Very dirty and so-so hospitable. Sellers, of course, are different, and there are good ones. A large selection of fruits, vegetables, and more. But! I don't want to go a second time. We've already done shopping, and then these same sellers will get hysterical - I won't sell three lemons and pull the bag out of my hands, or sell terribly salted meat, assuring me that it's perfect. The one that you try, don't take my word for it and get ready to mirror the negative.
I went to shawarma here, I was shaking for 2 days, then I came to myself for a week, most likely salmonella or E. coli... There is a cafe at the entrance, it is one where they sell burgers, shawarma, etc. So don't set foot there... In general, if you are from Russia, the market itself will be a colorful place for you - dirt, dogs, stink, gypsies. You can see it once....And forget
It's a good market with a pretty decent selection of goods. Stunningly delicious smoked meat! It's just wonderful!
There is also a good selection of fruit and vegetable products, spices, fresh meat, dairy products. There are also souvenirs and clothes
There is everything!!! There are products for the exquisite culinary creations of true gourmets, and for everyday breakfasts for a large family!! Prices can be shifted almost everywhere with the help of skillful bargaining!!
Everything you need vegetables, fruits, fresh fish and a lot more can be bought here.
Basically, the service is normal, so if you are in Sukhum, then come in, I hope you will find everything you need.
The usual crowd with a bunch of sellers, many who write that they like to bargain, I did not notice it, or maybe because I took only food, or maybe because I compare it with Turkey and Tunisia where it is absorbed with mother's milk to bargain.
The market is like a market, the choice is huge, all sorts of different things, the staff is like in all markets, who is market, who is calm, who is agile, who is arrogant😆 vegetables, fruits, meat - everything is always fresh, they give the right to choose, some put it themselves, but they never gave anything bad! On the 2nd floor, meat, if there is no minced meat, and it is very necessary, cut the meat into small pieces and send it to "chebureks", they grind it for 20p / kg, a very convenient function😁
It is a picturesque place, we always shop here if we visit Sukhum. I really like the tent with olives and the stall with local alcohol - a sincere aunt works there! Spices, wine and tea are on the second floor!
The market resembles the 90s of Russia. A lot of fruits, things from Turkey. You can find an exclusive. Some sellers have terminals for payment with a savings card.

I really liked the Sukhumi market! A huge abundance of fruits, alcohol, soda, nuts, churchkhela, spices, coffee, tea, souvenirs. All at very low prices, compared to Russia. I advise every tourist to visit there, it is a very colorful place!
This is a market like in the USSR of the late 1980s. You can find everything from used items to household appliances. Separate rows for food and manufactured goods. We like to shop before leaving for our homeland
For those who want to return to the 90s, I recommend to visit. The market is divided into clothing and grocery. At the clothing part of the market, you can buy anything: clothes, shoes, household goods, souvenirs. On the grocery part there are shopping malls with vegetables and fruits and shops-tents with cheeses, sausages, etc. and even wine. All good pitching. Prices are lower than in Russia. You can bargain.
We bought all the goods. Cheeses, smoked meat can be tasted. It's a little scary to take wine and so on - here it's at your own risk. Choose vegetables and fruits. They don't want to bargain when they see that Muscovites are even more so
There is a poor choice of meat, but they still chose a good pork, tenderloin. It is difficult for me to judge prices. I had a feeling that I had been deceived. But I didn't figure it out, because I didn't want to spoil my mood with razbrrki
Just a tin can! I'll never come here again. Traffic jams are terrible, it wasn't even the season. Qigong is everywhere! It's better to take what you need on the way))
It's very dirty. There should be an exemplary order in the capital and sanitary requirements should be observed under control, now everything is the opposite, the Gudauta market is much nicer and cleaner than in the capital. Shame on the market management and the city administration!💩💩💩
There is a large selection, at good prices, and as for a tourist it is generally fine, you can bargain and leave with bags of fruits and souvenirs! I recommend it!
I love southern markets so much. Just walk around the rows and look at the mountains of vegetables and fruits. These amazing smells of fresh herbs and seasonings.
However, prices there in 2023 were higher than in St. Petersburg. One consolation was that everything was local and fresh.
The market is a very atmospheric place, you can find anything from fruits and vegetables to Soviet-era cup holders! There is a corner with animals: pigs, chickens, ducks and geese. Sellers will tell you where to buy something they don't have.
Nostalgia of the 90s -00
The central market allows you to buy everything from food to locally made and imported bandages (Coca-Cola is prohibited, etc.
ATM(95% of cash payments)
Review 2024
In fact, the market is like a market, everything you need is there! Parking nearby is difficult! There is also a parking attendant who cuts cabbage from tourists;)) Not from my own!
The overall impression is positive. But the Abkhazian salt at a price of 300 rubles / kg at a price in Voronezh stores of 80 rubles is, of course, too much.
A vacation in any city should definitely start with a visit to the market, so to speak, to feel the local flavor. Sukhumi is no exception. I recommend buying something homemade, we really like cheeses, adjika, jam, churchkhella, and pastries, and a lot more, for every taste and purse. In general, there is everything here and the prices are quite reasonable, no one has canceled haggling. Come here!
There is a mixed opinion, it is dirty everywhere, prices are quite high, everything is much cheaper in any market of the Crimea, clothes are completely unsanitary next to food, cheeses and sausages are not sold in refrigerators.
A portal to the past)) Like the old Soviet market. However, the prices for tourists are not at all attractive. And the range is not too wide. At least inside the building on the second floor. You climb up the old dilapidated steps, and inside the raw meat is 700 rubles per kilogram ((in Novosibirsk, for example, 450) Then the dried meat is some kind of unleavened. Various seasonings in bags.Bay leaf brooms. Liqueurs. And cheeses. Smoked cheese was sampled at 800 rubles per kilogram. It tastes very much like pigtail cheese.
The place can be viewed from the point of view of filming films about the times of perestroika and the collapse of the USSR. Time stood still at that moment.

There is a good market, there are all Abkhazian products, and there are plenty of local fruits. We bought tangerines, 30-40 rubles/kg, lemons 40 rubles/ kg, oranges 50 rubles/kg. At the entrance, a woman sells various fresh fish, we bought mullet, 300 rubles / kg and mullet, smaller than 200 rubles / kg, larger than 300 rubles/kg. We were in early January of the 25th year. Payment is accepted in cash and by transfer.
Dirty, but delicious! They took fresh pita bread, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. They realized that the words of the merchants "all their own, from the garden" are bullshit. Uncles are walking with carts from the warehouse. We bought greens, normal ones, from my grandmother, from the garden, followed by my uncle with a cart, who ships her more . But it's still delicious. We need to go
This is probably one of the best markets in Abkhazia. Yes, it has changed a lot, since my last visit 7 years ago, it has become more confusing, it has grown a lot. But the prices are still very, very pleasing.
I liked the market, there is a large selection, prices vary, bargain. We bought a bunch of 3gk hazelnuts for 150p kg, fresh bay leaf, 100 on a string, but in the outback I saw a bush for 50p, expensive fruits, homemade vegetables at a good price you can take from grandmothers, 100 tomatoes, 70 cucumbers, the most fragrant teas for 150p per 100g or a glass, souvenirs on the second floor, cheeses wine is not They took it, but a lot of people buy it. Take cash with you, not everyone can make a transfer
There is a good market, there is everything, prices are 2 times cheaper than at the hotel. You can take a minibus back. You can buy gifts for everyone when you go home
The second floor, a covered room, we highly recommend not buying spices from my grandmother, firstly I hung a couple of hundred, secondly all the spices are open and upon arrival home I saw that they are teeming with bugs, apparently I will have to throw away a kilogram of spices (and this is sorry about 2 thousand rubles)
A good market, causes nostalgia for the markets of the 90s. There are products, things and souvenirs, prices are reasonable friendly sellers from the aitar boarding house there is a minibus #5 (30₽) or bus #2 (10₽).
Raw smoked meat 750 rub kg. Homemade without any pumps and additives. Cheeses of all kinds. The sellers are polite and unobtrusive. But the cleaning is suffering.
The choice of goods is huge, and the quality is good, the staff is not good everywhere, cleanliness is two, and the main disadvantage is that incomprehensible cowboys in hats will ask you for money for free parking-

A colorful place, it reminded me of the 90s, the days of childhood.A real market with gypsies, tea sellers on carts and ruins of everything in the world. You won't find that in Moscow. You can buy fruits, cheeses, meat and even clothes with furniture.A great place for both nostalgia and tourist shopping.
A good market, you can bargain..minus, it is difficult to park the car. We took a lot of things with us to Moscow, it was good that there was a refrigerator in the car, suluguni got there without any problems)
There is absolutely everything on the market, from alcohol to socks, shoes, locally harvested teas, local spices and seasonings, nuts, household supplies, do you smoke a lot? Cheap cigarettes are right here.
The only thing that the Gypsies cling to, they say, buy this and buy that, and when you stop, they give you half a stall of clothes if you're a jerk)) And if you refuse, then they safely reduce their persistence, and as for the prices with the gypsies, bargain until thawed and you will have trousers not for 5 thousand but for 2))
An interesting, unusual place! At some points, you feel like you entered the market 2-3 centuries ago. For the first time in my life I saw how flour is sifted and sold from the counter, funny, unusual! Some of the sellers are in traditional clothes. Many things can be bought cheaper than in stores.
Quite an atmospheric place, the Market is a place where you can find everything). The prices of goods are comparable to Russian ones, some are more expensive, some are cheaper.
It's a cool place. You come to the market and you find yourself in childhood, when you used to visit the markets on weekends. You can find everything you need
We stopped by to buy things. Something that costs 60 thousand rubles in Russia. They bought it for 21 thousand.!!! There are a lot of things, mainly Turkey.
We love to go to this market upon arrival in Abkhazia in Sukhum. There are groceries upstairs, things downstairs. There are many shopping malls around .
