If you want to get in touch with history, be sure to visit the Old Castle. An interesting place. Halls, corridors, flights - everything immerses in the atmosphere of ancient times. In each hall, the expositions are accompanied by electronic displays with historical information and illustrations. The expositions are thoughtful and informative. At the very top of the castle there is a wonderful view of the city.
Entrance ticket for adults - 10 rubles.
I liked it more than the New Castle.
A great place, interesting architecture, a good collection of antiques, it is advisable to visit the new castle, in general it is a very interesting place, you can walk around the castle, especially the beautiful view from the bridge opens.
Very beautiful! Recommend. We were in Grodno, we definitely came. If you are eating from Minsk, be sure to visit the Lida Fortress! And go to the Old Castle in Grodno. ☺
You can see something, but the expositions are not rich. The restoration is very decorative. You can find out for yourself what you're watching. There is Parking, cloakroom, toilet, souvenirs. Zamak is still in the works. My impressions were positive.
A very beautiful and majestic castle, an interesting museum, interactive exhibitions. You can take a guided tour. Tickets are not expensive, they sell many different souvenirs.
The composition is really worthy, with a wide variety of exhibits
The castle looks very interesting, we really liked it. everyone is busy in the morning, it's better to come at 9:40 and take a queue. Apparently, 30-50 people are allowed in at first, then they wait for the first ones to come out and the queue gathers. If you meet Kuzya, say hello, the nice doggie greets everyone. But the filling is weak. You can take good photos on the castle roof. There is a free toilet next to the fire department, but after 8 the buses arrive and close the entrance with a bus so that no one walks.))
The entrance ticket is 12 rubles for an adult. The variety of halls is very impressive. The view from above of the city and the river is mesmerizing. For general development, I recommend viewing with a guide)
A worthy place. We spent an hour and a half. The expositions are small, but the whole feature is in their number, variety and atmosphere of the castle. The employees are the most sincere people. Next time we'll go with the kids.
The castle is beautiful. We highly recommend staying at the castle hotel for the night. Take a whole day to explore the territory, so that you can walk slowly around the adjacent park, walk around the pond and of course go around all the towers of the museum.
The main attraction of the city. There is a small museum and an observation deck for photo enthusiasts). Almost completely remodeled. I recommend you to visit
The magnificent castle is in excellent condition.
It is clear that most of the exposition is new, but they are made with high quality and with love for the history of their native land.
It's a great place. The Neman, the castle, the intersection of epochs. The place has not only a great camera angle, but also energy. Especially in the evening, when it's quiet, the sun is setting and the birds are singing.
The old castle (although it's not that old) certainly impressed. Both externally and expositions , the decoration inside the castle. But I especially liked it on the observation deck. The views are fascinating! A great place for photo shoots and just keepsake photos. The staff is very friendly, ready to help and explain the exhibits. I recommend going on a guided tour!
A wonderful combination of themes and exhibits.
Unfortunately, team tours are not organized, there are a lot of tourists, it would be great for 10-15 people with a guide.
The staff offers to get acquainted with the information in the interactive counters. But ...
there is a lot of information, if 2 people are reading, the rest in the hall are just "walking".
Audio guides are not provided, it is a pity, this service is very appropriate in such a museum.
There is no coffee.
There is no water
A very beautiful place, a must-visit. Gorgeous expositions, you feel a touch of the rich history of Belarus. I advise you to climb the tower, there is an amazing view of the city. The museum staff are attentive and always ready to help.
A great place, despite the partial new building. Next time we'll take a tour guide, because we've seen how passionate they are about their business. Special thanks to the caretaker employee with the chest, who played along in the sudden quest "find treasures" arranged for the kids who were with us.
There aren't many exhibits to see, but it's worth a visit anyway, for the sake of the royal castle itself. And be sure to go up to the observation deck. However, the view from the new castle is no worse)))
There are very beautiful views on the main tower at the top, I didn't want to leave) there is something to see inside, although everything is new, nothing has been preserved from furniture and household items
Nightmare. Horror. Rudeness. Rudeness of the cashier and the tour guide. A certain Lyudmila (sort of) The Mikhailovs.
And now in order: at the entrance there was an announcement "admission is free, the cost of the booklet is 1 ruble." Entering the room, you are afraid of the cry of the cashier, who, as a result, does not miss and shouts in Belarusian that you need to line up and wait for her instructions. Which was not previously mentioned anywhere. You see, she needs to punch a ticket. We wanted to take a tour, which we were refused.
When we entered the first hall, we found a huge number of people. Including the tour group. After starting to study the exposition on her own and stopping at one of the exhibits, the guide and her group came up and behaved just rudely: she switched the screen on which we read the information with the words "step back. There is a paid tour here! I can't wait for you to READ!!!"
I must say that after reading the positive reviews, we drove 2000 km from Russia by car to get to this castle.
What's more, I was unpleasantly surprised, almost all the exhibits are signed in Belarusian, occasionally in English, and in the new castle absolutely everything is in Belarusian. Nothing is clear, it becomes absolutely not interesting!!!
The day before we were at the Radziwill Castle in Nesvizh and at the Mir Castle. The expositions, the maintenance, the territory of the castles cannot be compared with the castles in Grodno! That's where you'll spend your time with pleasure!!! And not only take a walk, but also dine in wonderful restaurants right in the castles!
The place is very attractive for tourists. It was a shame that our first visit coincided with a day off - Monday. I had to come back on the eve of departure, and the inspection was done at an accelerated pace, which, of course, did not allow me to feel all the beauty. Everything is organized very well, everywhere there are signs to help you understand the order in which to inspect the castle. A well-done job is visible to preserve the facility and attract tourists.
I recommend you to visit, but keep in mind that guides are not included in the price, and there are so many of them (even on a weekday) It is misleading to give the impression that guided tours are for everyone and are included in the price. It would be better if there was information at the entrance to the castle about the possibility of purchasing guided tours.
There is a good exposition in the castle itself. I would like the other buildings to be restored too and the castle to become one. There is a wonderful view of the city from the observation deck!
Informative. But it is advisable to take a guide. The inscriptions are in Belarusian and English. Very concise. It will be more productive with a guide.
A beautiful old castle, a historical place, a witness to many events from the medieval history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Renovated, inside there is a thoughtful interactive exposition dedicated to the history of Grodno in the context of Eastern European history of the 14th and 18th centuries. Beautiful views from the observation deck.
There were excursions on 10.10.2024 around the Old Castle, accompanied by an incredible guide Lyudmila. We had a very interesting, informative, and most importantly dynamic time. Even after a sightseeing tour of the city, we learned a lot of new things. Thanks to Lyudmila, we will definitely come back in 5 years.
Not all of it has been renovated, which is a pity, it did not make a proper impression as the castle of kings. I liked Nesvizh better. Not customer-oriented. The combined tours have not yet recruited 25 people, they said call in three days, we will assemble and hold, the same picture in the Lida Castle. They are really tuned in to visitors only in Nesvizh Castle. They worked both on December 31 and January 1, the team tour was held on January 1 at 11.00, there were 6 of us, we paid for everything and we are so glad that we did not have to wait three days
The old castle impresses with its impressive appearance! You understand that the area was not chosen for him by chance — the strategic location only adds to his mystery. 🗺️
Although the exposition at the exhibition may seem quite standard and similar to other castles, the castle itself is worth a visit. Considering the price tag of the ticket, I would definitely recommend not to miss this opportunity! This is a wonderful place where history is felt at every step
It is a very beautiful place, of course everything has been restored, but for the first time I walked up the spiral staircase, saw an extraordinary apartment, especially impressed by the coffered ceiling in the royal bath and the alabaster room. It's a pity that the second part of the castle is under restoration, it would be very interesting to see. But what we saw was enough for us, and the children are generally delighted.
The most recent place. It's great that it was restored almost from the ashes. The castle has a very interesting museum and an observation deck overlooking the Neman River.
It's a very beautiful place. The views of the Neman from the observation deck are simply mesmerizing. There are many expositions inside the castle, including interactive ones. The staff is responsive and friendly!
Be sure to go to the museum if you have time!
I really liked it here. It was May 9th, when the museums were open for free. Very polite staff, talked a lot, turned on video clips in all the halls. Even though we couldn't book a tour, we learned a lot of interesting things. Thank you for the opportunity to take pictures. And it also feels like all employees are proud of their country's history. Well done 👏
Один из символов Гродно. Отстроенный практически заново, но не потерявший при этом своей ценности. Посетили музей и не пожалели ни чуть: прекрасные экспозиции, рассказывающие об истории замка и самого города, смотровая площадка. Советую к посещению 👍
A magnificent exposition, wonderful administrators of the halls - if you ask a question about the castle, they will definitely help you find information, put on an interactive video. My 10-year-old child and I were delighted. Thank you so much for such a wonderful preservation and restoration of history!
We came with a group to practice, we really liked this place, the rooms were clingy with their interior, the tour was interesting and the guide himself brought the information perfectly
A very beautiful view opens from above on the "observation deck" I advise history lovers to visit
Unfortunately, the castle was not restored, but was created to look like a real one. Lots of interactive objects. In general, it is an interesting place where you can learn a lot about the life of the city since its foundation.
Very cool! Part of it has already been restored, you can go up to the observation deck. Cool photos are guaranteed! but there are not very many exhibits. The new castle is more interesting for the exposition.
It looks big, but in fact it's not very big, and there are 4-5 floors in the tower, but the rooms are very tiny, the only one that has "entered" is the chapel for the king and his entourage, there are very beautiful stained glass windows.
Nevertheless, I would like to mention the tremendous work that has been done to restore and show us all this.
Complete delight. Spare no money and take a guided tour. Interesting, unusual, gorgeous interactive expositions. For history buffs, it's just gorgeous. A beautiful place where everyone should visit.
It's such a beautiful place that there are no words. The castle itself is beautiful. The views from the observation deck on the Neman are simply beautiful.Well, the exposition itself in the castle is magnificent.
The museum is one of the best in the whole republic. It's very interesting and beautiful! And Grodno makes you fall in love with yourself every time, just like the first time. 😊
The castle has been well restored, but the disadvantage is that there are very few historically reliable features left in it, some of the halls are pure fantasy of the reenactors, who relied on how the rooms of the nobility were decorated in that era. I would prefer more authenticity and sleekness for tourists. It is good that some halls are equipped with projectors showing the stages of development of the castle.
It's not a big castle, but it's a very cozy one. Castle lovers should not pass it by. There are plenty of parking spaces at the bottom of the embankment. The ticket office is right at the entrance, the ticket is not expensive
A very beautiful and atmospheric place! Near the historical center of Grodno ...
And if you manage to get on an organized tour of the old castle, I guarantee a lot of impressions!!!!
I advise everyone to visit!
Interesting, informative. But if possible, book a guided tour. I have been convinced many times that if a guide loves his job, then you always want to visit this museum again. I was lucky in the World, and in Nesvizh, and in Novogrudok at Mickiewicz
I was pleasantly surprised by the old castle. It has preserved the atmosphere of those years and the old town very well. It was very interesting to get into the history of the castle and feel the European culture. Friendly staff.
