Modern, beautiful, comfortable.
Friendly staff.
Everything is so nice and cozy.
Duty free.
The prices of locally produced alcohol are about a third higher than in the city.
Sweets are almost half as expensive.
Bread is more than twice as expensive.
The security guards searched with pens, felt from head to toe, even asked to take out the money in their pocket and show it.
2 AAA batteries were banned from transportation (!!!). And they did not throw them in the trash, but put them somewhere to themselves.
Use it, boys, I will not be impoverished!
The airport is very beautiful, especially in the evening the lighting is beautifully lit.
Inside the airport, everything is also quite beautiful and convenient.
There is a playground in the drive, my daughter spent all the time on the playground waiting for departure.
There are a couple of cafes where you can have coffee and a snack, shops and cafes were open at one o'clock in the morning.
Upon returning to the arrival area, while passing through passport control, the luggage was already spinning on the tape.
The bathrooms are clean.
The airport is new and small. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. Be sure to visit a smoking area, I have never seen such comfortable conditions in Russian airports. Since there are few flights, there are few people at the airport. You can exchange currency at the cash desk on the ground floor, or at enterprising people at the exit from the airport, the exchange rate is +/- the same. The staff is friendly and helpful, they explain and prompt everything.
A huge minus, of course, is the border guards, that's why I put three stars. The inspection is very thorough, which is even disgusting. They speak arrogantly, in broken Russian and English. For some reason, they decided that they definitely needed to take off their shoes, although the frame did not squeak. They also "asked" to throw away two lighters and nail scissors, probably a local feature. Such employees spoil the overall impression of wonderful Samarkand.
