A good airport, not very far from the city, the room is clean and tidy. The airport staff is polite and friendly👌💯
But on the last trip, due to the fact that I had to arrive at the airport early, it was obvious that in the terminal for international flights, there are only chairs where I had to sit for several hours, there are no comfortable and comfortable chairs, etc. Also, there is only one hotel on the territory of the airport, (not counting capsule ones) where all places are booked 2-3 months in advance.

The only thing I didn't like was some muddy guy who very persistently offered to take a taxi to the city, for 10 thousand tenge. At the same time, he also aggressively convinced that it would not be cheaper to find. And in response to laughter, he almost got into a fight. :) As a result, he left by Yandex taxi for 1820 tenge. Yes, it certainly has a mediocre relationship to the airport, but keep this in mind. Otherwise, everything is just fine.

Excellent navigation will not allow you to get lost) Inexpensive Parking for cars, but we had difficulties with payment, we had to seek help from police officers. They were super responsive and helped us figure it out.

Examples:
1) the information about the landing time is organized ugly! We stood for 2 hours waiting for the landing on Moscow. At the same time, boarding has not yet begun in fact, but on the scoreboard right at the exit there is information that boarding the flight has ended
2) the name on the infotable at the boarding gates on the ground floor was confused (Aug 3, 2024, ~10:00): the exit to Batumi corresponded to the departure to Doha, and the inscription Perm meant departure to Batumi
3) the cancellation and postponement of the flight from 08/02/25 to Moscow (it seems to be an ordinary event, especially for a veteran Aeroflot) turned out to be a complete shock for the local team

I was only 9 minutes late for my flight.
Due to the weather conditions, I did not have time to arrive in Astana earlier. The taxi driver drove as fast as he could to the airport, taking into account the whole situation. I still had time for boarding. A few minutes later, they informed me that the flight was closed, although I had checked in online.
The scanner couldn't recognize the barcode of my electronic boarding pass, so it was sent to the information desk. The information desk sent it back to the staff who let passengers board. They called each other back and forth.
Thanks to the help desk, I wrote several contact numbers where you can contact. 2 out of 4 answered. Are there really no exceptions for such cases when there is a snowstorm and the highways are closed, or are there any options or suggestions??? Unfortunately, not all cities have international flights.

There is not a large abundance of cafes and shops in the departure area of international destinations, which is rather a plus, because there is more space for benches to sit waiting with coffee from a self-service kiosk. There is also no crowding in the check-in area if the staff at the check-in desks do not sleep in one shoe. :) And most often they don't sleep. :D In general, everything is compact and quite cozy. In the business lounge, departure from the international airlines terminal, a review from a friend, which is quite modest. The logistics of passage to customs and baggage claim are comfortable and do not take much time. A special bonus is the excellent view of the runway from the departure lounge.
