very nice hotel! gorgeous lobby, lots of greenery. there are comfortable sofas everywhere. it is very convenient to hold meetings/ negotiations. an excellent Spa center at 7 a.m. has a hammam and a warm pool ready. delicious breakfasts .great room, normal lighting in the bathroom - the girls will understand))) delicious breakfasts and cuisine in general.

RIXOS Almaty is part of the Accorhotel chain.
The location of the hotel is Super central, all the interesting places in the city are nearby.
Restaurant; breakfast is all right but not for 5*.
The food is made from fresh ingredients.
The staff is friendly. However, we would like to improve the level of personnel management.

A good, big hotel. the rooms and the hotel itself are obviously tired, but at the same time warm, comfortable, with everything you need. You can comfortably sit in the lobby. I would also like to mention a good SPA area with a hammam, a 2-type sauna, and a large swimming pool. after a hard day, you can relax there with a buzz.

Bar and restaurant in the lobby - ordered soup, carried it for 35 minutes, eventually brought cold, club sandwich cold , from the refrigerator - redone.

The decorations of the hall, the halls for celebrations and conferences, the restaurant are gorgeous. But the rooms are a little tired: the furniture is shuffled, the plumbing is leaking, something is hanging out somewhere))) well, the service is three-fold: 4 times I asked for a board with an iron in the room, all 4 times politely accepted the request, but did nothing. After 3 requests, an iron appeared in the room. But the board did not materialize for 3 days of stay.

We lived in "Rixos Almaty" on December 13, 2024. The hotel is beyond praise. Room facilities, staff, and breakfasts. A cozy alley inside the hotel, where we had dinner with colleagues. Everything is great) Recommend👍🏻

A very nice hotel... 10 years ago it was probably… But today it's time to renovate. Very atmospheric indoor "courtyard", entourage, pleasant staff, but does not correspond to 5 stars ... but they try, but not much ;) There should be guests on the chill, but not the staff! I put a solid 4, but more - sorry!.. Oh, the bed is good - mattress and linen! This is for 5!

A wonderful hotel!
I was... a long time ago.
The visit in October 2024 was absolutely disappointing.
The room was not cleaned. Only after the call. The number is dead. It is very old and everything is asking for repairs. The room temperature is not regulated. The card receiver is not working properly at the entrance. There are midges in the bathroom, the bathroom is not washed. I asked to remove it - they did not come.
Restaurant/Breakfast:
It's just a shame. There is almost nothing to eat. The choice is extremely poor, all the tables were dirty at 9 a.m. despite the fact that 20 percent of them were occupied%…
There are no staff. One coffee machine is working, the other requires cleaning.
Obviously, management is not doing its job. No one runs the hotel.
If it's five stars, then what's in the hotels below the level?!

In Almaty, you can find a hotel of the same level 1.5 - 2 times cheaper. Even with a discounted Deluxe room for $300, it's expensive for kmk.

Well, it does not pull at the declared premium in any way because of the number of rooms and some, so to speak, "services". For example, the wildest refusal to use the refrigerator, since there is a minibar in it and they refuse to temporarily empty it. Pay a deposit of 100 thousand tenge and nothing else. This has never been seen anywhere else. Shabby curtains with revealing holes. The plumbing is working, but there is no lid with a designation, then the inscription is simply unreadable. Replace-the price of the penny issue. The carpet in the rooms and corridors has not seen dry cleaning for a very long time. You won't ask for cleaning in the rooms, and if they do, then blunder. Dust on the glass shelves.see the attached photos. There are only 2 towels in the room, a bath towel and a small one. The light in the rooms is dim. Cosmetic kits are replenished as they want and not always, for example, they will add a toothbrush with toothpaste. But there are also advantages - very polite staff at the reception and in the restaurant. Delicious buffet breakfasts and a large selection of food. Everything is fresh and selected. In summary, the price is too high if you stay in private. There are a lot of corporate clients from different companies, which is probably why the price is so high.

I've been staying at the hotel for a month, so I have something to say.
The lobby is luxurious: many beautiful and comfortable areas for relaxation / negotiations; very pleased with live plants; in general, it is expensive and impressive.
Rooms: first, they settled in a terribly smoky room (and on the floor where there are non-smoking rooms) with a view of a noisy street (although initially I asked to give me a room with a view of the square); moreover, I repeatedly heard complaints from other guests about smoky rooms on the same floor. After the request, the room was changed, but in principle, unexpectedly faced with such a situation in 2023 in a 5 * hotel.
The room has a comfortable bed; the view is excellent; the furniture and repairs are tired; the refrigerator is barely working; the drawers in the closet without closers, so they knock very loudly if you forget to hold it; when checking in in the shower cabin, there was already a fallen side, so the shower leaked (the cleaners did not notice it at point blank range, only after contacting the reception side they glued it, but it didn't really help). Low-quality instant coffee and powdered milk somehow do not correspond to 5*.
The quality of cleaning is without any complaints.
Breakfast: in general, it's not bad, but we were unpleasantly surprised by very sluggish waiters who ignore untidy and unserved tables at a fairly low load. Every other time, I had to bring the missing appliances to myself, since often the waiters could not be reached. Rotten cherries, poorly washed fruits were often found, and the products that ended up on the buffet were slowly replenished.
Spa: everything is great (beautiful and sparsely populated, friendly staff), it's a pity that there is no Jacuzzi.
Additional comments: the umbrella is given to residents only for a deposit of 10k tenge (well, it takes 10 minutes to complete) - somehow petty, considering that you have all the data of the residents and so on.
The hotel still cannot fully join the Accor ALL program (1.5 months ago, now everyone is joining, although Almaty has been listed on the Accor Rixos website for a long time). They also could not offer any alternative schemes for accumulating bonuses. It's amazing for a chain hotel where other hotels are in the program, but for some reason this one is not.
In general, the impression is contradictory. In itself, I liked the stay, the location of the hotel is excellent, the lobby is very beautiful, but, in my opinion, the above-mentioned jambs in a chain hotel of this class and cost should not be in principle. So for this money and expectations - only 3 points.

Apparently, I came across an unsuccessful room in which the drain in the shower does not work as it should be correctly and when I arrived at the room there was an unpleasant smell of standing water in the room.

A gorgeous hotel..... Only in the room, a candy wrapper from past tenants was found under the table, old stains on the carpets, but otherwise everything is fine. I believe that all the reviews are purchased. The hotel is extremely tired and requires restoration, new furniture and the selection of new staff, or this one should be trained. There is one name from rixos. The feeling that it was in the 90s and it remains. The service is very long. I have to run after everyone. The price and quality do not correspond to the word at all. Since there are many escorts in the hotel, be prepared that if you are a girl and you will be in the lobby at night, then the Kazakhs will also try to take you off. Or even better, if you return from somewhere at five in the morning, you will be rudely asked to get a room card, confusing you with another escort. It is very strange not to remember its inhabitants, the main task of the guard, by the way, wished one a good day in the morning, he did not answer anything and looked strangely. In short, staff training is crying out for you.
About the spa now. In general, it's OK, but everything is also very tired, I've never seen this anywhere. Massage, spa are performed ok, although not at the highest level as expected from a 5 star hotel. But while I was undergoing the procedure in the Turkish steam room, the cleaner next to me was mopping the floors. No comments.
And in the beauty salon, while the hair was being dried for brushing, I thought all the hair would be pulled out, other light curls were expected, as the master later admitted, it turns out she does not know how. Why start spoiling your hair. About facial massage - a nice woman.
In short, I will not come back for anything, they still have to pay extra for this.
By the way! About the dream, the terrible bed linen. I do not recommend it!!!

One of the advantages is a beautiful atrium. The rooms are terribly worn out, some of the light bulbs are not lit, the underfloor heating in the bathroom does not work, the air conditioner does not work for heat. He lived on the 7th floor, a 2-storey room. The 2nd floor is windowless, vibrations from ventilation installations on the roof interfere with sleep. In short, 3 * for the interior maximum.
