A modern institution but with the ancient tradition of a paid latrine. Capitalism has taken over in the Railway service!
And as for human participation, everything is on top! The employees of the Vitebsk railway station are competent, courteous, attentive!
An ordinary Soviet-era railway station. We visited during the New Year holidays, there are not many decorations. But the signs are already in 5 languages, incl. Hieroglyphs). The transition to platforms requires cosmetic repairs. What I didn't like, you can only get to the toilet for a ruble(
Excellent waiting room on the 2nd floor.
The toilet is paid, only for cash, which is very inconvenient.
But in the storage room you can pay with a card, and the cost is fabulously cheap!
Beautiful design inside, thanks a lot to the architecture. Cleanliness and order. Buffets, a Soyuzpechat kiosk, a medical center, a police stronghold, rest rooms. There is a restaurant on the second floor. The waiting room. There are slot machines, a pharmacy kiosk and this is not a complete list of services for spending a Cozy time. There is a luggage compartment, well, just huge
The train station is like a train station. Nothing special. The only thing is, if you decide to come here by car, then unfortunately parking in this area will be a big problem, especially at some time of the day.
The station itself is very beautiful. The cafe's assortment is meager, and the price tag is 100% mark-up. The toilet is a private office , the staff is rude and they do not monitor cleanliness at all (The second floor of the station is almost empty. But there is a waiting room with Internet and sockets, for which there are two separate stars.
Disgusting forecourt! The traffic on the square was very poorly planned. Parking is poor, inconvenient, and small. You will park if you are lucky with the availability of free space, and then go on a walking trip to the train station. There is a danger of missing the train. It used to be much more convenient, but for the sake of pathos, convenience and practicality were sacrificed!
Warm, clean, there are coffee machines, ATM, including Sberbank. Free Wi-Fi. On the second floor, behind the doors there is a cozy waiting room and a charging stand.
The beautiful station building welcomes the guests of the city. But there is a big disadvantage, the lack of a travel guide or at least an escalator!People who move around with suitcases and heavy bags are very uncomfortable lifting them on themselves. Not relevant. There are 2 expensive elevators inside the building, which are rarely used.It was possible to limit ourselves to one, but to think over a travelator (a moving path without steps).Maybe they will do it someday.
Covered platforms, the passage is only at the top, but also closed, you will not get wet. There is a Wi-Fi for tourists, waiting rooms, an exchange office and ATMs.
It's terrible!! We were passing through from Mogilev, we stood for a ticket for about an hour. There were a lot of people, two cash desks were working, after a while one closed, people all moved to one queue. Another cash register, instead of the closed one, started working only 20-30 minutes later. But...after 30 minutes, the first cash register closed, and again the tail of the queue moved to another cash register. People were piling up like a snowball.
To the outrage, the cashiers just shrugged their shoulders, saying that's how we work....
The station itself is clean and tidy. Only for this a star, otherwise I wouldn't have put anything at all.
I love Belarus for its regularity and calmness. And the old railway stations of regional and smaller cities keep a long history.
Very clean, comfortable waiting, it is possible to recharge the phone
Vitebsk modern railway station deserves a high rating, all employees are competent, cleanliness is perfect, there is also a cafe where you can always have a snack
The station is spacious, comfortable and clean. The cashiers are attentive and responsive. Minus - there is no elevator to climb the bridge and go to the platform. .. Desired
Everything would be fine, but the bridge is just terrible. Not only are you walking loaded, but you also have to climb that damn bridge. And who just came up with it!!! Obviously, at that time they did not think about people with sore legs and aging tingling.
I put 3"I am outraged that they did not let me go to the toilet because they do not accept payment by cards...They offered to exchange Russian money for Belarusian ones...then they will skip it for only 1 Belarusian ruble...for a second, and if you don't have patience, in short, either in your pants, or be patient, or in the "bushes"To everyone who reads my comment, have 1 Belarusian rubles in your pocket.
Everything is basically not bad. I was passing through, I wanted to stay at the hotel at the train station, everything was busy... I had to wait 12 hours in the waiting room. But there is a VIP zone there, it saved
