Our beloved old castle is under reconstruction, 1/3 has just been built, but a lot of interesting things, impressive interior decoration, unusual design of halls, colossal modeling, but not enough-we are waiting for the next opening of the halls of the right side and the old church!
The place is a must-visit! There is a wonderful museum inside. We "hung" in it for 3 hours. You can do it longer! It will be interesting for both children and adults.
We were in Grodno for 1 day, walking around the city. The city itself is beautiful, but the impression was spoiled by the aunt "cerberus" at the entrance to the castle - she did not let her with a children's folding scooter, where she could safely leave it, too, could not offer! She screamed like a cut, scared the child, terrible staff.
A must-visit! There are objections to the restorer, I do not understand what some elements have to do with it, but it is certainly an inseparable part of the history of Belarus.
A disgusting organization. There is a queue at the checkout, one person works. The controller moves the queue as it is convenient for it. So as not to get in the way. He allows himself to touch the visitors, and in the end only us, the young girls, were moved, the rest just stood there and remained, apparently it's not so easy to move the men. I can't say anything about the museum. The desire to visit was discouraged.
Very beautiful. The castle is on a hill, and the Neman flows below. Unfortunately, we arrived late and the entrance to the territory was already closed, we walked around, walked along the bridges. The next day we drove by, but it was so hot (30 ° C) that we didn't want to go out into the sun. Besides, we were already on our way to another city.
I learned that "pistons" in the old days were called leather shoes - *move the pistons*, there is something to see, the alabaster hall is especially impressive. Elegant carved furniture.
I love the old castle more than the new one. The atmosphere, the interiors... The observation deck is a delight!
We went on a guided tour once, I really liked it, it was interesting. I got a good guide. I've been without an excursion twice, but nevertheless the impressions are definitely not worse!
At the checkout, they communicate in Belarusian, which gives an entourage.
Weekend: Mon.
The cost is small.
Very beautiful. Partially restored. Inside, information can be viewed on the new stained glass windows in all the halls. The latest technologies have been applied to view information. I really liked it.
It's a very interesting idea. Although of course there is a lot of criticism that not everything has been done in the old style, but what has been done is a tremendous job. We got on a free tour in general and were very satisfied.
I really liked it, after the reconstruction there is an extensive program, I advise everyone who is interested in history, those who are interested. The view from the observation deck is gorgeous, but everything interesting is in the castle itself.I am sure that over time the collection of artifacts will become larger, as the work on the territory has not yet been completed. And as usually happens, interesting finds and unusual ones take place during the same restoration work.
I wonder if you can take pictures on the site. But be prepared for steep stairs, there are many of them. There is a toilet, normal

The old castle is located on the high bank of the Neman River. There is a magnificent view from the observation deck. We were there in the summer, there are a lot of tourist groups, everyone follows each other, the guides tell everything very quickly, in a hurry. Because of this, it is difficult to see everything calmly, since the rooms are small and there are a lot of people. But the castle is definitely worth a visit. It has a rich history.
I really liked it. Naturally, the building has been restored, there are old buildings next door, but the castle itself is gorgeous. Excellent observation deck.
We were in Grodno in October. To be honest, I was not impressed, neither the city nor the old castle, but the new one looks like a Soviet regional executive committee. There is 1 tower and a tiny part of the wall left of the old castle. But it is being restored. But the Catholic church is something amazing! He's been active all his life, never shut down.
I really liked it. We were on a weekday - there were few visitors. You can safely consider everything. Presentations were launched only for us in the halls where they are provided. Interactive scoreboards are very convenient. The observation deck is generally🔥..
The castle is located in a very picturesque place, on Castle Hill on the banks of the Neman. You can enjoy the beautiful views from the observation deck located on the upper floors of the castle. Inside there is a museum (open from 10:00 to 18:00) and a gift shop. Some of the museum exhibitions are accompanied by modern electronic information stands.
This attraction is one of the best I've ever seen) There is a stand with a schedule of events, everything is open and accessible, an incredible view of our rich nature and the most beautiful city opens)
During the visit, most of them were closed for repairs :(
However, the rest of the exposition and halls are interesting.
Plus, it has a beautiful view.
Well, if you have arrived in Grodno, then you need to visit this castle, but I will not say that I was impressed by it. It is not an intricate structure, there are rooms with exhibitions of various kinds of subjects that do not relate to the castle as a story
everything is practically restored from scratch, a beautiful view of the Neman River from a height, nothing special inside, I liked the ceilings in the bathhouse.
Undoubtedly, the main attraction of Grodno! First the old castle appeared, and then Grodno appeared around it! These walls remember the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Prussia! It's so unusual to find out the story in the "other side"
A walk through this castle takes you back in time. Magnificent architecture, stone walls and mysterious corridors — the spirit of history is felt in every corner.
The historical place will make anyone who wants to learn more about these parts pay attention. The castle, inside and out, wants to tell the true story of its origin about itself. Definitely worth a visit to this place
A landmark place in Grodno. I really liked the exposition. The castle has been very well restored. There is an observation deck on the tower with a magnificent view.
A beautiful place. The castle is located in the center of Grodno. From the height you can see the whole city, the Neman River flows below. Quiet, peaceful, cozy. The castle inside is a museum. There are many historical exhibits, interesting excursions.
The castle buildings are very beautiful. And from above there are magnificent views of the whole city. The exposition in the museum is a bit boring. Almost all the exhibits are new. But in general, it is interesting to learn the history of the Republic of Belarus. The impressions are the most pleasant after the visit.
There seems to be nothing to reconstruct from the outside, it was not possible to get inside, because they work until 18.00 on Sunday. A lot of tourists come on weekends to see the sights, pay for admission, 5-7 rubles and they work until 18.00 in the summer ?
There are no problems shifting the work schedule to the peak of activity.
A beautiful castle and curious exhibits, magnificent views from the observation deck. Interesting interactive panels, videos. It is advisable to take a guide or an audio guide. Tickets are inexpensive.
Amazingly recreated interiors and stoves lined with colored ceramic tiles. An observation deck overlooking the city and the river. A very careful attitude to their history.
There is a cool observation deck at the top of the castle. The zamak itself just smells like history) I visited several times and was satisfied all the times)
A beautiful castle, as well as the city itself. It is interesting to see and learn the history of the city, to walk around the castle.I recommend it to everyone to visit.
In Grodno, the Old Castle is probably the most prominent landmark. If you are in Grodno, then be sure to go to the Old Amok, including the observation deck. This is the only castle in Belarus where the king lived.
Most of all, I liked the view from the observation deck of the castle to the river, to the houses. Well done for preserving history, there were a lot of interesting things on the tour. Thank you.
To stay in Grodno and not enter the old castle is a bad idea.
The location of the castle is incredibly beautiful, an orgasm for the eyes everywhere; inside the castle, despite the renovation, the spirit of the Middle Ages still hangs. Walking around the castle, you can feel how people lived here under Prince Vytautas, just close your eyes and leave... And I also got a room with a sauna, I just wanted to do it too)))
