Information for tourists. Do not expect sophistication and well-trained waiters. Everything is simple. But it's delicious. There is no menu, there is only pilaf and snacks in the assortment. They will tell you everything and show you. To pay, you need to approach a specially trained person near the exit. Visit in the morning. It's delicious, not expensive, I'd like to come back again.
To the main question, and whether it is worth going here, I definitely can not answer. An ordinary simple one, but a large hall with waiters. Pilaf is not bad, but not the best either. At prices, it is frankly expensive for such an entourage and level of service. There is only one stall in the men's toilet and the height of the partitions is about a meter, as in the Soviet past - no secrets from the people :) Delicious compote. A frozen salad of tasteless tomatoes. We were lucky, there were no mass tourists and free parking, otherwise the impression would have been completely spoiled. We will not go the second time for sure, but we have put a "tick".
It is a pity for those tourists who are brought to these places telling what a delicious national pilaf. The rating of the kitchen of this place is no more than 1 out of 10. There is nothing here worth dedicating this place for, neither the kitchen nor the interior.
Delicious and inexpensive. There is a huge flow of people, but everything is very fast. They just bring you plates, whatever you want, whatever you take. Then they count. The number of tables was impressive)
Traveling around Samarkand, you can't help but try the local pilaf.
I'll tell you what, I've never eaten more delicious pilaf!!!
This is really a pilaf house and nothing else is cooked in it. They bring tea, salad, flatbread and actually offer pilaf to choose from, I took it with mutton.
I came in advance so that I could definitely make it)
The portion is large!
Very tasty!
A great place to find out what Uzbek pilaf is at its best. Delicious, clean, hospitable. Pilaf is served on a tray with various snacks - koumiss, salad and pickled mountain onions I highly recommend))
Excellent fast food, the whole process is put on stream. The pilaf itself is impeccable, the dope in the form of salads and snacks is modest and sufficient. Pilaf is not greasy and self-sufficient. The only disadvantage is that it is far from the center. I'll recommend it, I'll come back myself if possible.
The main thing is to arrive at pilaf on time!
Call to clarify how many.
We managed to get the last portion in the last half hour practically!
Everything was delicious!
I recommend
Very tasty pilaf, but you need to get there before 12.00, then maybe not. The officer took him to the kitchen and showed him how to cook it. The building has 2 floors, the basement is a little cooler. So don't be upset if there are no seats on the 1st floor.
We drove around the city with a local guide (a great guy). It was time for lunch and he took us to this place. I liked everything very much, especially the serving of snacks (vegetables, salad, etc.) they bring a large tray, and immediately you can take everything you liked from it. The pilaf is delicious, half a serving per person is enough. They accept cards (union pay Gazprombank) without problems, the price for one turned out to be 50 thousand (300 rubles). The owner of the institution walks around, asks how to like everything... I advise you to stop by to eat.
It was all very tasty! The most important thing is that people's attitude remained the same as in the old days....
We came to Navruz to feel the whole flavor and we succeeded.
We came twice, once we came across a chair with the inscription "pilaf is over", the second time we arrived earlier, around 12:00, there was pilaf)
The locals brought us here, so I dare say that the place is one of the best in the city. Pilaf is very tasty! I probably liked it the most during my entire trip to Uzbekistan.
We sampled almost all the snacks for pilaf that we had. In total, the company of 6 adults took two tortillas, two teas, two large portions of pilaf and snacks for 9-10 of us - all together it cost about 300,000 soums.
Justifies its name by 100% The best pilaf that I ate in Samarkand! Firstly, everything is cultural without queues and fuss. They brought a salad to choose from, different dope to the main course. Polite waiters, good atmosphere. And most importantly, EXCELLENT SAMARKAND PILAF! Fingers can be swallowed with rice, it's so delicious! I advise you!
If you don't find fault with chairs and tables and you want to eat delicious local pilaf and local cuisine - this is the place. There are a lot of locals and guests having lunch here. The service is instant . Pilaf is the most delicious in all of Samarkand 100%. I recommend 🙌🫶
Have a lot of delicious pilaf! We enjoyed tea with oriental sweets! We have seen enough of how pilaf is made in the largest cauldrons. We took plenty of photos. Memories are the best!
We ate pilaf on 30.08.23. We arrived especially early by ± 12.20. There were not many people, and it was good for us.
We sat down, the waiter immediately comes up with a tray of additions to the pilaf (salads, Broths, Sour cream, greens, etc. The price is ± 5000 som), asks what kind of pilaf and how much (there are 2 types of pilaf 1. With beef, their signature is made in layers. 2. With lamb, it is also made in layers, only with the addition of sesame oil.
My wife and I ordered 1 serving of pilaf with beef, which was enough for us, taking into account that we took another pot of tea and two salads.
Lunch went out for 92,000 soms. And we dressed up and went to the Siab bazaar, about 25 minutes on foot.
It says that they work from 11.00 to 15.00. Arrived at 12.00 it says "no pilaf". I do not recommend it. It's pointless to drive. I regret the money spent on taxis. The owners are thinking about inflating the show-off, but not about people. They left hungry and disappointed. Don't repeat our mistake.
But it's not scary, there are many places in Samarkand where you can taste delicious pilaf. And I found it not far from the Siab bazaar.

It's a good place. But even though it works until 16:00, pilaf can end as early as 14:00. So don't arrive at closing time. The pilaf is very tasty, although at 13:00 there was no pilaf with mutton, only beef remained.
I liked the pilaf! There are a lot of people, though. More like a conveyor) But everything is delicious. The tea variety, however, seemed strange. But everyone's tastes are different.
As I understand it, pilaf is prepared only for lunch. Therefore, it ends very quickly. We arrived at about 12:15 and after 10 minutes hung a sign that the pilaf was over.
Delicious pilaf, beef melts in your mouth, crumbly rice, for the first time I see that pilaf is served with quail egg. The only surprise was that the flatbread and tea come for an additional fee, usually everything goes with pilaf, at least in all other places it was so. The service is fast, there are always a lot of people, whole groups are brought here, a portion of pilaf is about 700 rubles.
The pilaf is gorgeous , but the service leaves much to be desired ! For each position , whether it is pilaf itself , tea , cutlery , salads , different people answer , everything is brought at different times ...
The pilaf is not delicious. The place is purely for tourists and visitors. We are disappointed, we regret that we did not find a better place. They serve quickly, the price tag is normal, you won't go hungry, but this is not the coat at all.
That's pilaf, that's pilaf! It is very tasty, the fat balance is perfectly maintained, the rice is crumbly, the meat is soft. The price tag is more than humane. But you need to come before one o'clock in the afternoon, later the pilaf ends. This is a typical Uzbek feature - pilaf is cooked for lunch (by noon), it is eaten and that's it, wait until tomorrow.
They say that the most delicious pilaf is here, but I didn't appreciate it... the menu has ONLY pilaf, vegetables and tea. It is open until 15.00, BUT if the pilaf ends earlier, the institution does not accept more customers! It is better not to delay the visit until 15.00…
Delicious pilaf. In the menu, only pilaf and everything, work mainly for tourist groups. I visited this place, according to numerous reviews about Samarkand. But I was not impressed, there are many other cozy places in Samarkand where not only pilaf is served.
To be in Samarkand and not try pilaf is blasphemy, especially since the pilaf in Samarkand is completely different than in Tashkent. The place is beautiful, cozy, the service is fast, but pilaf is a fairy tale. To a mandatory visit.
A complete disappointment. We ordered lamb and beef pilaf (as voiced by the waiter. Wedding, teahouse was not in the offer). The lamb pilaf was edible. Beef is solid veins, it is impossible to eat. Tables are ordered for tourists , but it is better for individuals not to waste time on this institution
