It is quite a comfortable airport.
It is not always clear what the announcer is announcing, especially on the second floor. As it is, everything is fine.
It was "normal" until 12/13/2024.
Upon arrival at the airport in the morning from another city, I found out that the flight to Ekb was postponed from 12.50 to 16.05.
After a long wait, after checking in, I went to the waiting room. The plane landed in Astana (I tracked it in the app and saw it through the window).
Half an hour later, I noticed that my flight had simply disappeared from the information board. During this time, there was one announcement in the hall, in which it was impossible to make out a single word.
I asked the staff in the inspection area (there are no others in the hall) what happened to the flight and why it disappeared from the scoreboard, and received the answer: "If it is not on the scoreboard, it flew away." I.e. the plane for which I bought a ticket in a month, which was postponed first for two days, then for four more An hour, just flew away 🤷♂️
By persuasion, I got one of the employees to try to find out what was going on...
it turned out that boarding had begun.
I have three questions.
Is it possible to teach a person to announce in a way that is understood by the passengers for whom he does it?
Is it possible to teach employees to treat their duties professionally?
And this is definitely an international airport?
A cozy airport, courteous staff, sparsely populated, I always pass all inspections and controls quickly. You can arrive at the airport and leave from morning to evening by a comfortable and fast bus. The stop is next to the exit.
A good airport, not very far from the city, the room is clean and tidy. The airport staff is polite and friendly👌💯
But on the last trip, due to the fact that I had to arrive at the airport early, it was obvious that in the terminal for international flights, there are only chairs where I had to sit for several hours, there are no comfortable and comfortable chairs, etc. Also, there is only one hotel on the territory of the airport, (not counting capsule ones) where all places are booked 2-3 months in advance.
A good airport, it is clear where to go, many places to sit, charge your phone, a supermarket with average prices in the city, pastries, and warm-up dishes, on the second floor there is a dining room with good prices and delicious food. Buses go to the city very often, the only drawback is that you cannot pay in cash on buses.
The staff are professionals in their field, attentive, passport control was passed competently without creating a queue, luggage was received quickly, without fuss, in all halls it is clean, neat and clear where to move, according to the signs, thank you!
A completely out-of-date small understandable airport in Astana. There is a taxi and transport service. And also all the basic amenities and even a photo area.
The arrival was comfortable, but the departure was not very good. The workers worked very slowly, this formed a queue, the woman fainted due to the stuffiness and the crowd. We can say that we did the job well, but no, the lady who was in control "tied up all the work for herself", re-checking after checking. She was rude and disrespectful.
The airport is pleasant, clean, beautiful, modern.
It is convenient that there is a phone charging stand, although for a very limited number of people, and a vending machine with coffee and hot chocolate at an affordable price.
The flight is on time, there is a lot of space in the waiting room, you can sit separately from the people.
Of the cons, it is very difficult to make out the speech of the girl announcing the flights, either quietly or indistinctly, we listened intently, and still only fragments are clear.
Plus, the screens themselves with the list of flights seemed too small, or they hang high, my eyesight is weak, they also searched for information about their flight with tension, so I take off the star
Good evening!
The airport is very large and most importantly very clean. I am very grateful to the cleaning staff. It would be even better if it were possible to improve the quality of the dining room menu on the side of the domestic flight, i.e. on the second floor, and the politeness of the employees of this dining room to the passengers.
The building itself is cramped, the traffic is not thought out, the difficulties of entry and exit are not thought out,
But the staff is kind and responsive, the toilets are clean, there is a good quality in nothing. Unlike Almaty, alaport has lost a lot in recent years. But Astana has added unexpectedly, the work of management and staff is visible.Well done
The airport is conveniently located, 15-20 minutes to the city by taxi,
At the ruble exchange office, the tent is at the rate as in the city.
The border guards are friendly, everything is very fast and without problems.
Dewitfree is very expensive, for citizens of the Russian Federation the second price is even more expensive.
The business hall is small but cozy.
Of the advantages: - there is a dining room where you can have a delicious meal not for "airport" prices, I didn't take alcohol, I won't say. There are a lot of people, but there is enough space for everyone. Among the disadvantages: - they do not announce registration. And a special disadvantage for business travelers is not to put a stamp on the boarding pass, you always have to keep in mind.
I like our airport, the old T1 building serves domestic flights, there is a cozy, not expensive dining room and a market. T2 international terminal, there is only one minus for which I took off the star - you wait a long time for luggage. The parking space is well organized, there is a VIP, a free 15-minute lane for quick pick-up and drop-off, the main parking is divided into 2 parts, one 100 tenge per hour, the other 200. There is an indoor parking.
An excellent small-sized airport. Clean, there is a place to relax. The terminal for domestic flights is still more comfortable and habitable, usually even when transferring at 3 o'clock I wait in the inner one, there are more charges, prices in cafes are more pleasant)
The airport of the capital should be the best in the country, a comfort zone, prices are high inside, the design is quite spacious, I bought a plane ticket and flew anywhere in the world.
Beware of intrusive taxi drivers
The airport is simply gorgeous. Everything is just incredibly beautiful. The check-in desks are conveniently arranged in rows. I also consider the presence of a scoreboard showing which one should be approached depending on the flight to be a very convenient solution. I wish you all a good flight! ✈️
The coolest and biggest airport I've ever seen in my life! Very friendly border control did not even say a word and did not ask questions, they stamped and handed over my passport with the words - kosh keldiniz. I really liked the shop of national souvenirs, including T-shirts with the flag of Kazakhstan, as well as national jewelry magnets and statuettes) I personally took one T-shirt for myself, it is also almost impossible to get lost at the airport, there are only 2 wings for domestic and international flights. This is the most convenient airport, in my opinion) unlike the fact that we have a disgusting exchange rate in Sheremetyevo, which I cannot say in Astana, I took the exact amount with me and exchanged it quite profitably for tenge, but upon arrival back to Moscow, I had 13,000 tenge left, I should have been given 2600 r approximately, I only got about 1,500, shame. I love Astana with all my heart, I will fly every year, I advise everyone not to regret it!
There's going to be a lot of pain right now. The airport is modern and good, but:
- why check-in 2 hours before departure? There is only one cafe in the waiting area, + a dining room in the domestic zone, there are no outlets and it is cold
- do at least something so that people with MIR cards can give you their money, it's wildly stupid to call a taxi and drive 40 minutes to the ATM and back
- souvenir shops? One for such a big airport, really?
The airport itself is not bad, it feels like it was built recently. Cons: the socket for charging the phone is at the very bottom of the wall, next to the floor, it is not convenient to charge the phone. The toilets are not particularly clean. The main disadvantage is that on the ground floor, where SIM cards are sold, a young saleswoman highly advises the taxi driver Zhanabek. He says that he is verified and carries at the official rate. So this driver charges 20,000 tenge for a trip from the airport to the city instead of 3,500, as written in the Yandex taxi application. The cost is announced when you have already left the airport. In general, he brazenly deceives tourists.
Polite staff, helpful. I was very pleasantly surprised that there is a smoking room. Passport control is very well organized. Everything is comfortable, I really liked it!
Just a gorgeous airport building. There is free Wi-Fi with a good connection in almost the entire territory, a capsule hotel to temporarily relax, and many different shops, cafes, restaurants. Interesting exterior design of the building
It's a great airport. The logistics of passenger service has been reasonably thought out. There are many places for short-term waiting for your flight. Polite staff, both employees of the airport itself, as well as employees of the border and customs service.
A separate like for the grocery store in the domestic terminal. There you can buy both ready-made food (buckwheat with a cutlet, salads, etc.), and just water and fresh pastries at the usual price, without extra charge (as usually happens at the airport)
*For those who are new, just exit the international terminal and enter the next building on your right! To the right of the entrance you will see the store itself))
It's a good airport.
But it is located far from the city center
Well maintained. There are several places to eat, drink coffee. There are many souvenir shops, including in the drive.
Elevators, stairs, escalators.
The entrance to the airport is convenient and fast
Registration is working normally. But there are small queues at the control.
The drive is spacious and bright.
The staff is normal, passengers too.
Taxis are offered. There are Yandex. taxi and other aggregators.
A very "clear" airport. There are a lot of places for those waiting. Excellent inexpensive dining room on the 2nd floor. There are exchangers.
Of the cons: there are no frames at the entrance! How is it??? Where is the security?
And a very ill-conceived customs control zone (long queues).
A beautiful and large airport with a convenient location. I was pleased with the customs, you pass quickly and the staff is polite. There is a smoking room in the waiting area. The waiting time for Yandex.Taxi is 7-10 minutes.
A chic modern airport. It works fast , everything is state-of-the-art . The staff is professional, well trained, no problem. There are almost no queues, the queue itself is moving fast. Clean , not a speck of dust or a dream
very comfortable and good staff, everything goes quickly and the staff explains everything in detail, I have been there many times and all these years it was very cozy and delicious food
It's a good airport. Cleverly thought out. There is a grocery store at reasonable prices, many cafes and restaurants, ATMs of various banks, currency exchange. There are massage chairs and, unlike Russian airports, no one sleeps in them. They are alarmed and you can use the massage chair for its intended purpose. The most important thing that I like is that the airport is not crowded, there is no crowd like in Sheremetyevo or Sochi. There is a lot of space and it is spacious. Awesome
A relatively new, clean and beautiful airport. It's not very big for the capital compared to Moscow. Polite staff, convenient access. Oversized luggage is accepted at the counter where check-in for another flight takes place at the same time, I had to queue a second time just to hand over the already checked baggage. There is a long queue at passport control. Overall, the impression is good.
A great modern airport! Clean, polite, beautiful. For those who are flying from Russia for the first time: polite staff, everyone speaks Russian. Not a single hint: "I don't understand you!" I liked everything - fly with pleasure! 👌
A modern and permanent, clean and cozy airport.
Friendly staff at customs
There are many cafes and places to relax.
Information is available in Russian and English
I've been to the Airport twice (small, compact) But it's too small for the capital)
The staff are polite and helpful)
The luggage room did not suit (I want separate cells to check my luggage myself)
There is a canteen at the airport (but the prices are...🙄, like in a restaurant)A good capsule hotel (again, the prices are cosmic)
It's a great airport. Big, spacious, clean, beautiful. There is everything you need. Exchangers, shops, cafes. Large and clean toilets. Huge parking lot. super airport
Polite staff. I asked for information, everything was told in detail and shown. There is a constant cleaning. Comfortable waiting rooms. The metro and electric cars go to the far exits. There are many shops. There are places for a snack. Access to taxi and metro
Much better than the new terminal. We did it efficiently and for a long time. It is easy to install in a spacious room. There are shops and cafes. Yes, the prices are not adequate, but they are the same in all Kazakhstani airports.
I like Astana International Airport the most! Especially for domestic flights, there is a place to sit (over a mug of beer or to skip the sails of stronger alcohol) there is a lot of space for passengers to depart in a word, this is not the Almaty airport!
It's a great airport. Everything is very convenient. The attitude of the staff is wonderful, there are no delays in the inspection anywhere, everything is fast. There are a lot of places to sit and relax before the flight.
A convenient airport with short distances, the staff is friendly, the waiting rooms are well equipped, clean, there are no parking problems, the terminal exits and exits are intuitive
The airport is good) before check-in, there is a good dining room on the second floor, inexpensive. The registration location is convenient. There are terminals for domestic flights. Overall, the rating is excellent))
I had the experience of going on a trip to the seas from Kazakhstan. The airport is like an airport, everything is clear and understandable. Except for the car parks at the airport itself. There is no information on the cost of paid parking on any websites or reference books. Someone writes that the prices of the cosmos, who could not pay when leaving it, the cards of the Russian Federation do not work. I left my car in the free parking lot at the airport at my own risk. Everything is fine, the car was parked for ten days without any problems, and there is deep respect for the people of this country. Strictly speaking, this applies not only to the safety of property, but also to a high level of hospitality in general. I was in Kazakhstan for the first time, only positive emotions.
On domestic flights, everything is very good in terms of waiting rooms, there are enough seats. But there was a case when we "blunted", the wrong boarding pass was screened and the system did not let us through. The employee who is sitting at the "checkpoint" also could not understand what was the matter, although she was sitting there for this, she looked at our boarding pass a hundred times until we realized ourselves that they showed her the wrong ticket. As a result, thank God, they passed, but they could not have flown away with a ticket. So you have to rely only on yourself!
A small compact airport. The city is 10 km away. Terminals for international and domestic flights are located in adjacent buildings. Parking is paid. Free parking for 15 minutes - separate entrance. There are very few chairs in the meeting room. I have to stand. There is a grocery store on the ground floor of the domestic terminal and a couple of coffee shops, communication boutiques, exchangers and souvenirs. Keep in mind, there is no place to buy cigarettes in the internal terminal! There are several cafes and smoking rooms in the waiting room for boarding the flight. There is a Duty free in the international terminal in the waiting room. Overall, not bad!
Everything is fine at the airport, but there are disadvantages. 1 there are very few restaurants and you can have a snack only in a few restaurants, and then the prices are sky-high, but I ate well in a cafe. 2. Very empty. I was in Astana for the first time and it seemed that very few people, even in Alma Ata more. And it's so good
A wonderful place, one of the best airports in Kazakhstan. There are many direct routes . fast and high-quality service for both airport employees and employees of the duty free and lounge areas.
Hello, traveler!
In November 2023, I had the opportunity to use the services of Astana International Airport. I want to share my impressions about this airport, rating it 4 stars out of 5.
Positive moments 🌟 🌟
Modern terminal: Astana Airport boasts a modern and stylish terminal. Spacious halls, clean everywhere, which leaves a good impression.
Easy navigation: Airport navigation is organized at a normal level. The signs are clear and easy to read, which makes it easy to find the right direction. Even if this is your first time at this airport, you can get your bearings here.
Service: The airport staff is different, but I did not feel any negativity. Competent staff work at the check-in desks and in the security areas. The service is average.
⚠️ Negative issues ⚠️
Recreation areas: Despite the many amenities, the recreation areas could be more spacious. During rush hours, there are sometimes not enough empty seats, especially if you have a long wait.
Prices in cafes and shops: Prices in some cafes and shops at the airport seem to be too high. This is, of course, typical for airports, but I would like to see more affordable options for all passengers.
Conclusion 🌟 🌟
Astana International Airport deserves a 4-star rating for its modern design and normal navigation. Despite the minor drawbacks, the airport leaves a very good impression.
The airport is like an airport, there are many paid parking lots for cars, which we took advantage of, everything at the airport is accessible and informative. What I didn't like was that at check-in, my wife and I were seated at the end and beginning of the plane, without arguing with anything, and the only way out of the situation was to pay extra for each, the amount was not small and we did not do this. As a result, we were not alone and the whole plane was shuffled before takeoff, utter stupidity. Everything is clean, comfortable, and polite.
Good. Clear. Comfortably. No color scheme bothers you. The staff is polite. Everyone looked. We checked it out. Packed. They gave me a ticket. Everyone is happy. This is the most important thing.
It's a good airport. It is very spacious, the entrance to it is well thought out. You can pay via Caspi. It is not expensive to eat on the second floor. The toilets are clean. It is spacious and you can charge your phone for free.
I liked everything very much, I was at the airport for the first time, I usually came by train, the only minus is the lack of a prayer room for women, and everything is fine. The male guard suggested how to get to the city. Very responsive staff, the restroom is also clean, there is a separate cabin for ablution, but there is no paper and liquid soap. As it is, everything is fine.
