Before arriving in Abaatu, we stayed in a hotel in novaya Gagra, and were dissatisfied. But how relieved and delighted we were when we arrived in Abaata! This hotel seemed like an oasis to us. The territory of the hotel is incredibly beautiful, the buildings of the hotel are surrounded by greenery and flowers.
We got a room on the third floor with a view of the garden and the sea. This is something incredible! The most pleasant thing was to wake up in the morning and watch the awakening of nature.
We used the balcony for spiritual gatherings, snacks, and drying clothes.
The hotel administrators are mostly friendly and friendly.
The sea is clean (except for days of storms) and cool (we went to Pitsunda, it was warmer there), the pool is small, but the children really like it.
The bar by the sea is not cheap, but it was so nice to take ice cream or coffee without leaving the sea.
There is a uniform style throughout the hotel, which is very pleasant. Retro cars add their own chic.
We had breakfast at the Abaat restaurant or Tea House.
In general, I really liked the hotel and definitely recommend it.
Suggestions: It would be nice if there was a small grocery store, a bookstore and a fruit stand on site.
In addition, there was a lack of an agent with excursions who would tell in detail about possible trips (the receptionist girls answered in monosyllables).

Why three stars.Firstly, for a huge amount per day, even breakfast is not included.The beach is terrible, it is impossible to enter the sea from boulders up to a meter.Although the basin is heated, it is heated when it is not necessary.And when necessary, the water is icy.Plus there's so much garbage in the neighborhood that it's just terrible.There is also a 3% commission when paying with a card.The prices in their restaurant Abaata are through the roof.I recommend it as the worst option.

A very beautiful park on the territory, which is cleaned daily, a nice pool with clean water, a stylish main building and cute buildings covered with flowers. The beach, like everywhere else in Gagra, is rocky, unkempt, but clean. There are enough sun beds and umbrellas for everyone. The rooms are completely standard, small with the usual set (refrigerator, TV, air conditioning), in an improved room plus a kettle and a hairdryer. Towels and linen are changed every three days, but if necessary, they will be changed more often. Meals are not provided at the hotel, but there are many various cafes and restaurants around where you can eat delicious food. The prices are average. Two restaurants are directly adjacent to the hotel, and there is a dining room across the street. Yes, the hotel offers massage at reasonable prices, it's just a delight! Overall, the service is very unobtrusive. There were no problems with the water. There are free exercise machines. The sea is clean and warm.

We had a vacation in June with my husband and children. We chose a hotel where there is a full or half board minimum - this was one of the important criteria for us. When booking, they said that an advance payment is made for accommodation, meals are paid on site and 1 week before our departure, the hotel confirmed that full board meals are provided at the hotel, only you will need to pay for it upon arrival. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told, sorry, but full board is no longer available, you can only eat in our restaurant or in a teahouse on the menu, which turns out to be more expensive... It's the same with the laundry room. They said that everything was there, upon arrival it turned out that it was not, even a basin in order to somehow refresh their underwear was not given immediately, I had to try with different maids to make a visit))). The nature is beautiful, the territory of the hotels is beautiful - this is probably what I really liked, the view of the sea and mountains from the balcony is super. But we chose the hotel for the sake of service, and so in Abkhazia and everywhere the view is beautiful. Let's go further... The cleaning of dishes in the restaurant, especially at breakfast (the Swedish table), was terrifying to me. Glasses with traces of those who used them before, lips, greasy marks. They promise that they will take into account the comments, but these are just words. The heated pool is already so muddy by 12:00 that it is difficult to dive into it, in general, for all 14 days I have not seen it cleaned, vacationers bathed in it periodically at night, so when this happened I do not know, the only thing that happened was a hose was thrown into the pool and probably the water was refreshed)))). But I liked the people in the pool, there were a lot of them. The whole hotel was coughing, children, adults, and we were also overtaken by this fate, because it was not an intestinal virus, but we left the holiday not as healthy as we arrived. In short, all the advantages of the hotel for our family were in the beauty of nature, rich vegetation. I definitely do not recommend this hotel to those who are light sleepers and want to fall asleep in silence, because behind the fence of the hotel, where the park begins, some of the enterprising owner of the summer cafe put agromed kalonki and as soon as it's time for children and tired family tourists to sleep, they start a street drive of the economy option and hammers so that you can fall asleep only with the windows closed in stuffiness or under a candler, which is dangerous to health. Of course, it doesn't hammer until the morning, but it didn't make it any easier, I wanted to rest on vacation. We lived in the farthest building from this park, I sympathized with those who lived in the buildings closest to it, since the park is literally behind the fence and this drive too. Also on the beach, of course, there are buoys that fence off a place for swimming, where water transport should not swim, however, it was not for the local horsemen on scooters, I watched from the balcony as they accelerate and defiantly rush through the fenced-off area, more boats with their excursions sail and turn on the music to attract attention and stand waiting for tourists, There is such a thing too. Since the territory is small, the music from the boat can be heard throughout the hotel. Once I asked the girl at the reception to do something about it, she responded, went ashore and asked, but local businessmen did not hear her much, they also have the season in full swing, they need to cut down money, what does it matter to vacationers in some hotel with a private beach who come for peace and relaxation ). Calling a taxi at the hotel, the same as catching the first oncoming car, once arrived at all with the smell of vomit, it was good that it was close to go. In general, taxi driving in Abkhazia is a separate painful topic for me. When we moved back across the border to the territory of the Russian Federation, we felt the contrast of the levels of this service very acutely.

As a result, at the time of check-in, the request to show the room before full payment was referred to as not cleaned. Paid. We took a walk, came to check in and voila a room with a view of ... No matter what! Darkness and trees. To the back of the hotel, to the road, but even this is not visible - everything is closed from the windows by trees and solid darkness from morning to evening in a room for more than 8 thousand. Without the sun. Without light. He immediately asked to change the room, but - we are not in business, we do not book a party! Hello there!
They said we'll move out, but move out, we won't refund the prepayment to you.
They did not spoil their mood after a long journey, they stayed.
I like the hotel itself, the rooms, of course, are already shabby. The area is really beautiful, the entry into the sea is terrible.
The neighbors were smoking on the balcony, all the smoke was in our room. As a result, a smoky and dark room)
Said this at the reception, did not react. They asked to move us, they were ready to pay for a room of a higher category - they did not respond.
Some promises, zero results.

The staff does not give a damn about the level of satisfaction of guests with their stay at the hotel. Starting from the lack of literacy in the availability of inventory in the rooms - no kettle, no glasses, no towels, not even a shelf in the shower, before cleaning - shampoo is not put during cleaning even if you ask 3 times! It's time to throw away the pillows - they offer to sleep on them;(
The transfer is naturally expensive, but they will meet you with a delay of 1.5-2 hours and will not even call to warn you..
