An excellent complex. First-time visitors should take into account the steep internal steps. There is something to see. I advise you to read the history of the castle in advance. especially the war period of 1941-1945.
The most beautiful castle I've ever seen. It is perfectly restored and quite modern inside. Inside there are many exhibits related to the history of the castle and not only. There are also very beautiful rooms inside.
It is a very beautiful castle, although it is more modern. Those who like to climb stairs will really like it, there are a lot of them in the castle. Weddings are held in the castle with the participation of officials dressed in vintage costumes.
An interesting place. A small cozy castle an hour's drive from Minsk. Both the castle itself and the surrounding area have been beautifully restored. I advise you to visit.
A stunning castle, very well maintained, there are places where you will have to climb narrow spiral stairs, so it is better not to wear long dresses. I recommend shorts)))
Amazing architecture and exposition. Little attention is paid to the period after the Radziwills and the First World War. The castle itself is beautiful and atmospheric.
A very beautiful castle, an interesting tour, an exciting performance of the Scots in the courtyard of the castle. And next to the castle there is a small cafe in the old Gothic style, where you can try and buy delicious lard, meat and krambambula (national alcoholic drink) of local production
The castle "for boys" is brutal! There are no similar ones in Russia, so I actively recommend you to visit. Be sure to watch the historical reconstruction in the courtyard with a fight and an interesting story
Another wonderful castle. Everything is interesting and beautiful. Additional entourage was provided by steps of different lengths and widths)) vertically arranged narrow ones.. It took a lot of effort to climb up or down them into the next hall. It was not easy for people with disabilities and old age
Taking into account the fact that the Castle is only 100 km away from us, we visit there, sometimes passing through, then precisely for the purpose of visiting, not that often, but, so to speak, we do. And to our pleasure, and I think not only to ours, the Castle of Mir leaves a rather pleasant impression every time. In general, to be honest, in our country, whoever is responsible for maintaining such places in order should be given an order, well, or a medal, as a last resort). Of course, taking into account the fact that the Castle is 80-90% new and it probably does not require endless restoration work with itself, but it also requires a lot of effort to maintain such a colossus in perfect order! The same installers, hacking with short breaks, telling visitors about medieval battles, pay them, feed them ..., plus they are sober all the time!) I purposely came closer several times to detect the presence of a smell known to everyone or other signs of "this", always by!) On the other hand, when drunk, wave a halberd, you can easily grab your opponent's hand...) Also, next to the castle itself there is a tomb of the last owners, Svyatopolk-Mirsky. And on it, on the facade, there is, I'm not afraid of this word - a magnificent fresco of the Face of Christ, well, or Saved by Man-made, whoever likes it better. When I saw her for the first time, I lost the power of speech for a while, and I saw it from the road, it was an amazing sight. Moreover, there are photos of the military-post-war times, she also makes an impression there. And here the mystery is how she, that is, the fresco, survived all the turbulence of the 20th century, God only knows, or His Son, Jesus Christ) By the way, during the war, in its first months, there was a Jewish ghetto in the castle, the place itself was Jewish, well, when this fascist nit came, which Jews were not killed immediately, those were driven there, and who went there themselves, no one knew how it would all end... And it ended the way it usually did at that time, it ended... Local Jews gathered in the castle from 1.5 to 2 thousand people, well, they were gathered, taken away from the castle for a kilometer, where they were shot lower and all, and our local collaborators, policemen and so on took the most active part in this case. Today, there is an obelisk monument at the place of execution and burial, a very sad place that, in my opinion, requires a mandatory visit... Although, this place is not a tourist destination and it will be quite difficult to find it without knowing... However, if you want, the locals will probably tell you) Still, a little further to the village, there is a Catholic church, also an interesting place. As a nice woman who was there told us, this church in the two thousandth received a new rector in an almost dead state, without a roof and half the walls... But today, it is a fully functioning building, with all the attributes of a religious building.. And now you wonder how people managed to restore it, taking into account the fact that there are only eight Catholic families in the village of Mir... Well, summing up all of the above, adding to this that there is still a pretty good museum in the castle itself, which is also desirable to visit, the place definitely requires our attention! Oh yes, there's still a restaurant there! A very attractive and very nice place with, again, very decent cuisine, but about it in the review directly about the restaurant. Something like this... Good luck to everyone!
Beautiful, definitely beautiful. I do not recommend climbing to the top of the towers. There's nothing to see there except the panorama, and your legs will hurt. Stop at the level of a cook from the time of the near-war. A woman with an ironic fate. And a minus point for the fact that there are too few halls for such a price. But that's just my opinion. It is definitely worth a visit.
Beautiful castle, everything is fine except the restaurant. We tried to have dinner, there were no dishes available that we would like to try. Breakfast was also a failure. We were alone in the restaurant, it wasn't very tasty, but most importantly we had to wait a long time until we were discharged. Not all staff can calculate customers by card
The castle is like a castle, I liked it more in Nesvizh) although there are a lot of locations for photos in Mirsky, there is a small park area where you can take a quiet walk. But the cost of 2 rubles for a photo on a wooden throne is somehow too much ... stop ripping people off.
It is beautiful, interesting excursions, but there is a very significant disadvantage - the system of regulating oncoming flows of visitors along narrow spiral staircases in towers has not been thought out at all, with the slightest carelessness there will be a big traumatic situation.
I really liked it! Beautiful view. You can plunge into the Middle Ages) it would be possible for workers to make clothes in the style of the castle, it would be amazing in general
We were with the child and both were delighted! We climbed all the towers and galleries, watched the performance, shot with a bow and crossbow, squeaked and cannons! We went to the restaurant basement! I really liked the tour and the excellent guide! I really liked everything, we probably spent 5 hours in the castle and the park next to it! A must-visit! I recommend it! 👍🏻🇧🇾
If you are lucky with the weather, the impression of the castle will be enthusiastic, we had the sun, 26 degrees Celsius, the courtyard and exterior are admired, they are very tasty in the cafe, near the gate to the castle on the road, you can eat and drink beer on the veranda, this is for those who got on the tour without lunch, there there are tents with souvenirs, and horses running around the fields , there is a souvenir shop inside the castle, it's expensive, but they took magnets in the form of a castle, and there are cornflower hair headers for girls...they were not met either in Minsk or in Nesvizh, there is a restaurant inside the castle, but we did not go...
When visiting Belarus, you should definitely visit it. The exposition is very interesting. And you will be provided with physical education, it is very interesting to go through all the towers and walls.
An excursion to the Mir castle complex will help you learn your history. The reconstruction was carried out at a good level. I recommend you to visit, you will not regret it.
I liked everything. Well-groomed territory, guides, atmosphere. It was the third time since the last visit, with an interval of 8 years. The chapel had not yet been restored. The territory has increased and become prettier. There are many mini-cafes and souvenir shops.
Mir Castle is beautiful! We walked through the halls, walked along the walls, climbed the towers, walked to the temple, sat down for a picnic on the other side of the lake with a view of the castle. Babble!
We were in Mir castle on excursions with children, 11.10 years old, everyone liked it) unusual, interesting transitions between towers. In the courtyard of the castle, we also got to the performance of the Scots, it was fun, easy, humorous, and children and adults were very interested in weapons that could be touched and photographed after the performance. Overall, the impressions are very positive. The only drawback is the lack of an opportunity to have a snack. In the restaurant in the castle, we took the last table, but we did not manage to eat (the gastrofest had to be ordered in advance, and the rest of the dishes had to wait 1.5 hours. In order to find out, I had to wait for the waiter for half an hour (it's clear that it's a long weekend, a lot of people, and if you can get into a position with a gastrofest, then you could somehow prepare with the rest of the dishes, however, as well as with the number of waiters!!! But there are no hopeless situations - we managed with French fries and pancakes from a mini-cafe in the parking lot! And the sunny day and the weather, new impressions made our day wonderful!
A stunningly beautiful castle! In addition to an external inspection, you can go inside the complex and visit the museum. The museum is also interesting, there are many things that belonged to the owners of the castle, and just from the Middle Ages. Very beautiful trellises, worth a look!
Great place. A well-restored castle from 1520, once belonging to the family of Princes Radziwills and in recent years before the nationalization of Svyatopolk - Mirsky.
A place that attracts tourists.
A high level of guides in the castle. Here you have information, theatricality, and the involvement of travelers in the game.
Restored or stylized objects, furnishings, amaze the imagination. You can fantasize, as it was in the Middle Ages.
It was cool to stay at the castle hotel and feel the atmosphere from the inside.
From 20.30 to 21.30, the castle is illuminated. Great shots, a super walk when there are a minimum of tourists and a maximum of immersion.
It was interesting to overcome the steps in the narrow passages of the tower, then my legs ached.
Near the park and an artificial lake, which offers excellent views of the castle!
A very interesting castle, beautiful. We went around the outside and visited the inside. It's worth a look. What I didn't like was the stage and the cafe in the courtyard. I think that it can be arranged from the outside, without violating the visual integrity of the castle picture by modern money-making.
A beautiful, picturesque and atmospheric place, a clean pond, a beautiful park,a shady alley is very helpful in hot weather, the territory is very clean and well-groomed, I recommend you to visit!
An interesting place. You should definitely plan to stop there if you are traveling from Minsk to Brest. There is something to see. And of course a delicious meal
Great and amazing! We were on a weekday, the whole castle was at our disposal!!! The staff is very friendly, the guides are on top! We were with the children - they are delighted! The restaurant also deserves attention: everything was delicious, the atmosphere too) Come and you will be delighted!
The place is simply gorgeous to visit. I highly recommend it! We came to the castle on July 29-30, 2023. We booked a two-storey suite for a day at the castle hotel (room 301). We were together with children aged 5 and 10. The room is magnificent, atmospheric and cozy. The children were delighted and did not want to leave the room. Since there is only one double bed in the room, we decided to take an extra bed for the older child, it turned out to be a high-quality, sturdy cot with a mattress, pillow and bed linen. The extra seat cost only 30 rubles. The room had everything you needed and even more, a refrigerator, hygiene and cosmetic kits, plain and sparkling water, bathrobes, slippers... Everyone at the reception is very polite and friendly! In general, it's lovely. There is a well-groomed territory around the castle, where you can walk. The lake! Take fishing rods, you can fish right near the Mir Castle! The children didn't catch anything, but they were glad anyway. But the fishermen said that the fish was being caught. The museum in Mir Castle is the most gorgeous, colorful, many exhibits of that time! It is clear that everything is taken care of and taken care of! The children liked the stairways in the castle walls. It was a little scary for me, the steps are very steep, but the children turned out to be what they needed. The courtyard of the castle is cozy, there is a restaurant and a cafe, but we did not go there. We had lunch at a restaurant on the other side of the street called Mirum. Everything was very tasty, the service was at a high level. It was nice to have lunch and look at the Mir Castle. Not far from the cafe there are tents with fast food and various souvenirs. In general, you can talk for a very long time and there is something to talk about. This place is a must-visit! And I strongly advise you to stay at the castle hotel, it's just unforgettable to be in the castle itself with its history and atmosphere. It gets dark late in the evening, the castle lights turn on, there are no tourists anymore, the streets are empty and walking along the Mir Castle it seems that the whole castle is only yours....very romantic...
P.S. we haven't seen any ghosts in the castle)
An extremely beautiful and interesting place.
There is both a hotel and a cafe.
Of the disadvantages, there are problems with the movement of people in the fortress itself, the passages are not large and traffic jams are created for climbing and descending from the towers
We were with the children, everyone is delighted!!! Very cool. During the tour, I will plunge into the past. Interesting locations, attributes of a past life, ascents and descents of narrow stairs, wooden floors creaking with age. Mannequins dressed in ballroom outfits, and it seems that they will spin you in an old waltz. Skins and heads (stuffed) of wild animals, horns of hunted (my guess) animals. I recommend it for a family holiday!!!!
The castle is majestic, beautiful, the original architecture of the temple, behind the castle, visited the underground prison, walked along the walls, climbed the tower, observation deck, narrow spiral stairs with high steps, many rooms for inspection, with interesting exhibits, I recommend you to visit.
Beautiful views. A small park. It brings up very pleasant thoughts, although there is a sadness and a sadness. Especially when you remember the chronicles of the war years in which the World was brought into the ghetto.
Be sure to visit. A real medieval castle, it looks very impressive. The courtyard is amazing: like in the movies, paved with stone, everything is real, + appropriate music. Polite staff, reasonable cost of the tour. We also visited the museum with great pleasure (it is included in the ticket, and it is gorgeous). The children liked it very much, and the adults would love to!!!
We were on an excursion on May 11, 2024. A beautiful castle, a wonderful guide Julia interestingly told us the history of this castle. There are a lot of tourists. A beautiful lake and amazing nature! Cleanliness!
It is a very beautiful castle, there is something to admire both inside and outside. Beautiful views all around. Parking space. Cafe. Minus - you need to move in only one direction during the inspection along the arrows. I think it would be more correct to be able to set priorities for my own money - what I want to see first and what then.
A perfectly restored castle. There is something to see and where to walk. There are a lot of medieval armor in the museum. There was a great performance outside. My wife and I really liked it.
A wonderful historical place that allows you to plunge into the Middle Ages. A reasonable price for admission to the museum. There is a restaurant on the territory of the castle where you can taste Belarusian cuisine
The complex is based on a real medieval castle! The hotel is very decent, there is a restaurant and a cafe with burgers. There are hotel rooms with stairs and a second level. In short, we felt ourselves in the atmosphere of the 16th century with the current comfort. A completely new feeling. An interesting museum, especially for those who are interested in history and geography. On the territory, animators-reenactors entertained the people well.
Yesterday I arrived from Minsk, went on a three-day sightseeing tour from the Rus agency. The trip made a great impression, everything is organized clearly, without failures, the guides are excellent. Unfortunately, the weather failed, on the first day rain, wind, froze on a sightseeing tour of the city. In the following days, the rain spared us and we enjoyed visiting Mir Castle and Nesvizh Castle. I am an age person and it was somewhat stressful for me physically, I had to walk a lot, but I coped.
I really liked Belarus, there is nothing to complain about.
Beautifully restored castle. If you want to explore with a guided tour, then you need to book earlier. There are no free guides on site, but they can offer an audio guide. There is a cafe on the territory of the castle, but delicious food is served in the cafe that is located outside the territory. If you plan to visit two castles: Mirsky and Nesvizh on the same day, it is better to go to Mirsky first, because it works an hour shorter
I really liked this castle, both inside and out. There are many halls, you can climb into towers, go down into dungeons. The children were also very interested
We stayed for one night in hotels at Mir Castle.
I highly recommend it.
The room is modern with a touch of antiquity.
The only drawback is there are no breakfasts. There is a restaurant on the territory of the castle, the prices in it are inadequately inflated.
At 6 pm, tourist groups begin to leave and the castle and the park are completely in your disposal. It's so nice to walk through the dark alleys. The castle becomes a fairy tale.
It is also very pleasant to walk in the morning along the pine alley along the pond, to dream on the benches.
Beautiful castle) were at a concert in the courtyard of the castle at a concert, and on a tour of the castle. I really liked it. I advise everyone to visit.
A great place with a lot of positive emotions!
One of the main attractions of Belarus, a must-visit.
Everyone will find and learn a lot of new things here.
It is better not to limit yourself to one castle, but to explore the village itself - on the square of which it is worth paying attention to the church, the church and the very atmospheric surrounding architecture. I also liked to have a snack in the establishments near the church.
