We were in the Old Castle. A lot of positive emotions. Everything is beautiful and dignified. But without a guide, it's hard to get your bearings right away. The attendants in the halls (some) do not want to tell, and they also do not want to answer simple questions, they answer with an arrogant look: "you don't have to." It spoils the impression and the mood. However, not all of them. Some, on the contrary, suggest what to watch and where to read. In general, they did not regret it.

The place is very attractive for tourists. It was a shame that our first visit coincided with a day off - Monday. I had to come back on the eve of departure, and the inspection was done at an accelerated pace, which, of course, did not allow me to feel all the beauty. Everything is organized very well, everywhere there are signs to help you understand the order in which to inspect the castle. A well-done job is visible to preserve the facility and attract tourists.

Beautiful territory, I liked the observation deck the most. The rest of the old castle has only history, photographs, the restoration of the castle is of course done very well, if we assume that there is little left of it, a lot of work has been done! Один из символов Гродно. Отстроенный практически заново, но не потерявший при этом своей ценности. Посетили музей и не пожалели ни чуть: прекрасные экспозиции, рассказывающие об истории замка и самого города, смотровая площадка. Советую к посещению 👍

Among the advantages for our family: a small ticket price, you have time to see everything before the children get tired, a wonderful observation deck (if you come to it by 12 p.m., then you can hear a trumpeter's melody on the neighboring fire tower, atmospheric), an ancient engraving comes to life in one of the rooms (a very interesting format), interactive scoreboards enliven children and serve for them and not only as a source of additional information, the multidirectional nature of the halls (sauna, prayer room, hall on 4 sides of the world). As a bonus, the youngest son managed to figure out and learn Roman numerals from interactive scoreboards. :) I recommend.

We were with a child sleeping in a stroller, they say it is impossible to push narrow passages with a stroller and we will not pass there. OK. We ask that we take turns going, just a man with a child will sit in the yard there. But then the guard and the cashier began to shout together that it was impossible in any case, only there was no reason for this, they would just sit and wait. But in their opinion, I should stand with a stroller and wait outside the gate. Stupid nonsense, with such an attitude towards children, this tour is not interesting.

Grodno is the most beautiful city in Belarus. The old castle is beautiful, although not huge in size, but it deserves attention. The Old Castle, located on a high and steep hill on the right bank of the Neman River in the city of Grodno, is a unique monument of architecture and archeology and the only preserved royal castle on the territory of modern Belarus. For a long time it was the residence of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and the kings of Poland...The castle began to be built back in the days of the Ancient Russian state and was repeatedly destroyed, restored and rebuilt. The palace, fragments of defensive walls, ruins of the Lower and Upper Churches, princely chambers, and the bridge have been preserved to this day...Now the Grodno State Historical and Archaeological Museum is located in the castle! Tickets to the museum were taken on the spot, there are discounts for preferential categories, group tours are held. The ticket office is open until 17 o'clock. The restoration of the castle is going on very well - I really liked the way the halls and galleries look. A special delight is the views from the topmost open area. It's definitely worth seeing. The expositions are quite small, but they are tastefully and modernly decorated.
Now to the cons. The entrance itself is the exit to the castle through the cash register room. It is very narrow, although it would be possible to make an exit from the other side. The ticket office itself is only one and still leaves for an hour break. Of course, the little things, but the impression was a little cooled
