I liked the hotel, it is well located, in the very center of New Athos! There are many sights of the city within walking distance.
Friendly staff, excellent food, always varied and delicious food. The rooms are cleaned at a high level, the water supply is always replenished, weekly change of bed linen, but we were changed more often, frequent change of towels!
The room itself is quite cozy, modest, but comfortable. There are minor flaws in the equipment in the rooms - the lack of shower gels, shampoos, beach towels! But these nuances are quickly solved and so petty that of course they could not spoil our vacation!
The pool is always clean, the water in it is invigorating, but after the hot sun you really want to plunge into it, the children did not get out for hours!
The sea is gorgeous, there were always enough sun loungers, but there are no umbrellas. If it's too late to come to the sea, there are only sun loungers without shelter, so I advise you to come before 10.00 am.
I recommend taking an individual excursion to Lake Ritsu! A wonderful driver and guide Roman! I had a very interesting tour, even the children listened and waited for the continuation.
I definitely recommend it!

We rested at the Waterfall hotel in October, very convenient location, close to many attractions.the sea is 15 minutes away at a leisurely pace. The food is good, the food is delicious. Friendly staff at the reception, in the dining room, maid on the 4th floor. Of the cons, there were no shelves in the shower stall. I really enjoyed relaxing at this time of the year, we managed to swim and sunbathe.We read horror stories about rotovirus, but everything was fine., we bought food on the street, had lunch in a cafe, swam in the sea and in the pool, we didn't pick up anything. We plan to come to Abkhazia again next year, but we already want to see and live in Sukhum. I wonder if there is a hotel there from this owner? Thanks to the hotel staff for a pleasant stay.

The hotel is located in a picturesque place of New Athos. There are many attractions within walking distance. The rooms are small but cozy, and cleaning was done every day. The staff is friendly. The kitchen was delicious, the menu was varied, however, the choice of dishes was not large. The hotel beach is a 15-minute walk away, sun beds and umbrellas are free. They don't give out beach towels, so you have to have your own. In general, I liked the rest. A wide range of destinations for excursions throughout Abkhazia.

A good boarding house.
The location is great, everything is nearby. The hotel has its own beach - free sun beds and umbrellas. The food is good, everything is delicious. For breakfast there are two porridges, sausages, omelette, curd cheese, butter and very tasty cottage cheese!
Dinner - soup, two side dishes, stewed pork or chicken breast in sour cream, pilaf, salad and pastries.

The Waterfall hotel is located near the sights of Mount Athos, it is convenient and there is a place to walk, at the risk of your life. Local drivers drive as if they want to show themselves to everyone around them. The territory is small, well-groomed, but not equipped, there are cabins on the lawn from the aggravation wheel (it is not clear at all what they are doing there) The pool is small, the water is warm and chlorine is just tin. The kitchen is no frills, but delicious, almost like at home. The rooms are just a nightmare, the audibility is as if there are no walls at all. The linen is changed on the 5th day. The room is small, the front door rests against the bed. On the street, trade is brisk, not expensive, fruits, wine, sweets are all there. There are a lot of cafes, the prices are normal. The hotel staff is polite, there are no questions for them, this is a question for the managers about observing the rules in the rooms after 24.00. Of course I will not come here (Waterfall) anymore. I wrote it as it is, without exaggeration. Who is brave, go ahead. The beach is not equipped, there were enough sun beds, but there are few umbrellas. The transfer was ordered to Adler in advance, the price is normal for a mini Vienna, the driver Said, a smart guy, drove quickly but carefully (I recommend him).

We had a rest in June, we really liked everything! Nature, boarding house, staff. The receptionist Marina and the head of the canteen are wonderful women! Special thanks to them! The boarding house has only breakfast and dinner, but a buffet. You eat what you want and how much you want. The food is homemade, varied and very tasty! The room is clean and nice. The sound insulation is excellent! The room has a wardrobe, a bed, a refrigerator, a women's table with a mirror and an ottoman, bedside tables, air conditioning, a kettle, glasses. A bed with excellent mattresses and snow-white linens. There is a private pool. Everything is great! The sights are within walking distance! The beach from the boarding house is called "Rodina" with free sun beds and umbrellas. We were satisfied with the rest, we will definitely come back!

So our ten-day vacation at the Waterfall boarding house has come to an end. The room was in the attic, the most ordinary, without frills. Everything worked in the room: air conditioning (it cools well), TV (only four Russian channels, you don't need more, you have to see the sights of Abkhazia), kettle, small refrigerator, water heater. The room has a clothes dryer, a couple of glasses, a mirror, a wardrobe, chairs, two beds. Everything is in normal condition. Bed linen and towels were changed after three days for the fourth. Linen of good quality, snow-white). The pillows are small, but tolerable, the blankets are light, airy, warm, the mattresses are moderately firm, the backs did not hurt after sleeping. Stella met us at the reception, very friendly, hospitable, and then celebrated daily for breakfast and dinner in the dining room. About food: you won't be hungry exactly like in a sanatorium, table number 5. Moderately bland, not greasy, for breakfast two types of porridge are changed daily, omelet or boiled egg, pancakes or casserole, cottage cheese, sandwiches, buns. For dinners: soups change every day: noodle, pea, borscht, for the second: noodles, buckwheat, mashed potatoes, fried zucchini, salads of some kind. Compote for dinner - drink as much as you want. In general, it's like in a canteen in the 80s. Marina, a very pleasant woman, is the hotel guide on the landing in front of the boarding house. We bought two excursions, the Ritsa and the Abkhazian feast, Chernihiv and Kandyg. It is economically advantageous, well, we combined two excursions into one. In principle, I liked it. However, after Chernihiv, they brought lunch to apatkha, poisoned themselves, and spent the day in bed hugging the toilet. The food at the hotel was all fresh, I don't sin against it. I recommend the hotel. By the way, all the sights of Mount Athos are within walking distance, two, three, five. It's a long way to the sea, but a walk along the cypress alley is just a delight. We went to the beach from the hotel once, it turns out further than the public one

The location is simply gorgeous, you can walk along the cypress alley to the sea and enjoy the views. We spent an unforgettable vacation at this hotel from September 13 to 24, 2024. Its location was just perfect: it is located in the very center of the city, which makes it easy to get to all the necessary places — cafes, shops and so on — on foot. Nearby there are shops "Magnit" and "Red White", where you can pay with a card.The hotel has a nice outdoor pool. It is a 10-minute walk to the sea, the sea is clean and warm, sun beds are free. We went on excursions to the caves, the New Athos Monastery, Stalin's Cottage, it was beautiful and cool. It's a long way to the beach, but that's okay. There are umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach, it is difficult to take umbrellas in time, there were no problems with sun loungers. Breakfasts and dinners are not rich in choice, but everything is very tasty, just like at home. The pool is a little dirty (namely, above it a tree and leaves and sticks from it fly directly into the water), it is cleaned only in the evening, as we understood. The room is not rich and luxurious, but everything you need is there (refrigerator, kettle, glasses, etc.)
In general, Abkhazia is famous for its wonderful and indescribable nature, which takes its toll, so if you are going on vacation for the sake of service, I think you should look for other places.
Thanks to Marina, the hotel guide, who helped us with the selection of the tour, told us everything in detail. We were wildly delighted with our trip to the waterfalls and mountains.

The whole bathroom was covered in mold and stains, it was scary to touch anything. The bathroom door is also in disrepair, went in and came out with difficulty. If you want to boil water, then turn off the refrigerator, because there is only one outlet. Repairs have apparently not been done there since the construction, all the furniture is old and worn. The mirror on the dressing table is always lowered and can be seen from shoulders to hips. Also, the location opposite the window. The light is disgusting, like in a cave. Nothing from the devices! They forgot to put two mugs and even water on. They bought fruit and had nothing to cut it with, and when they asked, they gave it as if they had torn it from their hearts and ordered it to be returned to dinner. About the food. There was no choice as such. If you want, take it, if you don't want, don't take it. And the dishes themselves were in most cases tasteless, so much so that they prefer to stay hungry and eat in other establishments.

We returned from this hotel a week ago. We arrived in Sochi, met the transfer and took it to the hotel. We were greeted at the hotel very hospitably and sincerely. I would like to express my gratitude to the responsive woman maid, from the 4th floor. There were no problems with Wi-Fi at all. The lights were turned off a couple of times, not critically, for about an hour. Separately, I would like to note the beauty and diversity of the city of New Athos, and the convenient location of the hotel in close proximity to all attractions. The food is homemade, delicious, varied, and there is a new menu every day. The territory is green, well maintained, with its own swimming pool. We were very satisfied with the rest. We rested at the boarding house from 08.08 to 08/16/2023. In my opinion, the best hotel in New Athos in terms of location and territory! It is clean, beautiful, the trees and shrubs are beautiful, there are benches, a nice pool. Near the hotel there are all the sights, a waterfall, a monastery, Stalin's dacha, the railway station of Ptsyrkha, a cave, a cell-grotto of Simon the Canonite. Excursions are just great! Special thanks to Marina's manager for the work! Guides are generally handsome! Of the minuses, the room is an attic, the furniture is old, sometimes drains with sewage. 2. The rooms are ordinary, there was always hot water, garbage was cleaned every day, bed linen was changed every 4 days.

Now the minus, the most important one, which overlapped almost all the advantages - an EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY RECEPTION!!! Not once, in all 10 days, did we hear anything in response to our greeting - good morning, good evening - as if no one passes by them!!! We'll get over it, but for example, I won't go to this hotel just because of this attitude!!! Maybe of course it is selective to us such an attitude?!? It's hard to say, but we checked in for 11 days, brought them a considerable amount of cash, elementary politeness probably could have taken place!

We rested in late May and early June 2024. The food sucks. The menu is very meager, there are no vegetables or fruits, there are no salads except cabbage. They said they only serve fruit in summer. Porridges are cooked completely on water. In short, a canteen from the USSR. As a result, we went to eat in a cafe on the way to the sea. We were greeted so-so. They did not take the transfer, it is still + 5000 rubles. On the way, we got caught in a downpour. We arrived in the morning all wet, hungry, tired, and check-in only at 14.00. They asked for a temporary room, at least to put things to change, they refused, they said there were no available rooms, but they observed the same story when they lived themselves. There were plenty of empty rooms on our floor, but people were also sitting at the entrance and waiting for 14.00. I had to leave my things at the reception and go to the nearest cafe to wait for check-in. Half a day passed in vain. So calculate the time of arrival. The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are cleaned, towels are changed (if asked). The location is on the 4th -near a waterfall, a monastery, but it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the sea at a slow pace. There is a swimming pool on the territory, although we did not swim (we prefer the sea), my husband went once and said the water was chlorinated. We rested here from 11-17.07.23. We are extremely satisfied.
The location is excellent, 10-15 minutes to the sea, not stressful. Nearby is a waterfall (which by the way makes the air temperature there more pleasant), Stalin's cottage, monastery, cave, market, many canteens. The hotel has its own beach with free sun loungers and umbrellas. The beach is clean.
There is a swimming pool on the territory, the territory itself is like a park, there is a lot of shade due to the trees, you can walk. There is a gazebo, you can sit in the evening.
There is excellent Wi-Fi throughout the territory.
The room was an attic, the renovation was old, of course, but the room was very clean. Wet cleaning every day and bed linen was changed once. They give bath towels and face towels, liquid soap, toilet paper. On the downside, our room smelled of sewage, not all rooms are as lucky. There is an elevator. The Lobby is newly renovated.
The dining room is great. We had breakfasts and dinners. The food is very tasty and simple. Mini buffet. And every day there is almost a different assortment of dishes.
The staff is super! They are very responsive and polite. The hot water was gone, they reacted with lightning speed. We were asked to check in earlier, since we were with the baby, we were checked in 1.5 hours earlier.
To renovate the rooms and it will be just gorgeous!

A gorgeous hotel. Homemade food, clean rooms, qualified staff with good manners. They have changed for the better in two years. Very pleasant changes in food-variety, fresh. To improve the distribution of food and accessories a little more (spoons, forks should be next to drinks, not next to a hot vat of soup.) Incoming and outgoing tourists should not interfere with each other in the aisle. These are minor inconveniences that they will fix in the near future.

Beach, mountains, caves, waterfall! This is one of the best locations in the city.
The boarding house itself has good rooms and excellent service. Two meals a day, buffet, no one will stay hungry, for sure, even with a discerning taste.
The cozy territory and heated swimming pool will definitely not let you get bored.
Garbage is cleaned every day, wet cleaning is done on request, towels are changed quite often. I definitely recommend it!!!👍

The boarding house is located near the Waterfall attraction, when you leave the gate you immediately run into a souvenir shop and into the waterfall itself. Where there are always a lot of people. It is here that all tourists are brought to see the New Athos. But surprisingly, there is always silence on the territory of the boarding house, there is a fence and iron gates around it, which are opened if necessary, so external noise does not interfere with rest. In general, the administration keeps order so that there is no unnecessary noise inside the boarding house. Plus, there is a place to walk in the evening, you go out and you are immediately in the most beautiful places of New Athos. The territory is well maintained, large, large enough swimming pool, clean. On the territory there is a small gazebo, a playground, benches. There is parking inside the courtyard (this is a big plus) our Windows looked directly out onto the parking lot and we always saw our car. Parking is paid 100 rubles per day. There are not many cars.
The food is good, buffet style. They cook delicious. The menu is the most usual, traditionally Russian. However, you need to stand in a long queue on the street and take a seat in advance if you want to eat outside in the dining room. But if you come half an hour later, there are not so many people anymore, and food is constantly being brought.
Our room was standard, of course it was a little cramped for three, but we were going to Abkhazia not to sit in the room, so it was not critical. But it would not hurt to make repairs in the toilet, and Wi-Fi is very bad, and not only the Internet, but also television depends on it.

The sea is a 15-minute walk along the cypress alley, a walk through the park does not bother, but gives pleasure.

We rested at the waterfall in June , during the week of our vacation we never cleaned the room, we only changed towels once, it rained heavily , after it garbage appeared on the balcony, they did not even clean it , when booking they asked for the 2nd floor, they eventually gave the 3rd floor .the food is delicious, this is probably the only plus, but there are no trays, you go back and forth with these plates!in general, we do not recommend the hotel!We won't go there anymore!

I stayed at this hotel at the end of May. Everything is great! The rooms, however, are for 4. But the food was great, everything was delicious from fresh products, I did not even expect this from Abkhazia. The hotel, in my opinion, has the best location. There are all kinds of sights and beauty around. I really liked the excursions from the hotel. You can see the view from my room in the photo. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Waterfall.
For a family of 4 people, we had a 2-room semi-suite. The room is good. Comfortable sleeping places for children too. Daily cleaning service.
The hotel itself is very well located. All attractions are within walking distance. We've seen a lot, but not all of it. I want to come back again.
It is not far to the sea and the road is like a very pleasant walk.
The hotel has very good breakfasts. The dinners are not as varied, but we did not stay hungry.
A good addition to the hotel is the swimming pool. The water is clean and at a comfortable temperature.
The package includes a transfer, which is very convenient. And there is a tour agent working on the territory, who always diversifies the rest and will tell you everything that vacationers need.
We liked everything, thanks to the staff.

We had a rest in the middle of July 2023. We had a very pleasant impression of the hotel and the staff. Among the advantages: awesome (there is no other way to say it) location of the hotel, friendly and helpful staff, outdoor pool, well-groomed territory, two meals a day. The room was located in the main building on the 3rd floor with mountain views, impressively.
Cons: - there are no trays in the dining room, which is ridiculous, given their price and ease of purchase for the hotel, you have to carry a plate back and forth; - in some rooms (compared with friends vacationing there) very soft shapeless pillows that need to be replaced. Overall, I slept comfortably, but for some it may be a problem; the rooms are very dark. It didn't bother us at all, but, say, it might be inconvenient to sit and read a book in the evening - one dim lamp is on, there are no nightlights by the bed. To sum up: there are no poisoning, the food is delicious, although at home (do not expect frills), no one controls the amount of food - take as much as you need, even with soy you can take out some kind of pie - no one will say a word. The administration tries to solve problems, always reacts friendly and willing to help. The audibility in the rooms is normal - if they shout in the corridor, you will hear, the rest is not, everything is very calm and quiet. I liked the hotel. Not the best of its kind, but very cozy, "homely", in a great place and with good food. I recommend.

We had a rest in June 2023. The hotel is in a great location, the coolness from the waterfall refreshes the area. The rooms are clean, daily cleaning, but there is no hair dryer, shampoos, no towels, one for the body. Food: the food is delicious, but there is no choice, the dining room is small, I would like to serve national dishes and there was more choice of dishes. The service is good. I recommend excursions to waterfalls and temples, there are enough sun beds and umbrellas on the beach, but the umbrellas are very old. Abkhazia itself is neglected, collapsed houses, broken windows, abandoned apartments. everything left a very bad impression and there is no desire to come again.

The TV works only from Wi-Fi, but in the far part of the building it does not catch and if all the guests are in the rooms, then it just fell off and that's it. Therefore, if you only sleep in the room, then it will do. In general, the impressions for the first visit to the hotel were not very good. The country itself is beautiful. It is not written anywhere that parking for cars is paid, you will find out in fact. The linen is changed every three days. Wet cleaning seemed to be carried out every day, but you can't check it.
