The pool is cold, although they say that they turn on the heating. The food is delicious, but the breakfast is just porridge somehow not very good. It is located in a beautiful place. We are currently staying in this hotel, living in the attic, 4th floor. This is the worst thing I've ever seen. They gave one towel per person. They said that living in the attic 2 towels are not allowed!!! I'm shocked. This is at least the level of the hostel for 500 re per day. So don't book an attic. The food is pretty decent, you won't be hungry

We stayed at the hotel from June 25 to July 5. There was no hair dryer in the room. I had to run to the reception every day and ask for a hairdryer. There are also no shower gels and shampoos in the room. The room is cleaned every day. The bed and towels were changed after 5 days. The food is monotonous every day. I can't even call the hotel a good one. The mattresses are terrible!!!!! The springs are sticking out! They put a blanket over it so that it would be at least a little more comfortable to sleep. The walls are thin, you can hear everything and everyone. Neither bed linen nor towels have been changed in 9 days. Cleaning the rooms for visibility. The food is very monotonous: chicken, pork, buckwheat, pasta every day for lunch and dinner. Soups are absolutely not meat. Meatballs are generally something with something, one rice. Crab salad with one rice. Breakfasts are more or less: delicious homemade cheese and cottage cheese. The queues are stupid all the time. The pool is not heated. I do not recommend it.
We got to the hotel for a very long time, until everyone was taken away and the driver didn't seem to really know where to go, circled. We drove back quickly.
The places here are very beautiful, a waterfall, greenery, the sea for 15 minutes, cafes where you can have a delicious meal and drink oriental coffee.

Super excellent location!!! In the very heart of Mount Athos. Evening walks are wonderful!! The caves are 500 m away, the station of Ptsyrtskha is no further, and it takes a minute and a half to walk to the waterfall from the gate.
In summer, it's probably better not to find a shopping mall from the river, it's cool in the evening. We rested at the end of September, and it was hot in the afternoon, and in the evening we dressed very warmly if we went out for a walk to the waterfall.
It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the sea. It didn't seem far to me with a baby in a stroller.It was further and more difficult to walk from the SochIparKotel to the sea.And here it was even pleasant and interesting. There is a lot to look around. 🤪
The dangerous staircase in the new building is, I think, a temporary phenomenon.
There is an elevator in the main building. It's a little inconvenient that the elevator is between floors. He only gets to the attic. But you will still need to climb one flight of stairs from the hall. This is a minus only if you want to lift a stroller with a sleeping child.
There is a play area for children between the 3rd and 4th floors, lots of toys and sofas.👍😃
There were a lot of children. Two kittens were running around on the territory of the boarding house, so the kids doted on them😂😊
I liked the pool on site. But the trouble with the Internet is direct. There is no hope in the evenings.
The staff is helpful and friendly. The food was acceptable in the dining room.
P.S.The most important disadvantage (but this is a minus of the city, not the boarding house) is the absence of a pediatrician. There is not even a paid reception. The nearest medical facility is in Sukhumi. Or go to Sochi. Keep this in mind if you are traveling with children.

The only advantage of the hotel is its location. But considering that there are literally a lot of hotels nearby, in this sense the Waterfall is not exclusive.
That's all the advantages at the end of April - beginning of May are over! Of the declared ones: the pool, the Internet, the arrangement of the room according to the chosen category, there was nothing. Having been in Gagra for 4 days at the Amza hotel (who was there, they will understand me), having fallen into a Waterfall, it feels like they have fallen into a temporary settling tank.
We also stayed here for 4 days, and during this period the cleaner never visited the room, nothing changed, despite the fact that they approached, asked, left the key at the reception.. But we are not used to begging, and even for 4 days.. somehow it was not important in terms of cleaning - we did not get dirty)). The pool was not ready for the start of the season, it just wasn't there. We have already written reviews about the Internet here.. I had to buy a local SIM card and enjoy the connection not only in the hotel, but throughout Abkhazia, the benefit of the A-mobile mobile connection was at the highest level. The telivisor worked only within the limits of channel 1 of the Russian Federation and that's it.
The bed in the room is just a separate song. I will back up this creation with the photos below.
In general, there is nothing else in the room except a refrigerator on the floor, a closet and a bed. They have a type of new building, built apparently hastily, with a complete lack of noise insulation, with a flood on the balcony after even a little rain, well, with all other negative attributes.. About a hair dryer, tea set, iron and other "excesses" I will humbly beg))
In general, the Waterfall was very disappointing.. In previous years, I visited other hotels of N. Athos of the same owner - Grand Athos and Rodina.. Well, the impressions are not very good either, especially from their cuisine.. It's kind of simple, homegrown!
Therefore, if you have a choice and thoughts about hotels, do not choose these three hotels even despite the presence of a swimming pool, it is not worth it.

Great location. A nice courtyard with a swimming pool - we swam in May. The food in the dining room is disgusting, the dining room in the worst sense. The room is dark, the elevator between the floors - the suitcases were barely dragged. The room is spacious (2 rooms, it seems to be a suite), with a balcony. There is no Internet from the word at all, no kettle either (bought at the market). A child in the "spider-Man" children's playground by the pool picked up a tick. And then the horror began🤦♀️ A helpful guy from the reception took me to a local hospital. The paramedic immediately bit off a part of the tick visible on the surface with forceps. I had to take a taxi to Sukhum to the surgical children's department. The whole day was ruined. On the plus side: the staff is very responsive! And the maids and the reception. Everything is nearby - a waterfall, caves, a monastery, a park. I really liked the location and the local cuisine in the cafe (be sure to go to the cafe next to the caves). We had a rest from 5-10.05 2019

I'll start with the cons: 1- (lived in September 2022) in a new building)… noise from a nearby hotel (disco?).. in fact, it's not scary 2- food to anyone, but.. there are no trays (I took a plate, put the soup and that's it... I have to leave and put it back for the second one... there is no salt and pepper and napkins on the tables, if you want to add salt to the salad, you go to the distribution, pour from the jar into the palm of your hand and go back to the table. 3- audibility is through S.. like in old movies (sneezed neighbors wish you good health) so somehow on vacation at 5 a.m. to hear the TV from the floor below ... it's not interesting at all.PROS: to whom as.. the main thing is that everything is nearby, the people are friendly and generally did not regret a bit

Good rooms (refrigerator, air conditioning, TV, kettle, clothes dryer), freshly renovated, attentive staff, food,-there are no frills, but we were not hungry, our own closed territory, and most importantly, this is a great location-everything is within walking distance. One disadvantage is weak wi-fi , but this is not the main thing in a vacation. They were in May 2021.

They don't publish my review with photos...shocked by the room in the attic. You can see from the photo what the room is like. One towel per person, there was no towel change in a week. And this hotel positions itself as a 3*. There is not a single shelf in the bathroom, soap and soap accessories were simply placed on the floor in the shower. This is the first time I've come across such numbers.

The impressions are not unambiguous.
Very poor nutrition is so noticeable that by the end of the rest they are just sick of their food, the staff of the boarding house are not very friendly, especially the girls in the dining room.
In building number 2 on the 1st floor, the doors to the room could not be opened or closed without male help at all, because of this there were many scandals from the guests.
New Athos itself is a very beautiful city, there is something to see and where to go.
If we go there again, it's definitely not a Waterfall!

By the way, they put salt on later, otherwise there was also one for everyone)) after that, we went to the room with two towels and two glasses for three, the room was a maximum of 10 sq. m. although it should have been 18, the cot for the teenager was standing in the doorway and he had to sleep with us because something was sticking out of it and digging into his back, the toilet closed itself and for two hours we could not get into it we sat waiting for the maid to come and open it with a knife. In the photo, the front door in the toilet is the same. They were repeatedly picked with a knife. The front door, as well as the toilet, locked itself. In the morning they woke us up and brought us a new mattress. It didn't work out to sleep and relax properly at all because there is no sound insulation at all and you hear what the neighbors are talking about at 6 in the morning. Two adult aunts were given a room with one bed, they were in a panic at all)) the pool is heated without heating. The plates are dirty in the photo, a plate with hair after I took a picture, the staff began to sort things out with us about what I took a picture of. Eventually they found this plate and were scared among themselves, we did not come to this dining room anymore, in general, when I read the reviews, many wrote that the writhing is very tasty, what do you eat at home if "this" tastes good to you!? The beach is high from the hotel, the city is cool next to the waterfall hotel. I advise everyone to visit the New Athos cave, it's just space!!! There is a hotel SVK that looks very decent and it has a cafe. It's a pity that we went into it on the last day of rest, all the dishes are very tasty for three people, the check came out a little more than 2000. And also be ready to buy SIM cards if you need Internet in the waterfall, it is not available only at the reception...everything is for people and the crowd is sitting there with laptops and gadgets))) the circus in general! Sim card 100 rubles + 500 one gig or unlimited for 790 total 890 ×3 = 2670 for a week for the Internet or sit at the reception! Although I rent a room at every step, there is wi-fi. I really liked it in Abkhazia, but the service in the waterfall is zero and we don't set foot there anymore!

We rented a junior suite for 5500 with breakfast in the 1st building. Junior Suite, Carl! The junior suite consists of two bedrooms, where in one room there is a double bed, in the other a single bed. All the walls are shabby, the rooms are smoky, there is mold in the bathroom and toilet. I was struck by the toilet throne of the Villeroy & Boch drama. Where does such luxury come from? These toilets are at least 40 thousand each... One door in the shower cabin is broken, a curtain was hung instead. There are holes on the sheets from dilapidation. Of course, there is no hair dryer in the room. Forget about the theme of slippers, toothpaste or even shower gel. Instead, there is a dispensary with liquid soap in the bathtub. Wi-Fi doesn't catch at all. Among the advantages are balconies in each room, air conditioning, excellent location, there is an outdoor pool on site, the staff is very friendly and always helped. Breakfast? Well, sooooo - liquid porridge, cheese, butter, soy sausages, omelette, bread, tea "lisma" is an economical option, but I am not pretentious in this, I am normal

I contacted the reception about this mess and they sent me a boy to fix the shelf! I came to rest, not to a construction site where repairs are being carried out!!! There are no doors between the rooms of the room, and I came with my wife and child. That is, sex with my wife is basically impossible. Cleaning the room 1 time and then somehow. Kitchen, this is generally a topic for a separate article, in short: the most delicious food (this is how they feed homeless people in our city for free), the level of the Soviet canteen. It's good that they didn't have suites at the time of my order, I paid even more for the same g..., because they have the same thing in the suites. Well, the dining room is generally a separate topic, how many times I travel for the first time I saw that pearl barley, buckwheat, rice, pasta were given for lunch. I had a rest at the boarding house in June 2021. The location is good, the sights are within walking distance. It is stated that the beach is 300 m away, in fact it is about 1.5 km to walk, but it does not bother - the passage along the cypress alley, past small stalls and cafes. The rooms are good, the cleaning is ugly. Employees forgot to take out the trash, change towels, and had to be reminded. Two people "work" at the reception - a constantly surprised girl Sofia, who answers most questions "I don't know", and a sad Roman, who will at least answer the questions intelligently, but on his shift the counter is usually empty, he hides somewhere and has to turn to other staff. Meals are a separate song, three meals a day and for very, VERY unassuming tourists. The menu is not very diverse or it is such a saving - oatmeal porridge and some other kind for breakfast every day, at lunch and dinner - always spaghetti and buckwheat, buckwheat and spaghetti, when suddenly they give potatoes, they just snatch it up. Salads are either such green lettuce leaves, or grated carrots, or cabbage with peas. It seems there was only one slicing of cucumbers and tomatoes. There is no fruit. Drinks - tea bags and cheap coffee in the morning, compote in the afternoon, tea bags and cheap coffee in the evening. Dessert is the same mannikin every evening. And - queues! There is a queue for every meal in the stuffy canteen. We went to nearby cafes for lunch and dinner - both tasty and inexpensive. The Internet is thick, then empty. In the room, I caught only in one corner. In the evenings, everyone sits at the reception, it catches the best, but it also crashes at times. There is a swimming pool, we did not swim. The sea is wonderful, the beach too. Upon arrival, they give bracelets - sun beds and umbrellas on the beach are free of charge. The most important thing is that there is almost NO CASH. Take the cash. There are only two ATMs in New Athos - Sberbank Abkhazia and near the cash desks of the New Athos Cave. The rest is wonderful, but do not expect more from this boarding house, the service is zero.

The kitchen administrator is a very evil person, to take food away from children when they do not want to eat at 8 a.m., but want to pick it up and eat later - at least not humanly, not to mention the pro-branded hospitality. Dry food is not provided, even if you take an excursion from a local representative, despite the fact that absolutely any excursion is superimposed on at least one meal, but no one cares - you can not take food out of the dining room. The rules are invented on the go and immediately glued to the wall...But such people, alas, are everywhere (( The food is monotonous, but generally very decent.
The main building is located in an old building with beautiful balustrades on the balconies, it is freshly renovated inside and in general it is quite normal for such an amount. The administrators of the hotel itself are all very pleasant and friendly.
Sometimes there were interruptions in water and light, mostly at night, but the hotel has a generator.
We were satisfied with the price-quality ratio. If wi-fi wasn't constantly falling, it would be 5 stars) and so, the letter could be sent for an hour or two, so it won't work

I liked it here. The boarding house is not yet 10 years old, i.e. it has a modern layout, IKEA furniture, well-groomed territory, there is a small swimming pool. It is located near a waterfall, in the evening in silence you can even hear the sound of falling water. It's 15 minutes to the sea, but it's even nice to walk along the shady cypress alley.
