Being a local landmark, crowds of people come here, allowing the locals to profit from it. if we discard the historical significance of the institution, then in fact it is the most mediocre restaurant. The deposit at the entrance was charged 2000 rubles per person. When asked why not one and a half, as I read in the reviews below, the girl at the reception explained that 1,500 rubles per person is a daily deposit, and in the evening 2,000 rubles. In general, it feels like the price is taken out of your head.
On food: again, contradictory impressions. Salads are really very tasty and correspond to the declared level. Almost all dishes from the "Abkhazian cuisine" section are missing, which is very strange, considering that the place is historical and, in fact, food should be offered in accordance with the concept. But there is Tom Yam soup. Unfortunately, it's just disgusting. I ate a lot of different Tom yams in various establishments of different price segments, but this was the most disgusting Tom Yam. Rather, it's just fish soup.
Service: should Abkhazia even talk about it? The waiter served us as if we were servants. He spoke through his teeth, but he didn't want to help at all. but most of all, I was surprised that when ordering the main dishes, coffee and dessert, the first thing the waiter brought out was coffee. To my remark that I would like to drink coffee with dessert and preferably not cold coffee, the waiter reimbursed me that I actually did not warn him about this in advance. Surprisingly, even in establishments of a class below this, the waiters themselves are interested in when to serve drinks. It is NOT the client who should take care of this. At the same time, as everywhere in Abkhazia, the institution charges a service fee of 10% of the receipt. It's funny, because there is no smell of service here. I think as long as there is a service fee in the country, we will not wait for service, because waiters do not need to try and you can be rude, rude and treat customers randomly, because tips will fall into their pocket. And the passability of the restaurant is such that it is not necessary to try to ensure that the guest returns to them at all.
As a result, the restaurant, as an attraction, can be visited and viewed from the outside. But I would not recommend eating there. There are establishments with much better taste and service. Disappointed

Сегодня посетила ресторан "Гагрипш". Итак, почему же только 2 звезды?
Плюсы:
1) Очень хорошо сохранилась атмосфера 19-20 века, приятная музыка, чистый зал.
2) Десерт был вкусный, а основные блюда не плохими (на вкус).
Минусы:
1) Что с обслуживанием? Почему официант не знает что у них есть, а чего нет?! Кстати, на этот вопрос он ответил - "Я только проснулся...". В итоге нам принесли салат и... десерт. Почему сначала принесли чизкейк, а не основные блюда (к слову, он принёс лишний кусочек)?!
2) Что с подачей? Почему вместо аккуратного салата мы видим прямоугольник из оливье, на нём тигров креветку, немного икры и листик с боку (абсолютно непонятно, что он там забыл).
3) Свежесть продуктов (в моём случае это были мидии). Нам принесли тарелку с пятью мидиями (вместо заявленных 7-8 штук!!!). Мидии съели, вроде неплохо. Но потом у моей мамы появились первые симптомы отравления (подскачило давление, головокружение, боль в животе, тошнота), стало понятно что ЛИБО мидии были не первой свежести, ЛИБО сочетание продуктов в блюде весьма сомнительное... Прошло больше 7 часов, а живот до сих пор болит, стошнило. Благо я ела другое блюдо.
И я бы не возмущалась так сильно, если бы минимальный чек с человека не начинался от 1000 рублей (это не число из ветра, а правило в "визитной карточке" Абхазии).
В общем, самое приятное из всего что там было - это антураж и само здание.

Место историческое и очень любопытное с точки зрения архитектуры, жаль что часы не ходят, зато со второго этажа с веранды замечательный вид на море. Цены выше среднего, есть депозит 1500 на человека, если планируете оставить меньше, вас не пустят! Еда не плохая, но и особенной её тоже не назовешь, например салат цезарь за 600 рублей, ничем не отличался от такого же за 400 в обычном кафе. В общем для одного раза место неплохое, сделать красивые фото и полюбоваться редкой архитектурой, но не более того.

Обслуживание - жуть! Причем какая-то странная общая надменная атмосфера. Ты заходишь и тебя как будто оценивают по платежеспособности. Сразу - депозит 1500 на человека, это неприятно. Якобы держат бронь столов у окошка. Несколько раз мне хотелось уйти. Особенно после того как за соседним столиком ребятам официант сказала, что они выбрали дешевое вино!!! Серьезно? Если такой вы крутой ресторан, то как у вас может подаваться плохое вино. Вообщем мне дико это всё, как будто в девяностых побывала. Традиционным абхазским гостеприимством тут и не пахнет.
Но я всеравно была рада тут пообедать, очень понравилось внутри и балкон. Историческая ценность перевесила.
Брали - два супа, каре ягненка, мясо по-абхазски, картофель фри, две порции коньяка, овощи гриль. Счет вышел чуть больше 6тр

We visited this restaurant according to numerous, good reviews. We were very upset about visiting this institution. We asked the waiter if there were tomatoes in the dish, to which they replied no. As a result, they brought a dish containing tomatoes (I am allergic to this product), and finely chopped.
They offered to replace it with another one, without apologizing. It didn't end there, the waitress serving the next table just pushed me, while looking haughtily, of course not apologizing.
