The old castle was well restored. A very interesting and beautiful exposition. I wish there were free guides for those who did not book the tour in advance. And so everything is beautiful: the castle, the exposition, the surrounding views. I highly recommend you to visit!
We came to Grodno for 3 days. We love excursions, a simple inspection will not give food for imagination. But at the checkout, a nice woman with a sweet smile informed us that we would not get on the tour - all the guides were busy. We literally had to pull out of her with pincers that we needed to make an appointment in advance. You can only sign up with the guides, but they are not available and will be available only in two hours.. It's a maze of some kind... Then it turned out that you can sign up for a tour, but only after two weeks))) everything seems polite, well-mannered, with a smile, but.. "No"! Okay. We looked like this.
In general, like all castles in Belarus: clean, whitewashed, plastered, fire signs glued, inventory numbers written. Immaculately soulless
They did not get inside, as the cash register was being closed for registration. I didn't want to wait for the queue that was already standing to pass and then another 10 minutes after the last person
The castle is small, there are interesting multimedia, the halls show, in principle, the way of life and decoration of ancient times. This is one of the main attractions of the city, it is necessary to visit for completeness and impressions of the city
Cool castle, it will be even better after the restoration is complete. We went as a family, the children were satisfied. After the visit, my wife wanted to read the story about the Bathory. The views of the city from the castle are stunning.
The exposition is small, but quite interesting. The price of a visit is low. There are several videos broadcast on the walls of the premises. A very good souvenir shop (you can buy paintings by a local artist and baked clay dishes for a penny).
The view from the observation deck is very good.
I was in the Old Castle in 2018 in the midst of work. I liked the museum's collection. I am glad to see a good replica of the former ruins. On the gate grille, I noticed the monogram SR, which I could not identify myself. Explain what it is? I fell in love with Grodno for its extraordinary cleanliness and unhurriedness. With the wish of prosperity to the city and all fraternal Belarus NP Salokhin Professor OmSTU Omsk PS Will the material of Igor Lapehi's layouts be used?
A very beautiful castle both inside and out, rich decoration, wood trim. It's a pleasure to take a walk and get acquainted, it's worth visiting this castle!
The castle is being restored by erasing history. I was surprised that the Almighty was depicted with the face of Zeus... Apparently the artist knows better... There's not much left, but there's a lot to see. It is better to visit with a guide, if you can find an adequate one, it will be cool! I advise you to visit with your family and friends! There will be something to discuss and remember! The scenery is just great!!! A historical place for Belarusians!
A beautiful place. The view from the side of the fire column is fascinating.
Restored castle. Staff who will tell and prompt.
When interviewing a local - the castle is recommended first of all)
I really liked the reconstruction and the approach to restoring the elements. All I needed was an audio guide, of course the signs are good, but it's much more interesting to look at and listen to.
An interesting exhibition, worth a look . Not much of the castle is open, but it is quite normal for an easy tour. There are exits.on the observation deck on the tower of the building, beautiful photos can be taken
I really liked the castle, the friendly and courteous staff. Minus for the small number of exhibits, for the fact that almost everything that is presented in the museum is copies and replicas. I really liked that the price of an adult ticket is lower if you visit the museum with your family, together with your child.
The castle is very beautiful, an interesting exposition, BUT. One huge thing, BUT you can't come and book an excursion right away, even an individual one. We were on August 3rd, and the nearest free date is August 15th!!! Customer orientation of the highest level!!!!
This completely ruined the mood and impression of the castle. A service of the scoop level. It's beautiful inside.
A worthy place to visit. It looks very textured from any angle. Entrance is paid, but not so expensive, there are benefits for children, students, pensioners, etc. since the castle is actually recreated from the ruins, something sky-high should not be expected. Multimedia clearly tells about the history of the castle. The exhibits are not signed in Russian, which offends a little
Grodno is a little fairy tale. The castle is beautiful with platforms, something in European, unfortunately it was not possible to get there, the work schedule is limited.
a very interesting historical place. we were able to visit there shortly after the completion of restoration and renovation work. we took an excursion here in the old castle and opposite the historical museum. which I recommend to everyone.
A beautiful and picturesque place, but the old castle has not yet been completely restored, there are many historical and significant places nearby, I recommend it to everyone
An atmospheric place. Each floor has its own expositions, the staff tells in detail, if desired, about the history of the creation of each hall. The panoramic view is impressive.
It is very interesting, especially for those who love history. Beautiful views, authentic exhibits, and replicas are also well made. The attendants in the halls are ready to answer your questions and conduct a small tour. I liked everything and the impressions are the best. Belarusians are doing well, they support and honor their history. 5 points!!!
A beautiful, worthy place, in fact the castle is more than it seems, there is a lot of information about the exhibits, in printed and interactive form, I advise you to visit if you are in Grodno for more than one day, because the tour is not fast and you may not have time to see the rest of the city)
I liked everything about the castle and the gallery. And it so happened that on the holiday of May 9th, tickets to the castle were free. It was very pleasant.
I advise you to visit, the exposition is so-so, but the view is very beautiful of the city, the Neman. Next to the new castle across the ravine, there is a large exposition.
We liked the castle. A very modern presentation of information, there are electronic scoreboards, short films on the subject of the hall are shown on the walls with projectors. Beautiful view from the observation deck.
Just an atmospheric place! An interesting exposition and very friendly staff, who, as soon as you enter the hall, themselves offer to tell and show an interactive film!
A lot of new clothes, but it's interesting to try to get there before 12 o'clock so that you can see the trumpeter on the Tower from the observation deck
I was without a tour. A little limited in time. If you read everything, it's interesting, if you just run through it quickly, then it seems to me it won't be very clear. The caretakers generally answer questions. You can ask them.
I boldly and unequivocally recommend you to visit! There are a lot of impressions! Beautiful views from the observation deck. It is a pity that its complete reconstruction has not been completed yet! There are days when admission is free: the last Tuesday of the month.
I'm from Minsk myself, but I really liked the castle, everything is shown there in detail, for example: how the king lived. I advise everyone to visit this place.
To be honest, the old castle disappointed me a little. He's not very interesting. Although it's funny to compare Chita royal castle with the current living conditions compared to which, in my opinion, the kings did not live very well. Honest rooms are cold, well, and other inconveniences. Most of all, I did not like the appearance of royal persons who are more like toads. Probably it was not very humane rulers. And I would also like to leave wishes to the museum staff so that they somehow treat visitors a little kinder. In particular, the employee of the highest room, I mean on the last top floor. Although they can be understood, you sit all day in the same walls and just watch. Would it be the same if we built a creative society in which every person could work as he wants, would receive an unconditional basic income of 10,000 free housing from society and would not have any stupid flighty stupid greedy rulers over his head in any country in the world. Because in the age of high technology, it is very stupid to believe that we ourselves cannot manage society with the help of Internet technologies, and a hundred times better than it is now done by the hands of hundreds of selfish and not always good people. And judging by the faces of the rulers in the old castle in those days it was no better. And in particular, I do not recommend visiting the old castle to those for whom it is painful to overcome a bunch of stairs because there are a lot of them there.
5 stars is a tribute to the authorities of the country, who find money to restore historical monuments. Everything here is done with a soul, for me a new model or not does not matter, for the study of history it does not matter whether you see the original or a modern copy. If you like authentic abandoned buildings, come to St. Petersburg, we have dozens, if not hundreds of such objects.. Everything is done wisely here, halls, playground, shops. You can park at the synagogue, there is a large, free parking.
It is a very historical place, located on the Neman River. There are many floors, there is a toilet. The museum is absolutely free
A very fascinating observation deck on the river.
A well-restored castle. Even if not everything is observed with the antiquity, but on the whole it turned out very well. Excellent viewing platforms, good views. I would visit more than once
