There is a cool observation deck at the top of the castle. The zamak itself just smells like history) I visited several times and was satisfied all the times)
A beautiful castle, as well as the city itself. It is interesting to see and learn the history of the city, to walk around the castle.I recommend it to everyone to visit.
We came to Grodno for 3 days. We love excursions, a simple inspection will not give food for imagination. But at the checkout, a nice woman with a sweet smile informed us that we would not get on the tour - all the guides were busy. We literally had to pull out of her with pincers that we needed to make an appointment in advance. You can only sign up with the guides, but they are not available and will be available only in two hours.. It's a maze of some kind... Then it turned out that you can sign up for a tour, but only after two weeks))) everything seems polite, well-mannered, with a smile, but.. "No"! Okay. We looked like this.
In general, like all castles in Belarus: clean, whitewashed, plastered, fire signs glued, inventory numbers written. Immaculately soulless
The centuries-old history of my country, restored and preserved for us and future generations. I recommend you to see and enjoy the magnificent views of the beautiful city of Grodno from the observation deck.
The historical castle museum, one of the residences of Stefan Batory. It was restored not so long ago, the work is still ongoing. We came specially to Grodno for the weekend to get acquainted with the city and its history. My impressions of the city were very positive.
It's a beautiful place. You definitely need shoes without heels to visit the exhibitions in the towers.
The steps are high and narrow on spiral staircases. Local residents trade their needlework near the castle. Very interesting jewelry made of straw.
Beautiful castle. It stands almost at the highest point of the city. The views from the tower are beautiful and you can take beautiful pictures. Interesting expositions in the castle. Tickets are not expensive. Even Russian people with disabilities are free of charge
I advise you to visit, the exposition is so-so, but the view is very beautiful of the city, the Neman. Next to the new castle across the ravine, there is a large exposition.
I really liked the castle and the city itself. The city is clean, beautiful houses (architecture), churches, churches, synagogue. I advise you to take a look, you won't regret it
Small, clean, modern. The entrance fee is low, the aisles are all open. There are no souvenir shops around, and that's great. There's a New castle opposite, but I didn't go there.
A very interesting castle!
The townspeople are trying to preserve their history as much as possible! And the nature around is fascinating!
We went with the children! I highly recommend it!
The old castle was well restored. A very interesting and beautiful exposition. I wish there were free guides for those who did not book the tour in advance. And so everything is beautiful: the castle, the exposition, the surrounding views. I highly recommend you to visit!
The castle is interesting, the guides are well done: an excursion with a soul, they find an opportunity to send tourists on time to the observation deck to watch and listen to the bugler. I liked the tour.
The trouble with toilets (queues, you can stand for more than half an hour, "stuffy", dirty).
And the castle itself is beautiful and interesting. And the views opening from it and from it. One of the sights of Grodno. I recommend you to visit!!!
The main attraction in Grodno. You can and should look at it. Interesting. It's not a very large exposition, but everything was done with respect to the ancestors.
It is a very historical place, located on the Neman River. There are many floors, there is a toilet. The museum is absolutely free
A very fascinating observation deck on the river.
5 stars is a tribute to the authorities of the country, who find money to restore historical monuments. Everything here is done with a soul, for me a new model or not does not matter, for the study of history it does not matter whether you see the original or a modern copy. If you like authentic abandoned buildings, come to St. Petersburg, we have dozens, if not hundreds of such objects.. Everything is done wisely here, halls, playground, shops. You can park at the synagogue, there is a large, free parking.
Our family had the pleasure of spending one day in Grodno, so after breakfast we visited the castle. There are many impressions left from the visit, one of which is the bridge, where slabs are placed on top of the roadway, which somehow do not fit this castle. The castle itself was beautifully reconstructed and restored.
We were in the Old Castle. The installations are very beautifully made. Interesting. Excellent observation deck.
It is a pity that another part of the castle is under restoration. I hope it will be interesting in the future as well.
The most beautiful place in Grodno. A great place for a photo shoot. The view from the New Castle is impressive. The location and architecture itself are fascinating.
The perfect location for a photo is in this place. You can see the castle, the river, and the green grass) Inside the castle is very interesting, we liked it. You can climb to the top, there are very beautiful views from there!)
The castle is very beautiful, an interesting exposition, BUT. One huge thing, BUT you can't come and book an excursion right away, even an individual one. We were on August 3rd, and the nearest free date is August 15th!!! Customer orientation of the highest level!!!!
This completely ruined the mood and impression of the castle. A service of the scoop level. It's beautiful inside.
We were in September 2024, it is very interesting, I hope from the time the castle will completely become a museum and fully show the life of the rulers of that time
I boldly and unequivocally recommend you to visit! There are a lot of impressions! Beautiful views from the observation deck. It is a pity that its complete reconstruction has not been completed yet! There are days when admission is free: the last Tuesday of the month.
An atmospheric place. Each floor has its own expositions, the staff tells in detail, if desired, about the history of the creation of each hall. The panoramic view is impressive.
On a walking tour, we learned from the guide that there is a reviving engraving in the Old Castle and recommended it for viewing, but the museum staff were either too lazy to turn it on, or they themselves did not know about its existence, on the lower floors we were pushed to the upper ones, and on the upper ones down, we managed to view only a piece in some hall)
Restored Old Castle. 20 years ago there were ruins. It was nice to see. And how gorgeous it looks on the banks of the Neman! You definitely need a guide to tell the story of the castle.
The castle is still in the process of reconstruction, it will be fully opened only in 2024. There was almost nothing left of the antiquity in the castle, but they were able to restore it quite clearly, they did not really like the interactive exposition right on the windshields with exhibits. Prices for visits to the castle bite, but once in a lifetime it's worth a visit. There is a good souvenir shop in the castle with reasonable prices.
