It is as comfortable as possible, there are many seats and reclining seats for people waiting for a transit aircraft for a long time. There are massage chairs available, next to which you can recharge your smartphone. Clean bathroom. Friendly staff. The waiting rooms have several electronic information boards.
I found only one negative, the gate number for departure was changed and it was not announced over the speakerphone, but the information was posted on the electronic scoreboard. The airport is great!

Excellent navigation will not allow you to get lost) Inexpensive Parking for cars, but we had difficulties with payment, we had to seek help from police officers. They were super responsive and helped us figure it out.

The airport is clean, comfortable, with good design - I really liked it. Everything works catostrophically slowly. At about the same time, in the interval of 1 hour, two international flights took off: Moscow, Istanbul, and, in my opinion, Stockholm, or some other, but definitely a city in a Scandinavian European country and a collapse began at the airport. I had to stand in line at passport control for about 1 hour or 1.5 hours. Then through the control frames and the luggage belt for about 1 more hour. At the same time, out of 5 or 6 available tapes, only two worked. And a female airport employee, trying to speed up the process of packing hand luggage suitcases and bags, quickly pulled out on the tape so as not to delay passengers who were late for boarding, I asked why are you alone? Why do you have only 2 tapes working at the peak (as far as I understand 3 planes at about the same time is the peak) of the airport, while Its appearance was very tired.... She replied that she and her colleagues had repeatedly asked to increase the number of staff so that there would be no queues and to work more comfortably, but their management did not hear them. She asked me to write about it as a passenger on the official website.
I'm writing here. Please look at the work of your staff when several flights depart at the same time and analyze this situation, maybe it's worth changing something....

By the way, I read that the exchange rate is not profitable. But it turned out to be a very good one. I realized this when I was looking for exchangers in the city. If I had known, I would have changed it at the airport. The SIM card cost 5,000 tenge or 1,000 rubles. Very convenient.

The airport corresponds to my ideas of an international hub. Arrive in advance to check in for international flights, as the number of customs booths is limited and you can queue for more than an HOUR at peak times! This is the main disadvantage of the airport, passenger traffic has increased! And there are also 2-3 check-in counters for each flight, so there are often long queues. I am glad that the airport is bright and relatively compact with clear logistics.

The airport is small, compact.
Everything is clean and tidy enough.
The main question for the security service, since there are few international flights, upon arrival you are surrounded by peasants with badges offering taxi services [don't be fooled, Yandex Taxi works fine and writes off payment from Russian cards without any problems].
There are ATMs in the passage between terminals 1 and 2. Pay attention to the Bereke ATMs (former BEAC), where you can withdraw money from the cards of the WORLD of unauthorized banks and Halyk - it works with UnionPay cards, again of unauthorized Russian banks.
Be careful, people will definitely stick to you with a request to call or they will tell tearful stories ("we are not local ourselves, we are behind the train" or the fat man will fill in that "I forgot my wallet in the taxi and can't leave") in order, of course, to beg for money.
I bred everything in the best traditions from the 90s and obviously all this is under the control of the local leadership and security))
Nevertheless, from the positive, there is a capsule hotel in the arrival area with the nicest administrator Jazira. There you can get some sleep after the morning Moscow flight.
Everything is fast and convenient in the departure area.
If there is access to the business lounge, then after the inspection, go to the left and go upstairs (there is no access to the second hall in the opposite part of the departure hall according to Aeroflot cards).
There you can safely charge your phone, work with fast WiFi and have a snack (I didn't take food, I won't say about the quality, but it looks normal, better than in Pulkovo))).

The place for charging phones is equipped with 4!!! sockets. What is this all about? Is it done for show? There were about a thousand people waiting for delayed flights. Wireless charging is only on the label, no one has been able to charge hundreds of people who have tried them through them.
