I had a rest in September 2023. Of the advantages, only the location . The rooms have disgusting mattresses, lousy lighting, a broken toilet seat, a missing toilet paper holder, black mold in the shower stall. I didn't like the food, instant coffee from an iron can, not a single fruit in two weeks, not even an apple, fresh vegetables once... The staff is absolutely not friendly, there is nowhere for non-smokers on the territory... I do not recommend it

We rested in the first half of October 2021, a beautiful place, all the main attractions are nearby, within walking distance, it's nice to walk to the sea for 15 minutes, in the evening there is a place to walk, a beautiful pond in the center, a park. Cafes, bars, everything along the way. A boarding house with its own territory, quiet, cozy, a small Playground, a good swimming pool, children swam in October. The food is homemade, delicious, simple, no one left hungry, very pleasant staff, especially the girls from the dining room, until everyone was fed, they did not close. The room is nice, with a balcony, comfortable beds, refrigerator, air conditioning, everything you need. I really enjoyed my vacation, I would like to return!!!

It was the first hotel in Abkhazia that I had a chance to visit. However, as in Abkhazia itself. I must say right away that fastidious and always grumbling users will not like it here, especially because, due to the rise in price of Turkey, they decided to go to Abkhazia. My wife and I go primarily on vacation, and living conditions remain far in the background. But let's start in order. The food in the hotel is at the dining room level for 250-300 rubles, the first two to choose from, the second and a couple of side dishes, no greens, lettuce, carrots, cabbage. Drinks - tea and fruit drinks. You will not stay hungry! The rooms are small, but not cubicles, typical sizes for an inexpensive hotel. Maintenance - daily wet cleaning, garbage disposal, towels were changed 1 time in 10 days, as well as bed linen. Well, okay, you can survive. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. But the most important advantage of the hotel is its location! You can say this - in the epicenter of all the sights of New Athos. The sea is no more than a 15-minute walk away, the hotel has a heated swimming pool. Relax with pleasure, as the nature of New Athos is amazing. The abundance of attractions will not let you get bored!

Good location, beautiful territory, but it doesn't pull for 4 stars. There was no hair dryer or personal hygiene products in the bathroom, a broken shower door was covered with a curtain, only 2 towels. In the room, the TV hangs crookedly, the Windows looked out on someone's yard, where in the morning the rooster crowed and dogs barked.

We have just returned from this hotel. Previously, we only vacationed abroad (Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece) Of course, you will not see such a service here. We must be ready for this. We lived in the second building. The walls of the room are covered with wooden boards - the room is dark, but we did not stay in the room too long. The view from the balcony is awesome. Wi-Fi catches well. Air conditioning, refrigerator, electric kettle. There is an iron on the 1st floor.What I didn't like - mattresses, it's terrible!!!! All the springs are felt, a blanket has been placed, but this does not save either. There is no hair dryer in the bathroom, there is not a single shelf or hook, you do not know where to put bath accessories. The territory of the hotel is beautiful, everything is green, there are many benches, the pool is good, there are enough sun beds for everyone. The most important advantage of the hotel is its location!!!! All the sights are nearby, there is a place to go every day. 10-15 minutes to the sea, it didn't bother. Its own equipped beach with sun beds and umbrellas. Food - to call it a buffet, the tongue does not turn))) Complex meals, as in the school cafeteria. 2 types of porridge, cottage cheese, eggs, cheese, sausages, 2 types of soup, 2 side dishes and 2 meat dishes, vegetable salad always. Fruits are not given. Almost everything was edible for me. All I needed was a coffee machine, like in Turkish hotels, and a water cooler. There was coffee only in the morning, the cheapest CofePele. Nature is awesome.

I liked the rest.
The pension is located in a very beautiful location and within walking distance of the caves, the Anakopian tower and other interesting places. The food is delicious. Very helpful staff, a girl with black hair, wearing a cap and mask, who works in the dining room (I never found out her name) is just a cutie)
The room did not have the best lighting and sometimes smelled like sewage, but it's okay.
In general, everything is fine, I would like to come again. The cypresses are beautiful and I really liked the monastery!

We were at the hotel for the May holidays, a three-night tour. There is a lot of greenery around, a waterfall two steps away, an abandoned railway station, the New Athos Monastery, the Semeon grotto.
There are cafes and shops nearby. The sea is also very close.
The advantages of the location of the hotel are endless!
We had an Attic room, it does not match the description in the advertisement with the one where we were settled. A dark, semi-basement room with a damp smell.
The cleaner met us and first of all showed us where the bleach solution is to pour into the sink and into the shower - like from the smell.
The sheet is torn and does not cover the entire bed, the blankets are only half of the duvet cover. The window is high and opens outwards- you need a chair back to get the sash and close it. But there is no chair! And there is no table, there is something covered with leather with holes. There is a kettle, but there is one outlet for it for a couple with a refrigerator. Mugs and tea are not included with the kettle. There is no hair dryer in the room, but you can ask at the reception.
Dining room - we got to dinner, there was spaghetti, stewed cabbage, pilaf, cutlets and soup. The soup is actually broth, because the potatoes in the soup on the third person are over. There was also bread and lettuce leaves. Drinks include mors and tea.
At the reception, they could not help us move to another room, they said that everything needed to be solved through the tour operator. We didn't waste any time and went to another comfortable hotel.
By the way, the operator did not contact us, the excursions were taken on the street.

A great boarding house. The girls at the reception are just smart. The rooms are clean, the garbage is taken out every day and the room was cleaned every other day. The towel and bed were changed every 4 days.
The buffet is not varied, but they cook very tasty, they didn't even stay hungry after the rest :-). Women in the kitchen thank you very much for your efforts, you cook for vacationers from early morning until evening. Everything is fresh and delicious, especially meat in different sauces.
The guy in the dining room named Shako is such a hard worker, he always wishes you a pleasant appetite. He manages to rub the tables and bring food if something ends. I appeal to your leadership to give this guy a bonus for his efforts.
The location of the boarding house is excellent, there is no loud music. We walked to all the sights.
New Athos is a holy place, we will return more than once.

We are resting in a boarding house directly at this moment, parents and 2 children are having a family vacation, so we took a suite, the room is gorgeous, they clean it every day, I asked them not to come in, because everything is fine with us. It is actually located, everything is within walking distance. We have to walk to the sea, but it doesn't bother us. About the food:everything is basic-2 porridges for breakfast, 2 soups for lunch, side dishes and meat for dinner, plus salad, cottage cheese or eggs for breakfast, and a side dish with meat for lunch is also there. Everything is quickly brought up and changed, for which special thanks to the employees. Yes-no frills, but everything is fresh and delicious. The combination of price and quality is just perfect, if you want fruits or sweets-please, any whim, but it will definitely be according to your desire, and not some green apricots...

If sleep is important to you, then you are definitely at the wrong place!
We did not sleep all nights in this hotel. Terrible audibility, you can hear every rustle. Drunk hotel guests were having parties in the hallway at 2 am, including music and singing songs! It's like there's no door.
There is mold in the bathroom, the room is dark. A terrible mattress, it was sagged and deformed, which is why I got a severe back spasm and went to the doctor after a rest, barely made it!
On nutrition: there are normal foods, but the stomach stopped from the cutlets.
Hotel visitors are mostly uncultured people, they drink alcohol in the dining room, fight for food, they discussed their vomiting at night every meal ...
They really didn't like that two days before closing, they removed drinking water to the question where it was, they said they took it away!As if people didn't pay for these 2 days. We should not worry about the preparations for closing. Also, 30 minutes before the end of the dinner, the staff enjoyed cupcakes in full view of the visitors who did not get them! I sympathize with adequate people who accidentally got here. 2 stars for the location.

So, we visited this hotel in the period from 1 to 10 June. We drove perfectly from the airport to the hotel, were greeted warmly, and were given a room on the 1st floor in the main building.
Later, at my request, they changed to another room on the 2nd floor, because the view from the balcony overlooked the dining room, where everything was very close)
The hotel is located 2 minutes from the waterfall and this is a huge plus for those who appreciate the beauty of nature.It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the sea and it didn't bother me at all...you walk through a park where you can look at animals and feed them if you want ...
The sea itself is cool in early June but quite acceptable for swimming.
In general, everything is fine except for some things..exactly:
All days (I'm not exaggerating) we were fed buckwheat, pasta and rice.There were potatoes 2 times. Honestly, I love buckwheat, but I'm sorry for lunch and dinner for 9 days, don't you think this is too much???? There are no trays, you can handle your plates as you want
On the last day, the compote was diluted to a state of colored water without taste.I wrote this in a nutshell...I don't want to be too negative, but please think about nutrition! You can't do that, really...
I liked everything else, the staff is friendly, there are no questions.

We are resting in this hotel now, we stopped by on 09/5/12.
To say that it is bad to say nothing.We settled in without any problems, the room is attic, 4th floor.
We open the door, and what we see...the ceiling is taped, one Soviet lamp with a shade,no bedside tables, a small cabinet with 5 miniature hangers.
Water gushes out from under the toilet if you sit down on it.in short, the horror..well, we think maybe we'll get lucky with food))The queue is 20 people in front of us, 30 behind us.The so-called Shvets table was very impressive.yesterday's side dishes and some strange casseroles (either liver, or minced meat)The omelets are icy, and you won't look at the first dishes, especially borscht, with live beetroot.I don't want to eat for the second day, I have a gag reflex from this food.
Tables are wiped with some kind of gasket, without disinfectants.
Dear tourists, I do not recommend coming to this hotel.

I rested in the Waterfall on the 20th of May. I liked everything. But I must say right away, I'm not a picky tourist.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and executive. The room is modern, in a new building, comfortable bed, cool bed linen. They cleaned cleanly. The reception is very attentive to requests, helps with various issues, for example, you can ask to call a taxi.
Thank you very much to the chefs and canteen staff for the delicious and healthy food, very similar to diet food, there is no fried, but everything is insanely delicious! They are fed 3 times a day according to the type of buffet - there are several dishes to choose from, their own pastries.
The location of the boarding house is very convenient - near the sea and all the main attractions - the waterfall, the railway station Pcyrsha, the New Athos Monastery, the Temple of Simon Kananit, his cell, grotto, Seaside Park, the New Athos cave, Anakopia fortress, Stalin's cottage and the nature around is amazing.
Take warm clothes, sneakers with you, it can still be a little cold in May, a raincoat will also not be superfluous. Earplugs may also be required - from loud neighbors in the room (in the new building, the audibility is good).
Wi-fi catches only in the lobby of the boarding house in the main building, a little bit with interference, but it's a good way to take a break from the hustle and bustle.
There is also a manager of a travel agency in the lobby, which offers interesting excursions, for example, you can go to Lake Ritsa.
Be sure to try khachapuri, khinkali and boats, meat in Abkhazian - we were in such restaurants as "At the Swan", "Delicious like mom's", "Three plane trees", "At Rai" and we liked everything there.
The impressions from the trip are the most positive, I want to come back here again!

We had 2 rooms, both rooms were very dark, that is, the wallpaper was black, there was not enough light in the rooms at all, there were 1 light bulb in each room. I wanted to escape from the room. The bath has no curtain at all, the water flows wherever it wants. The bedding was never changed, but it was cleaned every day.

The hotel is terrible.
The food is terrible, monotonous and bland. It often seems that yesterday's dish is mixed with a fresh one. No fruits, meat-free soups for the first, buckwheat and budget spaghetti are almost always side dishes.
They lived in a "new" building, they had to climb a wooden creaking rickety staircase.
I don't know what the walls and doors are made of, but the audibility was such that until all the neighbors fall asleep, you won't be able to sleep yourself — you can hear all the conversations and how the neighbors go to the toilet.
The room is dead, with a minimum of furniture. There are no shelves in the toilet - there is nowhere to put the accessories. There is no holder for toilet paper — you put it either on the toilet or on the floor. There is only a bed in the room, two small bedside tables, a closet with only a hanger, a collapsed stool. There is a TV, but there is no point in it, because it does not catch channels and there is no Internet. There is no internet in the room either. There are only liquid soap and toilet paper in the bathroom. Where are the shower gels, shampoos, and bathrobes?
The hotel service suffers — for 10 days of rest, they were cleaned 2 times: on the day of arrival and in the middle of the rest, and then when they asked. By the way, they said that cleaning is done every other day. The garbage was taken out only if we were in the room — once the garbage accumulated in 3 days. Towels and bed linen were also not changed until they were asked. Often there is no one at the reception, so there is no one to ask to clean / change the bed linen.
I do not advise anyone to go to this hotel, spoil the whole impression of your vacation.

We had a rest in October, we are not very happy with the hotel! The room is terribly dark, with a smell of dampness, the floor, walls are all scratched, dirty, the window sill is all black, the shower is all rusty, the doors are falling off, there is enough water to wash only for one person, no shampoos, no gel, thank you at least for soap and toilet paper! The only plus is the kitchen is fed very modestly, but tasty, there is no excess, but it is satisfying, although not always everything is warm, it cools down quickly! Thanks to the chefs, this is the only friendly staff in this area! The owner of the hotel is advised to come and see his possessions, maybe it's time to make cosmetic repairs at least! We were in June ) I liked everything. There is a market nearby , coffee shops are all nearby . It takes about 30 minutes to walk up the mountain to the temple , the fortress is an hour . The cave is about 30 minutes long . It turns out that the hotel itself is next to the waterfall . The rooms are clean, the TV, the refrigerator are all there. The room was a standard double room, there was a refrigerator, a clothes dryer, a TV, a basin, an electric kettle and 2 glasses. It is advisable to inform the reception about the cleaning in the room, about the change of linen and towels, otherwise they forget to do it regularly. The light bulb in the bathroom burned dimly in the room, I had to ask 4 times to replace it, each time I informed the new administrator, they replaced it for the 4th time! And so the staff is friendly, they called me a taxi to the New Athos cave. Wi - Fi catches only at the reception and near the entrance to the building, in the evenings and in bad weather people gather there, occupying all the sofas and chairs, they sit on the Internet. The food was very tasty (as in the dining room), for breakfast there are 2 types of porridge, cottage cheese or casserole with condensed milk / sour cream / jam, bread with cheese / sausage, sausages. And tea or coffee from a 3-in-1 bag. Sometimes pancakes were given, boiled eggs. For lunch there were 2 types of soup, pasta, buckwheat or rice, meat roasts (goulash, cutlets, etc. there was a lot of meat and 2 types were offered), fresh vegetables (green salad, cucumber, tomato), compote. For dinner, a side dish and also meat roasts, stuffed peppers, pilaf, carrot salad and other ingredients were given. And also for tea, some kind of pie like a mannikin, but not a mannikin. Everything was like a buffet, you could take as much as you wanted. The only drawback in the diet was that there were no fruits at all. There were also long queues at the canteen, everyone gets in line and while they are choosing food at the pick-up area, a lot of people are accumulating. But if you arrive first, about 10 minutes before lunch, then you will not stand for long. Marina is a girl with excursions near the boarding house, friendly and sweet, we took a couple of excursions from her. And so the boarding house is good, I recommend it!

The receptionist was rude, 20 minutes after checking in, she chased me around the territory shouting "I'm evicting you, you won't come back here anymore!!!" the vacation was ruined ((( and this is for asking for clean towels to take them to the beach. the room was dark, it smelled of urine, there was a broken ceiling in the bathroom, from which something was constantly dripping, they gave only 2 towels and those were dirty, the door in the room was glass, the curtain on the window was translucent, as a result, at 6 a.m. it was light in the room and I had to get up. There is no hair dryer in the room. Only channel 1 was working, and after a couple of days it stopped showing. The bed and towel were changed on the sixth day. It's hard to judge about food, I'm a vegetarian and I had nothing to eat there at all

Our settlements were cleaned in front of us, but it's hard to call it that, hair on the linen, in the bathroom, dirt everywhere, the whole bathroom is leaking, the ceiling in the bathroom is all stripped, ants in the room.And the food in the boarding house is terrible. There is no choice, everything is on the cheapest oil, everything is tasteless , cubes are put into the soup to enhance the taste , although they paid for accommodation with meals. I would take pictures of everything, but I'm afraid they'll delete it.

And in New Athos, believe me, there is something to see: the waterfall itself, which is located directly opposite the hotel, caves, Anakopian fortress, a wonderful park, Three cauldrons, a temple and simply fabulous nature that leaves no one indifferent. And I would like to say a special thank you to the cleaner (unfortunately, we did not remember her name), who cleans the territory near the reception, stairs and corridors. The staff is not friendly, the girl at the reception did not even come out to see them off, said put the key down and everyone, apparently, understands that people will not return to them. It is a pity that everything here has been worked out to maximize profits, I spend almost every year on vacation in Abkhazia, I meet such an outrage for the first time, I will not return to the Waterfall anymore and I do not advise everyone!!!!!
