I visited the ice rink once and had a lot of fun. There are a lot of fast food around, there are buffets where friendly staff will serve at the highest level. I don't think it's worth renting skates there. If possible, come with your own. why? Because they are so worn out and old that putting them on spoils the anticipation of riding. The only disadvantage is that the staff at the end of the session, almost expel visitors with force. They didn't even give us a good photo, even though we left the rink a long time ago. The staff rudely expelled everyone even though there were foreigners there. I don't know what impression I left with them.

We visited in April 2025. We visited the Cimbulac, Kombi 1, Kombi 2 stations (we went up by cable car). Very cool nature, beautiful, unforgettable. They ate pizza in an outdoor cafe on Cimbulac (pizza cost 7 thousand tenge). It is better to go in the morning, because the high-altitude stations Kombi 1 and Kombi 2 are open for descent until 15-30 (or 16-00). If you are late, you go down on your own (I can't imagine how), the launch of the cable car costs 200 thousand tenge.

This is amazing!! A large medeo among the mountain peaks. You definitely need to visit at least once. The service inside is well organized - rental and a locker room for changing shoes for skates. The number of windows is enough for a large influx.
The only drawback is the traffic jam at the entrance. A huge crowd is gathering, and here the bandwidth is insufficient for a comfortable entrance. We'll have to be patient)) But the rink is worth it.

Medeu is a legendary skating rink among the mountains! One of the attractions of Almaty and Kazakhstan. Next to the skating rink there is a monument to the famous climber Anatoly Bukreev. From here, the cable car starts up to the Cimbulak ski resort. You can also walk (to Cimbulac). There is a great paved road leading up, along which we once decided to climb up to Cimbulac and go back down. On the way, the beauty is incredible! You go and enjoy the views.

The elevator didn't work either, we walked, then realized that there was a taxi, well, okay, we took a walk and it was good. We took a lot of photos and videos. We breathed in the fresh mountain air.
