It is also quite normal for this institution to name one amount over the phone , and after checking in , say an hour later that they have literally just had an increase .
The balcony was not closed
in the room, the electricity was cut off several times until the vending machine was changed.

We visited in March 2021. We lived for a day. I can say that the hotel is new, the sea is nearby, there is a private pool. The rooms are clean, everything worked) There were not many guests at that time, they were waiting for the season. The staff is polite and attentive. The kitchen was just starting up, but it still wasn't bad.

We stayed at the hotel from 28.06 to 02.07.
What didn't you like:
1. On the night from 1.07 to 92.07, from 24 to one o'clock in the morning, the perforator worked in the kitchen, woke everyone up (99% of vacationers with young children), when the indignation of vacationers began, repair work stopped in terms of the operation of the perforator. Our room was above the kitchen and the audibility of the renovation was as if we were working in the bathroom. The administration apologized to the complaints, but continued for another 20 minutes.
2. We rested for 4m and we were given 1 foot towel for everyone.
3. The beach is not monitored (the beach of the hotel) and the sunbeds were occupied by non-vacationers of the hotel, they smoked every day.
4. Beach towels can only be changed at the maid's (if you find them and she doesn't forget). High humidity does not allow them to dry on the balcony.
5. The maids were slow (from Tajikistan), they did not give cleaning supplies. Our grandmother was poisoned (they ate only in the hotel dining room) and asked to change towels as soon as possible, they did it after 3 hours.
6. There is no sink in the toilet (it is where the bed is) and it was very uncomfortable for our family.
7. There are a lot of Mosquitoes (there was a raptor in the room, but it did not act on Mosquitoes and traces of them were visible - apparently the guests kill them than they have to without lavishing repairs and furniture).
I really liked it:
1. A medical worker at the hotel - when applying, she gave additional medications, offered an injection.
2. Clean everywhere: on the territory, in the rooms, in the dining room, on the beach.
3. Delicious food, lots of fruits. Local wine is offered at dinner and upon check-in.
4. Sun beds and umbrellas on the beach.
5. Excellent animators: the guys who do animation work out every penny! Well done! There is a maze, slides, etc. in the recreation room for kids. every day there are different master classes, sports and games and a children's disco. Fitness, zumba for adults. There was a foam disco. In this regard, the hotel managers are just great!!!!
6. There are a lot of beautiful greenery near the pool, it is very pleasant to have lunch / dinner on the terrace looking at all this beauty! It is beautiful and cozy in the dining room, comfortable furniture.
7. Ropes are stretched at the buoys on the beach and large stones (2x2) are at the bottom. You can swim to the buoy and stand there (standing on a stone near the waist-deep water buoy).
8. Nearby rent catamarans for 600, a banana for 500 rubles per person (I really liked it in the morning as they take me to the dolphins)
9. Medlar is sooo delicious on the market at 120 rubles per kg (although you eat too much fruit at the hotel!).
10. Wi-Fi works great.

Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the weather, when we rested in Gagra for 5 days, only 1.5 days had sunshine.
Generally:The hotel is wonderful:kids' club,meals, the sea is right behind the fence.I liked the fact that you can get to the hotel without going through the reception)

It is difficult to evaluate hotels in Abkhazia. The star rating corresponds to the stated 4. The rooms are large, high ceilings, there is underfloor heating. The location is really on the outskirts, but at the same time on the first line from the sea, it's about like in Egypt - a hotel and nothing else around. Externally, the building is modern, it looks like a fazenda, keep in mind that there is nothing nearby, the nearest store is 7 minutes on foot, and the cafe is 15 minutes away. Therefore, it is optimal to take full board. Gagra itself is a place that is 30 years behind in development, the lights are often turned off here, but the hotel has a generator.
Cons of the hotel: complete lack of sound insulation (snoring is heard in the next room), hot water is sometimes barely warm. There is no coffee machine at breakfast. There are only 20 federal channels on TV. There is no card payment and booking payment is also not accepted.

IS COMFORT IN ABKHAZIA A REALITY?
I personally doubted it. May the lovers of Abkhazia forgive me. But for me, she turned her wild, unkempt, fetid, untidy, arrogant and irresponsible side more often.
In the same hotel, I suddenly felt like I was abroad.
New, clean rooms with thoughtful design. They even put slippers for the child.
There is a swimming pool, volleyball and basketball courts, massage, a children's club, a cafe-bar with pleasant music, its own beach with free umbrellas, sun beds and towels.
The animation for the whole family is very high quality. Activities for every taste. Athletic, creative, team, intellectual.
Edaaaa. Really high-quality and delicious. Finally, I can relax about what the child is eating.
In general, we did not lose.

Well, first of all, I have already written a review about the hotel more than once - in a nutshell - it is not inferior to 4*In Turkey..everything is cool, but the photo is already outdated..now there are a lot more floors in the building, which is two-storeyed in the photo, a great playground- we'll go there again soon- let's see how else they improved 8 months after our autumn vacation.. but judging by the videos that tourists post on Instagram, everything is fine - the hotel is thriving and living an active life..

If you relax in Novaya Gagra, then only in hotels, remember as a reminder: Aquamarine, Europe, Grand Abkhazia Hotel, AMRA Park otel, AMZA, Alex hotel, Empire, it is very important to have a swimming pool and high-quality food, they have everything, the sea is often dirty in Novaya Gagra and stormy, the food is only tested in hotels, in the markets of poisoning and infection, it has been tested on yourself. Do not open your mouth at sea, rotovirus infection is a common occurrence, minus a day or two for sure!

The food at the hotel is very tasty. I'm cold, but the heated pool has sunk into my soul, it's very nice. Thanks to the chefs for such delicious food!
There was a moment when there was a smell of sewage in the bathroom, I asked to bring a diffuser. I asked for two days to fix the problem with the unpleasant smell, but somehow it didn't work out. I was just in a smaller room, it didn't interfere with my rest. Spacious rooms, pleasant grounds. The Wi-Fi was working smoothly.
