The hotel is really new with good sound insulation, located at the end of the pedestrian zone, we searched for a long time for the entrance to the hotel, walked almost all around, but found it.
The room is well equipped, the mattresses are soft, while sleeping is normal, but they need to be changed soon. The service life is coming to an end.
The pillows are terrible, small and battered. We put something under the mattress to be at least a little higher.
The bed linen is almost all stained with some kind of stains.
Linen, as well as towels, have not been changed for us in 6 days even once. Just foot towels. Room cleaning is very mediocre, honestly. But they didn't skimp on toilet paper and bags of shampoos and gels.
The air conditioner is shared. There is also a heater in the room.
There is a kettle in the hallway on each floor. There are ironing boards across the floor. This is a huge plus, of course.
Cons: the window handles are almost all broken, the music from the street screams until late at night. Cafes standing nearby in this way are trying to invite visitors. Wi-Fi does not catch at all.
Better take a view of the pool. There will be no rest on the city.
We did not go to the pool, because the water is muddy, there was no desire to swim there. Although there are a lot of sun beds around the pool. But in the evenings, groups of our compatriots gather and drink until night.

We went to the shared beach, it is closer to the hotel, good access to the sea, clean and not in the stone jungle anchors of the beach "Europe".

People, don't go to this hotel for anything. That year we were in another hotel, everything was gorgeous, there were some disadvantages. We have been hungry in this hotel for 4 days now, the food is disgusting. There are wet plates and greasy trays in the dining room. Even the potatoes are not salty and cold. There are queues in the dining room, you are constantly looking for someone to sit down with, all 3 halls are occupied. We came for our honeymoon, and no one ever got around to even congratulate us (as they do in other civilized hotels, even in the same Gagra). In general, you will have to endure another 10 days and go to eat in cafes, because there are no places in other hotels anymore. Of the advantages, I can single out the pool area, that's it!

Words cannot describe the quiet horror of Abkhazia and the Europa Hotel. Even if you stand, even if you fall, but it's better to fall right away.
We had a family vacation there in the middle of August. The first two days went well. Before the excursion to Lake Ritsa. The lake is beautiful, however, there are no questions. But a gorgeous spring with silver healing water knocked us all down. Like all the people on the tour, we took a cup and a half of water from there and washed down the recently tasted cheeses and wine. By evening, we were all sick. Back cheeses and wine tasted worse, of course. Very healing water, thank you. But the adventure did not end there.
The Europa Hotel, declared to be 4 stars, pulls a maximum of 1-2. It is impossible to eat food in the dining room, it is bland, monotonous and with insects. If breakfast does not stink, then by lunch the food in the dining room acquires a wonderful aroma that it is impossible to get closer to the dining room than 500 meters. The stench is so... indescribable.
The hotel has a swimming pool, which is good news. I would like to add a water purification system there, otherwise it has not changed since the beginning of the season. And there you can find interesting things in the process of bathing, for example someone's snot.
As for the rooms, they are normal, no more, no less. But room cleaning.... If your child throws up at night, the local cleaners will make him wash the sheets. Is it worth 4 stars?
If we characterize the hotel in general, then this is just some kind of typhoid breeding ground. Everything is dirty, even the tiles on the territory are covered in some kind of vomit. In short, the toilet will be a favorite place.
So, in principle, in all restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. There is something a little better, but we still have to try to find it. There are landfills and garbage all around. All the dirty water from the pipelines flows into the sea in a yellow slurry.
It is advisable not to drink water from the sea, and even more desirable only to wet your feet and no more.
Guides are often as angry as dogs and take out all their anger on tourists. As well as the entire staff of the hotel. Buses on excursions also leave much to be desired. You will get to the place, of course, but without air conditioning and in a position that seemed unthinkable for the body before the trip to Abkhazia.

I want to share reviews about this hotel.We had a rest from 08/09/2013 to 08/16/2013. We paid 117,000 for a ticket for two, we had a room like a suite. I'm afraid to imagine what other rooms, if it's a suite. To begin with, there are just landfills around the hotel from all sides. It stinks of dead meat, no one cleans up the garbage. You leave the hotel and refuse in the trash. The hotel is supposedly located on the 1st coastline, but it takes 10 minutes to walk to the sea at best. The sea and the beach are a separate story. During the week of rest, I managed to swim in a normal sea 1 time. And all this is due to the fact that it is on our beach that sewage sludge pours into the sea from some kind of sewer and after the night rains that were here almost every night, the sea turned into just a swamp, both in color and smell. Next, about nutrition. The dining room is a detached building. There is no variety, we waited all week for the only delicious dish that we tried on the first evening, these are homemade dumplings, but we did not wait for them. The food is meager, tasteless, everything is over-dried and cherished, it seems that it is being prepared for several days at once. At the entrance to the dining room, it stinks of rotten rags mixed with bleach, after such aromas you no longer want to eat. There is nothing on the tables except napkins. Salt, sugar, loose coffee, everything is poured into plates from which you need to take a spoon. What century are we in anyway? Coffee is only instant, sweets are some kind of incomprehensible biscuits and that's it. There is not even free drinking water in the hotel!!! Welcome one bottle in the room and that's it. And that's all inclusive. Then either buy 5 liters on the ground floor for 250 rubles, or drag from the nearest five for 78 rubles.That's what we did. Next, rooms and cleaning. During the week of rest, the bed was changed once. I had to beg for toilet paper every time I saw the cleaners. The towel is not changed at all. In short, friends, think for yourself whether such a vacation is worth the money.
Fruits were always one of the advantages for lunch and dinner. Watermelons, melons once, oranges. The air conditioning was working well in the suite. That's all.
This hotel is one solid minus. It's a pity to spend money and vacations on this hotel.

They cook well, there are few side dishes, there are soups, tea, coffee, etc. The pool is warm, small, heated, this is monitored, cleaned. The staff is polite, there are animators for children. We had a rest in June of this year. Initially, we were in New Athos, but in 5 days we looked at almost all the iconic places And spontaneously decided to move to Gagra. The Europa Hotel was a pleasant surprise. To be honest, I did not expect to get into the "strong Turkish four" in Abkhazia. The hotel is new, the rooms are excellent, new plumbing, furniture, TV, kettle, etc. The room is cleaned daily with a change of towels. Meals are served Buffet style. There is everything, I don't see any point in enumerating, especially the soups, real, rich, in short, ours: borscht, pickle, pea, etc. There is a large swimming pool on site, open until 22 hours. There is a piece of the city beach that is considered a hotel, they say sun beds and umbrellas are free, but we are not fans of beaches with large pebbles, and we were not very lucky with the weather, so we did not sunbathe on the beach in Gagra. By the way, there is a children's animator, the kids run after her in a crowd, play, draw, inflate some balloons, everything looks decent. In general, I definitely recommend the hotel. Track prices. Believe me, there is a lot of experience, there is something to compare it with.

THE WORST HOTEL WE'VE EVER BEEN TO. A DETAILED REVIEW.
Earlier, when I read the reviews of tourists, especially negative ones, I thought that people, instead of resting, were looking for disadvantages and finding fault. I have never written negative reviews. And I thought that this would not happen to us. But this hotel has crossed everything out. This is the first time we have had such a vacation. Rather, we had a good rest, tried not to pay attention to the hotel. But the hotel has greatly spoiled the impression. I, my husband, my mother and 2 children (5 and 11 years old) flew. 250 thousand rubles were paid for the tour. We wanted to go to Turkey, but we didn't have time to make a foreign passport for my mother. The choice fell on Abkhazia. So about the hotel:
1. Check-in. We arrived at the hotel at 18.00, the young man took the documents at the reception. And he checked us out for about 50 minutes. I don't know why it took so long. We got the keys. We had an adjoining room, 2 rooms. The 4th floor overlooks the pool and the sea is slightly visible. There is no normal furniture. There are no shelves in the bathroom, a closet in the room, cabinets. But it's inconvenient to store things in them. There are no shelves. As a result, one of our cabinets fell apart (the cleaner apparently touched it when we were not there - and the cabinet formed like a house of cards). The advantages of the room include a balcony, air conditioning and a TV.
2. Cleaning - there is no word for it at all. We went to the lobby to clarify what they mean by cleaning. They couldn't answer us)))) When the husband asked if the cleaner should make the bed, they looked at him with round eyes in surprise. The cleaner is on the floor all day. It is not clear what he is doing. She took the garbage from us (and not always, sometimes they took it out themselves) and reports toilet paper. Dusting, washing glasses, sink, toilet, making the bed - we did it ourselves. Change of linen 1 time in 5 days. But they didn't do it for us here either. We went on the 5th, 6th day, 7th - and only after a specific swear word - our bed and towels were changed. Moreover, they brought 2 leaky towels. Not quite clean. Instead of white, they were gray in the sand. The feeling that they were not washed, but simply ironed.
3. Swimming pool - we swam in the pool on the 2nd day. We didn't swim anymore. The pool is large. But it's terribly dirty. It smells like bleach so that the smell reached our balcony. From the balcony above, you can see that the pool is muddy. Probably from bleach. Someone's hair is floating in the water. We saw children spitting there. At the same time, the parents next to him do not say anything. Changing clothes and taking a shower by the pool will not work, because there is nothing nearby. At the same time, the rule is that you can not walk in swimsuits. Okay, I can put a swimsuit in the room and clothes on top, but what about back? I'm not wearing clothes on a wet swimsuit. And I have nowhere to take it off. Something like that
4. Dining room - all food is cold. They were hot: porridge in the morning and soup at lunch. And it doesn't matter what time you come. On day 3, the children had vomiting and diarrhea. My mother has 4, my husband has 5. At first we thought it was from the pool. But we were only in it for 2 days. As a result, when they stopped eating in the dining room at the hotel, everything returned to normal. Many people in the hotel talked about the same problems. I do not recommend eating there.
5. Beach - it was stated that there would be a shower, toilet, changing room. But there is no shower or toilet. The beach is very narrow. Everyone is lying on each other's heads. A maximum of 2 sun beds can be placed and immediately the sea. Umbrellas are constantly flying away. And instead of doing something, the umbrellas are simply removed. One az had a fight with the janitor. He wanted to take our umbrella away. The sun is shining, baking. Without an umbrella, everything would have burned down. And in general, we do not usually sunbathe, but only lie under an umbrella. As a result, my husband and I had to take turns holding the umbrella so that it would not fly away. There is not enough space and sun loungers on the beach. Our tourists, as usual, behave terribly. They occupy sun beds, then walk somewhere, sleep at lunch. And by 15-16 they come to the beach. We saw it ourselves 3 times. The beach keeper should react here. There are no people, put things away.
6. The Internet. He's gone. Although it is declared. You can sit in the lobby. That's all. If you have a job where the Internet is required, then this is definitely not the place.
7. Animation - it rained in the evenings for the first 2 days. There were no animators. Although I think it was possible to entertain the children inside the hotel. On the third day, animators appeared by the pool. We watched from the balcony. They brought a column with them. They did the exercises, took away the column. And then at eight in the evening there is a children's disco. But the songs are not for the little ones. The eldest was fine, but the youngest did not understand what to do. The movements are fast - I didn't have time to repeat them. This is where the animation ends. One day, the column broke down. And there was no music for 2 days. Nothing happened during the day. In the evening, we played games with the children. There is nothing for adults. Sometimes in the evening you could play mafia. That's all. The playground is fine. But it's filled with concrete. God grant that no one falls. But if you fall, it won't seem enough. Bare concrete. You need to either make a lawn or a covering.
8. We arrived on the 9th in the evening. There was a flood the night before. The hotel was powered by a generator. There was no hot water for 3 days. And on the one hand, you can understand that you cannot resist the elements. But you can't wash the children or yourself. The hotel didn't even apologize, no buns, compliments or anything else. We paid the money. And they wanted to get at least something for their hard-earned money.
9. The service is not there. No one greets or smiles. Security - we haven't heard that here. Children can freely leave the children's room (the corridor on the 3rd floor with a TV is a children's room) - run around the tel. Children are also free to leave the gate. From any checkpoint. And even when it's already dark. None of the guards will even ask where they are going without adults.
Conclusion: I do not recommend this hotel 100%.

Recently returned from vacation, vacationing in Abkhazia (Gagra).
With regard to recreation:
The Europa 3* hotel is definitely not a three-star hotel... I would put a calm 4* varied three meals a day according to the buffet program, heated, large illuminated swimming pool (which is very convenient in the evening), cafes, bars, a disco and entertainment for children and adults on site. We had a standard double room with a balcony and a view of the sea and the pool - the view is gorgeous, the room has air conditioning, a TV, a refrigerator and a place for things. The staff is wonderful. Everyone will tell you and help you. Cleaning was carried out every 4 days (but at the request they cleaned when we needed them). Towels were not changed, but there were enough of them and enough for the whole stay (we know that you can ask for more on request) bathroom accessories were changed daily. We liked everything!
The sea is close (5 minutes walk). We are happy with the rest, we will definitely return to the next vacation!

The food is delicious, there are no pretensions to the dining room at all, handsome, the room service is excellent, the rooms themselves, as usual, beds, table, bedside table, TV, refrigerator, sconces and wires on the ceiling from the chandelier, which apparently forgot to hang. There is a flaw everywhere. The 9th floor, it would seem super, has a sea view, but no, in the foreground there is an unfinished building from the 90s, it can no longer be completed, but it is expensive to demolish.
The balcony (+10k to the room price), and smoking is not allowed there-a fine of 5k. The balconies are so close that you can inadvertently hear every word of the neighbor who did not close the balcony door. The countries in the room are cardboard, the audibility is perfect. There are no glasses, fruit dishes, shoe spoons, a cup for a toothbrush in the rooms. It's a shame, it would take a little thing, but it was not enough.
The beach is tin, if you go to the near 350-400m along a narrow footpath, and then through puddles and mud. but this beach is not from the hotel, so there are umbrellas and sun beds for a fee. You can go to the beach of the hotel 500m, approximately. It's small, narrow and there are a lot of people.
The territory is being planted, as the hotel is young, everything is still in small trees.
A separate place that smooths out many disadvantages is the swimming pool. There are always rescue guys nearby who dive into the water in a second and pull out an unborn baby. Wonderful lighting, which is turned on in the evening. The pool is open until 20.00 (June), after which you can sit next to it on wicker furniture and enjoy the cool. But there is also a nuance, they do not give out a towel to the pool, you need to buy or take it from home.
Excursions from the hotel are well organized. I can recommend this to you even if you are not a guest of the hotel. There is also an excellent bakery nearby, wonderful, polite staff and always fresh pastries, salads and barbecue.
And of course, the cherry on the cake, there are no buns for birthday parties🤷♀They don't even congratulate you.
Will I go back there? No. Recommend it? No. It's up to you. There is no soul here, the hospitality of Abkhazia, which everyone is talking about, it is in Pitsunda, Sukhum, Gudauta, etc., but not here, there is only a construction site, excellent sellers and we are wallets on legs.

We had a rest in Abkhazia (Gagra) at the Europa hotel July 2023
If you are waiting for service, then drive by, there is disposable soap/shampoo/shower gel in the room from the service.
We took the hotel on the principle of full board (do not bother with food and do not think about which cafe to go to), the hotel is relatively new and according to first impressions everything seems to be not bad.
But as you know, happiness (service) is in the little things.
- Nutrition is a separate topic. There is a lot of food, different, but it is not all delicious (cottage cheese and sour cream are delicious) not according to the principle "I do not eat empty pasta", the pasta is cooked without salt and filled with sunflower oil. They also give dumplings for them almost a struggle. And dumplings for breakfast (no, they don't make them, they're all semi-finished products). Porridge with milk is delicious, really. Everything is always served cold - we tried to pass it right before the start of breakfast / lunch / dinner. Soups are all dermal. Just chicken broth would be a joy. Someone wrote in the reviews that this is table food to treat the stomach (I don't know what to treat there? Semi-acrobats?)) (we got injured there) as a result, we haven't even visited for the last 2 days. In short, I just don't recommend the food, I agree that it tastes and colors. But of all the hotels I've been to, this one won in the "most disgusting food" category
- Swimming pool- bleach/ torn umbrellas and sometimes broken deck chairs 🤷🏻♀️
- Water- you are given one bottle of drinking water at the entrance (then you yourself). hot water is available early in the morning and at 16/17 o'clock. The rest of the time it is barely warm, we thought that the boller did not have time to heat up 😁
- Lobby bar, there is nothing to buy (except water), which is 3 times cheaper outside the gate. Well, that's it))) there is nothing to add, we tried to use it, we did not experience a sense of satisfaction.
- The room is clean. The furniture is generally solid 4. Clothes dryers in each room. There is not a single shelf in the bathroom. The towels are old and battered. Bed linen is similar (duvet covers were asked for on the 3rd day.) sheets (to hide) were given one for 2 different beds (rested with my sister))
- The beach, if you thought that your hotel beach was a friend, it's you walking through the hotel to the beach. No, it's not like that- you go outside the territory and stomp 5-10 minutes around the city to the "beach" there are sun loungers and umbrellas. The beach line is narrow. We went to it once and on other days went away or went to the old Gagra. Well, here's an amateur
- In general, we certainly rested and slept well
- The water in the sea was clean (thank all the gods these Abkhazians have no power over it, or they would have fucked it up)
- The city is dirty, the garbage cans that are available in the city are overflowing 90% of the time with a pile of garbage around. The hotel is in complete order with this, the territory is clean.
In general, Abkhazia impressed with its inhospitality and mountains of garbage in the city.
I do not recommend a hotel (with meals), only if it is a place to spend the night.

The paradox is that their website is much better than the real hotel website.
In any case, we come to your Hotel, it doesn't matter how we book, you could have called us and warned us.
The tariff was non-refundable, I had to stay, it was possible to resolve the conflict with us, but the hotel administration did not consider it necessary, as did the administrator Diana.

Wonderful hotel!!!. We had a rest from May 7-10, 2022. The girls were greeted kindly at the reception and offered to check in before 14 o'clock. Room 828 is just great, dry and warm, and the weather was rainy and cold all the days, we still did not understand how they maintain a dry and warm climate in the rooms. The linen is clean, white, 3 towels for each, cleaning every day. The maid gave me an extra pillow and blanket without question. There is always hot water. There is a minus: there is no kettle in the room, only on the floor, but we took a boiler. There is a buffet in the dining room, the food is varied and delicious. The administrator Marina is just a smart girl: if they didn't have time for dinner from the tour, she waited to feed people... The heated pool is clean, but it was cold outside and we didn't swim. The territory is clean, tiled, flowerbeds are well maintained, flowers are growing. There are rocks on the beach, of course, as well as all along the coast. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The food in the hotel is not edible at all from the word at all (the products in one dish are both smelly and not very good.The towel was changed after 6 days and then after three reminders. This is the fifth time we have been to Abkhazia, there is something to compare it with.
First, about the hotel. The hotel is located next to the market, on the outskirts of the city of Gagra. The territory is sparse, there is nowhere to walk, but there is a cafe and a swimming pool. The pool is clean, warm, but the smell of chlorine is very strong. There are four elevators, but none separates the up-and-down flows. ECONOMY rooms: small and with half windows near the ceiling, this is the second floor. The STANDARD with a balcony is small, ordinary. The sea view ROOMS are located on the ground floor and have direct access to the pool.COMFORT WITH mountain views have panoramic windows with one opening window meter by meter. The SUITES are located at the ends of the floors and have a large corner balcony. We lived in a STANDARD room.
About the room.
There is a spacious double bed, an extra cot, and alas, not a euro, as stated, it is sagging. The furniture consists of a table, two bedside tables and a wardrobe (all from different collections). There is a TV, a refrigerator, a clothes dryer and three dirty glasses. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. The bed linen is clean, they are changed on time, BUT the trouble is with towels, they are not enough, either they are partially changed or they are not changed at all. What is missing? A safe, a heated towel rail, beach towels, a mirror in the bathroom, shelves and holders for things in the bathroom, a chair. Soap was given one small piece for three people only upon check-in.
Food. The dining room is located in another building. It's a dubious pleasure to go out to eat in the rain. The dining room is large, but there are not always places. The dishes are always wet and dirty. The food is normal, but very greasy for us, almost everything is fried or stewed with a lot of oil, but the most important thing is that everything except soups is cold! Fruits were always given for lunch and dinner. The dishes are approximately the same every day, a couple of dishes change, not tasty, but not nasty, just normal.
About the beach. There is NO direct access to the sea. The road to the sea takes 5 minutes at a leisurely pace, but you need to walk further to the hotel beach (7 minutes). The beach is equipped with everything you need, but the terrain is such that there is only enough space for one row. The beach is located in a place where the river flows into the sea, because of this, the sea is cold and dirty.
A little bit about rotovirus. During our five visits to Abkhazia, we got sick for the first time, the locals say that the sea is to blame. We stayed in the room for one day-got off lightly, were treated with enterosgel.

Unfortunately, we are completely disappointed in this hotel. The attitude of the staff leaves much to be desired. Upon arrival at the hotel, everything went wrong right away. As a result, the issue was resolved the next day when I complained to my tour operator.The bed linen has never been changed for 10 nights of stay. The child was never provided with towels. The room was cleaned only after you asked.The food is monotonous, you don't want to eat it on day 3 ((( I put a star only for nature, the sea and the appearance of the hotel.
