It's a beautiful place. The weather is fresher than in the city. There are practically only electric cars on the road. Cool cafes. Of the disadvantages, only the mountains of garbage that occur periodically along the way.

In the summer, it's useless to write about the skating rink - it doesn't work. But there is a ladder to the dam under 200 steps, steep, everyone is climbing. Great views from above. Also, from platinum, you can walk further into the mountains as far as you can - to the Gorelnik thermal spring, to Shambulak, to the weather station, to Furmanov Peak.

The Medeu stadium itself is not impressive. His entourage is amazing. In the ring of mountains, viewed from several points. But in fact, the place is the starting point for further movement above. Bus number 12 from Almaty comes here, there are souvenir shops and very annoying photographers in national costumes, with birds and other animals. From here, a hiking trail along the stairs to the dam begins. Or you can take a minibus (700 tenge) or a taxi (4000 tenge) to Cimbulak.

Yes, this is a high-altitude skating rink. But, the condition and service are very sad (3 different rentals, the first one at the entrance is the worst. Next comes the inner one, where at least you can sharpen your skates for a reasonable fee. Everyone is trying to make money on you, it looks more like a bazaar 😂

The best ice in the country for ordinary people. Mountain air. The historical place is alive and thriving! Every year I come from Karaganda to ride medeo! It is convenient to pay via Caspi. There are skates. There is a dining room and snack bars and even a luggage room. Everything is real for people! And the bus is running. I recommend.

Basically, nothing has changed over the years. Parking has become more convenient. But funiculars are very bad! We went up to Zimbulak at 9.30 am. There is no ventilation in the cabin!!! A small window is open and there are three holes in the floor. We thought we would not rise to the end ((.
And when boarding, you need to jump in and out at each station on the move, it's just a nightmare!!!! A woman and a child fell in front of us, a girl of 6 years old!!!

The problem is with the skates, they are old, as if there is nothing left inside except plastic. When I took off my skates, I saw that a layer of skin had been removed. I was told that the medical center is on the other side of the rink. It is already strange that the medical center is located on the neighboring side of the entire infrastructure. But it's better now. After asking for a Band-Aid, they told me that they were not there, and gave me two paper napkins. Then why do we need a medical center if there are no plasters in it? I can't imagine what they would have given me if it had been something more serious.

High, beautiful, big skating rink. But there are a lot of people with different levels of skiing. In any case, enjoy your time. There are car stalls with hot coffee and food.
