exits to the platforms
are very well organized!
Waiting room, boutiques, ATMs and other
amenities!
The station is the face of our beautiful
capital! He always warmly welcomes
residents of the capital and guests of our vast country, called
KAZAKHSTAN!
Здравствуйте, вокзал очень необычно спроектирован , есть всё необходимое для путешествия, также можно вкусно покушать, взять сувениры близким, а также можно отдохнуть под музыку домбры, всем добра.
We made a hub of an interchange hub as a terminal at the airport, only at the airport planes have everything you need, technical services are working, they are preparing for flight, the building is huge here and passenger traffic for such volumes is small, spaces and parking lots and commercial premises inside the station are simply idle, you pass huge spaces of empty territory to enter the station, and the exit to the train is where what train I am not informed by the information board above each of the tracks which train is where I have to go to the main board and look at which way the train is
An excellent modern train station is warm unlike the old one , there are places for charging , there are enough snack bars , information boards are conveniently located . There are elevators and it is quite convenient to get to the boarding places in principle
The railway station of the average category turned out to be a pleasant place for travelers. Cleanliness and order create a comfortable atmosphere here. The staff is polite and ready to help. The train schedule is strictly observed, which makes trips planned and convenient. The presence of cafes and shops at the train station allows travelers to quickly and conveniently replenish supplies before traveling. Overall, my impressions of the medium-sized train station remained positive, and I would recommend it as a convenient place to start or end a train journey.
Positively impressive right up to the moment of going to the toilet 😁
All the greatness and admiration from this undoubtedly amazing project, all this organized space combined with the flavor of the country and modern technologies falls apart when you look at the restroom.
Probably to get grounded a little after such a beautiful station 😁
Beautiful new railway station, looks like an airport. Big. There is an elevator and escalators. A waiting room with a digital scoreboard. There are also shops and cafes. The platform can also be reached by elevator. I really liked its technology.
It's clean, spacious and tidy, the managers will always tell you, there are a lot of coffee shops and the kitchen is basically good too, while waiting for the flight, there are enough buses and taxi drivers to leave the station.
I love Astana, a comfortable railway station, you can leave your luggage for storage, reasonable prices in cafes and restaurants. It is always more convenient for me to come by train to this kind city from Russia.
Beautiful big train station. BUT, while it was new and on the eve of the Expo, the level was kept, and this is "hello, where are you going, etc." they stood on each escalator. In fact, the station is difficult for me in terms of orientation, and when with a heavy suitcase, and this is sending the 4th floor waiting for the 3rd arrival. You have to carry all this, and if the car is parked on the street far away, inside, then try to find both the first and second basins for those who have arrived. I would call it a maze. It's beautiful and sunny in summer, spring in winter, and it's cold in the waiting room in a jacket.
I recently visited Nurly Zhol railway station and was pleasantly surprised. The staff is polite and professional. Cleanliness and order are at the highest level. The service staff made me happy with the comfortable waiting areas. I will definitely use this train station again!
A huge and empty train station. It's cold and not cozy. While waiting for the train, the children have nowhere to play. It would not hurt to make playrooms for children, expand catering at reasonable prices. The station staff and security are always polite, will help and prompt.
Everything is fine, everything is at hand, I get there without traffic jams, the location is convenient. There are no problems with parking either. There are different shops. The staff is polite. And most importantly, the toilet is free 😀
The station building is very beautiful and huge! Compared to the old train station, the new one has everything big, everything is far away, you have to walk from the parking lot to the waiting room for 10 minutes, elevators, escalators, huge squares, but everything is organized so that you don't get lost. The station staff are everywhere and tell you where to go. While the station is used by 50 percent, there are not so many people and trains there, but I think in 5-10 years there will be an anthill.
I didn't like only the platforms in places where escalators descend from the waiting room, it's too narrow there and it's hard to get through at the time of boarding and disembarking, but otherwise, a wonderful train station!
The station is large, bright, very spacious, there is a food court, a children's play area, a phone charging station. Medical centers on the 1st floor, fast and inexpensive medical board services. It is a very modern and technological place, it is a little not thought out with navigation and it is not convenient to call a taxi, drivers do not arrive at the place of delivery, and the distances are very long.
A very good train station, warm and beautiful. The staff is active and prompt to help passengers, there are many cafes and shops, necessary service salons, the toilet is free.
A large railway station, a lot of space for people. There are different boutiques with different products. The bus stop is nearby, taxis are standing.Only taxi drivers charge exorbitant prices, five thousand tenge is charged to the presidential hospital in 20 minutes, in general, lawlessness.I liked the train station.
A new modern train station. There is a 24-hour currency exchange point (less favorable conditions than in the city). Elevators, squadrons, a large waiting room. The platforms have rain shelters. Everything is thoughtful and convenient.
It's the quietest place I've ever seen))) navigation problems. It's a little empty. But we were very pleased with the public toilets. They're pretty clean and there's no unpleasant mess. We are waiting for more traffic.
A modern train station, fresh design, everything you need on the road can be found in the shops inside. Convenient entrances and car Parking. There are places to relax while waiting for your train. Easy navigation 👍🏻
Greetings. Well, the station is big, there are directions where to go. You can ask if necessary . There are a lot of places to sit, but there are also a lot of people. It's beautiful, there is a bus and a taxi. Exit to 2 sides.
The station, Nur Sultan, Astana is steep, the engineering structure itself is unusual, very large and cold, the station attendant makes announcements in three languages, Kazakh, Russian, English. But minus the trains inside are often late, the trains are mostly old, and most importantly, the transfer in Omsk to Astana, the Kazakh train was on coal, the railway part was not electrified to Astana, the train was stormy, like the sea, they looked at the rails at the turn, the horror of wooden sleepers! The Soviet Union! But the announcements at the railway station are in three languages. 😄RS. when buying train tickets to or from Astana with a transfer in Omsk or Petropavlovsk, buy tickets with a transfer interval of at least two hours! Kazakhs may be late! a coal-fired locomotive and wooden sleepers make themselves felt! Good luck!
I often come to Astana. At the Nurly Zhol railway station, we are waiting in the station hall before departure. Upon arrival of the Arkalyk-Astana train, boarding the carriage compartment, the conductors are polite and attentive.
the train station is great, but there are nuances, especially when you are with a child with special needs and there are few very inva strollers for adults, and there are strollers with luggage if you add them too
A modern train station. There is everything you need to wait for your train.
The only thing I don't like is the empty and wide, cold, poorly lit passage at the exit of the station building.
A huge modern train station. But...for a first-time visit, it is not clear where to go for boarding. The squares are huge. There are no index fingers. When you get into the waiting room with difficulty, everything is fine there. It is convenient to go to the train on any path. There are a lot of cafes. On the 2nd floor there is a hotel. Children's room. Everything is clean and modern. I really liked the new train station.
I don't like this train station) it's very big and not cozy. Constantly wandering there) The old cozy, small and native station is better. And this is a good show for the guests, it creates an impression that is not bad.
A stunning train station, everything is thought out, bright, spacious, conveniently located exits to the platforms (tracks) I really like that you do not need to go up the stairs with your luggage, an escalator leads to each path. There is also a food court at the station, you can have a snack or take it with you on the road. One of the best train stations, as they say, we visit.
Honestly, I did not expect such a cool train station, the staff is very polite, the toilets are clean, there is a prayer area for women, everything is clean.
A modern railway station. It's a bit far from the city center, but the plus is that buses run here. There are many cafes, prices are higher than in ordinary cafes. The toilets are not always clean, the smell is appropriate. The hall is spacious, there are many places for those waiting for their train. The staff is polite, there are porters.
Large (but not fully functional yet) The luggage room is still like in Soviet times.( no cells, modern ones ) A woman is sitting in a small compartment (there is no price list - the cost is determined by eye) 🙄Escalators do not work periodically. There is a large train station, but there is no hotel at the train station (it would be convenient not to search around the city, but at the train station (- I had to stay a day because the plane was late) I missed the train, as a result. I really wanted to go to the hotel at the train station to relax and get on the train right away. There are a lot of flaws.
This is one of the favorite train stations where I had to visit. An interesting architectural solution is complemented by the cleanliness of the station itself, the cleanliness of the toilets, friendly staff. A separate plus for a good grocery store with adequate prices. A good food court area, but here for an amateur.
Of the minuses, I can single out only one: for visitors it is difficult to find where the taxi called has stopped, usually the whole explanation takes place on "fingers". Perhaps this issue will be resolved over time, if it has not yet been decided.
A large train station, where you can get confused, but very responsive and proactive staff help you quickly get to the right platform. It is not very convenient that a taxi does not approach the exit, you need to put a point not near the central exit, only buses pass there.
The structure is interesting, especially in that you need to take an elevator to get to the platform. A modern building, I was there once in August 2023, and I think that navigation is too difficult for an object with such a purpose. I think that the station should be understandable and it was possible to move quickly, especially for groups of passengers. And we had to walk quite far with our luggage from the place of disembarkation from the taxi - we couldn't get any closer (that's what the driver said). The entrance is not marked - you go and look through the doors. There were employees inside who suggested where to go next. We found the right lobby, took the elevator to the waiting room. When boarding is announced, the staff again indicate where to go to the platform. I got the impression that such a layout is suitable for crime prevention - people are constantly being cut off in small groups in cubic-shaped rooms. But at the same time, it is unclear how quickly passengers can be evacuated from the waiting room in emergency situations? They were released onto the platform when the train was already standing. Since the tracks are raised above the ground, it is obviously dangerous to let passengers onto the platform before the train arrives. In general, there are conflicting feelings - the station is new, beautiful, modern, but it seems to have been overdone with the Path to the future
For me, there are still a lot of improvements! Not all shops are inside, parking and walking to Peron is a little uncomfortable, sometimes it is difficult to walk with heavy bags.
As an architectural project and the face of the capital, of course, 5 points. But movement and navigation inside sucks, parking in front of the train station sucks, fortunately the buses run clearly, but there is much to strive for
A huge train station. There is a parking lot, cafes, shops, a large waiting room with places to charge cell phones.
You can safely spend 5-7 hours waiting for your flight.
Convenient access to the platform. There are escalators and an elevator.
If necessary, you can buy on the road at the minimarket.
It is a huge structure, it is inconvenient to move along the escalators with suitcases. It's a bit difficult to navigate where and where for the first time. The toilets are working, but there was no paper, napkins. I didn't find any trash cans in the waiting room. For the capital, such maintenance of the station is certainly not the level
It is very big, tourists can get lost. I've been there 10 times and already know how to get on the path. It seems like it's just a train station, but no, you were mistaken. There is a gym on the 5th floor where you can practice rhythmic gymnastics.
